Mark Consuelos announces move away from Live! as Kelly Ripa reacts
Mark Consuelos has a huge career move up his sleeve!
The actor and TV host revealed his news on Tuesday when he announced he had signed a new deal.
Taking to Instagram, he shared Deadline‘s article explaining his fresh acting gig.
Mark will star in Scream 7 and he’s incredibly excited by the opportunity.
“Honored to be part of this iconic franchise. #Scream7,” he wrote.
His quick witted wife, Kelly Ripa, was one of the first to respond and quipped: “Are you the killer?”
The couple’s oldest son, Michael — who is also an actor — remarked: “Literally the coolest thing,” and added some clapping hand emojis.
Mark agreed and commented back: “Right??”
Mark will star alongside the already announced legacy cast which includes Courteney Cox, Neve Campbell, Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown. Other newcomers include Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor and Joel McHale.
The role is far cry from his hosting duties on Live! but it’s by far the first acting gig he’s had.
Mark had a recurring role on political drama The Girls on the Bus, he’s appeared in Only Murders in the Building, and had other TV credits in the likes of How I Met Your Father, Riverdale and The Night Shift.
He and Kelly met while acting on All My Children in 1995.
Sarah Michelle Gellar recently reminisced with the couple on their show about the day they first met on set.
At the time, Sarah had a regular role on the soap and said: “I will never, ever forget the story — this is a true story, you can tell me if I tell it wrong — but I was, I guess I was in the hair and makeup.
“And Kelly comes in. This is the ’90s, so she has those huge Velcro rollers she used to wear in her hair,” she laughed.
“And she comes running in, she’s like, ‘Oh my God!’ I’m like, ‘What happened?’ she’s like, ‘There’s the most beautiful man in the rehearsal hall. I have never… I’m in love!’ And that is you!” she finished, pointing at Mark.
Mark played Kelly’s love interest on the show after the pair met in a 1995 audition and sparks flew instantly.
“She literally saw you, and this girl is never at a loss for words,” the 47-year-old told Mark. “She was at a complete loss for words.”
“Thank God I recovered,” Kelly chuckled.
The couple now have three grown children, Joaquin, Lola and Michael who have all left home to forge forward with studies and their careers.
Mark Consuelos, who has been a co-host on Live! alongside Kelly Ripa for the past two years, recently announced his decision to move away from the show. In a heartfelt statement, Consuelos expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with Ripa and the Live! team, but shared that he felt it was time for him to pursue other opportunities.Ripa, who has been Consuelos’ co-host and close friend, took to social media to share her reaction to his departure. In a post titled “Mark Consuelos announces move away from Live! as Kelly Ripa reacts,” Ripa expressed her support for Consuelos and wished him all the best in his future endeavors.
Fans of the show were quick to show their love and appreciation for the dynamic duo, with many expressing sadness over Consuelos’ departure but also excitement for what the future holds for both him and Ripa. As they say goodbye to one chapter, fans are eager to see what the next chapter will bring for both Consuelos and Ripa.

Lady Vols legend Candace Parker announces book set to release this summer
Candace Parker hasn’t slowed down at all since retiring in April 2024, and now the Lady Vols basketball legend is releasing a book this summer.
Parker announced her new book Monday titled “The Can-Do Mindset,” which was inspired by her childhood nickname. The book will officially go on sale on June 3, but it’s available for preorder now.
“Can-Do became my nickname from an early age, and it’s become a mindset that’s served me through so many life phases, anchoring me through choppy waters,” Parker wrote on Instagram. “In this book, I share stories from my own life on and off the court that made me who I am. I hope these stories will inspire you to break the boundaries around you and create your own success. With the Can-Do mindset, you will succeed in the game of life.”
Parker is the president of Adidas women’s basketball. She also owns a production company named Baby Hair Productions, which has already released two documentaries – one on Title IX named “Title IX: 37 Words That Changed America,” and one on Parker’s journey through basketball called “Candace Parker: Unapologetic.”
She also welcomed her third child last summer, a baby boy named Hartt Summitt Petrakov Parker — his middle name a nod to legendary Lady Vols coach Pat Summitt.

It was Parker’s second child with her wife, Anna Petrakova Parker, but her third child in total. Parker’s firstborn, her daughter Lailaa, was born in 2009 as Parker began her WNBA career and is now in high school. Parker’s first son with Anna was born in February 2022 and is named Airr Larry Petrakov Parker.
Parker retired as one of the greatest basketball players ever. She played 16 seasons in the WNBA and is a three-time WNBA champion and a two-time WNBA MVP.

She was also the 2016 WNBA Finals MVP, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and the 2020 Defensive Player of the year. Parker is the only player in league history to have won MVP and Rookie of the Year in the same season in 2008, and she’s the only player to win three titles with three different teams.

Parker was the Final Four Most Outstanding Player both years and won the Wade Trophy in 2007. Her Lady Vols No. 3 jersey is retired, and she’s arguably the best player to ever suit up for Tennessee.

The Toronto Raptors will see a slight change to their schedule, as their March 19 road game against the Golden State Warriors has been moved to March 20 at 7:00 p.m. local time (10:00 p.m. ET), the NBA announced Tuesday.
The adjustment is part of a broader set of reschedulings to accommodate games that were postponed earlier this season due to wildfires in Los Angeles and weather-related disruptions in New Orleans.
For the Raptors, the change is relatively minor. The team will now have two days off between their March 17 matchup against the Phoenix Suns and the rescheduled game against the Warriors. Following that, Toronto will have another two days before returning home for a back-to-back set against the San Antonio Spurs and Washington Wizards on March 23 and 24.
The league announced nine total schedule changes, including a makeup date for the Los Angeles Lakers, who will now host the San Antonio Spurs on March 17 after their January 11 game was postponed due to wildfires in California. The Milwaukee Bucks’ January 22 road game against the New Orleans Pelicans, which was postponed due to severe weather conditions, has been rescheduled for April 6.
Orlando saw the most movement with three of its games adjusted. Their home game against Chicago, originally scheduled for March 12, has been moved to March 6. Their road game against San Antonio, initially set for March 17, has been pushed to April 1. Their road game in New Orleans, previously scheduled for April 6, will now be played on March 13.
Golden State also had to accommodate changes, as their home game against Milwaukee was moved up from March 20 to March 18, allowing the Raptors’ game, originally set for March 19, to shift to March 20 instead. New Orleans’ road game against the Bucks was also delayed by one day, moving from April 9 to April 10.
The NBA has announced a slight schedule change for the Toronto Raptors, with one of their upcoming games being rescheduled. The Raptors were originally scheduled to play the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, February 23rd at 7:30 PM ET. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the game has been moved to Thursday, February 24th at 7:30 PM ET.
This change will give the Raptors an extra day of rest and preparation before taking on the Pistons. Fans who have already purchased tickets for the original date can rest assured that their tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled game.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the understanding of Raptors fans. Let’s continue to support our team as they strive for success in the remainder of the season. #WeTheNorth.

Donald Trump’s 27-year-old press secretary announced the US was halting shipments of condoms to Gaza during her first new-look White House briefing.
Karoline Leavitt told reporters that the briefings will no longer be reserved for members of the legacy media, but will be opened up to TikTokers, social media influencers and podcasters.
Ms Leavitt briefed reporters that the newly-established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and the White House Office for Management and Budget (OMB) found “that there was about to be $50 million taxpayer dollars that went out the door to fund condoms in Gaza”.
“That is a preposterous waste of taxpayer money. So that’s what this pause is focused on, being good stewards of tax dollars,” she said.
The Trump administration has also blocked a pending payment of $37 million to the World Health Organisation. On his first day in office, the president signed an executive order cutting ties with the body.
Not yet 30, Ms Leavitt is the youngest person in history to hold the role of press secretary – two years younger than Richard Nixon’s press secretary Ron Ziegler was when he was appointed in 1969.
Ms Leavitt promised to open up seats beside her podium to “new media voices”, with Breitbart, a far-right news outlet, given a space at the inaugural briefing of Mr Trump’s second term.
Ms Leavitt is the youngest White House press secretary in history – GETTY IMAGES
She added that “independent journalists, podcasters and social media influencers” would be welcomed at future briefings, and suggested journalists who lost their White House press passes during Joe Biden’s presidency could have their access returned.
One newly invited member of the press thanked Ms Leavitt for “giving voices to media outlets that represent millions and millions of Americans”.
In a swipe at traditional media outlets, Ms Leavitt promised to “call you out” for reporting misinformation.
The comments will raise fears that access to White House briefings could be withdrawn for journalists whose coverage reflects badly on the president.
On Tuesday, the White House issued a memo temporarily suspending federal grants, loans and other financial assistance programs for domestic executive departments.
Federal agencies “must temporarily pause all activities related to obligation or disbursement of all Federal financial assistance,” OMB acting director Matthew Vaeth said in the document.
It fuelled concerns of a sweeping ban on all federal assistance, including social security and medicare.
Ms Leavitt told reporters it was “not a blanket pause” but designed to ensure federal spending aligned with the “priorities of the American people”.
For the first time, TikTokers and influencers will be invited to the briefings – JIM LO SCALZO
Despite her insistence that Medicaid payments would not be affected, state programmes across the country reported they had been blocked from accessing the online portals that provide them with federal funding.
Late on Tuesday, a US judge temporarily blocked Mr Trump’s plans to pause federal loans, grants and other financial assistance, handing a win to advocacy groups who said the policy would have a “devastating impact”.
US District Judge Loren AliKhan stayed the slashing of funding to existing programmes until at least February 3, in a bid to “maintain the status quo” following an 11th-hour legal challenge from opponents.
It marks the second time a federal judge has intervened to block Mr Trump’s policy agenda since he returned to office, after a judge ruled last week that his plans to end birthright citizenship are “blatantly unconstitutional”.
The new press secretary took aim at the previous administration’s spending on climate protections, which she called the “green new scam”, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
In practice, Ms Leavitt said the pause would mean “no more funding for transgenderism and wokeness”.
“President Trump is looking out for you by issuing this pause because he is being a good steward of your taxpayer dollars,” she said.
Elsewhere, Ms Leavitt said the New Jersey drone sightings which triggered widespread conspiracies in December last year were “authorised” and “not the enemy”.
“After research and study, the drones that were flying over New Jersey in large numbers were authorised to be flown by the FAA for research and various other reasons,” Ms Leavitt said.
She added that many of the drones were “hobbyists” and that the situation “got worse due to curiosity”.
The drone sightings caused widespread speculation about foreign interference.
In a surprising turn of events, Trump’s 27-year-old press secretary has announced a controversial new policy regarding contraceptives in Gaza. In a recent briefing, the press secretary declared that there will be “no more condoms for Gaza,” sparking outrage and confusion among the public. The decision to withhold condoms from Gaza has been met with criticism from human rights organizations and health advocates, who argue that access to contraceptives is essential for preventing unintended pregnancies and the spread of sexually transmitted infections. Many have also raised concerns about the implications of this policy on women’s reproductive rights and overall public health in the region.
The announcement comes as part of a larger effort by the Trump administration to reevaluate and potentially cut funding for various aid programs in the Middle East. The decision to target contraceptives in Gaza has raised questions about the motivations behind the move and the potential consequences for the people living in the region.
As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how this new policy will impact the health and well-being of the people in Gaza. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

Charley Crockett signs with Island Records, announces new album
Notoriously independent-minded and Texas-born singer-songwriter Charley Crockett has decided on a radical shift for 2025.
On Jan. 24, he announced his signing to Universal Music Group’s Island Records for the release of his March-expected 15th studio album, “The Lonesome Drifter.”
In a message to his mailing list, Crockett offered the following statement:
“I’m writing to say thank you for keeping up with me over the years. It’s a short story that keeps getting longer. I’m releasing my debut album with Island Records in March. I wanted you to be the first to know. It’s album #15 if we’re keeping score. I fell into this troubadour life, looking for a way to live on my own terms. I didn’t like the idea of being fenced in, sold off, or played out. That’s why I started riding trains in the first place. Some say time is money. I say time is a train, and I’m running alongside of it on the only highway. It’s my great pleasure to introduce to you “The Lonesome Drifter.”
Crockett’s 2024 success
The Americana Honors & Awards-winning artist made his announcement after closing 2024 with the release of “Hey Mr. Nashville,” an anthemic song that entrenches him more profoundly in his artistic and personal truth.
Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.
This followed a year that yielded him his first Grammy nomination (for “Best Americana Album”) after 14 independently released albums for 2024’s “$10 Cowboy,” one of two full-length albums he released in 2024. That release was a continuation of his notion that, given he’s released an album every six months for the past decade, 18 to 24-month release cycles are obsolete.
It’s uncertain if his signing to Island will show the performer’s willingness to align with label traditions.
Crockett’s history with mainstream American record labels
In a Sept. 2022 Tennessean feature, Crockett recalled the following about a meeting with a New York-based Sony Records executive a decade ago.
“You’re believable, but stop trying to be Woody Guthrie,” he says an executive told him before he lost his deal.
It spawned a deeper conversation in which the performer noted he believed that the music industry’s musical IQ had reached its lowest point, creating a “metaphorical bridge too far and high” for many label executives to cross to engage with him or his art.
In 2025, that bridge is one he’s again decided to be willing to cross.

“Crystal is an accomplished player who has achieved so much in her career,” said Yael Averbuch West, general manager of Gotham FC, in a statement. “We wish her all the best in the next chapter of her career, and we thank her for her contributions to our club.”
Dunn, who was born on Long Island, joined the New York, New Jersey NWSL team in December 2023 as a free agent before going on to make 23 appearances across all competitions. She recorded one goal and two assists during her time at Gotham.
Her contract ran through the end of the 2026 season, and it’s unclear why her time with the 2023 NWSL champions was cut short.
After the announcement, Dunn posted on social media: “I can’t even find the words to express how incredibly sad I am. Though my journey continues elsewhere, I am at least grateful to have played at home in front of my friends and family for even a short while. I’ll carry those memories with me always. Thank @cloud9goth and all of the fans for showing up with your energy and unwavering support.
“To my teammates, thank you for your kindness and your encouragement. The city of New York will forever be my home, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. As I turn the page and prepare for a new chapter, I am filled with excitement for what lies ahead.”
Dunn previously played for the Washington Spirit (2014-2017), Chelsea (2017-2018), North Carolina Courage (2018-2020) and the Portland Thorns (2020-2023).
Internationally, Dunn has been an integral part of the USWNT’s success. Since making her senior team debut on Feb. 13, 2013 against Scotland in a friendly, she has netted 25 goals in 155 appearances for the United States.
Dunn formed part of the triumphant 2019 Women’s World Cup squad, won the bronze medal with the team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and most recently helped the Americans secure the gold medal during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Gotham FC has announced the departure of US Women’s National Team star Crystal Dunn. Dunn, a versatile player who has excelled in both defense and midfield, has been a key player for Gotham FC since joining the team in 2020.Dunn’s departure is a significant loss for Gotham FC, as she has been a standout performer for the team and a fan favorite. Dunn’s exceptional skill and work rate have made her a valuable asset on the field, and her leadership and presence will be missed both on and off the pitch.
Gotham FC has not yet announced where Dunn will be heading next, but fans will surely be eager to see where her career takes her next. Dunn’s departure marks the end of an era for Gotham FC, but the team will no doubt continue to strive for success in the upcoming season.
We wish Crystal Dunn all the best in her future endeavors and thank her for her contributions to Gotham FC.

Jake Paul announces boxing match vs. brother Logan Paul
Jake Paul announced Tuesday he will face his brother Logan Paul in a boxing match on Thursday, March 27 on Max.
Jake Paul shared the promotional poster on X, which shows he and his brother engaging in a stare down.
“The moment you’ve waited a decade for… March 27th,” he tweeted.
Jake Paul, 28, is all-in on his boxing career, holding a professional record of 11-1. His lone defeat came against Tommy Fury in February 2023. Jake Paul has since put together a five-fight win streak, none bigger than his unanimous decision victory over Mike Tyson this past November in front of more than 72,000 fans inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Like his younger brother, Logan Paul has also ventured into the boxing world. The 29-year-old is 1-1, with a loss to KSI and a win over Dillon Danis. Those fights were nearly four years apart, the last taking place in October 2023.
Logan Paul has been much more involved with WWE. He made his in-ring debut alongside The Miz in a tag match against Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 38. Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio to win the United States Championship at Crown Jewel in November 2023. He has since been on and off television, notably making his return to “WWE Raw” on Monday.
Jake Paul lines up next opponent in brother Logan Paul
Logan Paul initially looked set to face UFC star Conor McGregor in a boxing match in India later this year. But according to McGregor, the UFC would not grant him permission.
“It is what it is,” McGregor told The Schmo, via Brett Okamoto of ESPN. “The UFC just aren’t into it. The offer was there on the table, in writing. Both athletes will say, ‘He’s not fighting,’ but both [the UFC and WWE] are under the [TKO Group Holdings] banner. UFC and WWE, both rising up. The stock price of TKO Holdings is through the roof. New market in India has opened up and is booming. It was business savvy and business sense to make the fight happen.
“In between this waiting period that we find ourselves in before I can get back to the Octagon, it made perfect sense on the calendar to go ahead with it. The UFC weren’t into it. The WWE, I’m not sure what their interest in it was.”
Instead, it will be Paul vs. Paul — a match a decade in the making.
Jake Paul, the controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer, has just announced his next big fight – against none other than his own brother, Logan Paul. The internet sensation took to social media to reveal the surprising news, sending shockwaves through the online community. The Paul brothers have been no strangers to the boxing world, with both Jake and Logan making waves in the sport and attracting a massive following of fans. Now, the two siblings are set to face off in what is sure to be a highly anticipated match-up.
While the details of the fight have yet to be revealed, fans are already buzzing with excitement at the prospect of seeing the brothers go head-to-head in the ring. With their competitive nature and drive to succeed, it’s bound to be a showdown for the ages.
