Arkansas head coach John Calipari updated the injury status of his star freshman point guard, Boogie Fland, after the Razorbacks’ loss to Missouri on the road Saturday.
Fland, who has been dealing with a hand injury since the Jan. 11 matchup against Florida, finished the game with four points while shooting 2 of 13 from the floor.
“Boogie’s hand, you know, he fell in the game at our place against Florida,” Calipari said after the game. “Billy (Richmond) jumped on him, so his hand is pretty bad. Don’t know what we’ll do going forward. But, we got to make sure we get that thing right.”
Fland finished the Florida game with 15 points and came out the next game on the road vs. LSU and scored a game-high 19 points. The four-point finish vs. Mizzou was just the third time during Fland’s true freshman season for the Razorbacks that he scored anything less than 10 points, and first time in SEC play.
Still, Fland has averaged 35 minutes per game for Arkansas since his injury and hasn’t missed any time on the court. If Fland has to take some time off to heal, Calipari is confident his squad can hold strong without their freshman point guard.
“We’ve got nine guys and if Boogie is out for a while we may have eight guys,” Calipari continued. “Well, guess what those eight guys got to do? Play well. All of them. You can’t have four of the eight and get it done and that means again, mindsets.”
If Fland missed time due to recovery, Arkansas will likely turn to DJ Wagner and Johnell Davis to be the team’s spark in the backcourt. Adou Thiero continues his breakout junior season and is averaging a team-high 16.4 points per game.
Looking ahead in the Razorbacks’ schedule, they’re set to host No. 23 Georgia on Wednesday night inside Bud Walton Arena. Still searching for their first SEC win of the season, the Razorbacks have lost five-straight games after starting the season 11-2.
There’s more than enough time for Arkansas to turn its season around. However, the Hogs will need to do so in short order and meeting a ranked Georgia team with the benefit of playing on their home floor is a perfect place to start.
Tip-off between the Razorbacks and Bulldogs is set for Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET live on the SEC Network.
Kentucky Wildcats guard Boogie Fland suffered a hand injury during a recent game, and head coach John Calipari provided an update on his condition.
In a press conference, Calipari stated that Fland’s hand injury is “pretty bad” and that he will likely be out for an extended period of time. The talented guard has been a key player for the Wildcats this season, averaging double-digit points and providing solid defense on the court.
Fland’s absence will undoubtedly be felt by the team, but Calipari expressed confidence in the rest of the players stepping up in his absence. The coach also emphasized the importance of Fland taking the time to properly heal and recover from his injury before returning to the court.
Wildcats fans will be eagerly awaiting further updates on Fland’s condition and hoping for a speedy recovery for the star guard. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

Kitty Song Covey’s new roommate, Stella Cho, in XO Kitty Season 2 hides a secret that could threaten to destroy the life of a friend closest to her.
Stella (Audrey Huynh) is introduced as Kitty’s overly cheery roommate who is entering her first year at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS).
As the season progresses, not everything is what it seems as Kitty and her friends slowly unearth Stella’s dark revelations in the Netflix series.
Is Stella Evil in XO Kitty Season 2?
Audrey Huynh
Warning – The rest of this article contains spoilers for XO Kitty Season 2.
In Season 2, Episode 1 (read more about the full cast of XO Kitty Season 2), Stella tells Kitty (and the viewers) that she became part of KISS due to an exchange program through her church and was originally from Pepper Pike, Ohio.
While Stella seems like a candidate to become one of Kitty’s best friends in the brand-new episodes, Season 2’s premiere ends with the big reveal that Stella’s real name is Esther.
Stella even tells her parents on the other end of the line that “there is no more Esther,” and she is attending KISS to “get what [she] deserves:”
“For the last time, my name is Stella. There is no more Esther. And I do have to do this. I’m here to get what I deserve. Now leave me alone.”
In the following episodes, Stella shows her true colors by creating more drama for Kitty and using her as a distraction so that she can progress on her evil scheme.
She exposes Kitty’s goodbye letter to Yuri, in which she talks about her real feelings for her. This leads to a heartbreaking chain of events: Yuri and Juliana’s breakup and Praveena’s failure to pursue Kitty in a potential relationship.
Stella exposes Kitty’s goodbye letter to Yuri during their skiing weekend at Min Ho’s dad’s cabin, distracting her friends so that she can snoop around and find dirt from his father to reveal who he truly is.
The first wave of Stella’s plan includes leaking documents exposing Mr. Moon’s harsh behavior, calling them “MoonLeaks.”
Too bad for Stella, Kitty becomes suspicious after the whole letter fiasco at the cabin.
As Min Ho and Stella get closer, Kitty also progresses in learning the truth.
She finds out that Stella is actually Esther, who auditioned for one of Mr. Moon’s previous talent shows, Rising Stars with Young Moon.
Min Ho’s dad embarrassed her in front of a worldwide audience, and she even became a famous meme centered around her final words in the audition: “But beauty was supposed to come from within.”
Although Kitty initially tries to warn Min Ho, he is already blinded by his feelings for Stella.
Stella’s plan also involves planting a recording device (disguised as a gift) in Mr. Moon’s office, where she finds out that Min Ho’s brother, Joon Ho, has a pregnant girlfriend who is also one of his backup dancers.
So, Did Stella Win?
Stella later comes clean to Min Ho and threatens to blame Kitty for everything she did, meaning that Min Ho has no choice but to play along.
Stella’s plan ultimately changes at the last minute after she decides to cheat and win Mr. Moon’s Talent Show at the end of the semester instead (with Min Ho’s help) since a recording contract is up for grabs for the winner.
Despite that, Dae later realizes what Stella is doing to his best friend, and he works with Kitty and the others to expose who she truly is.
Min Ho tells the truth to his father, and his brother, Joon Ho, later reveals to the public that he is in love with his pregnant girlfriend.
This revelation means that Stella can no longer reveal anything about Min Ho’s family, and she is later arrested and deported back to Ohio.
In XO Kitty Season 2, fans have been left wondering if Stella is truly as bad as she seems. Throughout the season, Stella has been portrayed as a conniving and manipulative character, constantly causing trouble for the other characters. But is there more to Stella’s character than meets the eye?
Many fans have speculated that Stella may have a hidden agenda, one that goes beyond just causing chaos for the sake of it. Some believe that Stella’s true plan may be to take down the other characters and assert her dominance in the Kitty Kingdom.
One theory suggests that Stella may be working with a mysterious figure behind the scenes, pulling the strings and manipulating events to her advantage. This would explain her seemingly calculated actions and her ability to always stay one step ahead of the other characters.
Others have proposed that Stella may have a tragic backstory that has shaped her into the character she is today. Perhaps she has been hurt in the past and is now seeking revenge on those she believes wronged her.
Whatever the case may be, one thing is for certain – Stella is a complex and intriguing character whose true motives have yet to be fully revealed. As XO Kitty Season 2 continues to unfold, fans can only speculate on what Stella’s true plan may be and how it will impact the other characters in the Kitty Kingdom.
Ke Huy Quan gained fame as a child actor in ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ and ‘The Goonies’ but took a 19-year break from acting to work behind the scenes. He returned with ‘Finding ʻOhana’ (2021) and earned an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ (2022), becoming the first Vietnam-born actor to win an Oscar.
In 2023, he was named one of Time’s 100 most influential people, and for our readers most importantly, he starred as Ouroboros aka Ob in the second season of ‘Loki.’ Fans liked his role and while we are wondering whether he will reprise his role in the future of the MCU, Quan revealed he has different aspirations.
Ke Huy Quan revealed in an interview with Empire that he wants to step out of his usual roles and try playing a villain, like a Bond villain or a character similar to Hugh Grant’s in ‘Heretic.
Ke Huy Quan, best known for his roles in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and “The Goonies,” is ready to take on a new challenge. The actor, who is set to appear in the upcoming Disney+ series “Loki,” recently expressed his desire to play a Bond villain.
In a recent interview, Quan shared his excitement about the possibility of stepping into the iconic role of a Bond villain. “I’ve always been a fan of the James Bond movies, and I think playing a villain in one of those films would be an incredible opportunity,” he said. “I want to go out of my comfort zone and just play this diabolical, really bad guy.”
Quan’s desire to play a villain in a Bond film comes as no surprise, as he has proven his versatility as an actor time and time again. From his comedic roles in “The Goonies” to his action-packed performances in the “Indiana Jones” movies, Quan has shown that he has the range to tackle any role that comes his way.
Fans of Quan will no doubt be excited to see him take on the challenge of playing a Bond villain. With his talent and charisma, there’s no doubt that he would bring a unique and memorable twist to the iconic role. Let’s hope that Quan’s dream of playing a Bond villain becomes a reality in the near future.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a star who radiates as much positive energy as Ke Huy Quan – from his ebullient young performances in The Goonies and Temple Of Doom, to his heart-swelling Oscar-winning turn in Everything Everywhere All At Once, to his affable performance in Loki Season 2. But beyond his impending fight-fuelled action-comedy Love Hurts, Quan has a desire to play against type. Yes, the friendliest man in Hollywood wants to see if being bad really does feel pretty good.
“I would love to play a bad guy. Like a Bond villain,” Quan tells Empire in a major new interview in the 28 Years Later issue. “Or the kind of thing Hugh Grant does in Heretic.” The worse he can go, the better. “I want to go out of my comfort zone and just play this diabolical, really bad guy,” he laughs. “That would be a lot of fun.” Someone get him a fluffy white Blofeld cat, stat.
For Quan, as he moves beyond his Oscar-winning comeback as Waymond in Daniels’ multiversal masterpiece, he plans to keep showing all the different shades and colours that that film was able to showcase. While Love Hurts will display his mastery of martial arts (for years, Quan worked behind-the-scenes on action choreography, including on 2000’s X-Men), he wants to keep showing more. “I don’t want to be perceived as an action star,” he explains. “I hope I’m perceived as an actor who does action well. So I’m going to take it one step at a time. The best part about being an actor is, you get to play a variety of different characters. I love [Loki’s] Ouroboros because he’s so different than [EEAAO’s] Waymond, and Waymond is so different than [Love Hurts’] Marvin Gable.” Let the cinematic multiverse unfold.
Read Empire’s full new Ke Huy Quan interview – talking his Oscar success, his love of action movies, and where his career goes next – in the 28 Years Later issue, on sale now. Order a copy online here. Love Hurts comes to UK cinemas on 7 February.
Ke Huy Quan, known for his roles in iconic films like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Goonies, is ready to take on a new challenge. The actor recently expressed his desire to play a “diabolical, really bad guy” in an upcoming project.
Quan, who has mostly played lovable and charming characters in his career, is eager to showcase his range and versatility as an actor by taking on a darker and more complex role. He believes that playing a villain would allow him to explore different aspects of his craft and push himself outside of his comfort zone.
Fans of Quan are excited to see him tackle a new kind of role and are eager to see what he will bring to the table as a “diabolical, really bad guy.” With his talent and charisma, there is no doubt that Quan would excel in such a role and leave a lasting impression on audiences.
Stay tuned for updates on Ke Huy Quan’s potential new project and his transformation into a formidable antagonist on screen.
