Jay Z Wants Lawyer Fined Over Lawsuit Accusing Him and Diddy of Rape
- Jay-Z is seeking sanctions over a “Jane Doe” lawsuit that accuses him and Diddy of rape.
- He wants the case dismissed and the Doe’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, to pay a cash fine.
- The lawsuit alleges Jay-Z and Diddy raped the 13-year-old Doe after the 2000 VMA awards.
Rapper Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter is fighting back against a lawsuit that alleges he and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped a 13-year-old girl during a Video Music Awards after-party in 2000.
In a legal filing Wednesday, the music entrepreneur asks a federal judge in Manhattan to dismiss the lawsuit and order monetary sanctions against Tony Buzbee, the Texas attorney who sued over the alleged incident in October.
The rape claim suffers from “substantial inaccuracies” which should have led Buzbee to drop the lawsuit, Carter’s filing says.
Those include woman’s father telling NBC News he had no memory of picking his distraught young daughter up from the after-party and driving her home as described in the lawsuit.
“It strains credulity,” Carter’s filing says, “that a father — impelled to jump into his car in the middle of the night to undertake a minimum 10-hour round trip to pick up his 13-year-old daughter at a random gas station—would forget the entire episode.”
Buzbee has also been unable to explain why the Alabama woman who filed the suit, now in her late-30s, told NBC News in December that she had a conversation at the after-party with rapper Benji Madden, whose distinctive “The Last Supper” tattoo she described to the network. Madden later told NBC that he was touring the Midwest during the VMAs that year.
Combs and Carter have both denied the sexual assault.
“A single, initial media interview turned up glaring problems that counsel had either ignored or never investigated,” Wednesday’s Carter filing, drafted by Manhattan attorney Alex Spiro, complains.
In court filings, Buzbee has dismissed both inconsistencies as unsurprising memory lapses.
“Calling this a ‘memory lapse’ cannot obscure counsel’s lapses in investigating whether multi-decade-old recollections aligned with reality,” Carter’s filing says.
“These factual discrepancies are neither isolated nor surprising. They result from Mr. Buzbee’s rush to launch allegations unhindered by mandatory diligence,” the filing says, asking the judge assigned to the lawsuit to impose unspecified cash damages and drop the lawsuit.
Reached for comment Wednesday night, Buzbee said, “With every frantic filing the defense in this case grows more desperate. The rules apply equally to everyone, even those who wrongly think they are above the law. No one is above the law.”
The original lawsuit was brought against Combs, his companies, and unnamed accomplices, including “Celebrity A.” Carter was identified as Celebrity A when the suit was amended December.
Since then, Buzbee and Carter have traded barbs in public statements and court documents, including a previous filing by the rapper seeking dismissal and sanctions. Two weeks after Carter was named as “Celebrity A” in the revised lawsuit, Buzbee filed a new lawsuit accusing Carter’s Roc Nation of trying to intimidate his law firm and turn his plaintiffs against him.
“This conduct was specifically targeted at our firm so we would not pursue cases related to the Diddy litigation,” Buzbee said at the time in a statement to Business Insider. “But, we will not be bullied or intimidated.”
Jay Z filed a motion in court requesting for the lawyer representing the woman accusing him and Diddy of rape to be fined for filing a frivolous lawsuit. The lawsuit, which alleges that Jay Z and Diddy drugged and sexually assaulted the woman, has been vehemently denied by both artists. In the court documents, Jay Z’s legal team argues that the lawsuit is baseless and lacks any credible evidence to support the claims made by the woman. They go on to accuse the lawyer of filing the lawsuit as a publicity stunt and an attempt to tarnish the reputations of both Jay Z and Diddy.
The motion for the lawyer to be fined comes as a response to what Jay Z and Diddy’s legal team see as a blatant abuse of the legal system. They are seeking to hold the lawyer accountable for what they believe to be a malicious attempt to defame their clients.
As the legal battle continues, it remains to be seen whether the court will grant Jay Z’s motion for the lawyer to be fined. In the meantime, both Jay Z and Diddy continue to maintain their innocence and refute the allegations made against them.

The Trump Administration has fired back at Selena Gomez after the singer shared (and shortly deleted) a tearful video in which she apologized for the deportation of undocumented immigrants in the United States.
The White House shared a video featuring commentary from mothers of children who were killed by undocumented people with the caption, “Their courageous mothers had something to say to @SelenaGomez and those who oppose securing our borders.”
The video, featuring women whose children were tragically murdered by undocumented people, also calls Gomez’ character into question and baselessly implies she has no empathy for the victims, and was faking her reaction to the mass deportations.
Earlier this month Gomez, who is a third-generation Mexican American, said in her video, “All my people are getting attacked … the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry. I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.” She soon took down the clip amid complaints from Trump supporters.
“Apparently it’s not OK to show empathy for people,” Gomez wrote in an Instagram Story after taking the video down.
On Friday the White House shared its response, which featured the mothers of Jocelyn Nungaray, Kayla Hamilton and Rachel Morin. Nungaray was killed by two undocumented man from Venezuela in June of last year. Hamilton was killed in 2022 by a teenage member of the MS-13 gang, and Morin was raped and murdered by Victor Martinez Hernandez, who entered the U.S. from El Salvador.
“Seeing that video, it’s hard to believe that it’s actually genuine and real because she’s an actress,” Nungaray’s mother Alexis says in the video. “My daughter was a child. There’s many other children whose lives were taken due to people who crossed here illegally.”
“You don’t know who you’re crying for. What about our children who were brutally murdered and raped and beat to death and left on the floor by these illegal immigrants?” asks Hamilton’s mother, Tammy Nobles.
Notably, Gomez in her original video was talking about children and other innocent people being deported despite the Trump administration’s claim the actions are targeted only at criminals. (Worth noting that by itself, being undocumented isn’t a crime, though crossing the border illegally is classified as a civil offense.)
The post Trump Responds to Selena Gomez’s Tearful Reaction to Mass Deportations With Clip Essentially Accusing Actress of Faking It appeared first on TheWrap.
In a recent interview, Selena Gomez tearfully expressed her deep sadness and frustration over the mass deportations happening in the United States. The singer and actress spoke out about the impact these deportations are having on families and communities, calling for compassion and understanding. However, not everyone was moved by Gomez’s emotional plea. President Donald Trump responded to her tearful reaction with a clip essentially accusing the actress of faking it. In the clip, Trump can be heard saying, “I’ve seen better acting in a B-movie. Sad!”
Many people were outraged by Trump’s insensitive comments, criticizing him for attacking Gomez instead of addressing the real issue at hand. They pointed out that Gomez’s emotional reaction was genuine and heartfelt, and that dismissing her feelings only serves to further divide and dehumanize those affected by mass deportations.
It is disappointing to see the President of the United States resorting to such petty and callous behavior in response to a serious and pressing issue. Instead of mocking those who speak out against injustice, it is important for our leaders to listen, empathize, and work towards finding compassionate solutions for all those impacted by these policies.

Who is Conradfrmdaaves? Rapper responds to Dave Blunts seemingly accusing him of filming him when he was asleep in the hospital
Rapper Dave Blunts took to Instagram on January 2, 2025, to indirectly address Conradfrmdaaves posting a video of Blunts from the hospital on the same day. Conradfrmdaaves’ Instagram story showcased Blunts resting on the hospital bed with the message “Get well”, tagging the rapper.
Christopher Markham Jr. aka Conradfrmdaaves is a rapper from L.A, raised in the Crenshaw district. He was sent to prison at the age of 17 for a seven-year sentence and he began writing raps during his solitary confinement. According to Vinylmeplease’s record of Conradfrmdaaves’ discography, he gained popularity with the release of his album Vintage & Adventurous in 2019.
In his Instagram post, Dave Blunts indirectly addressed Conradfrmdaaves’ Instagram story featuring him and mentioned:
“Yesterday instead of taking care of his kids or checking to see if he got any jobs that responded to his indeed applications a 40 year old man decided to come into my room while I was asleep and record me in my hospital bed I then wake up to several blogs and pages posting that I’m in the hospital.”
Responding to Dave Blunts’ accusation, Conradfrmdaaves took to Instagram Stories on January 2, 2025, stating:
“Dave, you weird as f*ck, bro, for trying to say I snuck into the motherf**kin’ hospital for you…You don’t even be having nothing in the cup, n**ga. Put down the food, n**ga.”
Conradfrmdaaves also said that Blunts wasn’t that important for him to care about and that he was visiting a friend in the hospital when he came across Blunts. Additionally, Conradfrmdaaves posted a series of Instagram Stories abusing Dave Blunts and making fun of the rapper.
“I promise I am 100% focused on bettering my health in 2025”- Dave Blunts addresses recent health issue
Since his performance at Juice WRLD Day in December 2024, fans have been concerned about Dave Blunts’ health, given he performed at the concert connected to an oxygen tank. It wasn’t until Conradfrmdaaves posted a picture of the rapper in the hospital that Blunts announced he was admitted.
Addressing the same via an Instagram post dated January 2, 2025, Blunts said that he wasn’t planning to share news of his hospital visit as he didn’t want his fans to think he wasn’t taking his health journey seriously.
Sharing the reason behind being admitted, the rapper said that it wasn’t his fault this time and he was at the hospital because one of his fans at the Roxy gave him the flu, which became a serious issue over time.
Addressing his fans, Dave Blunts stated:
“I promise I am 100% focused on bettering my health in 2025 and this setback is making me feel like I can’t do it because every time I try something like this happens.”
The rapper mentioned that he was making progress by walking and standing up at his shows instead of performing while seated. Expressing his disappointment, Blunts said that he was making progress but it felt like it was all for nothing. However, he added:
“I’m not giving up as long as you guys don’t give up on me but this s*it is hard especially when 40 year old deadbeat fathers decide to record me at my lowest moment in the hospital”
In his Instagram post, Dave Blunts also addressed one of his previous lovers who he calls Solar. He mentioned that he wouldn’t give up on his health journey because that would result in Solar winning and being right about him not being enough for her.
Blunts said that if he isn’t enough for Solar, how could he be enough for his alleged current girlfriend Isabella, adding that if he wasn’t enough for Isabella he wouldn’t be enough for his fans.

Millie Bobby Brown has hit back at critics who accused her of “looking old” in her latest Instagram post.
The 20-year-old actor took to Instagram on Monday (December 30) to share a new mirror selfie, as she posed with her white Louis Vuitton bag.
However, some critics quickly went to the comments to make remarks about her appearance, with claims that she “looked 35” and that she “Googled ‘how to look 65 when you are 16.’” Another Instagram user said she looked like “a 40-year-old Jersey housewife.”
Brown hit back at the criticisms on her Instagram Story on Wednesday. “Women grow!! Not sorry about it,” she wrote in the since-expired post, alongside a smiley face emoji.
In her initial selfie, the Stranger Things star posed with her small, white purse while wearing a white and pink floral dress.
“Me and my mini,” she wrote in the caption while tagging the Louis Vuitton Instagram account.
Millie Bobby Brown hits back at critcism about looking old (milliebobbybrown / Instagram) Her post came days after she shared a tribute to Stranger Things, as she recently finished filming the fifth and final season of the show. The Instagram post included a series of throwback pictures from her time on the program, where she played the character Eleven, alongside the caption: “With love, el.”
The post also included a video of the sweet speech she gave to the cast and crew while on set. “Isn’t graduation supposed to bring relief, like you’re glad to leave behind the teachers and classmates? Not me,” she said in the clip, as she had a microphone in her hand.
“I am nowhere near ready to leave you guys. I love each and every one of you and I’ll forever carry the memories and bonds we’ve created together, as a family. I love you. Thank you,” she added.
Last year, Brown celebrated another major milestone in her life: Getting married to Jake Bongiovi. In October, she gave fans an intimate glimpse into her secret Italian wedding, which took place in May 2024, by sharing breathtaking photos from the ceremony.
“Forever and always, your wife,” she wrote in the caption, as she shared glimpses from their celebration at Villa Cetinale in Italy.
For the occasion, the Enola Holmes star donned a custom white lace Galia Lahav gown with a corseted bodice, cascading into a fitted fishtail skirt and lengthy train. She paired it with a long tulle veil with lace trim that billowed behind her and fell to her feet in an ethereal look. Her brown locks were pulled back into a tight updo with two tendrils framing her face.
Meanwhile, Bongiovi wore a white tuxedo jacket and black bow tie, which Brown later stole for the night as she hit the reception dance floor in a short white satin minidress with off-the-shoulder sleeves.
Matthew Modine, Brown’s Stranger Things co-star and on-screen father figure, officiated the ceremony.
Millie Bobby Brown has never been one to shy away from speaking her mind, and she recently took to social media to address some hurtful comments she received about her appearance. The 17-year-old actress shared a series of selfies on Instagram, only to be bombarded with criticism from some followers who accused her of “looking old.”In a powerful response, Brown slammed the comments, writing, “I’m 17, how about you give a second thought before you comment about my age. It’s not about how old or young I look, it’s about being comfortable in my own skin and embracing who I am. Age is just a number, and it doesn’t define my worth or beauty.”
Brown’s post quickly garnered support from fans and fellow celebrities, who praised her for standing up against ageism and promoting self-acceptance. Many applauded her for speaking out against the harmful societal standards that dictate how women should look and behave.
This isn’t the first time Brown has faced criticism about her appearance, but she has always handled it with grace and resilience. Her message serves as a reminder that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and ages, and that everyone deserves to feel confident and proud of who they are.
