Georgian Agriculture Minister highlights “importance” of growth in agricultural products export, cooperation with Armenia
David Songulashvili, the Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Georgia, on Thursday highlighted the growth in agricultural products export as “one of the important” areas, where such “potential exists”, announcing plans for “active cooperation” with Armenia in this regard.
In his comments to Georgian journalists in Yerevan, Songulashvili noted there were “also several issues in environmental protection we can discuss as part of the entire region, work on together”.
The Minister added the Georgian side could “share practices” with Armenian colleagues and establish a “relevant and fruitful” partnership.
Earlier during the day, the Government official attended the 14th session of the Georgia-Armenia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Yerevan, co-chaired by prime ministers Irakli Kobakhidze and Nikol Pashinyan.
