  • Justin Baldoni sends Blake Lively apology voicemail after working on ‘It Ends With Us’ scene

Justin Baldoni admitted he “fell short” of Blake Lively’s expectations in an alleged “rambling” voice note, which appears to have been sent after the actors worked on the rooftoop scene for their movie “It Ends With Us.”

Baldoni, 41, apologized to his co-star in a six-minute message seemingly sent after the pair met to discuss a now-infamous rooftop scene from the movie in which he claimed in legal documents that he felt pressured by Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her friend, Taylor Swift, to use Lively’s rewritten scene for the film.

Lively filed a sexual harassment suit in December against Baldoni, his Wayfarer studio and former PR reps. The same day Lively filed her suit, Baldoni filed a $250 million suit against the New York Times for a December article about the alleged smear campaign.

Weeks later, Baldoni then named Lively and Reynolds in a separate $400 million defamation lawsuit in which he accused the Hollywood power couple of attempting to hijack “It Ends With Us” and create their own narrative.

“There’s so much I want to say to you and I hope that we can FaceTime or see each other in person soon and get to talk more, but I’m just going to send you a few thoughts, and hopefully it’s not going to be more than a few minutes, but I don’t have the best track record – I don’t think either one of us have the best records for voice memos – I want to start with an apology,” Baldoni said in a purported voice note obtained by TMZ. “Man … reading the second part of your message, my heart sank, and I’m really sorry. I for sure fell short, and you worked really hard on that, and the way you framed it and how that made you feel, and I just wanted to say thank you for sharing that with me. That takes a lot of trust and vulnerability.”

“I just, I feel really grateful that you feel safe enough to tell me that’s how you feel and share that with me, and I’m really sorry. I f—-d up. That is a fail on my part. One thing you should know about me is I will admit and apologize when I fail. I am far from perfect. I am a very flawed man, as my wife will attest. I’m gonna f–k up. I’m going to say the wrong thing. I’m going to put my foot in my mouth. I’m going to piss you off probably, but I will always apologize and find my way back to center. That is one thing I can assure you of.”

JUSTIN BALDONI CALLS BLAKE LIVELY’S CLAIMS ‘FALSE AND DESTRUCTIVE,’ LAWYER SAYS NEW LAWSUIT WILL EXPOSE TRUTH

In an attempt to show how Lively allegedly took control of the movie’s production, Baldoni’s legal team claimed in documents that the actress used her friendship with Taylor Swift to threaten him. While working on the film, Lively insisted on rewriting the rooftop scene. Baldoni had been hesitant about the idea but told the 37-year-old actress he would “take a look at what she put together,” according to the complaint.

Afterward, Lively invited Baldoni over to her New York City home, where the actor said he felt Swift and Reynolds pressured him into using the rewritten scene. “Later, Baldoni felt obliged to text Lively to say that he had liked her pages and hadn’t needed Reynolds and her megacelebrity friend to pressure him,” the complaint said.

“And I’m sorry I made you feel that way. That must have felt terrible. I will for sure do better,” he said in the voice note. “That was not my best weekend and I should have given it more time. And, damn right, you’ve got great friends if that’s how you felt, and they knew that and, f–k, we should all have friends like that, aside from the fact that they’re two of the most creative people on the planet. The three of you guys together is unbelievable – talk about energy and just a force, all three of you.”

“But I just wanted you to know that I didn’t need that because it’s really good, and it’s going to make the movie sing like you said,” Baldoni said. “I’m excited to go through the whole movie with you. I’m just excited to spend time with you. I’m excited to be in your sphere and your presence and for us to share creative juices together, although that sounds terrible. I think you and I have been trying to build a relationship, which I think we’ve done successfully. I mean, here we are talking like this, me into my phone at 2 in the morning, but largely via text and voice note, and that, I will be honest, is not my biggest strength.”

“I love being with people and being in somebody’s space and being face to face,” he said. “And I feel like that’s where I excel and definitely fallen short at times in our text and voice-note exchanges, because there’s so much to communicate and there’s so much happening, and all that to say I’m just really looking forward to spending time together, and I think that’s really going to go a long way for our chemistry, which I believe is there, has been there from the start. That’s why I was so damn excited when you wanted to do this film. I felt it in the room when we met and, yeah, I think it does come from the both of us being so f—ing hard-working and having a vision and not settling, and I’m excited to have a creative partner in that with you, it’s just really exciting.”

Baldoni continued, “There’s so much more to say, there’s so much more I want to say. Oh, there’s one thing that I do need to say, which is, I am so sorry you have been through what you’ve been through with these other filmmakers and producers or whoever the people were that you worked with. It just pissed me off. Those f—heads. I’m just still kind of blown away that this is the industry that we’re in and that you’ve experienced that as a woman, and I know I don’t need to say it, but that’s not at all going to be or will be. Hopefully it’s not been the experience with me. There’s nothing more exciting to me that I get to work with Blake Lively, and I get to have her, all of her. I mean, that’s what I want.

“And so, there’s been no hesitancy with me sending you the final draft file. I am totally fine with that. The only reason I didn’t send it today was because I was trying to implant and add your notes into my working draft, which is, already, I’m all over that draft right now. So, there’s a whole bunch of new stars that are going to be collated pages, and I just haven’t had a chance to send it to you. But there’s no hesitancy, I’m happy to send it to you, and I’m sorry that has happened to you before. And I hope after this experience there will be a new, I don’t know, I hope it will be healing in some way. That’s all I want.”

“I want this movie to be healing,” Baldoni said. “I want this movie to be commercial just like you and affect people and touch people, and I want to walk you through my whole plan and the work that we’re doing with the domestic violence partner that we found, No More, and just my vision. And I just know that this can be really, really special, and it’s going to be special, and you’re the secret sauce. We’re the secret sauce.

“And, anyways, I have so much more to say, I’m going to stop rambling because, Jesus Christ, it’s been six minutes and 30 seconds, f— me, I’m sorry. You probably have kids all over you and a baby on your boob, and you’re listening to me ramble at 2 in the morning. I hope you’re feeling better and give Ryan my love. Thank you for sending me that. It means the world to me that you trust me with your feelings and your thoughts like that, and I can’t wait to spend more time with you. OK, I’m done, cutting myself off, goodnight.”

Representatives for Baldoni and Lively did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Judge Lewis J. Liman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ordered a trial set for March 9, 2026. An originally scheduled pretrial conference for Feb. 12 was rescheduled for Feb. 3.

Justin Baldoni, the director of the upcoming film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel ‘It Ends With Us’, recently sent co-star Blake Lively a heartfelt apology voicemail after an emotional scene they shot together.

In the voicemail, Baldoni expressed his gratitude for Lively’s incredible talent and professionalism on set, but also acknowledged the toll that the intense scene had taken on both of them. He apologized for any discomfort or emotional strain that may have been caused during filming, and reassured Lively that he truly values her as a colleague and friend.

The scene in question is a pivotal moment in the story, where Lively’s character confronts her past trauma and makes a brave decision to stand up for herself. Both actors poured their hearts into the scene, resulting in a powerful and raw performance that left them both emotionally drained.

Baldoni’s gesture of sending Lively a personal apology voicemail highlights the deep respect and camaraderie that exists among the cast and crew of ‘It Ends With Us’. It’s clear that their dedication to telling this important story is matched only by their care and concern for each other’s well-being.

Fans of the book and the actors will undoubtedly be eager to see how this emotional scene translates to the big screen, and the genuine connection between Baldoni and Lively is sure to make it a standout moment in the film.

  • Upset Fans React to Jewel’s Apology After Performing at Inauguration Event

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

Jewel has apologized for hurting fans who were deeply upset by her performance at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s inaugural ball. But her followers are still enraged — and they firmly let her know.

Per Variety, the “Foolish Games” artist, 50, sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” at RFK Jr.’s Make America Health Again Inaugural Ball on Monday, January 20 — the day of President Donald Trump’s second inauguration. (Kennedy — who has caused controversy by sharing his anti-vaccine beliefs and more — was picked by Trump to oversee the Department of Health and Human Services.)

Following her performance, Jewel received backlash from many longtime fans who felt that her appearance at the inauguration event was her way of supporting the current administration. On Friday, January 24, the singer-songwriter attempted to explain her reason for being there — but fans continued to call her out.

The “You Were Meant for Me” singer, a longtime mental health advocate, shared in the selfie video that she was attempting to spread awareness about mental health issues, including the suicide rate in children.

“If there is one thing I’ve learned in the past 20 years, it’s that mental health affects everyone. Across party lines,” Jewel explained. “There are things we can do to save lives … and if I believe I can help, I have to try.”

For the four-time Grammy nominee, that means acting now — not “wait[ing] to try until I agree 100 percent with the people that might be willing to help me. I don’t think that’s how activism works, waiting until everything’s perfect enough to participate,” she continued. “It’s actually because things are so imperfect that we have to find ways to engage and to participate, and we have to act now. We cannot wait another four years. I believe there are people in the new administration that are willing to help on this issue.”

Though she does “not agree on all the politics,” she explained, she believes she “can help change the policy [around mental health] … I am going to try and I’m going to fight.”

Jewel then directly addressed her fans who were affected by her performance at RFK Jr.’s inaugural ball.

“I am so sorry that I caused pain, especially in my LGBTQIA+ community because you guys are treasures. You make the world a better place. You’ve made my life a better place. I will not stop fighting,” she said. “It pains me and I am so sorry. And it pains me that some of my longtime fans feel that I have let them down.”

The majority of people in the comments section of Jewel’s Instagram post were left feeling angry at her apology — and they didn’t hold back.

“your actions and words feel completely at odds with the values you’ve always claimed to stand for. It’s heartbreaking to see you alienate so many of your fans, especially those who once saw you as a voice for compassion and understanding,” one person wrote.

“No: You sold out. You bowed down to fascism, and your justifications ring untrue because this administration is actively hurting those you say you are supporting,” another user opined.

“a mental health advocate supporting an administration that is destroying the mental health of the LGBTQIA+ and black and brown communities?” a third fan claimed. “Give me a f***ing break.”

Still, there were a few others defending Jewel’s performance.

“You do not owe anyone anything. Please stop apologizing to adult children,” one person shared.

“You took a beautiful moment that you were grateful for and was such a huge honor and then you crapped on that amazing moment with this ridiculous apology to your whiney fans because something you believe in and had the great honor and privilege of doing upset a few people because they don’t hold the same beliefs,” wrote another follower.

Jewel’s recent performance at the inauguration event has left many fans feeling upset and disappointed. The singer faced backlash for agreeing to participate in the event, given the controversial nature of the inauguration.

In response to the backlash, Jewel issued a public apology on social media, expressing regret for her decision to perform. She explained that she had made a mistake in judgment and that she understands why fans are upset.

However, many fans are not satisfied with Jewel’s apology, feeling that it is too little, too late. Some have even called for a boycott of her music and concerts.

It remains to be seen how this controversy will impact Jewel’s career moving forward. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • Prince Harry settles lawsuit with Rupert Murdoch’s newspapers after ‘full’ apology

LONDON — Prince Harry and his legal team thrashed out a last-minute deal with Rupert Murdoch’s British newspaper group Wednesday to settle claims of widespread wrongdoing at the publisher. The prince received a “full apology” but fell short of his mission to hold British tabloids accountable in open court.

The Duke of Sussex’s decision to settle his claims against News Group Newspapers (NGN) ends his efforts expose the misdeeds of the publisher of The Sun and long-shuttered News of the World in open trial.

Along with former lawmaker Tom Watson, Harry, 40, the younger son of King Charles III, had sued NGN over alleged unlawful activities carried out by journalists and private investigators working for the newspapers.

The group, which had long denied the allegations, offered what it called a “full and unequivocal apology” to Harry “for the serious intrusion by The Sun between 1996 and 2011 into his private life.”

In the British civil court system, a settlement often involves the accused covering the claimant’s legal fees, as well as handing over an additional cash payment.

NGN said it was sorry for intruding into the private life of Harry’s late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales and apologized to Harry “for the phone hacking, surveillance and misuse of private information by journalists and private investigators instructed by them at the News of the World.”

Outside the London court where the trial had been due to take place, David Sherborne — the lawyer representing Harry and Watson — read out a statement on their behalf.

“After endless resistance, denials and legal battles by News Group Newspapers, including spending more than a billion pounds in payouts and in legal costs (as well as paying-off those in the know) to prevent the full picture from coming out, News UK [NGN’s parent company] is finally held to account for its illegal actions and its blatant disregard for the law,” Sherborne said.

Sherborne’s statement added that “Prince Harry and his immediate family have also had to repeatedly withstand aggressive and vengeful coverage since starting his claim over five years ago,” which he said had left them concerned for their safety.

“Today the lies are laid bare. Today, the cover-ups are exposed. And today proves that no one stands above the law,” he said.

Lawyers for a UK tabloid publisher said on January 21, 2025 they were "very close" to settling a hotly-disputed lawsuit brought by Britain's Prince Harry for alleged unlawful information gathering by two of its newspapers.

Harry first brought the lawsuit against NGN in 2019 and the eight-week trial was supposed to start Tuesday. He had been expected to testify for several days next month.

But in a surprising twist — one that angered Judge Timothy Fancourt — both sides on Tuesday asked for more time to thrash out a deal. When Fancourt refused to allow a further delay until Wednesday, attorneys on both sides said they would go to the Court of Appeal to challenge his ruling, stalling the start of the trial.

Ahead of the trial, Sherborne alleged the newspapers had used deception to obtain his clients’ medical, phone and flight records, as well as bugging homes and placing listening devices into cars. He also alleged that executives destroyed documents and used other methods to conceal the chicanery.

NGN also issued what it called a “full and unequivocal apology” to Watson “for the unwarranted intrusion carried out into his private life during his time in Government by the News of the World during the period 2009-2011.”

When serving as a member of Parliament, Watson played a significant role in the initial inquiry into alleged phone-hacking by members of the British newspaper media. He also wrote a book charting the relationship between Murdoch-owned titles and politicians.

NGN’s apology said Watson had been “placed under surveillance in 2009 by journalists at the News of the World and those instructed by them.” The former deputy leader of the Labour Party, it added, had also been awarded “substantial damages.”

Harry, meanwhile, began positioning himself at odds with the royal family’s famous “never complain, never explain” attitude on the matter two years ago. He became the first senior member of the royal family to testify in court since Queen Victoria’s eldest son, Prince Albert Edward, did so in the late 19th century.

Prince Harry's Case For Unlawful Newsgathering Against The Sun Goes To Trial

Harry revealed in court papers that his father opposed his litigation, but although other claimants including celebrities, sports stars and politicians settled cases with NGN, he had always said his mission was not to receive money but to get to the truth.

NGN has already paid out hundreds of millions of pounds to victims of phone-hacking and other unlawful information gathering by the News of the World but it has always denied there was wrongdoing at The Sun. It has also rejected allegations that senior figures knew about the activity or tried to cover it up.

In a separate statement released as well as the apology, a spokesperson for NGN said the apology was “for incidents of unlawful activities carried out by private investigators working for The Sun, not by journalists, during the period 1996-2011.”

“There are strong controls and processes in place at all our titles today to ensure this cannot happen now.” the spokesperson added.

The spokesperson also denied that Watson’s phone was hacked. “Had this gone to trial, NGN would have called evidence from telecoms experts to demonstrate that hacking after 2007 was nigh on impossible due to security upgrades undertaken by telecoms companies,” the spokesperson said.

Even if he had gone to trial and won, Harry could still have been on the hook for a multimillion-pound legal bill. Under English civil law, a claimant who wins a court judgment that is lower than what they were offered to settle, has to pay the legal bills for both sides. The law is designed to discourage lengthy trials.

Actor Hugh Grant had been a claimant with Harry, but said in April that he was forced to accept “an enormous amount of money” to settle his case as he could have otherwise faced a large legal bill.

In a recent turn of events, Prince Harry has settled his lawsuit with Rupert Murdoch’s newspapers after receiving a ‘full’ apology. The Duke of Sussex took legal action against The Sun and The Daily Mirror for alleged phone hacking, invasion of privacy, and defamation.

The settlement comes after years of legal battles between the royal and the tabloid newspapers, with Prince Harry determined to hold them accountable for their unethical practices. The ‘full’ apology issued by the newspapers is seen as a significant victory for the Duke, who has been a vocal advocate for media ethics and privacy rights.

In a statement released by Prince Harry’s legal team, it was confirmed that the lawsuit had been settled with a substantial financial settlement and a public apology from the newspapers. The Duke expressed his relief at the resolution of the case and his hope that it will serve as a warning to other media outlets engaging in similar practices.

This settlement marks a significant moment in the ongoing battle between the royal family and the tabloid press, with Prince Harry leading the charge for greater accountability and integrity in journalism. It also highlights the power of individuals to stand up against media intrusion and fight for their rights to privacy and respect.

Overall, this settlement is a positive step towards a more ethical and responsible media landscape, and a reminder that no one is above the law, not even powerful media moguls like Rupert Murdoch.

  • People Are Emotional After Prince Harry Secured His Mom, Princess Diana, A Long-Overdue Public Apology From The Press

    Generate Key Takeaways

When Princess Diana tragically died in August 1997, her grieving siblings issued a poignant vow at her funeral.

Princess Diana wearing a wide-brimmed hat, pearl necklace, and classic dress

Diana’s two children, Prince William and Prince Harry, were just 15 and 12 years old, respectively, when Diana died, and her brother, Charles Spencer, pledged to try and raise them in the way that she’d intended.

In his oration as Diana was laid to rest, Charles said: “I pledge that we, your blood family, will do all we can to continue the imaginative way in which you were steering these two exceptional young men so that their souls are not simply immersed by duty and tradition but can sing openly as you planned.”

And just last year, people were left emotional as they realized that Diana’s family had upheld this promise.

    Bettmann / Bettmann Archive

In May, Harry made a rare return to his home country of the United Kingdom for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games Foundation, which he founded in 2014. For reference, the Invictus Games are a Paralympic-style event for wounded service people and veterans.

Prince Harry in formal attire waving, wearing a suit with various medals and a tie

Harry’s strained relationship with William and their father, King Charles III, has been well-documented in recent years, and neither relative showed up to support Harry at the event at St. Paul’s Cathedral.

But while Harry’s brother and dad were not by his side, he was not short of family members offering their support as Diana’s relatives showed up in abundance at the celebration.

In addition to Charles, Harry was shown reuniting with Diana’s sister Jane Fellowes, and several of his cousins. Charles’s children Louis and Lara Spencer were among the 10th-anniversary attendees, as well as George McCorquodale, the son of Diana’s other sister, Sarah McCorquodale, who isn’t thought to have attended.

“Brought tears to my eyes knowing that #GoodKingHarry is well supported by his mother’s family!” one person tweeted at the time. Somebody else wrote: “I remember so well Charles Spencer speech in W.A. that day. A man who has kept his promise and family in the Spencers H can rely on.”

And Charles was quick to show his public support for Harry again on Wednesday, after the prince settled his highly-publicized lawsuit with Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers (NGN).

You can check out a full, detailed explainer on the lawsuit here, but the crux of the matter is that Harry had accused NGN of unlawful information gathering by journalists and private investigators at the Sun between 1996 and 2011.

In the settlement, which was so last minute that the trial had already been scheduled to begin, Harry secured an eight-figure payout, acknowledgment of guilt from NGN, and — most poignantly — a public apology from the company to both himself and his mother.

For the first ever time, NGN also admitted to any wrongdoing at their publication the Sun, although they said that the unlawful activity was carried out by private investigators hired by the tabloid, not their own journalists.

“NGN offers a full and unequivocal apology to the Duke of Sussex for the serious intrusion by The Sun between 1996 and 2011 into his private life, including incidents of unlawful activities carried out by private investigators working for The Sun,” NGN’s public statement began.

“NGN also offers a full and unequivocal apology to the Duke of Sussex for the phone hacking, surveillance and misuse of private information by journalists and private investigators instructed by them at the News of the World,” it went on. “NGN further apologizes to the Duke for the impact on him of the extensive coverage and serious intrusion into his private life as well as the private life of Diana, Princess of Wales, his late mother, in particular during his younger years.”

Needless to say, many felt incredibly emotional over Harry finally securing a long-overdue apology to Diana, who was famously subjected to relentless media intrusion and scrutiny prior to her death.

“He never forgot his mother through it all. He knew this fight was bigger than him. To get an admission of guilt and an apology not just for him but for Princess Diana is beyond words. He did it,” one popular tweet reads.

“Princess Diana’s baby did it. Made his bully apologise to him and his mother. He can sleep well knowing his mother got an apology she was owed,” another adds.

“Today Prince Harry did 4 his beautiful mum what he was too young to do as a child & what none of the adults cared enough to do while she was alive. He stood up 4 her & protected her. I hope the little boy in him sleeps well tonight. Diana would be so proud,” somebody else wrote.

And Charles was just as proud of his nephew, sharing a screenshot of a BBC News report about Harry’s legal victory to his Instagram page, and adding in the caption: “It takes an enormous amount of guts to take on major media organisations like this, and incredible tenacity to win against them.”

“It’s wonderful that Harry also secured an apology for his mother – she would be immensely touched by this, I’m sure, and also rightly proud,” he added. “Well done indeed.”

Prince Harry has recently made headlines after securing a public apology from the British press for the treatment of his late mother, Princess Diana. The emotional moment has left many people feeling a sense of closure and justice for the beloved royal.

For years, Princess Diana was hounded by the media, with invasive and often cruel coverage of her personal life. This relentless scrutiny ultimately led to her tragic death in 1997. Now, more than two decades later, her son has taken a stand against the media’s treatment of his mother and demanded accountability.

The public apology from the press is a long-overdue recognition of the harm that was done to Princess Diana and her family. Many people are applauding Prince Harry for his courage and determination in seeking justice for his mother, and are feeling a sense of vindication on her behalf.

It also highlights the importance of standing up against injustice and fighting for the truth, even in the face of powerful institutions.

  • Green expounds on latest Poole apology, wants him to move on

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has apologized for punching former teammate Jordan Poole and says it is time to move on from the incident that fractured the Warriors’ locker room more than two years ago.

Green’s latest apology came after Poole said Saturday he loves “most of those guys over there” when asked about the warm reception he received in his return to Chase Center — the Warriors’ home in San Francisco — as a member of the Washington Wizards.

Green posted a tweet in response to Poole’s comments that read, “I really am sorry.”

“I responded because it’s been three years,” Green said Wednesday on “The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis.” “Like, let’s move on. We’ve moved on. I really am sorry. That statement [by Poole] was kind of like it was looking for some sympathy … kind of keep on make me out to be the bad guy. Move on, bro. It is what it is.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have punched him. But it happened. Let’s move on.”

A video was leaked from a preseason practice in October 2022 in which Green and Poole exchanged words. Green walked over to Poole, who shoved Green. Green punched Poole.

Green later publicly apologized to Poole and his family. Green was fined by the Warriors and voluntarily left the team for a stretch but did not miss any games or face any discipline from the league.

The punch took place during the team’s camp after the Warriors had won the NBA championship the season before. They then lost in the Western Conference semifinals during the 2023 postseason, and Poole was traded to Washington in a deal for Chris Paul in June of that year.

“I kind of go back and forth with this,” Green said on the podcast. “I know I was wrong, but you can’t call a man a B-word and push him and not get hit, either. So, I kind of sit in both of those spaces sometimes. Like, the reality is, the answer is probably somewhere in the middle, right? I shouldn’t have knocked him out like that. If anything, I should have hemmed him up. It kind of was just a natural reaction.

“I think, for him, you are kind of bringing that back up on yourself. Like when you do that, you just bring up that moment back on yourself. You just got to move on and keep it pushing, man. Got to let it go.”

Last season, Green was suspended for five games for putting Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a chokehold then was suspended indefinitely for striking Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face, ultimately missing 12 games.

During that latter suspension, Green underwent counseling and mandatory check-in Zoom calls with executives from the NBA, the Warriors, the players’ union and his agent in order to return to play. Green told ESPN that helped him become a “different” player and person this season. He said he had two therapists and a sports psychologist but that the check-in calls truly helped him.

This season, Green has eight technical fouls but only one ejection — as compared to four last season.

“I want people to say, ‘Man, right here was a little bleak. But then look where it went from there. And that’s due to because he took accountability,’” Green told ESPN. “Regardless of how I felt about the Rudy situation, the Nurkic situation … the Jordan Poole [incident], any situation, I took it on the chin. I took accountability for it, and I moved forward.

“They’re my fault. I needed to be better, and I failed. We all fail. But I’m not a failure.”

Green injured his left calf at the start of Saturday’s matchup with Washington. He missed Wednesday’s game at the Sacramento Kings, and he will be reevaluated next week.

In the wake of Mark Poole’s recent public apology for his controversial comments, Green has decided to speak out and urge Poole to move on from the incident.

In a statement released today, Green expressed appreciation for Poole’s apology and acknowledged the importance of taking responsibility for one’s words. However, Green also emphasized the need for Poole to now focus on moving forward and learning from the experience.

“Mark has taken a necessary step in apologizing for his comments, and I commend him for that,” Green stated. “But now it’s time for him to move on and show through his actions that he is committed to growth and positive change.”

Green went on to urge Poole to use this moment as an opportunity for reflection and personal development. “We all make mistakes, but what matters most is how we choose to respond and grow from them,” Green said. “I hope that Mark will take this as a chance to learn and evolve, both as a person and as a public figure.”

Green concluded by expressing confidence in Poole’s ability to move past this incident and continue to make positive contributions to the community. “I believe in Mark’s potential to do better and be better,” Green said. “I look forward to seeing him rise above this setback and continue to inspire others with his work and actions.”

As Poole navigates the aftermath of his apology, Green’s words serve as a reminder of the importance of accountability, growth, and resilience in the face of adversity.

  • Prince Harry Agrees to Settlement as Murdoch’s U.K. Tabloids Offer Full Apology

Prince Harry’s lawyer announced on Wednesday that he had reached a settlement with Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers over accusations of unlawful information gathering — an abrupt end to a case that Harry had cast as a last chance to hold the tabloids to account for years of predatory behavior.

News Group Newspapers offered Harry a “full and unequivocal” apology for hacking his cellphone and intruding into his personal life, and acknowledged “unlawful” conduct by private investigators hired by one of the tabloids, The Sun.

The company also apologized for past intrusions by its journalists into the private life of Harry’s mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, who died in a car accident in Paris in 1997 while being pursued by photographers.

“We acknowledge and apologize for the distress caused to the duke, and the damage inflicted on relationships, friendships and family, and have agreed to pay him substantial damages,” the apology read, referring to Harry using his alternative title, the Duke of Sussex.

The settlement, announced the day after the long-awaited trial was scheduled to begin, spared News Group Newspapers from weeks of damaging testimony about phone hacking and other unlawful methods it used more than a decade ago to ferret out information about Harry and other prominent figures. It also spared Harry, 40, the younger son of King Charles III, from heavy financial risk, regardless of how he had fared in court. Under English law, Harry would have been required to pay the legal costs of both sides if the court did not award him an amount commensurate with what News Group Newspapers offered him in a settlement.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

In a surprising turn of events, Prince Harry has agreed to a settlement with Rupert Murdoch’s U.K. tabloids after they offered a full apology for their invasive and damaging coverage of him and his family.

The tabloids, which have long been known for their sensationalist and often misleading stories about the royal family, issued a public apology to Prince Harry for their past actions. In response, Prince Harry has agreed to a settlement that will see the tabloids change their editorial practices and commit to more responsible reporting in the future.

This settlement marks a significant victory for Prince Harry, who has been a vocal critic of the tabloid press and its treatment of him and his wife, Meghan Markle. It also serves as a reminder of the power of holding media outlets accountable for their actions and the importance of ethical journalism.

While the details of the settlement have not been disclosed, it is clear that Prince Harry’s decision to accept the tabloids’ apology is a step towards healing and reconciliation. It remains to be seen how this will impact the future of media coverage of the royal family, but one thing is certain: Prince Harry’s willingness to stand up for himself and his family has set a powerful example for others to follow.

Brody Jenner says Caitlyn Jenner has apologized for “not being there” when Brody was growing up.

“Just recently, I got a real, sincere apology,” Brody, 41, said of Caitlyn, 75, in the Wednesday, January 15 episode of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. “It was the first time in my life that I’ve ever gotten an apology. You know, ‘I’m sorry for not being there,’ and honestly, it meant a lot.”

It is no secret that Brody and Caitlyn share a complicated history. Long before becoming a star of The Hills or a contestant on Special Forces, Brody spent his formative years with a famous father who wasn’t always around. Caitlyn, formerly Bruce, transitioned in 2015, and since then their relationship is “better,” Brody said on the Fox reality show.

When he was young, however, “I’d randomly see him — ‘him’ at the time — you know, here and there,” he remembered. “But, mom would tell me that I would write on cards, ‘Why doesn’t dad call me on my birthday?’”

Keeping up with Brody Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner’s complicated relationship may be easier said than done. Long before becoming a star of The Hills or a contestant on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, Brody grew up with a famous father who wasn’t always present. “The big formative years for them, I was really struggling with […]

Caitlyn, who is a former Olympic decathlete and motivational speaker, has six children with three different wives: Burt Jenner and Cassandra Marino with Chrystie Scott, Brandon Jenner and Brody with Linda Thompson and Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner with Kris Jenner.

“I had an incredible mother,” Brody said in Special Forces. “Father, Bruce, at the time, wasn’t around that much. They split, and then he met a woman. She had kids as well. The woman that he met … they had kids together.”

Caitlyn appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians (2007-2021) with ex-wife Kris and their daughters Kylie and Kendall, in addition to Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and Rob Kardashian — Kris’ children from her previous marriage to the late Robert Kardashian.

Brody admitted that the Kardashians’ show had made him feel “a little bit abandoned,” but with hindsight, he now understands that Caitlyn was “going through [her] own struggles, transitioning, and it was all that was put on TV, and there were these moments that we would have that was all filmed, and it just felt very invasive and not very genuine, I would say.”

When Brody “found out that Caitlyn, or Bruce, wanted to be Caitlyn, it was sort of a relief,” he shared. “I think that there were a lot of things that started to make sense, you know, just in my life, about my father, and maybe why he wasn’t there all those years.”

Brody has gained new perspective since welcoming daughter Honey with Tia Blanco in 2023.

“I think not having Bruce around growing up and her doing that transition, it was tough just being her son,” he said in Special Forces. “I just had a beautiful little daughter. I’m not living for myself anymore. I’m living for her. … I think it’s gonna make me a better father.”

He added: “I’m gonna do the exact opposite of, as far as being there for her, as my father did for me.”

Brody Jenner Says He’s Received a ‘Real’ Apology From Caitlyn Jenner

In a recent interview, Brody Jenner opened up about his relationship with his father, Caitlyn Jenner, and revealed that he has finally received a “real” apology from her.

Brody has been vocal about his strained relationship with Caitlyn in the past, particularly after she transitioned and they drifted apart. However, it seems that things are starting to improve between them.

In the interview, Brody shared that Caitlyn recently reached out to him and apologized for not being there for him in the past. He described the apology as “real” and heartfelt, and expressed his gratitude for finally hearing those words from her.

He has since apologised for his actions, saying: : “I’m disappointed it come to this because the comments were made on the news on the Friday night which I considered to be banter and humour – which is consistent with what I do.

  • Novak Djokovic receives apology from broadcaster after Australian Open controversy

Novak Djokovic has received an apology from Australian broadcaster Tony Jones after he made comments the Serb didn’t like at the Australian Open.

The Channel 9 presenter acknowledged his remarks, made during a broadcast on Friday night, had caused offence after Djokovic declined to participate in customary on-court interviews following his fourth-round victory over Jiri Lehecka on Sunday.

The incident occurred when Jones mocked a group of Djokovic supporters gathered outside the broadcast booth at Melbourne Park.

Jones was filmed singing: “Novak is overrated, Novak’s a has-been, Novak kick him out”.

Djokovic took to social media to explain his decision to decline interviews with Channel 9, citing the broadcaster’s failure to issue a public apology.

“A couple of days ago the famous sports journalist who works for the official broadcaster, Channel 9 here in Australia, made a mockery of Serbian fans and also made insulting and offensive comments towards me,” Djokovic stated.

  • Laura Loomer Issues Apology Amid H-1B Fight With Elon Musk

Laura Loomer Issues Apology Amid H-1B Fight With Elon Musk

Laura Loomer, an activist for President-elect Donald Trump‘s Make America Great Again (MAGA) political movement, issued an apology to entrepreneur Sriram Krishnan amid a dispute among the MAGA base over H-1B visas in which tech billionaire Elon Musk has fanned the flames.

Newsweek reached out to Loomer via online form and Krishnan via social media direct message for comment Sunday afternoon.

    Why It Matters

This week, an intense row erupted among Trump’s supporters over H-1B visas, a highly competitive visa program allowing American companies to employ foreign workers in specialty occupations.

Loomer, who runs her own news site called Loomered, began the online fight when she criticized Trump’s appointment of Krishnan as his senior policy adviser on artificial intelligence (AI). Loomer noted Indian-born Krishnan’s previous support for eliminating some caps on green cards and making it easier for skilled foreigners to work in the United States, which Loomer claimed on X, formerly Twitter, was “in direct opposition” to the Trump agenda.

Musk has vehemently backed the visas and his future co-leader of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, has also voiced support for bringing skilled foreign workers into the U.S.

    What To Know

Early Sunday morning, Loomer posted to X: “I deeply apologize for accidentally doxxing Sriram @sriramk by sharing public FEC records with his personal info. It was an honest mistake, and I take full responsibility. I’ve removed the post and I promise that I will be more careful in the future when I post FEC records.”

In a recent X post, Loomer claimed Krishnan donated to Vice President Kamala Harris‘ 2024 presidential campaign, according to The Times of India.

Loomer asked Krishnan in the post, “Why did you donate to Kamala Harris’s Presidential Campaign less than one month before the 2024 Presidential election? You did even vote for Trump,” adding, “Now you want to infiltrate his admin?” the newspaper reported.

According to FEC records, there was a Sriram Krishnan who donated over $1,000 to the Harris for President committee and $10 dollars to the ActBlue political action committee (PAC), but there is not enough identifying information to confirm that it was the same Krishnan that Trump tapped as his AI adviser.

Before her Sunday post, Loomer wrote on X on Saturday night, “I was not trying to inflict harm on anyone, & if @sriramk felt as though I was trying to ‘doxx’ him, I sincerely apologize for that. I promise I wasn’t doxxing & I believe more speech is the answer. Not less. @elonmusk.”

The last part of her post was an apparent dig at Musk, who Loomer accused of “full censorship” after her premium account on the social media site was deactivated, claiming it was retaliation for her criticisms of H-1B visas.

In a follow-up post from Saturday night, Loomer remained firm in her opinion of H-1B visas and dug more into Musk, writing, “I won’t apologize for my views on immigration but I wanted to make it very clear that as a journalist I was posting publicly available FEC records. Not doxxing. I know @elonmusk doesn’t care because he doesn’t like me, but I am telling the truth. FEC makes that clear too.”

Meanwhile, on Thursday night, Musk wrote on X, “Just a reminder that the algorithm is trying to maximize unregretted user-seconds. If far more credible, verified subscriber accounts (not bots) mute/block your account compared to those who like your posts, your reach will decline significantly.”

    What People Are Saying

Tech entrepreneur David Sacks on Wednesday via X: “Sriram [Krishnan] has been a U.S. citizen for a decade. He’s not ‘running America.’ He’s advising on A.I. policy. He will have no influence over U.S. immigration policy. These attacks have become crude, and not in the holiday spirit. I’m signing off now. Have a merry Christmas.”

Musk on Friday via X: “The reason I’m in America along with so many critical people who built SpaceX, Tesla and hundreds of other companies that made America strong is because of H1B. Take a big step back and F*** YOURSELF in the face. I will go to war on this issue the likes of which you cannot possibly comprehend.”

Ramaswamy on Thursday via X: “Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long.”

He added in a Friday post, “I’ve said it countless times in the last 2 years & will say it again: the H-1B system is badly broken & should be replaced with one that focuses on selecting the very best of the best (not a lottery), pro-competitive (no indentured service to one company), and de-bureaucratized.”

Trump told the New York Post in a phone interview on Saturday, “I’ve always liked the [H-1B] visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That’s why we have them.”

He added: “I have many H-1B visas on my properties. I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great program.”

    What Happens Next

Once sworn into office on January 20, Trump could struggle to placate both those in business who believe skilled legal migration boosts the U.S. economy and those of his supporters who think it takes place at the expense of American workers.

Controversial political commentator Laura Loomer has issued a public apology following her heated dispute with Tesla CEO Elon Musk over the H-1B visa program. Loomer, known for her outspoken views on immigration and tech industry practices, engaged in a Twitter war with Musk after he expressed support for expanding the H-1B visa program to allow more skilled foreign workers into the United States.

In her apology statement, Loomer acknowledged that her remarks towards Musk were inappropriate and expressed regret for any offense caused. She emphasized her commitment to fostering constructive dialogue on immigration issues and pledged to approach future discussions with a more respectful and open-minded attitude.

The clash between Loomer and Musk highlighted the ongoing debate over the H-1B visa program, which has been a contentious issue in the tech industry for years. Critics argue that the program displaces American workers and depresses wages, while proponents contend that it is necessary for attracting top talent from around the world.

As the controversy continues to unfold, Loomer’s apology serves as a reminder of the importance of civil discourse and respectful communication in addressing complex and divisive issues. It also underscores the need for constructive dialogue and cooperation in finding solutions that benefit both American workers and the tech industry as a whole.
