Brett Favre believes being confronted by Mark Gastineau over Michael Strahan’s sack record was a setup by ESPN and NFL Films.
Last December, ESPN released the trailer for its 30 for 30, titled The New York Sack Exchange, featuring Gastineau’s grudge against Favre over deliberately taking a sack to give Strahan the NFL’s single-season record. A record that was previously held by Gastineau.
The trailer shared an uncomfortable scene where Gastineau confronted Favre at a memorabilia show in Chicago. In the clip, an unsuspecting Favre went to shake Gastineau’s hand with a smile, only to find out the former defensive end had no desire to have a pleasant exchange. On a recent episode of The Michele Tafoya Podcast, Favre spoke about the Gastineau incident, believing it didn’t happen organically.
“There are athletes from all sports; generally, it’s retired guys,” Favre said of the memorabilia show. “So, you encounter a lot of different guys, but I had no clue, and I really think that was a setup by ESPN and/or NFL Films. Because there was a camera hiding above this divider. Now, I think Mark has got some serious concussion issues, but I’m not a doctor. I had never met him before…and he actually came right to the table – he’s still a big guy – I was just signing…I looked up and I said, ‘Hey, Mark!’ and right away, I knew, he wasn’t all there. Honestly, I was thinking, the last thing I want to have to do is fight this guy right here.”
Favre said his instinct was “I need to be first,” whether that meant taking a swing at Gastineau or running from the exchange.
22 years after losing the NFL single-season sack record, Mark Gastineau confronted Brett Favre for ‘taking a dive’ on the record-breaking play.
“To have to be thinking that is crazy,” Favre told Tafoya. “That was a weird moment.”
Gastineau said he had no idea Favre would be at this particular memorabilia show. His former teammate Marty Lyons, who witnessed the exchange, stated he tried to convince Gastineau not to approach Favre. And NFL Films’ Ken Rodgers, who directed the 30 for 30, has said the incident was unexpected.
So maybe this wasn’t a setup as Favre alleges. But it doesn’t seem like too much of a conspiracy to believe someone involved with the 30 for 30 may have at least been prepared for the potential confrontation, especially once they found out Favre was in attendance. It certainly helped in promoting the documentary.
Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre shared his thoughts on the recent exchange between Mark Gastineau and ESPN, calling it “a setup.” In a recent interview, Gastineau, a former NFL player, got emotional while discussing his battle with health issues and blamed the NFL for not taking care of former players. Favre believes that ESPN intentionally put Gastineau in a difficult position to elicit a strong emotional response for the sake of ratings. Favre expressed his disappointment in the network’s tactics and called for more respectful and thoughtful journalism when covering sensitive topics like player health and safety.
The NBA unveiled the “reserves” for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game on Thursday evening, finalizing the 24-man player pool. And for the first time in the 2020s, no Dallas Maverick was selected, as Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic weren’t chosen by the NBA coaches, despite both finishing in the top six of Western Conference guard voting.
Doncic’s exclusion wasn’t a surprise; he’s been hurt since Christmas Day with a calf strain and has played in just 22 of Dallas’ 49 games to this point. There’s no games-played requirement for the All-Star Game like there is with postseason awards, so Doncic technically could’ve been selected, but it’ll also give him another week to rest.
Irving’s exclusion was shocking to many people around the NBA, including former NBA Champion and a former teammate of Kyrie Irving, Kendrick Perkins. He had this to say on ESPN
“I look at a guy like Steph Curry making the All-Star Game this season, and I look at a lot of guys like Kyrie Irving, Devin Booker, De’Aaron Fox, just in this conference who had better seasons, or are playing better than [Curry]. I’m going to say the quiet thing out loud: Steph Curry should not be an All-Star. He shouldn’t! No matter what the fans want, no matter what the coaches want, no matter what we want to see, you still have to earn to be an All-Star by your production. And if you’re looking at the production around the league, it’s guys in the Western Conference that have better numbers than Steph, and their teams are in better positions than Steph.”

Comparing just Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving, Perkins has a point. Irving is averaging 24.3 PPG, 4.9 RPG, and 4.6 APG while shooting nearly 50/40/90, while Curry is at 22.1 PPG, 6.2 APG, and 4.6 RPG, but isn’t as efficient from three or the floor as Irving is (the degree of difficulty on Curry’s threes are higher, for what it’s worth).
Irving also has the Mavericks at 26-23, sitting 9th in the Western Conference, while Curry’s Warriors are 24-24 in 11th. At the very least, it’s neck and neck, but Curry was voted as a starter, while Irving will be spending the week at home, barring an injury replacement being needed.

Former NBA champion and current analyst, Kendrick Perkins, recently voiced his opinion that Kyrie Irving deserved an All-Star nod over Steph Curry this season. Perkins argued that Irving’s performance on the court this season has been exceptional and that he has been a more impactful player for the Brooklyn Nets than Curry has been for the Golden State Warriors.
Perkins praised Irving’s scoring ability, playmaking skills, and leadership on the court, emphasizing that he has been a key factor in the Nets’ success this season. He also pointed out Irving’s impressive stats, including his scoring average and shooting percentages, as evidence of his All-Star caliber performance.
While Curry is undoubtedly one of the greatest shooters in NBA history and has had a strong season as well, Perkins believes that Irving’s overall impact on the game should have earned him a spot in the All-Star game over Curry.
It’s clear that opinions on this topic may vary, but it’s interesting to hear a former NBA champion like Perkins make a case for Irving over Curry. Do you agree with his assessment? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
There are a lot of wrestlers who have laid claim to the Tribal Chief, but Cody Rhodes believes there is only one.
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes recently sat down with TheOneMona. When asked who the real Tribal Chief is, Rhodes bestowed Roman Reigns as the real Tribal Chief of WWE.
“Okay, well, from a reality standpoint, him and The Rock are both chiefs, real chiefs. Yeah, and I feel like I might have been naive and maybe a little uncultured, and knowing…it took me a while to kind of catch up. You know, when Mr. Heyman says something you should probably listen and that him going on about the ulafala and stuff.
“I don’t think I really fully got it. And now I’m thinking, like, ‘Oh, it’s not the Million Dollar Title.’ It is it is genuine. It is real. And he represents it so well. They both do so. But who’s the real Tribal Chief? I guess you’d have to say Roman is the real Tribal Chief. I’m not gonna say Solo, a child, petulant child. I’ll say all kinds of bad stuff about Solo….maybe one day [he’ll become Tribal Chief].” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]

Cody Rhodes Reveals Who He Believes Is The Real Tribal Chief
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, AEW star Cody Rhodes shared his thoughts on who he believes is the real Tribal Chief in professional wrestling.

He stated, “I think Roman Reigns has really solidified himself as the true Tribal Chief in wrestling right now. His character work and in-ring skills have been on another level, and he has truly established himself as a dominant force in the industry.”
Rhodes went on to commend Reigns for his dedication to his character and the way he has been able to connect with fans on a deeper level. He added, “Roman has done a fantastic job of evolving his character and making it his own. He has taken the Tribal Chief persona and run with it, creating a captivating and compelling character that fans can’t help but be invested in.”
While there may be other wrestlers who lay claim to the title of Tribal Chief, Cody Rhodes seems to believe that Roman Reigns has truly earned the right to be called the real Tribal Chief in the world of professional wrestling.
Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland believes he has better striking skills than current champion Dricus du Plessis, especially when comparing their fights against Israel Adesanya.
While not the flashiest fighter in the UFC, Strickland has been a tricky puzzle for many fighters. ‘Tarzan’ utilizes a sharp jab, stabbing teeps, a great gas tank, and impeccable defense to pressure his opponents into fighting his fight.
Sean Strickland believes he has better striking than Dricus du Plessis after Israel Adesanya performances
On the UFC 312 Countdown, Strickland remarked that Du Plessis “does nothing right” and that Adesanya beat him in the striking before the submission.
“The thing about Dricus is he does nothing right but it always works out,” Strickland remarked. “. . . I think my striking’s lightyears better than his. Izzy was beating him in striking; I dogwalked Izzy.”
Strickland lost his title to Du Plessis in a highly contentious split decision. It was a near 50-50 split on media members’ scorecards, and fans had Du Plessis losing the fight, per MMA Decisions.

I dogwalked Izzy: Sean Strickland believes his striking is ‘lightyears’ ahead of Dricus du Plessis
In a recent interview, UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland didn’t hold back when discussing his upcoming opponent, Dricus du Plessis. Strickland, known for his no-nonsense attitude, confidently stated that his striking skills are “lightyears” ahead of du Plessis.
“I’ve watched his fights, I know what he brings to the table,” Strickland said. “But let’s be real here, I dogwalked Izzy [Israel Adesanya] in sparring, and he’s one of the best strikers in the world. Dricus is good, but he’s not on my level when it comes to stand-up.”
Strickland, who is coming off an impressive victory over Uriah Hall, is looking to make a statement in his next fight against du Plessis. The South African fighter has been on a tear in the UFC, with notable wins over the likes of Trevin Giles and Brendan Allen.
But Strickland remains unfazed by his opponent’s recent success, confident in his own abilities to come out on top.
“I’m not here to play games, I’m here to dominate,” Strickland declared. “Dricus better be ready for a war, because I’m bringing everything I’ve got to this fight.”
Fans can expect fireworks when these two middleweights face off in the Octagon, as both fighters are known for their aggressive fighting styles. Will Strickland’s striking prowess be enough to overcome du Plessis’ skills, or will the South African contender prove to be a tough challenge for the surging American? Stay tuned to find out.

Los Angeles Clippers pulled off an impressive 127-117 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, powered by stellar performances from James Harden and Norman Powell. After the game, Kawhi Leonard praised his teammates and expressed his belief that both Harden and Powell deserve spots on the NBA All-Star roster.
“[James Harden] and [Norman Powell] closing out that game was special,” Leonard said. “It was great, very special. Them taking on the challenge, getting to their spots—they made it look easy.”
Leonard went on to highlight their consistency this season: “They’ve been playing great all year. There’s a lot of politics in [All-Star selections]. I’m not sure if they’re going to give us two players, but hopefully, they do. They’ve been playing at a high level.”
James Harden delivered a game-high 40 points, along with five rebounds and nine assists. He shot 12-of-24 from the field and went a perfect 12-of-12 from the free-throw line. Meanwhile, Norman Powell contributed 33 points, six rebounds, and three steals on 11-of-23 shooting. The Clippers improved to an impressive 22-8 (.733 win percentage) this season in games where Powell scores at least 18 points.

Harden: All-Star recognition is secondary to team goals
A 10-time NBA All-Star, James Hardenremains one of the league’s most respected players, but he downplayed the significance of individual accolades this season.

“It would mean a lot,” Harden said when asked about potentially earning another All-Star nod. “I think it would be my 10th or 11th. Just being one of the top 24 players in this league—I feel like I deserve it. But I’m not going to campaign for myself. I just go out there, put the work in, and it is what it is.”
Harden emphasized that team success is his primary focus: “We’re, what, top five or top six [in the standings]? [Norm] is shooting the ball at a high clip, leading our team in scoring. Somebody’s got to make it. We’ve put the work in and put ourselves in a really good position. But that’s out of our control. For us, I think we’re just focused on continuing to rack up wins because we’ve got a bigger goal than All-Star Games.”
Harden has been productive this season, averaging 21.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game on 39.7% shooting from the field and 34.4% from three-point range. He’s one of only three players in the Western Conference averaging at least 20 points, five rebounds, and eight assists per game.
Powell’s case for All-Star selection
Norman Powell has been equally impactful, showcasing his offensive firepower. Powell is averaging 23.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 3.5 made three-pointers per game on 49% shooting from the field and 43.1% from beyond the arc. He has scored 20+ points in 28 of the 37 games he has played this NBA season.

“I think I’ve been playing at an All-Star level all season,” Powell told ClutchPoints. “Honestly, I don’t like talking about myself, but numbers don’t lie—where I’m at, what I’m averaging, what I’m doing across the board, and the efficiency that I’m playing with. I see myself as an All-Star, I want to be an All-Star, and I think I am.”
As the Clippers continue to climb in the standings, the performances of Harden and Powell remain pivotal. Whether or not both players earn All-Star nods, their impact on the Clippers’ success this season is undeniable.
In a recent interview, Kawhi Leonard shared his thoughts on the upcoming NBA All-Star game, expressing his belief that James Harden and another one of his Clippers teammates deserve spots on the All-Star roster.
Leonard praised Harden’s performance since joining the Clippers, highlighting his scoring ability and overall impact on the team. He also mentioned another teammate who he believes has been playing at an All-Star level but may not receive the recognition he deserves.
With the All-Star game fast approaching, Leonard’s endorsement of his teammates adds to the ongoing debate about who should be selected for the prestigious event. Fans will have to wait and see if Harden and his Clippers teammate ultimately earn their spots on the All-Star roster.

The Ukrainian president also said on Saturday that the terms of any deal that might arise under the new US president were still unclear – and might not even be clear to Trump himself – because Vladimir Putin had no interest in ending the war.
However, the Russian president has emphasised that he is open for talks with Trump on a broad range of issues including his country’s war in Ukraine, telling a state TV journalist on Friday: “We believe the current president’s statements about his readiness to work together. We are always open to this and ready for negotiations.”
Trump, who took office on Monday, has, in turn, expressed willingness to speak to Putin about ending the war, a contrast with the outgoing administration of Joe Biden, who shunned the Russian leader. Trump even promised during his election campaign to end the war within his first 24 hours in the White House – without saying how, and aides have since suggested that a deal could take months.
And Zelensky has now stressed that ending the war would not be possible unless Trump includes Ukraine itself in any negotiations.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday alongside Moldova’s president, Maia Sandu, a visiting ally, Zelensky said: “Otherwise it will not work. Because Russia does not want to end the war, while Ukraine wants to end it.”
In a separate interview broadcast later that day, Zelensky said he believed Trump truly wanted to see an end to the war, nearing the three-year mark next month, describing the US president as understanding all the challenges associated with the peace process and “simply saying this has to end or it will get worse”.
Speaking to Italian journalist Cecilia Sala, who was released this month after being detained for 21 days in Iran, Zelensky added: “For now, we don’t know how this will happen because we don’t know the details. I believe President Trump himself does not know all the details. Because I would say so much depends on what sort of just peace we can achieve. And whether Putin wants, in principle, to stop the war. I believe he doesn’t want to.”

Kyiv, long worried about the prospect of its fate being decided by bigger powers without its participation, has said it is working to arrange a meeting between Zelensky and Trump.
Addressing journalists earlier alongside Sandu, Zelensky said he believed European allies should also be included in any future peace talks.
“As for what the set-up of the talks will be: Ukraine, I really hope Ukraine will be there, America, Europe and the Russians,” he said. “Yes, I would really want that Europe would take part, because we will be members of the European Union.” Ukraine and Moldova both submitted applications to join the EU days after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.

On Friday, Putin said he would like to meet Trump to talk about Ukraine but cited a 2022 decree from Zelensky barring talks with Putin as a barrier to negotiations.
Zelensky said on Saturday he had introduced this ban to stop Putin from forming channels of communication with other groups in Ukraine, which he said Russia had attempted, particularly those advocating separatist views.
“I therefore took an absolutely fair decision,” he said. “I am the president of Ukraine and the leader of these or any other talks and I banned all the others.”

On Sunday, Zelensky said Russia had used 1,250 aerial bombs, over 750 attack drones and more than 20 missiles to attack Ukraine over the past week, calling on his country’s partners “to act in unity”.
Ukraine’s military said its air defences downed 50 of 72 drones launched by Russia overnight, with no casualties or damage reported.
Meanwhile, Kyiv’s general staff said its forces attacked one of Russia’s largest oil refineries in the city of Ryazan again overnight, with explosions and fire reported in the target area.
Russia’s Defence Ministry said its air defence systems destroyed 15 Ukrainian drones over Russia and two sea drones in the Black Sea on Sunday.
Russian troops, meanwhile, have seized the town of Zelene and the village of Velyka Novosilka in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, Russian news agencies reported on Sunday, citing the defence ministry, in battlefield reports that could not be independently verified.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that former President Donald Trump could potentially help end Russia’s war on Ukraine, but only if Ukraine is included in peace talks. Zelensky has expressed his willingness to work with Trump to find a resolution to the conflict, but insists that Ukraine must have a seat at the table in any negotiations.
In a recent interview, Zelensky stated, “I believe that President Trump could play a crucial role in bringing an end to the war in Ukraine, but it is essential that Ukraine be included in any peace talks. We cannot allow our country to be sidelined in discussions about our own future.”
Zelensky’s comments come as tensions continue to escalate between Russia and Ukraine, with ongoing fighting in the eastern region of Donbas and fears of a potential full-scale invasion by Russian forces. The Ukrainian president has called for international support in standing up to Russian aggression and has emphasized the importance of a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
While Trump’s exact role in resolving the conflict remains unclear, Zelensky’s willingness to engage with the former president highlights the urgency of finding a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Only time will tell if Trump will take up Zelensky’s offer and use his influence to help bring an end to the war.
With the WNBA free agency now in full swing, the Connecticut Sun wasted no time in giving Alyssa Thomas a core-player designation, essentially allowing the franchise to make her a restricted free agent. As WNBA reporter Madeline Kenney wrote in an article for the New York Post on Monday, however, the fact that the Sun cored Thomas could have an impact on her fiancée, DeWanna Bonner.
Because the franchise now has a chance to hold on to Thomas through the WNBA free agency, they could also end up retaining Bonner. As Kenney wrote in an article for The Post, the fact that the team might keep Thomas could indicate that Bonner will stay with the Sun as well.
At 38 years old, Bonner, a two-time WNBA champion and six-time All-Star, is certainly on the tail-end of her career. However, she has continued to show her dominance year after year.
In addition to playing all 40 games in back-to-back seasons, Bonner is still producing at a rate consistent with her career points per game average of 14.9, averaging 17.4 in 2023 and 15.0 in 2024.
Given that, as the Sun looks to win their first title in franchise history, retaining both Thomas and Bonner through the WNBA free agency period would certainly be a big plus for the team.
Could Alyssa Thomas wind up parting ways with the Sun despite core-player designation in WNBA Free Agency?
The WNBA’s core player designation means that teams around the league can essentially mark certain players as restricted free agents, however, that doesn’t mean that Thomas will be with the Sun to start the 2025 WNBA season.
The WNBA’s core-player designation allows the Sun to cut out other teams by offering Thomas a one-year supermax contract.
Although the two sides could use that as an opportunity to negotiate a long-term deal, with the WNBA expected to finalize a new CBA before the 2026 season, Thomas and plenty of other players are targeting one-year deals.
Because of that, the two options seem to be either the Sun hold on to Thomas, or after receiving her core-player designation to kick off the WNBA Free Agency, she requests a trade.
Although she hasn’t done so, last season Thomas notably expressed frustration over the fact that the Sun doesn’t have a dedicated practice facility. Back in September, before their first playoff game with the Indiana Fever, the team was practicing at a community rec center.
Given that, Thomas’s expressed frustration could be an indication that she may not want to stick around in Connecticut this season.

Introduction:
Recently, there has been speculation surrounding the future of WNBA star DeWanna Bonner, as her fiancée Alyssa Thomas has been designated as a core player by the Connecticut Sun. This decision could have significant implications for Bonner’s future in the league.
Body:
Alyssa Thomas, a versatile forward for the Sun, was recently named a core player by the team, which means that they have the right to match any offer she receives from another team. This designation could potentially impact Bonner’s future, as the Sun will need to carefully manage their salary cap to accommodate both players.
Analysts believe that the core designation of Thomas could make it more difficult for the Sun to retain Bonner, who is set to become a free agent this offseason. Bonner is a valuable player in her own right, and will likely attract interest from other teams in the league.
It remains to be seen how the Sun will navigate this situation, as they will need to make tough decisions in order to keep both Thomas and Bonner on the roster. Ultimately, the team’s ability to retain both players could have a significant impact on their success in the upcoming season.
Conclusion:
The core designation of Alyssa Thomas could have a major impact on DeWanna Bonner’s future in the WNBA. As the Sun navigate the complexities of managing their roster and salary cap, it will be interesting to see how they prioritize keeping both players on the team. Fans will be eagerly awaiting news on Bonner’s future and how the team plans to move forward.
Former New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi gave a strong endorsement for Mike Vrabel being named the Patriots’ new head coach.
Bruschi and Vrabel were teammates from 2001-2008 and won three Super Bowls in that timeframe. The duo formed a sturdy linebacker group for the organization and helped set the tone for the defensive success in the 2000s.
“He’s the right man for the job … it’s been bad for the last two years with the New England Patriots organization,” Bruschi said on ESPN NFL Countdown, via Mike Reiss. “When they hired Jerod [Mayo], at the press conference, a big word that was used was ‘collaboration.’ Everybody’s input and all that stuff; well, I don’t know how much it is that any more. And I think that’s a good thing.
“Because Vrabel isn’t going to joke around, Vrabel is going to tighten the screws. In my opinion, there are some people in the front office that need to be told, ‘You don’t know what you’re doing and you need to take a step back.’”
Vrabel will reportedly be “the man” making the personnel decisions in New England, along with serving as the head coach. There’s hope that his arrival will be a much-needed wake-up call for a Patriots team coming off three straight losing seasons.
The first order of business is revamping the coaching staff before shifting the focus to the player roster.
Legendary defender, Ray Lewis, believes the New England Patriots made the right decision in hiring Mike Vrabel as their new head coach. Lewis, a former linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens, praised Vrabel’s leadership skills and football knowledge, stating that he is the perfect fit for the Patriots organization. With Vrabel at the helm, Lewis believes the Patriots are poised for continued success in the NFL. #MikeVrabel #NewEnglandPatriots #RayLewis #NFL #LegendaryDefender

The US president was asked about the island in the Air Force One press room
President Donald Trump has said he believes the US will gain control of Greenland, after showing renewed interest in acquiring the autonomous Danish territory in recent weeks.
“I think we’re going to have it,” he told reporters on Air Force One on Saturday, adding that the island’s 57,000 residents “want to be with us”.
His comments come after reports that Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen insisted Greenland was not for sale in a fiery phone call with the president last week.
Trump floated the prospect of buying the vast Arctic territory during his first term in 2019, and has said US control of Greenland is an “absolute necessity” for international security.
“I think the people want to be with us,” Trump said when asked about the island in the press room on board the presidential plane.
“I don’t really know what claim Denmark has to it, but it would be a very unfriendly act if they didn’t allow that to happen because it’s for the protection of the free world,” he added.
“I think Greenland we’ll get because it has to do with freedom of the world,” Trump continued.
“It has nothing to do with the United States other than that we’re the one that can provide the freedom. They can’t.”
Despite Trump’s apparent confidence, the prime ministers of Greenland and Denmark have both previously said the island was not for sale.
Meanwhile, Danish premiere Frederiksen said earlier this month that “Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders”, and only the local population could determine its future.
The newspaper quoted an anonymous European official as saying the conversation was “horrendous”, and another saying Trump’s interest in acquiring Greenland was is “serious, and potentially very dangerous”.
The Danish prime minister reportedly insisted the island was not for sale, but noted the US’s “big interest” in it.
Reuters
Donald Trump Jr, the president’s eldest son, made a private visit to Greenland to make a podcast recording in January.
Greenland lies on the shortest route from North America to Europe, making it strategically important for the US. It is also home to a large American space facility.
In recent years, there has been increased interest in Greenland’s natural resources, including mining for rare earth minerals, uranium and iron.
Though the island has wide-ranging autonomy, it remains part of the kingdom of Demark.
But there is a general consensus in Greenland that it will eventually become independent, which could pave the way for a new kind of relationship with the US.
President Trump’s claim that the people of Greenland “want to be with us” may come as a surprise to some of the island’s residents.
A fishing boat captain in the Kapisillit settlement told the BBC Trump was “welcome to visit” the island, but that “Greenland belongs to Greenlanders”.
And local church elder Kaaleeraq Ringsted said Trump’s language was “not acceptable”, adding “Greenland is not for sale”.
There are several ways Trump could pursue his desire to take over the territory. Asked earlier in January whether he could rule out using military or economic force, Trump said he could not.
His recent comments have sent shockwaves through the Danish political establishment, sparking hastily organised high-level meetings in Copenhagen earlier this month.
In a recent statement, President Donald Trump declared his belief that the United States will eventually “get Greenland.” The announcement comes after reports surfaced that the President had expressed interest in purchasing the autonomous territory from Denmark.
Trump’s interest in acquiring Greenland has been met with mixed reactions, with some seeing it as a bold and strategic move to secure valuable resources and expand American influence, while others view it as an outrageous and unrealistic proposition.
Greenland, known for its vast natural resources and strategic location, has been a point of interest for several countries in recent years. However, Denmark has firmly stated that Greenland is not for sale.
Despite the pushback from Denmark and skepticism from critics, President Trump remains confident in his belief that the US will eventually “get Greenland.” Only time will tell if his vision will become a reality. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
