Fans have the opportunity to win some impressive gifts, including a romantic vacation, the choice of a Lamborghini or Mercedes G-Class SUV, a year’s worth of rent and the opportunity to witness Drake live during his “Anita Max Win Tour” in Australia. Also spotted were hefty cash prizes, one of which was $100,000 for a lucky Toronto artist or entrepreneur.

    In a short clip shared on Instagram, the Canadian star reminisced about his visual for “God’s Plan,” which consisted of blessing several unexpecting Miami, Florida, residents with varying donations. “People often ask me what was the best day of my life. And there’s so many memories with family, album releases, shows [and] fans showing a deep appreciation for the craft,” he stated. “But my answer is the same every time. The two days that I shot ‘God’s Plan’ were the best days of my life.”

    Drake continued, “The joy that I experienced on those days, making other people happy, you know, changing their week, or their month or their year was an irreplaceable feeling. And that’s why, this Dec. 26, Stake, along with me and Adin Ross, are doing the biggest streaming giveaway of all time.” Near the end, OVO artist Smiley made a humorous cameo appearance.

    Drizzy’s charity plans are likely a welcome break from his legal battle against Universal Music Group, Spotify and iHeartRadio. As REVOLT previously reported, the For All The Dogs star filed petitions accusing the aforementioned entities of colluding to bolster the sales and streams of Kendrick Lamar’s scathing diss track “Not Like Us.” In addition to allegations of illegal schemes, Drake claimed defamation over lyrics that labeled him and his crew as sex offenders.

    According to their report: “[It’s] unclear why Dua was there, she doesn’t have any official tie to this show as far as we can tell, but she was front and center at the shindig that was being held at Avra in Bev Hills … the back entrance which was slightly cracked open, leading to a room where Dua could be seen getting cozy with a dude … and slow dancing the night away, albeit briefly.     The mystery man was later confirmed to be Callum. .

    According to Harper’s Bazaar, the couple had a great time together after the BRIT Awards in March. They were spotted in the back of a car, beaming with joy and displaying some affection, with Lipa placing her hand on Turner’s thigh.

    As shared by the National Wrestling Alliance, on December 25th, Jeremy Laymon a.k.a. Jax Dane passed away. In November, he suffered a heart attack and there were complications that arose stemming from that.

    NWA posted the following bio about Laymon:

    The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) is heartbroken to announce the passing of Jeremy “Jax Dane” Laymon.

    Born March 10, 1976, Dane left us on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, due to complications from a heart attack suffered in late November. Dane is survived by his wife Evelynda Laymon, stepson Nicolas, and father, who will forever cherish his memory. He was 48 years old.

    Jax is remembered not only for his remarkable achievements inside the ring but his unwavering dedication to the sport and his fellow wrestlers. The most decorated wrestler of the Lightning One Era and former NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion, Jax left an indelible mark on the NWA and the pro wrestling community as a whole.

    Describing Dane as a “friend, mentor, absolute professional in and out of the ring, and loyalist who went out of his way to support and rebuild the NWA of today,” William Patrick Corgan expressed his sorrow,

    “Jax Dane loved professional wrestling deeply and he certainly loved those he fought and rode with. I know I speak for all of the National Wrestling Alliance when saying Jax will be missed. We will do our best to honor him and make his family proud as we carry forth,” the NWA’s President and Owner states.

    “There are those men and women who carry the legacy of a champion because they have risen to such heights,” Corgan continues, “And then there are those that earn the respect of a champion simply because of who they are. To this I can say, simply and personally, that Jax was such a man, and will forever be in our hearts.”

    Marianne Williamson Announces Campaign to Lead the Democratic National Committee


    Any hopes that two-time failed presidential candidate Marianne Williamson had left politics and returned to her roots as a spiritual guru were dashed Thursday. That’s when the vocal supporter of alleged sexual assailant and anti-vaxxer Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. announced via her Substack (of course) that she is launching a campaign to head up the Democratic National Committee and to “reinvent the party” in her image.

    Marianne Williamson sprang into the spotlight in the late 1980s as an advisor to the stars, characterized in a 1991 Vanity Fair feature as “a liberal, Jewish ex-lounge singer from Texas” who brought A Course in Miracles—a book allegedly dictated to its author by Jesus Christ—into the mainstream. Now 72, she’s since moved from the spiritual realm into the political, throwing her hat into the Democratic presidential ring in 2020, and again in 2024.

    Williamson’s non-traditional stances on the 2019 campaign trail feel almost quaint compared to RFK, Jr.’s during the most recent election cycle, but such is the frog-in-pot life of America in 2024. Still, her announcement that, if elected, she’d launch a Department of Peace, or that hurricanes could be controlled by collective meditation, or that “James Cameron deserves a Nobel Peace Price” for Avatar still managed to raise even the most jaded political watchers’ brows, as did allegations of a toxic and abusive environment for campaign staffers in 2020. (Williamson, for her part, has denied those allegations, calling them a “distraction technique.”)

    But though the heavily-memed former candidate appeared to eventually realize that her path to the White House began and ended with her vision board, the spiritualist wants to remain in the game. In her subscription newsletter, “TRANSFORM with Marianne Williamson,” the teacher (who just yesterday used her platform to announce “only love is real”) posted an open letter to DNC members saying that “The MAGA phenomenon now challenges the very way that politics are done in America, and the traditional tool kit of party organizing will not be enough to meet the moment.”

    Williamson, who just last month tweeted “Good choice!” in response to Donald Trump’s announcement that Kennedy would be named the country’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, writes that “President Trump has ushered in an age of political theatre – a collective adrenaline rush that has enabled him to not only move masses of people into his camp but also masses of people away from ours.”

    While Williamson does not mention the top contenders to replace DNC Chair Jaime Harrison, who led the party since 2021 and isn’t expected to seek another term, her criticism of the Dem’s current strategies seems a shot at traditional candidates such as Minnesota Democratic Party Chair Ken Martin, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, former Homeland Security official Nate Snyder, Sen. James Skoufis, and Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler. “Data analysis, fundraising, field organizing, and beefed-up technology – while all are important – will not be enough to prepare the way for Democratic victory in 2024 and beyond,” Williamson writes, proposing “A party that listens more, and makes people feel that their thoughts and feelings are as important as their wallets.”

    The DNC is slated to hold its election for positions, including its chair, on February 1, with four candidate forums planned throughout January. Williamson is the only woman, thus far, to announce her candidacy for the role.

    In a video that accompanied her letter, Williamson said, “Donald Trump is a 21st-century political phenomenon, and we need to become one, too … We need to know what it was that made people feel that their wallets were more important than their pain. We need to understand what it is that has made people emotionally and psychologically disconnect from a sense that the Democratic Party was part of a great legacy in American history.”

    Pat Riley Announces Heat Aren’t Trading Jimmy Butler


    In an unusual move, the Heat president of basketball operations Pat Riley has made a public statement saying Miami isn’t trading Jimmy Butler (Twitter link).

    “We usually don’t comment on rumors, but all this speculation has become a distraction to the team and is not fair to the players and coaches. Therefore, we will make it clear – We are not trading Jimmy Butler,” Riley said.

    Riley’s statement comes on the heels of ESPN’s Shams Charania reporting on Wednesday that Butler preferred a trade out of Miami, though he has not formally requested to be dealt, which was confirmed by multiple local reporters.

    Neither Butler nor the Heat have denied that the star forward is unhappy with his contract situation, however, and Riley did not address that in his statement. That may be a moot point, since there’s no indication Butler has caused any friction behind the scenes, and he still has at least this season left on his contract, with a $52.4MM player option for 2025/26. But Butler did force his way out of Minnesota six years ago.

    Barry Jackson and Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald followed up on Charania’s report by adding additional details, including that Butler would play out the season with Miami if that’s what the team decides, but would be fine with a change of scenery as well. We’ll see if that holds true after Riley’s statement.

    Reporting in the wake of Miami’s elimination from the 2024 playoffs indicated that Butler would be seeking a maximum-salary extension during the offseason. Asked about that possibility during his end-of-season press conference in the spring, Riley expressed reluctance to make that sort of financial investment in a player “unless you have someone who is going to be available every night,” a reference to Butler’s injury issues in recent seasons.

    Butler subsequently decided to put off extension discussions and remain with the Heat to open the season rather than pushing for an offseason trade. However, he has been unhappy about not being extended, according to The Miami Herald, which reported that Butler’s relationship with the Heat has become “somewhat strained.”

    In a letter addressed to DNC members posted to her Transform with Marianne Williamson site, she pledged that as chair she would seek to “reinvent the party.” 

    She also warned that President-elect Trump’s political accomplishments should not be underestimated.

    “President Trump has ushered in an age of political theatre – a collective adrenaline rush that has enabled him to not only move masses of people into his camp but also masses of people away from ours. It does not serve us to underestimate the historic nature of what he has achieved,” Williamson said.

    Author and former presidential candidate Marianne Williamson announced Thursday she’s running to lead the Democratic National Committee.

    “I’m proud to announce I’m running for Chair of the DNC. In order to respond to the challenge of this moment, the Democratic Party needs transformation,” she posted on social media, with a link to a lengthy letter addressed to DNC members outlining her ambitions for the office.

    Williamson ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020 and 2024. In 2020, she dropped out in January before the Iowa caucus after failing to meet the polling qualifications for several debates. In 2024, her best performance was 4% in the New Hampshire primary, behind Joe Biden, who received 63.8% of the vote despite not officially competing in the primary, and outgoing Rep. Dean Phillips, who received nearly 20%. She ended her candidacy and reentered the 2024 race twice before ending her campaign for a third and final time in July.

    She joins a growing field to replace outgoing chair Jaime Harrison that includes former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, who ran for president in 2016; Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party Chair Ken Martin; Wisconsin Democratic Party chair Ben Wikler; and New York state Sen. James Skoufis.
