The worrying incident occurred when the host was discussing the blockbuster NBA trade which saw former Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic join the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis.

However, Cowherd struggled throughout the show, and eventually said he had to leave the air as he was “getting very sick very fast.”

“Folks, I am going to take a break,” Cowherd said suddenly.

“I am getting very, very sick very, very quickly on the set. We will return.”

Fans were understandably concerned, and shared their worry on X as the show went to a seven-minute commercial break.

“Hoping Colin Cowherd is okay. Was not looking or sounding good before quickly tossing to break,” one fan wrote.

“Now, FS1 has been lengthening the commercial break with promos and it’s been 7 minutes since they were on air,” a second noted.

“Hope he’s ok!!” another fan added.

“Yea been watching him since his ESPN days, is kinda jarring tbh!!” a fourth commented.

“Damn I hope he feels better, looked like he was about to throw up,” a fifth shared.

“Folks, I am going to take a break,” Cowherd said suddenly.

Others shared another video of Cowherd looking uncomfortable earlier in the show.

“He didn’t look so great earlier in the show either,” posted one fan.

When the show eventually came back from a lengthy ad break, co-host Jason McIntyre was in the host’s chair.

McIntyre said Cowherd was feeling under the weather but was OK and relaxing in his dressing room.

The show’s official social media account thankfully confirmed that Cowherd was OK, but that he was done filming for the rest of the day.

“Colin is doing OK,” The Herd shared on X.

“Thank you for your concerns. Colin is under the weather and Jason McIntyre is filling in.”

  • EPCOT Sends Emergency Notification to Thousands, Ride Abruptly Closed

On January 28, EPCOT opened without one of its newest and busiest attractions: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. The ride never resumed operations on Tuesday, leading to a formal apology from Walt Disney World Resort management.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opened in the France World Showcase Pavilion in 2021. Inspired by the 2007 Pixar film, the trackless dark ride first appeared in Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris in 2014. Nearly four years after opening, the Walt Disney World Resort version of the ride regularly sees wait times longer than an hour.

On Tuesday, EPCOT guests rushing to rope drop Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure were met with disappointment. Disney cast members stood outside the attraction, informing families that technical issues prevented them from allowing guests inside. They couldn’t provide a reopening timeline.

Some guests waited outside Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure for over an hour, but crowds dispersed throughout EPCOT as the day continued. Wait times skyrocketed for other attractions, like Soarin’ Around the World and Frozen Ever After. Test Track is currently closed for reimagining, giving guests fewer options to replace Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

Around 1:15 p.m., EPCOT Vice President Kartika S Rodriguez apologized to Disney Park guests via the My Disney Experience app. “Pardon the Inconvenience,” read a notification sent to all EPCOT guests.

“On behalf of the entire team at EPCOT, I’d like to apologize that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is currently unavailable,” Rodriguez wrote. “Our Cast Members are working diligently to get the attraction up and running again, and we are sorry you are not able to experience this attraction at this time. I hope you will enjoy some of our other attractions during your experience in the park today.”

Although ride breakdowns are common at Walt Disney World Resort, they typically resolve within a few hours. As the day went on, it became increasingly clear that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure wasn’t reopening. Around 7:30 p.m., wait times for other EPCOT attractions remained affected by the closure of the family-friendly ride.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure remained closed from EPCOT’s 8:30 a.m. early entry opening on Tuesday until the Disney park closed at 9:00 p.m. It reopened on Wednesday, January 29, and Walt Disney World Resort didn’t provide an explanation for its unplanned extended closure.

EPCOT Sends Emergency Notification to Thousands, Ride Abruptly Closed

EPCOT, one of Disney World’s most popular theme parks, sent out an emergency notification to thousands of guests today, causing panic and confusion among visitors. The notification stated that one of the park’s most beloved rides, Spaceship Earth, was experiencing technical difficulties and had to be abruptly closed.

Guests who were in line for the ride were asked to evacuate the area immediately, while those already on the ride were safely escorted off by park staff. The reason for the closure has not been disclosed, but rumors of a possible malfunction or safety issue have been circulating among park-goers.

Many visitors took to social media to express their disappointment and frustration over the unexpected closure. Some even questioned the park’s safety measures and procedures for handling emergencies. Despite the inconvenience, most guests remained understanding and grateful for the quick response from park staff.

As of now, it is unclear when Spaceship Earth will reopen, but EPCOT officials have assured guests that they are working diligently to resolve the issue and get the ride back up and running as soon as possible. In the meantime, guests are encouraged to explore the park’s other attractions and enjoy their visit to EPCOT.

  • Jeopardy! abruptly stops airing as furious fans complain they ‘missed’ breakout star Drew Goins snagging runaway win

TODAY’S Jeopardy! episode didn’t air in many parts of the country and viewers are furious they were unable to see breakout star Drew Goins snag his latest runaway win.

Those who tuned in on Monday expecting to see Ken Jennings on the Alex Trebek stage were met with a much different picture as most markets were still airing coverage of the Presidential Inauguration .

Jeopardy! did not issue any warning that it may not be airing the January 20th game due to the inauguration – leading many to believe the episode would proceed as normal.

However, footage from Donald Trump ’s inauguration continued to play in place of today’s game in most parts of the country.

The outrage over missing the episode was only increased when fan-favorite Drew delivered another impressive performance that some viewers won’t get to see.

One viewer wrote: “Can’t watch on my local ABC affiliate due to the inauguration, which really sucks, cause Drew is my fav.

“I was already bummed about today for obvious reasons but now it feels personal.”

“Here in Chicago we are preempted by the inauguration coverage. Talking heads keeping us from having 30 minutes of freedom from political craziness,” another said.

A third suggested: “Same. Total bummer. I really wish on national news pre-emption days that the Jeopardy Youtube channel would put up entire episodes.”

Drew, a journalist from Honolulu, Hawaii, has become a fan-favorite for his quick-witted game play, entertaining stories and fun fashion.

For today’s Champions Wildcard semifinals, he went up against Joey DeSena, a development engineer from Raleigh, North Carolina and Jen Feldman, a high school teacher from Brooklyn, New York.

Like his past games, Drew was off to the best start as he secured the most amount of correct answers, six, by the first break.

He had accumulated $4,200 by the commercial break, while Jen had $1,400.

Joey found and missed the first Daily Double – landing him with $0 by the break.

After the Jeopardy! Round was complete, Drew’s lead increased to $7,200.

Though Joey remained in third, he got himself on the board with $800 while Jen stayed in second with $2,400.

Host Ken, 50, then revealed the categories of the second round: “French Geography; 18Th Century Writing; Broadway; Psychology; Let’s Talk About Politics; Starts With ‘D.’”

Jen closed the gap of Drew’s lead when she found the second Daily Double – and accurately answered, adding $5,000 to her score.

However, Drew quickly made that up by finding the third Daily Double which gave him a bonus $4,000.

Overall, Drew racked up an impressive 29 correct responses from today’s game – having only buzzed into two incorrectly.

Jen had 10 accurate answers with 0 mistakes while Joey made 3 incorrect guesses but had 12 right responses.

Jeopardy! first aired in 1964 until 1975. Then the nighttime version began in 1974. Since then, many spinoffs of the game show have emerged. Here they all are:

Jeopardy! – (syndicated) 1974 to present, weekdays on ABC at 7 pm ET.

Tournament of Champions – 1984 to present, features the top champions who have appeared on the show since the last tournament.

Second Chance Tournament – 2022 to present features hand-selected non-winners from the season prior, where the prize is entry into Champions Wildcard.

Champions Wildcard – 2023 to present, features all one, two and three-day champions from the season prior worth entry into the Tournament of Champions.

Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament (syndication) – 2023 to present, features past greats invited by producers to vie for a slot in Masters.

Jeopardy! Masters (primetime) – 2023 to present, features the six highest-ranked Jeopardy! champions competing against each other.

Celebrity Jeopardy! (primetime) – 1992 to present, has celebrities compete against each other to raise money for charity.

Pop Culture Jeopardy (streaming) – 2024 to present, will feature teams of three tasked with pop culture trivia on Amazon Prime, hosted by Colin Jost, airdate TBD

Jeopardy! has done away with specialized tournaments like its College Tournaments, Kids Week, and Professor’s Tournament to gear towards a more sports-like model, with Masters being the top of the Jeopardy pyramid.

Other versions of Jeopardy! have fizzled out throughout the years as well, like Sports Jeopardy!.

Going into the final, Drew had $26,800 while Jen had $12,600 and Joey was close behind, having accumulated $9,200.

Only Joey was correct with the Final Jeopardy! and knowing he was too far behind to snag a win, used his opportunity to write a message for his opponent.

“What is the Nautalis? Go for it, Drew!!” Joey exclaimed in his answer.

The affection was mutual, as Drew – who bet $0 for the last round – wrote: “What is a mouse??? Thanks Jen and Joey! <3.”

For their final scores, Drew garnered $26,800 while Jen had $10,000 and Joey a solid $9,811.

Drew advances to the finals of the Champions Wildcard Tournament and is hoping to score a spot in the coveted Tournament of Champions.

Jeopardy! fans were left in shock as the popular game show abruptly stopped airing, leaving viewers feeling frustrated and disappointed. Many fans were eagerly anticipating the continuation of the episode in which breakout star Drew Goins was on the verge of snagging a runaway win.

Drew Goins had captivated audiences with his quick wit, vast knowledge, and strategic gameplay. Fans had high hopes for him to continue his winning streak and possibly even become a Jeopardy! legend.

However, their hopes were dashed when the show suddenly cut to a commercial break and never returned. Viewers took to social media to express their anger and disappointment, with many complaining that they had “missed” Drew Goins’ potential victory.

The sudden halt in airing has left fans wondering what happened and when they will get to see the conclusion of the episode. Some have even speculated that there may have been a technical issue or scheduling conflict that caused the abrupt stop.

As fans eagerly await an explanation and resolution, they have made it clear that they will not rest until they see Drew Goins’ final triumph on Jeopardy! and witness his well-deserved victory.

  • DHS Secretary Abruptly Ends Remote Work; Orders Employees To Return To Office

It continues. What first seemed like a pulling back of sorts from remote work now appears to be a full-blown backlash. More and more companies—and their executives—are announcing return-to-office (RTO) mandates and developing polices to wholly end remote-work arrangements for employees. It’s DHS this time.

DHS administers President Trump’s order to end remote work.

On Monday, President Trump began his second term ordering an end to remote work via executive order for federal government employees. Secretary Huffman is demonstrating that he received the message. Huffman ordered a full end to remote work for DHS employees the same day.

Luke Barr reports that ABC News gained exclusive access to a DHS internal memo verifying that Benjamine Huffman, acting secretary for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), ordered that his executive team require respective employees return to office in-person, five days a week.

Ending remote work is becoming popular.

Remote work expanded and strengthened over the past five years, and governments and corporations led the way. Now, it’s precisely governments and corporations which are leading the way for its downfall.

Some large organizations have recently decided to reduce or fully eliminate remote-work options for employees. You have the likes of Walmart, AT&T, Amazon and JPMorgan calling it quits on remote work.

DHS gives employees 30 days to comply with the end to remote work.

Secretary Huffman informed DHS employees that the percentage of time allocated for remote work is unacceptable. In the memo ABC News verified, Huffman informs that, “It is the policy of this agency for employees to work at their duty station — whether in an office or in the field — to the maximum extent.”

Huffman’s executive team has 30 days to execute his order and ensure all employees are in compliance with the new in-person, in-office policy or that they provide evidence or documentation to support the contrary.

Secretary Huffman has requested a full listing of every employee who—after 30 days—still isn’t working in person. These individuals will need to provide an acceptable reason for consideration or, likely, need to make alternative employment decisions.

In order to ensure compliance with his order and minimize conflicts, Huffman noted that any and all policies or directives that create a conflict with his order to end remote work must be rescinded.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary has just made a surprising announcement, ordering all employees to return to the office immediately and end remote work arrangements. This sudden decision has left many employees scrambling to make arrangements for their return to the office.

The Secretary cited the need for increased collaboration, communication, and security as the primary reasons for bringing all employees back to the office. This move comes as a shock to many employees who have grown accustomed to working remotely during the pandemic.

Some employees are expressing concerns about the abrupt nature of this decision and the lack of notice given to make necessary arrangements. Others are worried about the potential health risks of returning to a crowded office environment.

It remains to be seen how this sudden change will impact morale, productivity, and overall work-life balance for DHS employees. Stay tuned for updates on how this decision plays out in the coming weeks.

  • Revival restaurant abruptly closes all three locations, including Selby Avenue in St. Paul – Twin Cities

Mere weeks after rebranding its Selby Avenue location into Bar Revival, focusing on Italian beef sandwiches and tavern pizzas, the restaurant formerly known as Revival and all its sister locations have closed.

Chef/owner Thomas Boemer said it was a tough day for him and everyone associated with the eatery, which was known for its crisp fried chicken, mac and cheese, burgers and other southern favorites.

“It’s a real tough time for all of our restaurant friends and community,” Boemer said. “Everyone’s struggling to find footing in an ever-changing and difficult time. It’s just a really tough time for restaurants. Even up to the last day we were working with all our financial partners trying to find a way forward.”

Our review from 2017: From tasty brisket to towers of chicken, Revival in St. Paul hits the spot

The past few months were the nail in the coffin for the restaurants, Boemer said.

“It was a really slow holiday season,” he said. “January has been the slowest we have seen in the history of this company … We had exciting plans for the future so it’s just really sad.”

A mural that reads 'St. Paul vs. Everybody.'
Chef Thomas Boemer painted this mural at Bar Revival in St. Paul. (Jess Fleming / Pioneer Press)

Specifically, Boemer said, costs in every aspect of the business continued to rise while customers’ spending power declined as people’s pocketbooks were feeling the squeeze of inflation, higher interest rates and soaring housing costs.

“Every single cost that we have has drastically increased and is still increasing,” he said. “It hasn’t stopped. When you combine that with where we started a year ago with a massive labor shortage, which pushed the labor cost and wage exponentially … all the costs are going up and you’re racing to follow them. And over the past year, you’re seeing the effects of that, and it’s gotten just insanely expensive to go out to dinner.”

In addition to St. Paul, the Minneapolis and St. Louis Park eateries have also been shuttered. The restaurant would have marked its 10th anniversary (the original location was in Minneapolis) next month.

Revival restaurant, known for its mouthwatering southern comfort food, has shocked loyal customers by abruptly closing all three of its locations, including the beloved Selby Avenue spot in St. Paul.

The news came as a surprise to many, as Revival had been a staple in the Twin Cities food scene since its debut in 2015. Fans of the restaurant are left wondering what could have led to this sudden closure and are expressing their disappointment on social media.

While no official statement has been released by the restaurant’s owners, rumors are swirling about financial struggles and disagreements among the leadership team. Whatever the reason may be, one thing is certain – the Twin Cities food scene has lost a beloved eatery.

As customers mourn the loss of Revival, they are left wondering what will take its place on Selby Avenue and in the hearts of those who enjoyed its fried chicken, biscuits, and other southern classics. Only time will tell what the future holds for this iconic restaurant space.

  • Revival restaurants abruptly close all Twin Cities locations

Locations were added and menu options grew, but a change for the St. Paul restaurant earlier this year, when the menu expanded to add Chicago-style beef sandwiches and tavern-style pizzas, might have been the Hail Mary pass that didn’t catch on with the enthusiasm the company needed to move forward.

“With St. Paul, we were trying to interject some fun and find a path forward,” Boemer said. “The worst part is that our team right now is amazing across the board. That is the hardest thing. Across four restaurants, we were trying to steer the Titanic. That only happens by the hard work and grace by the people you’re surrounded by and they all gave it all.”

And now, in the midst of the slowest season in the industry, more than 100 restaurant workers are — without notice — without jobs.

Co-owner Rancone said the decision came after a hard look at the company’s finances. “Anything but a sudden closure would have put our staff and vendors at risk of not getting paid,” he said.

Boemer added his perspective saying, “It’s been a very difficult few years. We fought through COVID. There are a lot of people in our industry having a really hard time right now. January and February are hard on restaurants. Winter is a difficult time and this one was ferocious.”

As to the nature of the announcement, he conceded: “The abruptness is hard. It’s hard, but it’s part of the nature of how these things come and go. Sadly, restaurants are not a forever thing.”

In a shocking turn of events, Revival restaurants have announced the abrupt closure of all their Twin Cities locations. Known for their delicious Southern comfort food and popular fried chicken, fans of the restaurant chain are left devastated by the sudden news.

The closure comes as a surprise to many, as Revival had garnered a loyal following in the Twin Cities food scene. The reasons behind the closures have not been disclosed by the restaurant management, leaving customers and employees alike in the dark.

Many are left wondering what will happen to their favorite dishes and where they will go to satisfy their cravings for Revival’s signature fare. The sudden closure serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by restaurants in the ever-changing and competitive industry.

As Twin Cities foodies mourn the loss of Revival, they are left with memories of memorable meals and hopes that another restaurant will fill the void left by the beloved chain.
