Our betting expert Jones Knows provides his insight across Saturday’s Premier League action where title-chasing Liverpool and Arsenal are hunting maximum points.
Brentford’s style of play does lend itself to soaking up pressure and their shots faced numbers are always higher than what you’d expect from a team competing in mid-table.
Only Southampton have faced more shots this season than the Bees (376). This opens up betting opportunities in the player shots markets for Liverpool and Trent Alexander-Arnold has a fine record in that regard against Brentford.
He’s had 11 shots in his six meetings with Thomas Frank’s team in the Premier League, posting two or more shots in four of those matches whilst his overall shots average of 1.7 per game in the last 15 across all competitions is very healthy.
The 11/10 with Sky Bet for him to register two or more shots does look generous.
SCORE PREDICTION: 1-3
When you have one of the most creative players in the division coming up against a team that don’t know how to defend their box, punters should be getting excited.
And that’s the case here with Antonee Robinson’s assist price of 4/1 with Sky Bet.
Fulham’s rampaging full-back took his tally to nine assists for the season with his assist double at West Ham – only Bukayo Saka (10) and Mohamed Salah (13) have recorded more now. Getting Robinson into dangerous positions down that left flank is a clear tactic from Marco Silva as shown by the American’s 103 open play crosses this season – 19 more than any other player in the league.
Meanwhile, Leicester have shipped 20 goals in their last eight games, conceding two or more in each of those. Robinson will create multiple chances.
SCORE PREDICTION: 1-3
West Ham’s terrible defence is the biggest challenge facing Graham Potter.
Across their last 40 Premier League games, West Ham have conceded a per game average of 2.13 goals – the worst record of any ever-present Premier League team in that timeframe. There haven’t been any signs of improvement on that front in Potter’s first two games where the Hammers have conceded four goals and 4.63 worth of expected goals against.
With Palace in good form, losing just one of their last 10 and winning three of their last four on the road, backing a goalscorer for them makes appeal and Daniel Munoz at 9/1 with Sky Bet looks overpriced. He’s always making aggressive runs into the box from the right and did find the net recently against both Newcastle and Manchester City.
SCORE PREDICTION: 1-2
There were huge Ashley Cole vibes about Myles Lewis-Skelly against Tottenham – he knocked my socks off with his performance. He is a freak. At just 18-years-old he relished the north London derby occasion and played well above his years.
No player made more tackles for Arsenal (4), won possession more times (6) and had a higher passing accuracy (93.8 per cent) than Lewis-Skelly as the statistics backed up the visuals.
But a betting angle that continues to draw me in is his ability to draw fouls. He plays with a very streetwise nature and is happy to initiate contact and hit the deck to get himself out of a sticky situation.
In his eight starts he’s drawn 18 fouls, putting him above the two fouls drawn per game average and the visual of his performances back up the data that he’s going to be a great player to back in the to be fouled market. You can get 11/8 with Sky Bet on him drawing two or more fouls which looks a very interesting angle in what should be another gritty home win for the Gunners.
SCORE PREDICTION: 2-1

As the Premier League season heats up, all eyes are on the top teams as they battle it out for the coveted title. With Liverpool currently leading the pack, Arsenal will be looking to edge closer to the top spot in their upcoming matches.
In this week’s Premier League predictions, we take a look at the key matchups and make our best bets for the weekend.
1. Arsenal vs. Crystal Palace
Arsenal have been in fine form recently, with new signing Ben White bolstering their defense. Crystal Palace, on the other hand, have struggled to find consistency this season. We predict that Arsenal will come out on top in this match, with a 2-1 victory.
Best bet: Arsenal to win
2. Manchester United vs. Aston Villa
Manchester United have had a mixed start to the season, but with Cristiano Ronaldo in top form, they will be looking to secure a win against Aston Villa. Villa have been impressive so far, but we predict that United will come out on top with a 3-1 victory.
Best bet: Over 2.5 goals
3. Liverpool vs. Brentford
Liverpool have been in scintillating form this season, with their attacking trio of Salah, Mane, and Jota firing on all cylinders. Brentford have been the surprise package of the season, but we predict that Liverpool will secure a comfortable 3-0 victory in this match.
Best bet: Liverpool to win to nil
With these predictions in mind, Arsenal will be looking to close the gap on Liverpool at the top of the table. Can they pull off a surprise and edge closer to the league leaders? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – the Premier League title race is heating up, and every match counts. Stay tuned for more exciting football action in the coming weeks.
