  • Taylor Swift Makes Everyone Feel Like ‘Family,’ Says Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin is sharing a glimpse at what it’s like being inside the suite with Taylor Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs game.

On the Jan. 23 episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, the WWE star, 40, reflected on how the “Fortnight” singer, 35, made him and his family instantly feel like they belonged when they entered Travis Kelce’s suite.

“So we went [and] they took [me and my family] in, took us up to the suite, and then my uncle or my brother, one of the two was like, ‘I wonder if Taylor’s gonna be here?,’” Corbin recalled. “As they say it, she walks in the room, and it was like, ‘Yeah, right there dude.’”

“And like my brother’s freaking a little bit, and like she walks right up to everybody, gives them a hug [and] gave us a hug,” he continued. “Like, it was like you were instantly family in that vibe.”

However, Corbin — who described himself as a lifelong Chiefs fan — also noted that being with the Grammy winner was eye-opening due to her level of fame.

“It was crazy ‘cause I [felt] like I was in a fishbowl and I wanted out of the suite,” Corbin admitted. “It’s just mobs of people taking selfies of Taylor and just her existing.”

“I’ve never been around someone like that. .. It’s a different magnitude,” he continued. “You felt like everyone in the stadium was staring at you because you were standing behind her.”

He added that he was able to have a few “conversations with her,” and that she didn’t have an “entourage.” He revealed the majority of the suite was filled with “Kelce’s buddies from high school and home.”

“They’re all humble and nobody’s got egos, but Taylor’s super dope,” Corbin said.

“And [Travis is] humble, and he is the guy. Same with Taylor,” he said. “She is all of those things, for her to come up and just give me, a complete stranger, a hug, and she doesn’t know that I’m there with Travis… that speaks volumes on the type of person [she is].”

“Same with Travis. Like that speaks volumes for him to invite me and put me in that atmosphere of what kind of person he is,” he added. “It’s so neat.”

Swift has attended numerous Chiefs games to cheer on her NFL player boyfriend, 35, since Sept. 24 2023  — which was a few months after the pair started dating. In return, Kelce has also supported the singer-songwriter on tour, even making a brief appearance during one of The Tortured Poets Department segments.

Kelce opened up about the couple’s mutual support of each other during an appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show, saying,  “I’m enjoying all aspects of life. Me and Taylor are happy.”

“I think personally, that’s the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you,” Kelce said. “That’s why I wanted to be at the concert, supporting her and being there for her, making sure she feels comfortable and supported in everything she’s doing in life.”

Taylor Swift Makes Everyone Feel Like ‘Family,’ Says Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin, the WWE superstar, recently opened up about his experience meeting Taylor Swift and attending one of her concerts. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Corbin shared that Swift’s warm and welcoming personality made him feel like part of her ‘family.’

“Taylor Swift is just an amazing person. When I met her, she was so kind and down-to-earth. She made me feel like I was part of her family,” Corbin said. “Attending her concert was an incredible experience. The way she connects with her fans and creates a sense of unity in the crowd is truly special.”

Corbin also expressed his admiration for Swift’s talent as a musician and performer, noting that her ability to connect with her audience goes beyond just her music.

“Taylor Swift is not just a talented artist, she’s a true entertainer. Her stage presence is unmatched, and she has a way of making everyone in the audience feel seen and appreciated,” Corbin added.

Overall, Corbin’s comments serve as a reminder of Swift’s ability to create a sense of community and belonging among her fans, regardless of their background or interests. Swift’s music has always had a way of bringing people together, and it seems that her genuine and kind-hearted nature only adds to that sense of unity.

  • Tom Pestock (Baron Corbin) Explains Why He Was Upset After A Writer Said, ‘We Need Bodies For Jacob Fatu’

Tom Pestock (Baron Corbin) was utilized in a variety of ways during his 12-year run in WWE, filling a role from the top of the card to the bottom of the card.

Pestock often put over top guys who were on their way or already established as world championship talent.

Adam Cole And Costco Guys (Big Boom! AJ And Big Justice) Bring The Boom To AEW Collision: Homecoming

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Pestock recalled a conversation with a writer who used a term that he was not thrilled with.

“I almost lost it one time. I was so angry, and I don’t get angry that easy over stuff like this. I try not to let people control my emotions. I was sitting with the head writer of SmackDown, and it still makes my blood boil because it doesn’t pertain just to me, but I was like, ‘Do we have any ideas? What are you thinking creatively?’ He’s like, ‘We have Jacob [Fatu] up and running. We’re going to need bodies for him.’ We’re not bodies. Nobody on this roster is just a body. That was so frustrating to hear. It doesn’t pertain to me, but this is what you think of? I’ve been here 12 years and I’m a body for somebody else? If you want to say something like that, go, ‘We think you’d be great to help build Jacob. You’d make him look like a monster.’ Let’s go. ‘We’re going to need bodies.’ He’s referring to the bottom half of our roster. It’s so disrespectful to say that about people who go out there and put their life on the line every night. Careers can be ended in an instant. Look at Big E. One suplex wrong and he may never wrestle again. It can end like that. You can end up a quadriplegic; all of these things can happen. It’s your livelihood and how you put food on the table.

“I’m grateful to have a long career that I don’t have to worry about that. If you’re three years in and just a body and disregarded as not even a human being, in a sense, come on. It takes everybody. Guys who are there to be extras are just as important as talent. Without those guys, we don’t have major superstars. You need guys that can do that and do it well. That’s harder sometimes than being the top guy when everything is fed to you, and you’re given every opportunity, and you’re built on this pedestal. When you’re the dude clawing at the bottom trying to get there, it’s way harder to be down there and survive and be happy and successful than to be ‘this is our guy and everything funnels to him.’ That’s easy to be up there. The only hard part is the amount of time it takes. When you’re put on a pedestal, it’s much easier than being a guy fighting for those two or three minutes. To refer to them as bodies….I said something and he was like, ‘I didn’t think of how I said it that way.’”

Pestock never faced Fatu in WWE.

Elsewhere during the interview, Pestock explained why Baron Corbin is dead. You can find his full comments by clicking here.

Tom Pestock, better known as WWE superstar Baron Corbin, recently opened up about a situation that left him feeling upset and disrespected. In a recent interview, Pestock revealed that he was approached by a writer who told him, “We need bodies for Jacob Fatu.”

The comment caught Pestock off guard and left him feeling frustrated. He explained that being referred to as just a “body” for another wrestler made him feel like he was being reduced to nothing more than a prop in someone else’s story.

Pestock emphasized that he takes pride in his work and always strives to deliver the best performance possible in the ring. Being treated as expendable and replaceable was a blow to his morale and passion for the sport.

While Pestock understands that wrestling is a collaborative effort and that each wrestler plays a role in elevating their opponent, he believes that every wrestler should be respected and valued for their contributions to the industry.

In response to the incident, Pestock made it clear that he will not tolerate being treated as just a “body” and that he expects to be treated with the same level of respect and professionalism as any other wrestler.

Fans have rallied behind Pestock, showing their support and appreciation for his dedication to his craft. Pestock’s willingness to speak out against injustices in the industry has only further endeared him to his fans and solidified his reputation as a true professional in the world of professional wrestling.

  • Baron Corbin Recalls Being Disrespected By WWE Writer When He Was Described As A “Body” For Jacob Fatu

Baron Corbin’s time in WWE was dominated by ups and downs, much of which can be blamed on Vince McMahon’s booking. For example, making him an authority figure not only drove viewers away but it damaged Corbin’s career almost beyond repair.

Being sent back to NXT helped him turn things around and, as Bron Breakker’s tag team partner, Corbin found new life in WWE. Separated when he returned to the main roster, Corbin’s return was largely disappointing and after a short-lived partnership with Apollo Crews, he was released.

Talking to Chris Van Vliet, Corbin revealed a moment in the final weeks of his time with the company when he felt particularly disrespected. That came after SmackDown‘s head writer let him know he’d only be used as a “body” for The Bloodline’s Jacob Fatu.

“I was sitting with the head writer of SmackDown, and it still just kind of makes my blood boil, because it doesn’t pertain just to me. But I was just like ‘Hey, do we have any ideas? What are you thinking creatively?’ He’s like, ‘Well we got we got Jacob up and running, so we’re gonna need bodies for him.’ I was like we’re not bodies dude. Nobody on this roster is just a body. That was so frustrating to hear. Like I said, it doesn’t pertain to me, but it just goes, this is what you think of [us]. I’ve been here at this point 12 years and I’m a body for somebody else?”

“Dude, if you want to say something like that go ‘Hey man, we think you’d be great, because you could help build Jacob, you could make him look like a monster.’ Dope, let’s go. But we’re gonna need bodies? He’s referring to the bottom half of the roster. When you say that it’s so disrespectful to say that about people who go out there and put their life on the line every night, because careers can be ended in an instant. I mean, look at Big E, one suplex wrong and he may never wrestle again, it can end like that, or you can end up a quadriplegic. All of these things could happen. It’s your livelihood. It’s how you put food on the table.”

“I’m so gracious to have such a long career that I don’t have to worry about that. But if you’re three years in and you’re just a body, and you’re disregarded as not even a human being, in a sense, come on dude. It takes everybody, guys who are there to be extras, they’re just as important as talent in a sense, because without those guys doing that, we don’t have major superstars. You need guys that can do that and do it well. I think that that’s harder sometimes than being the top guy when everything is fed to you, you’re given every opportunity, you’re built on this pedestal.”

“When you’re all the dudes clawing at the bottom to try to get there, it’s way harder to be down there and survive and be happy and successful than it is to be this is our guy, we wrote his name right there, so everything else funnels to him. That’s easy to be up there. It’s the only hard part is the amount of time it takes. When you’re put on a pedestal, it’s much easier than being guys fighting for those two three minutes on a show and then to refer to him as bodies. I said something, and he was like, ‘I didn’t think about how I said it that way.’ But I was just like, This is why it’s good that I’m going away for a little while regardless.”

Even with Triple H calling the shots in WWE, it’s clear some people in the company have the same bad attitude towards talent.

It’s not hard to see why Corbin felt disrespected and, as he explains elsewhere in this conversation, he’s excited to move on from WWE as “The Nomad” Bishop Dyer.

You can watch the full interview with Corbin in the player below.

Baron Corbin Recalls Being Disrespected By WWE Writer When He Was Described As A “Body” For Jacob Fatu

Former WWE superstar Baron Corbin recently opened up about a disrespectful incident he experienced during his time in the company. In a recent interview, Corbin recalled a conversation he had with a WWE writer where he was described as nothing more than a “body” for rising star Jacob Fatu.

Corbin, who is known for his impressive in-ring skills and larger-than-life persona, was taken aback by the writer’s comments. He felt that reducing him to just a “body” for another wrestler undermined his talent and hard work in the industry.

“It was really frustrating to hear that kind of language being used to describe me,” Corbin said. “I’ve put in countless hours of training and dedication to my craft, and to be reduced to just a ‘body’ for someone else was incredibly disrespectful.”

Despite the writer’s comments, Corbin continued to prove himself as a formidable competitor in the ring. He went on to have successful feuds and matches with some of the biggest names in WWE, showcasing his versatility and athleticism.

Corbin’s story serves as a reminder of the challenges and obstacles that wrestlers face in the industry, and the importance of respect and recognition for their hard work and dedication. It also sheds light on the need for a more inclusive and supportive environment for all wrestlers, regardless of their status or role in the company.

  • Baron Corbin Recalls Frustrating Moment With WWE Head Writer: “I Almost Lost It”

Baron Corbin once got frustrated with WWE SmackDown’s head writer.

Last year in November, WWE decided to not renew Baron Corbin’s contract, and the former champion parted ways with the company. However, since then, things have changed. Corbin, now going with Bishop Dyer, recently competed in his first match since the release on January 19, 2025, against Josh Barnett.

One of the top names during his time at the promotion, Corbin has experienced the highest of highs, as well as the lowest of lows creatively. Once, with the most protected finishers, ‘End of Days’, Corbin even went on a not-so-promising run.

An established talent, Corbin, aka Tom Pestock, was also often used to put over talents. Earlier last year, SmackDown brought in Jacob Fatu as a part of Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline, showcasing the Samoan Werewolf as a legitimate threat to destroy anyone.

Addressing Fatu’s run, Corbin recalled an incident when he got frustrated with SmackDown’s head writer. Reflecting on the conversation, the former Money In the Bank holder revealed a ‘term’, the writer used, which he was not thrilled to hear. Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, he commented,

    He further added:

“I’m grateful to have a long career that I don’t have to worry about that. If you’re three years in and just a body and disregarded as not even a human being, in a sense, come on. It takes everybody. Guys who are there to be extras are just as important as talent. Without those guys, we don’t have major superstars.

    H/t Fightful

Away from the promotion now, Baron Corbin has rebranded himself as Bishop Dyer and believes a WWE return cannot be ruled out.

Baron Corbin Opens Up On Missing Raw Premiere Episode

In the same interview, Baron Corbin further opened up on his feelings about missing out on the Netflix premiere on 6th January 2025.

“I was a little bummed I didn’t get to be on Netflix. How cool is that? It’s such a really awesome thing, and things are changing there. I never thought I would see logos on the ring, because it’s been such a historic business of don’t change this, this is the history. We don’t mess with it.

Hunter’s bringing a new light, a new vibe, a new energy and I think it’s going to bring new fans. You’re seeing celebrities. It’s not what it used to be where guys were like, Are you a wrestling fan? Don’t let anybody hear me tell you but did you see Raw last night? Now it’s like, this is cool, man.

This is fun. Stars from [George] Kittle to all these people. [Patrick] Mahomes was at Raw, Bad Bunny is killing it. It’s not like, Hey, we’re bringing these guys in and they have no clue, we’re just gonna pay him to show up. Like, these are people who they know what they’re doing. They know what they’re getting.”

In other news: A recently released WWE star has opened up on her wrestling future.

Baron Corbin Recalls Frustrating Moment With WWE Head Writer: “I Almost Lost It”

In a recent interview, former WWE superstar Baron Corbin opened up about a particularly frustrating moment he experienced with a WWE head writer during his time with the company.

Corbin revealed that during a creative meeting, the head writer had pitched a storyline for him that he felt completely missed the mark. Despite offering his own ideas and suggestions, Corbin felt like his voice was being ignored and dismissed.

“I remember sitting in that meeting, trying to explain why the storyline they had planned for me just didn’t make sense for my character. But it was like talking to a brick wall,” Corbin recalled.

The frustration continued to build as the head writer seemed unwilling to listen to Corbin’s perspective or take his feedback into consideration. “I almost lost it in that moment. I had put so much time and effort into building my character, only to have it thrown aside like it didn’t matter,” Corbin said.

Ultimately, Corbin decided to take matters into his own hands and push for changes to the storyline. While he was able to make some adjustments, the experience left a lasting impact on him.

“It was a tough lesson to learn, but it taught me the importance of standing up for myself and fighting for what I believe in. In the world of WWE, you have to be willing to speak up and advocate for yourself, no matter how frustrating it may be,” Corbin concluded.

The incident serves as a reminder of the challenges and frustrations that can come with working in a high-pressure environment like WWE, but also highlights the importance of staying true to oneself and fighting for what you believe in.
