BOSTON (WHDH) – The Boston Pops are marking 30 years under the leadership of Keith Lockhart with the spring season a celebration of the conductor’s decades-long career.
Grammy, Tony, and Emmy-winner Cynthia Erivo, recently nominated for her third Academy Award for her performance in Wicked, will make her Pops debut during the May 8 opening concert, where she will perform “a captivating array of songs from a wide range of songwriters and composers.”
Erivo was recently named the 2025 Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year.
Lockhart has led the Pops since 1995; since then he’s conducted more than 2,250 concerts featuring over 300 guest stars.
Tickets for the spring season go on sale on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m.

Here are 30 photos from the Vans Warped Tour history in celebration of the fest’s 2025 return for its 30th anniversary.
It would have been difficult to predict the Warped Tour’s trajectory after its initial start in 1995.
The tour’s inaugural year featured a top-heavy lineup with No Doubt, Sublime and Deftones among its headliners. Then there were a bunch of acts who are unlikely to be remembered today. (Shyster? Mung?)
Warped would eventually evolve into a summer touring juggernaut with even more bands and stages. Eventually, the lineups started to get more diverse, adding names like Eminem, the Black Eyed Peas and Katy Perry.
And while those standout to a wider base of music fans, those more familiar with the Warped Tour will always associate it with a roster of bands they were guaranteed to see every summer, if not every other summer.
Punk bands like NOFX, Pennywise, Less Than Jake and The Bouncing Souls continued to provide the backbone of the traveling festival before the tour stopped in 2019.

PlayStation will restock most of its 30th anniversary collection at 1 pm EST today.
Limited stock of the DualSense, Portal, DualSense Edge, and digital PS5 bundle will be available.
There won’t be much to go around so all of it will almost certainly sell out quickly.
PlayStation released a range of consoles and accessories last year to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The collection gave the PS5, DualSense, and other accessories a PS1-grey makeover and wound up being incredibly popular, selling out fast. However, it seems there will be at least one more chance for those who missed out to get their hands on some of the items in the anniversary range.
According to Wario64, while the information hasn’t been shared on PlayStation’s official website, four of the items in the anniversary collection will be restocked at PS Direct from 1 pm EST today. Those four items are the digital PS5 bundle, the PlayStation Portal, the DualSense, and the DualSense Edge.
No sign of the 30th anniversary PS5 Pro, but since that was limited to 12,300 units, it was always unlikely it would ever be available again after the initial sell-out.
The PS5 which was given a grey makeover to celebrate PlayStation’s birthday is the slimmer model of the digital version of the console that was released in 2023. The anniversary bundle comes with a matching DualSense as well as a cover for a disc drive if you have one. Yes, the item you can see pictured is just a disc drive cover so your white drive matches the rest of your console. This bundle does not come with a disc drive of its own.
PlayStation’s 30th Anniversary Collection Is Getting A Limited Restock
One More Chance To Bag Yourself A Grey DualSense
The DualSense, which has received the most restocks since the range was released and likely means it has been the most popular item in the collection, will also be available separately. It will cost $79.99 when it gets restocked later today, so slightly cheaper than other special editions of the PS5 controller such as the Helldivers 2 edition. That’s also still available ready for its release on February 6.
PS5 Digital 30th Anniversary Bundle
Part of the PlayStation 30th anniversary collection, the digital edition of the PS5 has been given a grey makeover to make it look more like PlayStation’s original console. The bundle includes the console, a matching DualSense controller, and a grey disc drive cover should you need it.
PS5 DualSense 30th Anniversary Edition
The DualSense is the official controller for the PlayStation 5 by Sony, sporting advanced haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, built-in microphone and headset jack, speaker, and responsive touch panel.
The anniversary Portal is the item to have been restocked the least since it initially sold out during the anniversary collection’s pre-order period. The Portal has been popular in every color so it makes sense that the grey version was snapped up pretty quickly. Unlike the DualSense, the grey Portal and DualSense Edge are slightly more expensive than their standard white versions – $219.99 each for the anniversary versions versus $199.99 for the regular ones.
The PlayStation Portal is a handheld companion to Sony’s PlayStation 5 console. Based around the features of a DualSense controller and Remote Play, it features an eight-inch LCD screen at 1080p resolution capable of 60fps, a headphone jack for wired audio.
PlayStation DualSense Edge Wireless Controller
The PlayStation DualSense Edge is a highly customizable pro controller designed for use with the PS5 console, featuring modular stick caps, fully remappable inputs, and custom profiles.
I say this every time, and one of these times it’ll be true, but this might be the last chance we have to buy items from this collection. It was always branded as limited edition, and this restock will be a limited one. On the bright side, if you miss out again later today, pre-orders for the new additions to PlayStation’s Midnight Black collection are now open.

If the old-school PlayStation and its iconic gray color are dear to your heart, you probably already know that Sony has been releasing a series of products for the PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, including a limited-edition PlayStation 5 Pro bundle and a PS5 Slim bundle. The products, which include consoles, controllers, a disc-drive cover and accessories, are color-themed to the original PlayStation game console, which was released in Japan in 1994 and in the US in 1995.
Gamers could jump on the products back in October, but a limited restock of the 30th anniversary products is out on Thursday, Jan. 23. According to a PlayStation post on X, this restock doesn’t include PS5 Pros, but does include the PS5 digital bundle for $500, the PS Portal Remote Player for $220, the DualSense Edge wireless controller for $220, and the standard DualSense wireless controller for $80. Quantities are limited, and the October items sold quickly, so jump on it if this deal speaks to your totally sweet ’90s memories.
CNET’s Scott Stein got an exclusive early hands-on with the PS5 Pro, which he says “is all about making big-TV gaming a happier experience.” The new console, he says, is “a big, graphically boosted piece of hardware that can keep up with ever-changing PCs and, in some ways, maybe exceed them.”

As mentioned in our Nvidia RTX 5090 review, the sought-after GPU may be the only thing that’s harder to find in stock than the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection. No word if we’ll also see a PS5 Disc Drive restock today as well.
Sony’s PlayStation Direct store is the only confirmed store at which the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection will be in stock. You’ll have to wait in a virtual queue starting at 1pm ET and shoppers can then access the store.
Sony PlayStation Direct always goes first. Does that mean other stores in the US will have restocks today or sometime afterward? There’s no confirmation, but I’m also tracking individual stores across America.
I’m also tracking which stores in the US will have PS5 30th Anniversary items in stock. Since this is the first time anything has been in stock since before Christmas, I’m also tracking inventory at Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Amazon, GameStop and Sam Club.
The limited-edition PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary console won’t be in stock today simply because Sony manufactured a limited number of systems. Specifically, there were just 12,300 consoles sold worldwide, and Sony numbered them individually.
Because the rare PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Collection console cost $1,000 in the US, I don’t expect Sony to sell it again (and diminish the value to the initial buyers). But, if that changes, I’ll send out notifications promptly and update this restock page.
