    TRENDING RUMORS

Manchester United and Arsenal are both in contact with Mathys Tel‘s representatives in an attempt to force a move before the end of the transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. Tel, 19, turned down the chance to join Tottenham earlier in the week after a €60m deal had been agreed with Bayern Munich. Now, though, Tel is considering his options over a potential move in the last 24 hours of the transfer window.

Juventus are willing to activate the release clause to sign striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli when he returns from Galatasaray in the summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The Bianconeri are believed to have identified the 26-year-old as an ideal candidate to replace Dusan Vlahovic, who they are expecting to part ways with in one of the next two transfer windows. An offer worth €75m would be required to activate Osimhen’s clause, but the two Serie A clubs are set to discuss the move as sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli explores whether Napoli would be willing to accept a lower offer.

Chelsea forward João Félix‘s future could be decided on Sunday, with AC Milan leading the way to sign him. The Italian club’s interest is described as “concrete” by Sky Sports Germany‘s Florian Plettenberg, with Rossoneri boss Sérgio Conceição a “big admirer” of the 25-year-old Portugal international. Milan’s cause could be helped by the fact that both Felix and Conceicao share the same agent, Jorge Mendes

    – Bayern Munich are expected to announce that left-back Alphonso Davies will sign a new contract, ending months of speculation linking the Canada international with a move away from the Bavarian club. Bild’s Christian Falk reveals that Bayern officials have sanctioned a contract worth €120m over five years, which will keep the in-demand 24-year-old at the club and end interest from Real Madrid.

Borussia Dortmund have made an offer to sign Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, reports Sky Sports Deutschland. The Bundesliga club are reported to be keen to sign the 21-year-old on loan, and they have included a permanent option clause into their proposal that would enable them the choice to acquire him in the summer for a fee worth €30m. BVB are also said to be still monitoring Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki.

    CONFIRMED TRANSFERS

    – Manchester United have completed the €30m signing of full-back Patrick Dorgu from Serie A club Lecce. The Denmark international, 20, becomes Ruben Amorim’s first signing since he took charge and fills a major need on the left in the Portuguese manager’s system. Read

    – Tottenham have boosted their defensive options with the signing of defender Kevin Danso from Lens. Danso has joined the north London side on loan until the end of the season with an obligation to sign permanently for €25m. Read

    – PSV confirmed that USMNT striker Ricardo Pepi, who is currently injured, has signed a contract extension until 2030. Read

    – Marseille have confirmed that goalkeeper Pau López, 30, has joined Liga MX side Deportivo Toluca.

    – Torino have announced the €15m signing of Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei from Chelsea.

Matheus Cunha has signed a new deal with Wolves, but that won’t dissuade suitors from a move next summer as he has a release clause which will become active from June. Read

    – Everton’s women announced the signing of former Chelsea defender and Norway international Maren Mjelde, 35, on a free transfer.

    OTHER RUMORS

    – Newcastle are rivalling north-east rivals Sunderland for Linfield’s highly rated teenage defender Matthew Orr. The 17-year-old has become a first-team regular after signing his first professional contract earlier this season and the Northern Irish Premiership leaders have already rejected a bid from League One side Stockport County.

A source has told ESPN that Newcastle are considering a move for Orr, primarily to develop the youngster in the U23 side, with Sunderland also ready to exploit existing links with Linfield, from whom they signed full-back Trai Hume for £200,000 in 2022. Sources said that Orr, who trains just two days a week with Linfield due to his determination to finish his college education, is the best prospect to emerge from Northern Ireland since Manchester United defender Jonny Evans and is ready for the step-up to the professional game in England. Reports are swirling in the football world as Manchester United and Arsenal are both reportedly interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma this summer. The 24-year-old has been a standout performer for Brighton this season, catching the eye of several top clubs.

Both United and Arsenal are in need of reinforcements in midfield, and Bissouma’s dynamic playing style and defensive abilities have made him a top target for both clubs. With his contract set to expire in 2023, Brighton may be forced to sell Bissouma this summer to avoid losing him for free next year.

It remains to be seen which club will win the race for Bissouma’s signature, but one thing is for certain – his arrival would be a major boost for either United or Arsenal as they look to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting transfer saga.

  • Preview: Arsenal v Man City | Pre-Match Report | News

The big games just keep coming as we once again put the only unbeaten home record in the Premier League on the line against Manchester City on Sunday (4.30pm UK).

Having battled hard with Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering side for the past couple of seasons, we find ourselves six points ahead of them and with the upper hand in the recent meetings, having remained unbeaten in our last four clashes.

That form will have to be maintained if we’re to keep up our title push, especially now City’s winter of woe seems to have thawed. They’ve registered some important wins to return to something like the force they have been for the past few seasons, so it seems that once again, this fixture could have a huge say in the destiny of the Premier League title.

    City’s confidence returning?

Having been unbeaten in their first nine league games, City were looking odds-on to win a fifth league title in a row, but suddenly their form and confidence plummeted. Cup defeats to Tottenham and Sporting Lisbon were then followed by league losses to Bournemouth, Brighton and Spurs again, this time by a 4-0 scoreline to condemn Pep Guardiola to five straight losses for the first time in his glittering managerial career.

A 3-0 lead against Feyenoord was then squandered before a loss against Liverpool followed, and despite beating Nottingham Forest, they were beaten by Juventus and endured two draws and two defeats over Christmas, incredibly leaving them with one win from 13 matches.

But things have begun to return to normal. They’re now unbeaten in six Premier League games, and only Newcastle have won more points since Christmas than City’s 14. A 4-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain last week left their hopes of remaining in the Champions League on the brink, but after a 3-1 home win against Chelsea they overcame Club Brugge by the same scoreline on Wednesday to set up a play-off clash against Real Madrid.

    What the managers say

Arteta: “[A win] would be a big boost for us. Winning big matches is always something special. Every time we play a big match against one of our big rivals it brings something extra – the confidence, the emotion, the fact that they are there and continue to win – for that we want to achieve.

“The business is to be better than them. That’s it. The only thing I review is what happened during that match, how competitive it gets is normal when two big teams want to win the game. Nothing else from that side.”

Guardiola: “We started [this run of games] in Paris, then afterwards Chelsea, so we are already there in terms of difficult games. The schedule is what it is.

“It always happens in the Premier League, always they put the toughest [fixtures] – always they are so kind with the calendar. For many years it happens that way. We had amazing success dealing with this calendar. It’s always been like that, we accept it, I’m not complaining because we won the treble.”

    Team news

David Raya missed the midweek Champions League win in Girona with a muscular injury with Neto deputising, and the Brazilian is on standby again if our number one isn’t available, but one player who is is Myles Lewis-Skelly after his red card against Wolves was rescinded.

England duo Ben White and Bukayo Saka remain out after knee and hamstring surgery, while Takehiro Tomiyasu and former City man Gabriel Jesus are also missing with their own knee injuries.

Rodri’s ACL injury picked up in the reverse fixture has hampered City all season but he could be back before the end of the season. Ruben Dias, Jeremy Doku and Nathan Ake have sat out recent games and Guardiola admitted they won’t be fit in time for this game.

Oscar Bobb is back in training following a leg fracture, while January arrivals Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis can all feature again after being ineligible in the Champions League. Kyle Walker joined AC Milan on loan earlier this week.

    Talking tactics

Adrian Clarke, writing in the official matchday programme: City have shifted between a 4-1-4-1 and a 4-2-3-1, with the use of Kevin de Bruyne crucial to which set-up Guardiola prefers. If he is leaning towards a possession-based attacking approach, the Belgian will usually play as a No. 10 but if not, he becomes a box-to-box midfielder in a gameplan more suited to breaking at speed on fast transitions.

Averaging a league-high 61% of possession, City want to monopolise the ball. Bypassing our press by going long to Erling Haaland is an obvious ploy if he is left 1v1 with a marker, but roving left-back Josko Gvardiol also likes to make dangerous runs beyond the defensive line. He can be expertly picked out by keeper Ederson, or a central defender.

City have had more shots than any other team, and have netted a division-high nine times from outside the box. Egyptian star Omar Marmoush has been added to their ranks this month who scored 15 goals in 17 starts for Eintracht Frankfurt prior to the move, so his finishing prowess has to be respected.

However Rodri’s absence means City have also been more susceptible to counter-attacks through the middle, and only three Premier League sides have faced more shots from fast break, and their unusually porous defending has limited them to just five clean sheets in 23 matches.

    Facts and stats

We are unbeaten in 13 Premier League matches and have won the most points of any side from MD11 onwards (29). We have never had a longer unbeaten run under Mikel Arteta, last going 14 without defeat between August and December 2018.

City have lost just one of their last 40 league matches played from January until the end of the season (W33 D6). They are unbeaten in their last 23 of these games across the last two campaigns.

We have scored the most goals via set pieces (12, excl. pens) in the Premier League this season, while City have conceded the joint-fewest of these goals (2, level with Brentford). One of those though was Gabriel’s goal in the 2-2 draw in September, and five of the last 10 goals we have netted against City have come via corners.

39.6% of the minutes played by Manchester City players in the Premier League this season
have been given to players aged 30 or older.

Phil Foden has scored in four consecutive Premier League games for the very first time, while he’s scored more Premier League goals so far in 2025 than any other player (6).

Kevin De Bruyne has 12 goal involvements in 14 Premier League starts against us, while his eight goals are more than he’s managed against any other side in the competition.

City are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League games in London, since their loss at Emirates Stadium in October 2023.

Manchester City have won more points from losing positions than any other side in the Premier League this season (17), with five of their 12 wins coming after conceding the first goal.

    Match officials

Peter Bankes will be the man in the middle, the third time he’s been handed one of our games this term following our New Year’s Day win at Brentford, and the League Cup success at Preston North End. We’ve lost just twice in 10 games under his watch, which both came at Southampton in 2021 and 2022.

He’s handled two Manchester City matches this season, the last of which saw them lose 2-1 to Aston Villa in December. While he has never booked more than two players or awarded a penalty in any Gunners game, he has pointed to the spot five times in 14 Premier League games this term.

    Recent visits from City

Last season saw us end a 12-game losing streak home and away against City courtesy of a 1-0 win in October 2023, sealed by an 86th-minute strike by Gabriel Martinelli. That means we could win consecutive home league games against City for the first time since 2009.

The previous February saw City leapfrog us at the top of the table courtesy of a 3-1 victory, with Kevin De Bruyne opening the scoring before Saka levelled from the penalty spot. However second-half strikes from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland won the game.

Guardiola’s team had previously pitched up in N5 on New Year’s Day 2022, when a last-minute Rodri goal snatched victory for the visitors. Saka had given us the lead, but a Riyad Mahrez penalty and a red card for Gabriel changed the game.

City trails Arsenal in for second place in the league standings, and manager Pep Guardiola believes his club has what it takes to pull ahead.

City has gone six matches without a loss and is coming off a win against Chelsea as its goal scoring has picked up of late. Guardiola’s crew has tallied 30 goals in its last eight outings.

Phil Foden has six goals in his last seven matches, and City could soon see Oscar Bobb return after a five-month absence.

Arsenal has been inconsistent, fighting to a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa after leading 2-0. The Gunners have also registered a pair of draws against Brighton. Standing six points behind Liverpool, it could be do-or-die time for Mikel Arteta’s crew.

The two clubs met in September in a contentious match that ended all square at 2-2. John Stones delivered the tying score for City, with Arsenal down a man. Tempers flared at the conclusion as a scuffle broke out on the pitch.

  • Arsenal ganha concorrência de clube inglês por Matheus Cunha

Arsenal enfrenta resistência do Aston Villa no mercado

  • Arsenal ponder late move for Saka replacement in £50m Premier League star

Arsenal are considering whether to sign a replacement for Bukayo Saka during the final stages of this winter transfer window, alongside a new striker, and it is believed that a Premier League star is being internally debated as a late option.

Arsenal chase late January deal for attacker after injury blows

Saka is expected to be absent until March, temporarily robbing manager Mikel Arteta of a superstar player who contributes a vital tally of goals and assists on a consistent basis.

Mikel Arteta needs a Kai Havertz alternative.

Gabriel Jesus was also just starting to pick up serious form before his season-ending ACL rupture, leaving Arteta with even fewer star options in the final third and potentially threatening to derail their chase for a Premier League title.

Saka and Jesus are both sore misses for Arteta, with interim sporting director Jason Ayto and the club’s recruitment team frantically attempting to source external alternatives to the crocked duo before time runs out in nearly three days time.

Arsenal had a bid rejected for Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, but could yet go back in with another swoop for the England international, even if they’ll find it very difficult to persuade Unai Emery’s side to part company with yet another striker this month after Jhon Duran (Graeme Bailey).

The vast majority of noise coming from Arsenal has revolved around their chase for a centre-forward in particular, but there are other reported targets, like Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, who can play across the forward line as both a striker and wide player.

This indicates that Arsenal could be contemplating a new winger before the transfer deadline, with a report by CaughtOffside stating that Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo is a top target in that regard.

Arsenal consider late January move for Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo

The outlet claims Ayto and Arteta are very much pondering a Saka successor in the final days of January, with Semenyo being considered as a possible late signing by Arsenal.

The ex-Bristol City star could cost up to £50 million, but given Arsenal just had a £60m rejected for Watkins, it appears they’d have the cash to pay such a fee.

    Antoine-Semenyo-AFC-Bournemouth

Semenyo’s tallied eight goals and four assists in 24 total appearances this campaign, helping Bournemouth’s push for Europe as Andoni Iraola’s side stand out as one of the surprise packages of this campaign.

That being said, it could be difficult to sway the Cherries into parting with a star player mid-way through this crucial season.

“The manager’s taken him to another level, he obviously has that capability because you saw it with Solanke. I’m just seeing him elevate his game right now, we’ll talk about why does that happen, a lot of it is purely on confidence,” said pundit Jamie Redknapp on Semenyo.

“He looks like he’s enjoying his football, his shoulders are back, he’s relaxed, every time he gets it, he plays with a bit of a swagger. He’s actually a joy to watch right now.”

Arsenal are reportedly considering a late move for a £50m Premier League star as a potential replacement for the highly sought-after Bukayo Saka.

With Saka’s future at the club uncertain, the Gunners are said to be eyeing up a big-money move for a top-flight talent to fill the void left by the versatile winger.

While no official bid has been made yet, Arsenal are believed to be weighing up their options and could make a move before the transfer window closes.

The identity of the player in question remains a mystery, but fans will be eagerly anticipating any potential developments in the coming days.

Could this mystery Premier League star be the key to Arsenal’s success this season? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • Bukayo Saka’s replacement at Arsenal could be Antoine Semenyo

Arsenal are still looking to make a splash in the January transfer market, and one deal they could get over the line is for a highly-rated Bournemouth player to replace Bukayo Saka.

Premier Injuries still say it will be months before the England international returns to the Gunners first-team, so there is a real need for Mikel Arteta to get his feet wet in terms of transfers this month.

Arsenal want Semenyo to replace Bukayo Saka

Indeed, Arteta noted the severity of Saka’s injury, leaving his side light in the area of the pitch where the 23-year-old does his best work.

Wolves’ Matheus Cunha is of interest to Arsenal, but sources have indicated to CaughtOffside that the North Londoners have put Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo on their transfer list as the main alternative to Saka.

Semenyo has impressed many with his versatility for the Cherries this season, and sources understand that Bournemouth are keen to keep him in January, valuing the player at around £50 million.

The Ghana international has recorded six goals and three assists in 21 appearances (transfermarkt), performing in a variety of attacking positions.

Arsenal identify in-form €70m man as ‘ideal’ transfer target!

Liverpool have also registered an interest in the player and have proposed a swap deal involving young winger Ben Doak, but Bournemouth don’t appear interested in such a switch.

Sources have further advanced to CaughtOffside that Semenyo is open to leaving with a desire to prove himself at the top level.

Bukayo Saka replacement may not be only Arsenal signing in January

Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle are believed to be waiting in the shadows to see how things develop over the coming days before confirming their interest and making a move.

A double deal between Arsenal and Bournemouth might well be on the cards too, as sources suggest that Arteta is exploring the possibility of bringing Milos Kerkez to the Emirates Stadium as the replacement for Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney, both of who are expected to leave in the current window.

Manchester United will provide the major competition to this deal being executed successfully by the Gunners, though as with Semenyo, Bournemouth are reluctant to part with the player.

Bukayo Saka has been a shining star for Arsenal this season, but with his contract situation still up in the air, the Gunners may need to start thinking about potential replacements. One player who could fit the bill is Antoine Semenyo.

Semenyo, currently playing for Bristol City in the Championship, has been making waves with his performances this season. The 21-year-old forward has a similar playing style to Saka, with his pace, dribbling ability, and eye for goal making him a potent attacking threat.

With Saka’s future uncertain, Arsenal could look to bring in Semenyo as a long-term replacement. The young Englishman has the potential to develop into a top player and could thrive under the guidance of Mikel Arteta.

While Semenyo may not have the same level of experience as Saka, his raw talent and potential make him an exciting prospect for Arsenal. If Saka does end up leaving the club, Semenyo could be the perfect player to fill his shoes and continue the Gunners’ attacking prowess.

Overall, Antoine Semenyo could be a smart investment for Arsenal as they look to secure the future of their attacking lineup. Keep an eye on this talented young forward as he continues to impress in the Championship.

  • Mikel Arteta targeting £48k a week Premier League star who Arsenal once rejected as a teenager

Arsenal are preparing to face Manchester City in a huge Premier League clash as Mikel Arteta prepares to face his old friend Pep Guardiola once again.

The previous encounter was a feisty affair that ended in a 2-2 draw where Guardiola praised Arteta’s tactics after Leandro Trossard was sent off for delaying the restart by Michael Oliver.

In the aftermath of the game the Gunners were accused of producing the ‘dark arts’ of football with John Stones calling Arsenal ‘dirty’ after he found an equaliser with the last kick of the game.

The build up to this clash has been much more serene, attentions for both clubs have been on the transfer market as Arsenal had a bid rejected for Ollie Watkins. It seems that Mikel Arteta is not giving up on his aim of strengthening his Arsenal squad.

Arsenal interested in signing Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo

According to the Independent, Arsenal are interested in signing Antoine Semenyo from Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth, a player that Arsenal released as a teenager following a trial.

The report claims that Arsenal ‘greatly admire’ Semenyo and is on their list of wide forwards to bring in. The deal may have to be a summer purchase however, given the reluctance of Bournemouth to sell this late in the January window and he is a key component of their impressive season.

Arsenal are set to sign Martin Zubimendi already in the summer and it is widely thought that Benjamin Sesko will also be a priority signing for Arteta come the end of the season.

This doesn’t take away the fact that Arsenal need reinforcements in this window and with Semenyo having scored eight goals in all competitions this season and been in sensational form for his current side.

Semenyo would be an upgrade on Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard

Should Arsenal manage to bring their interest forward into January, Semenyo would be an upgrade on current wingers Gabriel Martinelli and Trossard.

Semenyo’s pace, power and ability to take on defenders has meant that he has outperformed the Arsenal duo in a number of key attacking metrics this season.

Arteta is doing everything he can to bring in another attacking option before the transfer deadline comes and goes, Arsenal are interested in Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich as well as Watkins.

The Gunners want the right fit for their squad and someone who will bring quality to their push for silverware but a body is a must as their attacking talents look jaded and in need of a boost.

Mikel Arteta targeting £48k a week Premier League star who Arsenal once rejected as a teenager

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly eyeing a move for a Premier League star who the Gunners once rejected as a teenager. The player in question is currently earning £48,000 a week and has caught the eye of Arteta with his performances this season.

Despite being turned down by Arsenal in his younger years, Arteta believes that the player has developed into a top talent and could be a valuable addition to the squad. The player’s impressive form has not gone unnoticed by other top clubs, but Arteta is determined to bring him to the Emirates.

While negotiations are still ongoing, it is believed that the player is keen on a move to Arsenal and could be swayed by the prospect of working under Arteta. With the Gunners looking to strengthen their squad ahead of next season, this signing could prove to be a shrewd move for the North London club.

Stay tuned for more updates on this potential transfer as the summer transfer window approaches.

  • Aston Villa: Ollie Watkins tells Unai Emery he will reject Arsenal to stay

Fellow striker Jhon Duran is expected to complete a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in a deal worth up to 85m euros (£71.1m). The Saudi transfer window closes on Friday.

Monchi, Villa’s president of football operations, admits the club will need to keep some of the money brought in to help comply with profit and sustainability rules.

He said: “It is an important operation for a player with tremendous potential.

“But these types of offers, for the club and the player, are difficult to reject. Between fixed and variable amounts, it will be close to 85m euros.

“There are a few small details left and for the player it is an incredible economic leap.

“The first thing we are going to do with the money we receive from the sale of Duran is to keep a portion of it because of the fair play rules, which are very demanding.

“A significant part of the income will go towards that.”

Chelsea striker Joao Felix and Paris St-Germain forward Marco Asensio are both on Villa’s wishlist before Monday’s 23:00 GMT deadline as they look for reinforcements.

Felix has seven goals in 20 games for Chelsea having moved to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid for £45m in the summer but has made just three Premier League starts.

Spain international Asensio, 29, has made 16 appearances for PSG, scoring twice, but just eight of them have come in Ligue 1 for the leaders.

Monchi told Spanish radio station El Larguero: “Then there are names, one of them being Joao. Emery likes him, because in the three transfer markets I have been in, the fourth with this one, he has always been mentioned and has been a small object of desire for Emery.

“But it is complicated, and I don’t know if we will be able to be there.

“The first time, Aston Villa were in the Conference [League] and he wanted the Champions League – that’s why he went to Barcelona. Then, in the operation with [Conor] Gallagher and Atletico he had to enter into negotiations with Chelsea and we couldn’t get in.

“It’s a similar case to Asensio there is also an important love affair. Shortly before my arrival, Aston Villa tried to sign him and came close, but he went to PSG.

“He is a player that Emery has always had in mind because he believes in his quality.”

Aston Villa’s star striker Ollie Watkins has delivered a blow to Arsenal by revealing his intentions to stay at the club and reject any potential move to the Gunners.

Reports had emerged linking Watkins with a potential move to Arsenal, with former Arsenal manager Unai Emery reportedly keen on bringing the 25-year-old to the Emirates.

However, Watkins has made it clear that he is committed to Aston Villa and has no plans to leave the club anytime soon.

In an interview, Watkins said, “I am happy at Aston Villa and I want to continue to help the team achieve our goals. I have no interest in leaving the club at this moment.”

This news will come as a relief to Aston Villa fans who have been impressed by Watkins’ performances since joining the club from Brentford last summer.

With Watkins leading the line, Aston Villa have enjoyed a strong start to the season and will be hoping to secure European qualification by the end of the campaign.

It seems that Arsenal will have to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements, as Watkins looks set to stay put at Villa Park for the foreseeable future.

Ollie Watkins would be open to joining Arsenal this month but Aston Villa are determined to keep the England international.

Mail Sport revealed on Wednesday that the Gunners had an offer for Watkins rejected after receiving encouragement that a successful swoop was possible.

Arsenal, on Thursday, still had not given up hope of landing the 29-year-old despite the understanding that Villa will not consider selling Watkins and his strike partner Jhon Duran in the same window.

Duran is close to joining Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr.

Arsenal are now weighing up a second offer in hope of reviving the deal but if Duran completes his switch to the Middle East it appears highly unlikely that a renewed bid would be successful.

Watkins, for his part, is open to joining Arsenal – the club he supported as a boy – should the two clubs reach an agreement.

With Arsenal likely to further strengthen their forward line this summer should a move for Watkins fail this month, this may be the final opportunity for the forward to join the team he followed as child.

If a deal is not possible, Arsenal are monitoring Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel, 19, and could launch a move for the Frenchman.

Tel also has interest from Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United and Aston Villa.

Ollie Watkins is open to joining Arsenal this month following a shock bid, but Aston Villa are determined to keep the England striker.

According to reports, Arsenal have made a move for Watkins as they look to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window. The Gunners are in need of a proven goal scorer and see Watkins as the perfect fit to lead their frontline.

Watkins, who has impressed since joining Aston Villa from Brentford in 2020, is said to be open to the idea of joining Arsenal and testing himself at a bigger club. The 25-year-old has scored 8 goals in 20 Premier League appearances this season and has caught the eye of several top clubs.

However, Aston Villa are determined to keep hold of their star striker and have no intention of selling him this month. The Midlands club see Watkins as a key player in their push for European qualification and are not willing to let him go without a fight.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will be able to convince Aston Villa to part ways with Watkins, but it is clear that the Gunners are keen to add the talented forward to their ranks. With the transfer window open, this saga is sure to develop in the coming days. Keep an eye on this space for all the latest updates.
