Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy ‘agrees to interview with police in Argentina’ as witness in bid for justice

Liam Payne‘s girlfriend has reportedly agreed to be interviewed by Argentinian Police as they continue their investigation into the pop star’s tragic death.

Kate Cassidy was with Payne just two days before he died when he fell from the third floor of a Buenos Aires hotel on October 16.

The 25-year-old is not under investigation for any wrongdoing, instead she will provide a witness statement to provide police with an insight into Payne’s final days.

In words reported by the Daily Mirror, a source claimed that Ms Cassidy is speaking with the force because ‘she wants the right people to be brought to justice’.

The source said: ‘She’s going to help in any way she can, she wants the right people to be brought to justice, and if that takes her answering their questions, she’s going to do it.

‘Obviously, there’s no reason for her not to cooperate, she tried for a long time to help him get clean, and is still haunted by what happened. Anyone who provided drugs to Liam should be prosecuted, she says.’

Local police are interested in questioning three people including Payne’s friend Roger Nores who has denied claims he abandoned the former One Direction bandmate before he plunged to his death.

He has so far refused to answer police questions and instead his defence lawyers have said he would submit a written statement to the court in the coming days.

Alleged dealer Braian Nahuel Paiz and former employee at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel Esequiel David Pereyra said they were ‘retaining their right to remain silent’ during their Zoom quiz on December 17.

The last two suspects, hotel chief receptionist Esteban Grassi and head of security Gilda Martin, were scheduled to be questioned on the week of December 16.

An autopsy after Payne’s death ruled that he died instantly after the fall caused ‘multiple traumatic injuries’ and then led to ‘internal and external hemorrhage’.

On November 7, the Argentinian National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office said that the singer’s toxicological results  showed that he had traces of ‘alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressants’ in his system.

Mr Nores previously told TMZ that Payne was in ‘good spirits and personally balanced’ the day of his death and denied claims he was acting erratically before his fatal fall.

He said in a statement last month: ‘I never abandoned Liam, I went to his hotel three times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened.

‘There were over 15 people at the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left. I could have never imagined something like this would happen.’

‘I’ve given my statement to the prosecutor on October 17 as a witness and I haven’t spoken to any police officer or prosecutor ever since. I wasn’t Liam’s manager. He was just my very dear friend.’

Former One Direction member Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, has reportedly agreed to be interviewed by police in Argentina as a witness in the ongoing investigation into the tragic death of a young fan at one of Payne’s concerts.

The incident, which occurred during a meet and greet event with fans in Buenos Aires, left 17-year-old Sofia Martinez fatally injured after being caught in a stampede of excited fans trying to get close to Payne. Despite efforts to save her, Martinez tragically passed away at the scene.

Cassidy, who was present at the event, has been praised for her willingness to cooperate with authorities and provide her account of the events leading up to Martinez’s death. Sources close to Cassidy have revealed that she is deeply affected by the tragedy and hopes that her statement will help bring justice for Martinez and her grieving family.

Fans of Payne have also expressed their support for Cassidy, commending her bravery in speaking out and standing up for what is right. As the investigation continues, it is hoped that Cassidy’s testimony will shed light on the circumstances surrounding Martinez’s death and help prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.

  • Marianne Williamson launches bid for DNC chair

Marianne Williamson launches bid for DNC chair

Marianne Williamson, an author and former Democratic presidential candidate, announced Thursday that she is launching a campaign to become the next chair of the Democratic National Committee.

“I am announcing I’m running for DNC chair,” Williamson said in a video announcing her candidacy, “because I feel that I can bring a level of expertise to the process of lifting up this possibility of victory over the next two and four years in a way that will not occur if we are only looking traditional means of politicking in order to make that happen.”

Williamson added that she’s been talking to Democratic voters about what they’d like to see from their party.

“I’ve traveled extensively throughout this country, and I’ve seen how much pain there is out there,” she said. “I’ve been up close and personal with people who didn’t have health care, who couldn’t survive on just one job, who were so depressed about so many of the conditions in their lives that were, in fact, at least indirectly due to bad public policy, and too many of them didn’t feel like the Democratic Party had their back.”

Williamson is the latest candidate, and the first woman, to jump into the race to succeed outgoing DNC Chair Jaime Harrison.

She joins a wide field of candidates who previously announced their bids for chair, including former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, Minnesota Democratic Party Chair Ken Martin, Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler, New York state Sen. James Skoufis and former Maryland Senate candidate Robert Houton.

So far, most of the candidates say that they would seek to begin a new term as DNC chair by learning what went wrong for their party in 2024 and conducting what is often called a postmortem” analysis of the election.

Williamson agreed with that strategy in her video, saying, “We need to know what it was that made people feel that their wallets were more important than their pain. We need to understand what it is that has made people emotionally and psychologically disconnect from a sense that the Democratic Party was part of a great legacy in American history.”

There have been no public forums yet where the candidates have met and taken questions from members of their party, but those meetings are slated to start in the new year. The official election for the next DNC chair will be held on Feb. 1.

In her video, Williamson added that her goal as chair of the DNC would include connecting the problems in voters’ lives to public policy solutions.

“I want to help people connect with the political issues that are going on in their lives in a very real and personal way. And I want to help people understand that by connecting to the Democratic Party, they can truly make a difference,” she said.

Marianne Williamson, best-selling author and spiritual leader, has announced her bid for the chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Williamson, known for her messages of love and unity, believes that her unique perspective can help bring the party together and lead it to victory in future elections.

In a statement released on her website, Williamson said, “I believe that the Democratic Party needs a leader who can inspire and unite the American people. We need to move beyond the divisive politics of the past and focus on creating a better future for all. As DNC chair, I will work tirelessly to ensure that our party stands for love, compassion, and justice.”

Williamson’s bid for DNC chair has already generated excitement among progressives and spiritual seekers alike. Many believe that her message of love and unity is exactly what the party needs to heal and move forward.

As the race for DNC chair heats up, it will be interesting to see how Williamson’s message resonates with party members and voters. Stay tuned for updates on her campaign and the future of the Democratic Party.

Marianne Williamson launches bid for Democratic National Committee chair

Washington — Marianne Williamson, a self-help author who twice ran for president, announced Thursday that she is running for chair of the Democratic National Committee.

In an open letter to DNC members posted online, Williamson laid out her plan for the party as it seeks to move forward after losing the White House and Senate in November. She urged Democrats to sign a petition to allow her to participate in candidate forums that will be held in January.

DNC members will elect the party’s new chair and other officers at its winter meeting Feb. 1. There will also be a series of four forums to allow those running for DNC chair to speak with party members and lay out their vision for the Democratic Party.

“As chairwoman, I will work to reinvent the party from the inside out,” Williamson wrote in her pitch to DNC members. “For if we want a new president in four years, and a new Congress in two, then we must immediately get about the task of creating a new party.”

She said under her plan, the Democratic Party will be one that “listens more, and makes people feel that their thoughts and feelings are as important as their wallets” and “advocates unequivocally for the working people of the United States.” Williamson said the party will have “the humility to recognize we need to look in the mirror, and be willing to reinvent ourselves.”

“We won’t just fight; we will inspire. We will create a surge of patriotic fervor, and a connectedness of the American heart to the great historical legacy of this country,” she wrote. “Our ultimate success will be creating in people’s minds a sense that in order to further that legacy, your smartest move is to vote for Democrats.”

Williamson joins a field of candidates that includes Martin O’Malley, former governor of Maryland; Ken Martin, leader of the Minnesota arm of the Democratic Party; and Ben Wikler, chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party. Jaime Harrison, the current DNC chair, is not seeking reelection.

Williamson, 72, sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020 and 2024. She was the first Democrat to launch her presidential bid during the most recent election, becoming the first primary challenger to President Biden.

A spiritual adviser and author, Williamson suspended her presidential campaign in early February, but rejoined the race several weeks later. After the primaries ended in June, she posted on social media that she was “no longer a candidate for the Democratic nomination for president.” Mr. Biden dropped out of the race in July, with the Democratic Party ultimately nominating Vice President Kamala Harris.

In a surprise announcement today, spiritual author and activist Marianne Williamson has officially thrown her hat into the ring for the position of Democratic National Committee chair. Known for her inspirational speeches and advocacy for social justice issues, Williamson is seeking to bring a new vision and energy to the Democratic Party.

In a statement released on her website, Williamson said, “I believe that the Democratic Party is in need of a major shake-up. We need leaders who are willing to think outside the box and challenge the status quo. As DNC chair, I will work tirelessly to unite our party, inspire grassroots activism, and push for progressive policies that truly benefit all Americans.”

Williamson’s candidacy is sure to shake up the race for DNC chair, which has so far been dominated by more establishment figures. With her unique blend of spirituality and progressive politics, Williamson could energize a new generation of Democrats and bring fresh ideas to the party.

Former presidential hopeful Marianne Williamson announces bid for DNC chair, looks to ‘reinvent the party’

Former presidential hopeful Marianne Williamson announced a bid to become the next Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair.

In a letter addressed to DNC members posted to her Transform with Marianne Williamson site, she pledged that as chair she would seek to “reinvent the party.”

She also warned that President-elect Trump’s political accomplishments should not be underestimated.

“President Trump has ushered in an age of political theatre – a collective adrenaline rush that has enabled him to not only move masses of people into his camp but also masses of people away from ours. It does not serve us to underestimate the historic nature of what he has achieved,” Williamson said.

“In fact, it’s important that we recognize the psychological and emotional dimensions of Trump’s appeal. We need to understand it to create the energy to counter it. MAGA is a distinctly 21st century political movement, and it will not be defeated by a 20th century tool kit. Data analysis, fundraising, field organizing, and beefed-up technology – while all are important – will not be enough to prepare the way for Democratic victory in 2024 and beyond,” she asserted.

“We will create a surge of patriotic fervor, and a connectedness of the American heart to the great historical legacy of this country. Our ultimate success will be creating in people’s minds a sense that in order to further that legacy, your smartest move is to vote for Democrats,” she contended.

Williamson, an author who says she has “worked as a spiritual/political activist” over the course of her career, pursued the Democratic presidential nomination during the last two presidential election cycles but failed to gain traction in both cases.

In early 2020 she dropped out before the first nominating contest, the Iowa caucus, took place. In 2024, she suspended her campaign in February but unsuspended it later that same month.

Other figures have also announced bids for the DNC chair role, including former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, who recently served as Social Security Administration commissioner.

Former presidential hopeful Marianne Williamson has announced her bid for the chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), stating that she is looking to “reinvent the party” and bring about much-needed change.

Williamson, a spiritual teacher and author, gained national attention during her presidential campaign in 2020 with her focus on love and unity. Now, she is setting her sights on leading the DNC and bringing her message of compassion and progressive values to the forefront of the party.

In a statement announcing her candidacy, Williamson said, “The Democratic Party is in need of a transformation. We need to move beyond the politics of division and fear, and instead embrace a politics of love and unity. I believe that by reinventing the party and focusing on our shared values, we can create a brighter future for all Americans.”

Williamson’s bid for DNC chair has already garnered attention and support from progressives and grassroots activists who are looking for a fresh perspective and a more inclusive party.

As she embarks on this new chapter in her political career, Williamson is sure to bring her unique blend of spirituality and activism to the DNC, shaking up the status quo and pushing for a more compassionate and progressive agenda. Only time will tell if her vision for the party will resonate with enough voters to secure her the leadership role she seeks.
