Ryan Reynolds faces renewed scrutiny over alleged behavior as Blake Lively battles legal drama with Justin Baldoni

Ryan Reynolds, celebrated for his portrayal of the anti hero Deadpool, finds himself in the public eye once again after past claims by his Deadpool co-star TJ Miller were brought back into the spotlight. The resurfaced allegations come amid an escalating legal battle involving Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, and filmmaker Justin Baldoni.
In 2022, during an episode of The Adam Carolla Show, TJ Miller accused Reynolds of being “horrifically mean” to him on the set of Deadpool. Recalling an incident, Miller claimed Reynolds, while in character, told him, “You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough exposition that it’s funny, and then we can leave and get back to the real movie.” While Miller described the interaction as “weird,” he maintained there was no lingering animosity but admitted he would not work with Reynolds again. Later, Miller revealed Reynolds had reached out via email to clarify the misunderstanding, insisting their relationship was amicable.
These comments have resurfaced amid a separate controversy involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the director of It Ends With Us. Blake Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and fostering a “hostile work environment” during the film’s production. Baldoni, however, has denied the allegations and countered with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Blake Lively, Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Soane.
Baldoni’s lawsuit claims Blake Lively took over the creative process and alleges she forced him and his family to stay in a basement holding area during the film’s premiere. In contrast, Lively’s legal team dismissed Baldoni’s lawsuit as a classic example of DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender), stating, Reportedly the evidence will show that Sony asked Ms. Blake Lively to oversee Sony’s cut of the film, which they then selected for distribution, and it was a magnificent success.
