Running Point
Netflix has announced a February 27th premiere date for its basketball comedy series “Running Point” starring Golden Globe winner Kate Hudson. The project marks Hudson’s first major TV project as the solo lead.
The series sees the sister of the disgraced President of the Los Angeles Waves take over her brother’s position. The ambitious but often overlooked lady taking the reins of one of the most storied professional basketball franchises and has to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community she was the right choice for the job.

“The Vampire Diaries” and “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” actor Paul Wesley will executive produce an untitled comedy series project about a vampire who wants to be an actor. “Unstable” co-creator Victor Fresco wrote the series.
The story centers on a determined 25-year-old vampire who struggles with running the family business for his murderous and suffocating vampire parents while trying to chase his dream to become an actor. [Source: Deadline]
Traveler
Oscar nominee Lee Isaac Chung (“Minari,” “Twisters”) has closed a deal to direct a film adaptation of Joseph Eckert’s novel “Traveler” at Skydance. Justin Rhodes (“Terminator: Dark Fate”) wrote the current draft.
Part intimate family drama and part epic sci-fi, the story follows 47-year-old biology technician Scott Treder, who begins experiencing involuntary jumps through time. Adam Rosenberg, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger will produce. [Source: Deadline]
Seven Veils
XYZ Films has released the trailer for Atom Egoyan’s opera drama “Seven Veils” starring Amanda Seyfried. The film, which first premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, will open in cinemas on March 7th.
