Stephen D. Miller,

Age 64, of Magnolia passed away Sat., Jan. 18, 2025.  He was born Dec. 22, 1960, in Canton, a son of the late John and Carol (Roth) Miller.  Steve was a 1979 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, where he earned All-Ohio Honors in track and a 1984 graduate of Mount Union College where he earned All-America Honors in the pole vault.  Steve, along with his dear friend Tod Wacker, co-owned Alan Douglas Construction for over 25 years.  He retired in 2016 when he and his wife opened Creekside Cottage Winery.  Steve coached swimming and track at Wadsworth High School for many years. 

Survived by his wife, Jenifer Miller; three daughters, Athena (Steve) Spellman, Alicia (Robb) McIntyre, and Kayla (Alex) Larson; one son Jordan Bidlingmaier and his fiancée, Stephanie Basile; two sisters, Beth (Liam) Robertson, Susan (David) Weybrecht; two brothers, Paul Miller and Daniel Miller; four grandchildren, who brought endless joy to “Grandpa Steve”, Avery, Norah, Jaclyn, and Owen; special great niece and nephew, Isla and Landry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold private services at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Steve’s memory may be made to the A.L.S. Association or the donor’s favorite charity.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.

Steve had a lifelong passion for coaching, dedicating his time to swimming and pole vaulting. He inspired countless young athletes, teaching not just the skills of the sport, but also the value of hard work and perseverance.  Steve was a kind, generous, loving soul who touched the lives of many.  Known for his warm smile and easy-going nature, Steve loved life and made it brighter for everyone around him.  His kindness, positive energy and infectious laugh will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Miller on January 18, 2025.

Stephen was a beloved husband, father, and friend who touched the lives of many with his passion for politics and dedication to public service. He served as a senior advisor to the President of the United States and was known for his unwavering commitment to conservative ideals.

In addition to his work in politics, Stephen was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, and extended family.

A private funeral service will be held to honor Stephen’s memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in his honor.

Stephen will be remembered for his intelligence, wit, and unwavering dedication to his beliefs. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire others for years to come. Rest in peace, Stephen Miller.
