According to sources like Daniel Richtman and @Jinsakuu, Paramount and Hasbro have negotiated for months and recently made significant progress. They also discussed a potential buyout of the franchise’s media rights but have not finalized any decision.

Paramount and Hasbro currently plan to co-develop the film and aim for a theatrical release in late 2026. They intend to avoid repeating the challenges of the 2017 Power Rangers reboot, which struggled at the box office.

Hasbro has owned the franchise since 2018 and has made strategic changes to its management. After the 30th-anniversary celebrations, including the Once & Always special and the Cosmic Fury series, Hasbro paused most major Power Rangers projects.
