Princess Beatrice gives birth to second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their second child together, daughter Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozz, on Jan. 22.

The royal family’s Instagram account shared the news on Wednesday, with the first photo of the newborn taken by Mozzi, 41.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday, 22nd January, at 12:57pm,” the account wrote.

Athena was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces, the royal family said.

“The King and Queen, and other members of The Royal Family have all been informed and are delighted with the news,” the message continued. “Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.”

“Her Royal Highness and her daughter are healthy and doing well, and the family are enjoying spending time together with Athena’s older siblings, Wolfie and Sienna,” the royal family added.

The Princess of York, 36, welcomed her first child — a baby girl named Sienna — with her husband on Sept. 18, 2021.

Both of Beatrice’s daughter’s middle names are Elizabeth, as a nod to Beatrice’s late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.

Mozzi is also a proud dad to 8-year-old son Christopher “Wolfie” Mapelli Mozzi, whom he shares with ex Dara Huang.
