  • Bill Gates Says Divorce from Ex-Wife Melinda ‘Was the Mistake I Regret the Most’

Bill Gates is speaking candidly about his divorce from Melinda French Gates, calling it “the mistake I regret the most.”

In an interview with The Times of London published on Saturday, Jan. 25, the former Microsoft exec, 69, opened up about his 2021 divorce from his wife of 27 years, revealing that one of his biggest goals in life was to replicate his own parents’ 45-year marriage.

“I encouraged Melinda to be a little calmer than my mother was, but we were both quite driven,” he told the outlet, reflecting on how he tried to make his own marriage reflect his parents’. “I spent more time with the kids than my dad did, but the ratio was still 10:1, with Melinda doing most things for the kids. We had a great time.”

Bill said he believes there is a “certain wonderfulness to spending your entire adult life with one person,” especially when you share children together, as well as fond memories and shared projects.

“When Melinda and I met, I was fairly successful but not ridiculously successful — that came during the time that we were together,” he told The Times of London. “So, she saw me through a lot. When we got divorced, it was tough and then she made the decision to leave the foundation — I was disappointed that she took the option to go off.”

The former couple first met in 1987, when Melinda became a product manager at Microsoft, and they eventually married in Hawaii in 1994. The pair founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation — a nonprofit dedicated to combating global poverty and disease — in 2000. Following their split, Melinda, 60, resigned from the foundation in May 2024.

When asked if divorce was his only failure in life, Bill told The Times of London: “You would have to put that at the top of the list. There are others but none that matter.”

“The divorce thing was miserable for me and Melinda for at least two years,” he continued, adding elsewhere in the conversation that he has become “more cheerful” in the nearly four years since their split, but still considers it to be “the mistake I most regret.”

“Melinda and I still see each other — we have three kids and two grandchildren, so there are family events,” he said. “The kids are doing well. They have good values.”

The pair share three children: son Rory, 25, daughter Phoebe, 22, and daughter Jennifer, 28, as well as two grandchildren, Jennifer’s daughters Leila and Mia. Bill is now dating Paula Hurd, the widow of former Oracle executive Mark Hurd.

Melinda has also previously opened up about her split from Bill, telling Time last year that while their divorce was “hard” and “painful,” over time it eventually came with “wonderful” new opportunities.

“I live in a neighborhood. Now I can walk to little stores. I can walk to the drugstore, I can walk to a restaurant,” she told the outlet, speaking about her change of scenery after the split. “I absolutely love it.”

Melinda also revealed that the former couple had separated during the COVID-19 pandemic, trading off who was able to stay at their shared family home with their children.

“It gave us the privacy to do what needed to be done in private,” she told Time of their family life during the pandemic. “You know, I separated first before I made the full decision about a divorce. And to be able to do that in private while I’m still trying to take care of the kids, while still making certain decisions about how you’re going to disentangle your life — thank God.”

In a recent interview, Bill Gates opened up about his divorce from his ex-wife Melinda, calling it “the mistake I regret the most.” The billionaire software developer and philanthropist revealed that the decision to end their 27-year marriage was a difficult one, and he now wishes he could have handled things differently.

Gates and Melinda announced their divorce in May 2021, shocking the world and prompting speculation about the reasons behind their split. While they have both remained relatively private about the details of their breakup, Gates has now admitted that he feels remorseful about the way things played out.

The couple, who founded the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation together in 2000, have continued to work together on their philanthropic efforts post-divorce. Despite their ongoing collaboration, Gates acknowledged that the end of their marriage has been a significant source of sadness for him.

As he reflects on the decision to divorce, Gates emphasized the importance of communication and working through challenges in a relationship. He expressed regret for not being able to resolve their differences and maintain their partnership, stating that he still has a deep respect and admiration for Melinda.

While Gates’ admission may come as a surprise to some, it serves as a reminder that even the wealthiest and most successful individuals can experience regret and heartache in their personal lives. It also underscores the importance of prioritizing relationships and finding ways to overcome obstacles together.

Ultimately, Gates’ candid reflection on his divorce serves as a powerful reminder that no one is immune to making mistakes in love and relationships. It is a testament to the complexities of human connection and the challenges of navigating the ups and downs of marriage.

  • Bill Gates gets candid about his divorce from Melinda: ‘The mistake I most regret’— Here’s what he revealed

Bill Gates has opened up about his divorce from Melinda Gates, describing it as his greatest regret. “That was the mistake I most regret,” the Microsoft co-founder, 69, said in a recent interview. Despite the heartache, Gates shared that he feels “more cheerful now.”

While Bill Gates acknowledged other personal failures, he placed his divorce at the top of the list. “There are others but none that matter,” he said. However, he expressed optimism about the future, noting his improved outlook. “I’m more cheerful now,” he The Times of London.

The couple, who married in 1994, announced their separation in May 2021 after 27 years of marriage. They share three children: Jennifer, 28, Rory, 25, and Phoebe, 22.

    Lessons from a long partnership

Reflecting on his time with Melinda, 60, Gates noted the depth and shared experiences that come with such a long union. “There is a certain wonderfulness to spending your entire adult life with one person because of the memories and depth of things you have done and having kids together,” he said.

When the two first met in 1987 at Microsoft, Gates was already successful but not yet the global tech icon he became during their marriage. “She saw me through a lot,” he remarked, adding that their years together included raising their children and working jointly on their philanthropic foundation.

    Parenting and family dynamics

While Gates aspired to emulate his parents’ 45-year marriage, he admitted he fell short in some aspects. “I encouraged Melinda to be a little calmer than my mother was, but we were both quite driven,” he explained. He also acknowledged that Melinda shouldered much of the parenting responsibilities. “I spent more time with the kids than my dad did, but the ratio was still 10:1, with Melinda doing most things for the kids.”

Despite their separation, Gates emphasised the importance of family. “Melinda and I still see each other — we have three kids and two grandchildren, so there are family events. The kids are doing well. They have good values,” he shared.

    Challenges after the split

The divorce was a painful period for both Gates and Melinda, with Gates describing it as “miserable for me and Melinda for at least two years.” He admitted his disappointment when Melinda decided to leave the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation after their separation. “When we got divorced, it was tough, and then she made the decision to leave the foundation — I was disappointed that she took the option to go off,” he said.

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Bill Gates opened up about his divorce from Melinda, calling it “the mistake I most regret.” The Microsoft co-founder got candid about the end of his 27-year marriage, revealing that he takes full responsibility for the breakdown of their relationship.

Gates admitted that he and Melinda had been struggling for years before they ultimately decided to go their separate ways. He acknowledged that his work at Microsoft had put a strain on their marriage, saying, “I can see now that I was not as attentive to my family as I should have been.”

The billionaire philanthropist also revealed that he and Melinda had sought marriage counseling in an attempt to salvage their relationship, but ultimately realized that they had grown apart. Gates expressed regret over not being able to make things work, saying, “I wish I could go back and do things differently.”

Despite their divorce, Gates emphasized that he and Melinda remain committed to their shared goal of philanthropy through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He expressed gratitude for their years together and the impact they were able to make through their charitable work.

As he moves forward, Gates said he is focused on continuing to prioritize his family and personal relationships. He emphasized the importance of learning from his mistakes and growing as a person, saying, “I am committed to being a better partner and father moving forward.”

  • Bill Gates says divorcing Melinda Gates was mistake he ‘most regrets’

Bill Gates has cited his divorce from Melinda French Gates as the biggest regret of his life.

The 69-year-old billionaire made the candid confession during an interview with The Sunday Times. He shared that while he’s “more cheerful now,” following his 2021 divorce from Melinda, he’s not happy with how his marriage ended.

“That was the mistake I most regret,” he said.

Although the Microsoft CEO said he has experienced other failures in his life, his divorce is “at the top of the list,” he noted.

“There are others, but none that matter,” added Gates, who has been dating Paula Hurd since 2023. “The divorce thing was miserable for me and Melinda for at least two years.”

Still, Bill said that he and his ex have stayed on good terms, and “see each other” often.

“We have three kids and two grandchildren so there are family events. The kids are doing well. They have good values,” he explained. The couple tied the knot in 1994. Their three children are now adults: Jennifer, 28, Rory, 25, and Phoebe, 22.

Gates didn’t go into any details about what triggered the divorce in the interview, though he admitted in 2021 that he had an affair with an employee during the marriage.

Before he and Melinda split, Gates also met a number of times with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who took his own life in a Manhattan correctional facility in 2019. Gates said the men talked about global health initiatives but that he stopped the meetings when he realized Epstein’s promises to help could not be trusted.

Melinda Gates later told Gayle King on CBS Mornings in 2022 that her husband’s relationship with Epstein played a role in their divorce.

She told a New York Times book author that she met with Epstein ”exactly one time” in 2013 at his Manhattan home, and it “unsettled“ her.

She was reportedly disturbed by his collection of photographs of glass eyeballs, supposedly made for injured soldiers, provocatively dressed female figurines on his marble staircase and a wall of signed photographs of famous men.

She told CBS that Epstein was “abhorrent” and “evil personified.”

Still, Melinda Gates explained, it “wasn’t one moment or one specific thing that happened. There just came a point in time where there was enough there that I realized it wasn’t healthy and I couldn’t trust what we had.”

Bill later addressed those comments, telling CBS News he will “always be sorry for the pain that I caused Melinda and our family.”

He added: “I admire Melinda and everything she does to improve the lives of women and girls around the world, and I’m grateful for the work we continue to do together at our foundation.”

In June 2024 — one month after Melinda exited the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation — she once again reflected on her divorce, noting that she was grateful to have the private breakup.

“It gave us the privacy to do what needed to be done in private,” she said during an interview with Time about going through the split during the pandemic. “You know, I separated first before I made the full decision about a divorce. And to be able to do that in private while I’m still trying to take care of the kids, while still making certain decisions about how you’re going to disentangle your life – thank God.”

She acknowledged that when her split happened, both her work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and her family were on her mind.

“I thought a lot about my three children,” she said. “But I certainly thought about the effect on the foundation. Those are the three biggest buckets: me, the kids, and the foundation. And I wanted to make sure that when we came through it to the other side – when I came through it on my side – all of those pieces were intact.”

She also spoke candidly about being in a good place in her life, despite how difficult her breakup was.

“Getting a divorce is a horrible thing. It’s just painful. It’s awful when you realize you need one,” she said, before correcting herself by clarifying that divorce is a “hard thing” instead of a “horrible thing.”

Bill Gates says divorcing Melinda Gates was mistake he ‘most regrets’

In a surprising turn of events, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has publicly admitted that divorcing his wife, Melinda Gates, was a mistake he deeply regrets. The two announced their split in May 2021 after 27 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

In a recent interview, Gates opened up about his feelings towards the divorce, stating that it was a decision he wishes he could take back. He expressed remorse for the pain and suffering it caused to his family and acknowledged that it was a difficult time for everyone involved.

Gates went on to say that he still has a deep love and respect for Melinda, and that he hopes to repair their relationship and move forward in a positive direction. He emphasized the importance of communication and understanding in any relationship, and stressed the need for both parties to work together to overcome challenges.

This public statement from Gates has sparked conversation and speculation about the future of his relationship with Melinda. Many are hopeful that the couple will be able to reconcile and work through their differences, while others are skeptical of the possibility of a reunion.

Regardless of the outcome, Gates’ candid admission of regret serves as a reminder of the importance of communication, compassion, and forgiveness in relationships. It is a powerful lesson that we can all learn from, and a message that resonates with many who have experienced the pain of separation and divorce.

  • Smashing Pumpkins Frontman Billy Corgan Thinks Bill Burr Is His Half-Brother And Confronted Him On Howie Mandel’s Show This Week

USA TODAY – Bill Burr’s latest podcast appearance turned into an unexpected (alleged) family reunion.

When the comedian, 56, was a guest on Tuesday’s episode of the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast, a surprise special guest entered: Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Billy Corgan, 57, who previously theorized that he and Burr may be half-brothers.

Corgan revealed on “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” in November that about 10 years ago, his stepmother told him she believes Burr “might be one of the children that your father sired in his days being a traveling musician.”

“My father did once tell me that I had a half-brother named Bill, who was born around the same time as me,” Corgan said. He insisted at the time that he was not joking, though he clarified that after sitting on it, he doesn’t actually think they’re related.

So during Mandel’s Tuesday interview with Burr, the “America’s Got Talent” judge revealed he had a surprise planned and brought out Corgan. The moment the musician walked in, Burr cursed at Mandel and expressed frustration over the situation, though in a playful way.

“Did you ever think the fact that I never told that story, that maybe you shouldn’t?” Burr jokingly asked Corgan, who expressed surprise that Burr wasn’t aware he would be coming.

The comedian laughed as he asked Corgan why he felt “the need” to float the idea that they might be related before roasting him for being a fan of the Chicago Cubs. Burr later clarified he wasn’t mad at Corgan, but he jokingly tore into Mandel for setting the encounter up for “ratings,” calling it “rude” and saying a podcast wasn’t the appropriate venue for them to meet.

So the internet was on fire this week with the brain-melting theory that Bill Burr and Billy Corgan might be half-brothers. Yes, you read that right. The comic who yells at clueless pedestrians, incompetent drivers, and basically all of Boston… sharing a gene pool with the Smashing Pumpkins frontman who wrote entire albums about sadness and heartbreak.

That’s like mixing Red Bull with a bottle of sleeping pills. I can’t decide if it’s hilarious or horrifying.

Here’s how this entire thing unfolded-

Billy Corgan went on Howie Mandel’s podcast, (apparently that’s really a thing) and casually dropped the bomb that his wandering musician dad might’ve fathered 12 kids, one of whom could be Bill Burr.

Bill Burr, who is 56, has always been known to have a dad who was a dentist named Robert Burr. So the idea that Bill’s father was actually some traveling musician playing God knows where is already a curveball.

Corgan insists he doesn’t totally believe the theory, it’s more “like that thing where Bono looks like Robin Williams.” But the internet ate it up.

Fast-forward to this week, Burr is invited back to Howie Mandel’s show. Probably to talk about his new special or rant about shit.

But nope. Mendel decided to spring Billy Corgan from behind a curtain like a lost episode of Jerry Springer meets Maury Povich.

It was pretty fucked up when you think about it.

KFC did a pretty good breakdown on how bizarre of a moment it was and how caught off guard Burr seemed to be.

Let’s talk about the level of cringe here. If you’ve ever caught a Jerry Springer episode, you know the moment: Some unsuspecting victim is waiting on stage, clueless, and Jerry goes, “Well, there’s someone here who has something to tell you,” and the crowd collectively claps their hands in glee, anticipating a fight, a baby reveal, or at least somebody’s world to be crushed and life to be flipped upside down.

That is precisely what Howie Mandel tried to do- except it was (A) a podcast, and (B) Bill Burr in his mid-50s and Billy Corgan in his late 50s.

These guys are a little old for paternity-test theatrics. They both have zero hair. Nobody’s going to throw a folding chair. So what was the fucking endgame?

Apparently, Mandel believed he was staging the feel-good (or super dramatic) reveal of the year.

Instead, Bill Burr looked at him like, “What the fuck is wrong with you?” and Billy Corgan was all, “I thought you were in on this, Bill.”

    Giphy Images.

    It was beyond awkward.

Cue Burr basically calling out Howie for being a total tool, with Corgan nodding along like, “Yeah, this is kinda messed up.”

Imagine learning you might be half-siblings on a lame fucking has-been’s podcast, with cameras rolling and some random emotional piano music tinkling in the background.

This is straight-up Maury Povich territory. All that’s missing is an envelope and a crowd chanting, “You are the father!”

Howie basically tried to go full “Daytime TV Circus.” The difference is that Maury would’ve at least cut to a commercial break before the meltdown. Howie just leaves the room so the potential half-brothers can “bond.”

Next thing you know, the Mandel’s daughter vacates, and Billy Bush wanders in to apologize for having hair?

Bizarre doesn’t even begin to describe it all.

I’m a skeptic. We know Bill Burr has a new special, and Billy Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins supposedly have something in the works.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t suspect there’s some top-secret Netflix docu-series in the pipeline. “Me & My Maybe-Bro: A Burr-Corgan Story.”  The two bald, pale, sometimes-angry redheads find out they were separated by a traveling musician father. They hug it out in a final scene scored by an acoustic version of “1979.”

If not, then it better make for some legendary material from Burr in his next special.

And he better fucking torch Howie Mandel for this. Either way.

The guy is a germaphobe legend in his own mind, from game shows and America’s Got Talent. Suddenly he’s out here ambushing his guests with potential paternal bombs. That’s some next-level asshole move.

Butttttt, it would be kind of cool if these two ended up being related via a deadbeat father. The material alone that Burr will have about his weirdo half-brother will be gold.

In a shocking turn of events, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan revealed on Howie Mandel’s show this week that he believes comedian Bill Burr is his long-lost half-brother. The two came face-to-face for the first time on the show, where Corgan confronted Burr about their possible familial connection.

Corgan explained that he had recently taken a DNA test that revealed a potential match with Burr, leading him to believe that they may share a father. The musician expressed his desire to finally meet his supposed half-brother and get to know him better.

Burr seemed taken aback by the revelation but was open to exploring the possibility of their relationship. The two men shared a heartfelt moment on the show, discussing their similarities and differences, and ultimately agreeing to further investigate their connection.

Fans of both Corgan and Burr were shocked by the unexpected family drama unfolding on national television. Only time will tell if the two will discover the truth about their shared bloodline, but for now, this unlikely pair has captured the attention of the entertainment world.

  • Kansas basketball’s Bill Self calls TCU altercation ‘asinine’, claims Hunter Dickinson wanted ‘street cred’

College basketball has officially reached the halfway point of the season, and fans are starting to get a clear picture of what each team is made of—identifying the contenders from the pretenders.

The Big 12 is one of the toughest conferences in the nation, with teams like Iowa State, Houston, West Virginia, and Kansas leading the charge. Even the middle-tier teams in this conference are capable of pulling off upsets against higher-ranked opponents.

So far, the Kansas Jayhawks are 14-4 on the season, with some tough losses to Iowa State, West Virginia, Creighton, and Missouri. Three of the four losses were on the road. At times, the Jayhawks have struggled with inconsistency on offense, which ultimately led to their defeat on the road at Iowa State last week.

On Wednesday night, Kansas faced TCU on the road in a game that lived up to its chippy reputation. It was the five-year anniversary of their well-known brawl, and an altercation between the teams flared up once again. This time, the incident occurred when Hunter Dickinson got tied up for a jump ball. After the whistle blew, Dickinson refused to release the ball, challenging three opponents as the tension escalated. The confrontation spilled near the wall behind the basket, and TCU players had to intervene to get their teammate to let go.

As a result, Dickinson was assessed a technical foul for his role in the altercation. After the game, Kansas head coach Bill Self didn’t hold back when addressing his fifth-year senior’s actions.

“I thought it was asinine that our guy would hang onto the ball,” Self said, clearly frustrated. “I guess maybe in some world provides more street cred.”

Self’s disappointment was evident, and this isn’t the first time Dickinson has found himself in a controversial situation—he was ejected earlier this season in a game against Duke.

Kansas basketball coach Bill Self spoke out about the altercation that occurred during the team’s game against TCU, calling it “asinine” and suggesting that TCU player Hunter Dickinson was seeking “street cred.”

During the heated matchup, tensions flared between players on both teams, ultimately resulting in a scuffle that needed to be broken up by officials. Self was visibly frustrated by the incident, stating that there was no place for such behavior on the court.

Self went on to claim that Dickinson’s actions were motivated by a desire to bolster his reputation among his peers. “It’s clear to me that Dickinson was trying to prove something out there, maybe trying to earn some street cred with his teammates or the fans,” Self said. “But that kind of behavior has no place in the game of basketball.”

Self made it clear that he would address the incident with his team and reinforce the importance of maintaining composure and sportsmanship at all times. “We take pride in representing Kansas basketball with class and integrity,” Self added. “Any behavior to the contrary will not be tolerated.”

As the Jayhawks look to move forward from the altercation, Self emphasized the need for his players to remain focused on their goals and continue to strive for success on the court.

  • Bill Self gives his biggest key to beating Houston, talks student section support and more

Kansas and Houston are set to clash inside of Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday evening in a game that could have major ramifications in the Big 12 title race. KU enters the contest two games back of Houston with a 5-2 record in conference play while the Cougars are 7-0. Houston has been riding a strong wave over the last seven weeks and the Cougars haven’t lost a game since November. Their 11-game winning streak is the second-longest active streak in college basketball.

KU and Houston split the home and home series last year. The Jayhawks were underdogs in the home game last year but ended up winning the contest 78-65 behind an incredibly efficient game on offense. In the return game, KU was blown out by Houston, 76-46.

On Friday, Bill Self was asked what the biggest key to the game is for KU. He didn’t hesitate before he answered.

“I’d say, rebound the ball,” Self said. “They’re plus seven (rebounds per game), I think, for the year, but those three big guys can really rebound the ball. And then they’ve got other guys that go as well.”

Houston is one of the better rebounding teams in the nation. The Cougars are a middle of the pack team on the defensive glass and grab around 70 percent of opposing misses. Where they are elite is on the offensive end, where they grab 38.3 percent of their misses, which ranks No. 11 nationally. Joseph Tugler (2.7 offensive rebounds per game) and J’Wan Roberts (2.6 per game) are the leading threats on the glass for Houston.

In terms of raw numbers, Houston has an average rebounding margin of +6.3 per game compared to its opponents.

Even with that said, Houston has the No. 1 defense in the nation in several key metrics like effective field goal percentage, 2-point percentage and block rate.

Self said KU will need to be smart on the offensive end of the floor.

“You’re going to have to be able to attack and play behind their pressure,” Self said. “We’ve got to be patient enough and aggressive enough to understand that we’re going to have to create some situations that force them into long closeouts or mistakes and then play behind that as opposed to just trying to come down and go one on one and score.”

In a recent press conference, Kansas Jayhawks head coach Bill Self discussed his team’s upcoming matchup against the Houston Cougars and shared his biggest key to securing a victory.

Self emphasized the importance of strong defense and rebounding against a tough Houston team known for its physicality and strong presence in the paint. He stressed the need for his players to box out and limit second-chance opportunities for the Cougars, as well as to disrupt their offensive flow with tenacious on-ball defense.

In addition to discussing X’s and O’s, Self also praised the support of the Jayhawks’ student section, noting that their energy and enthusiasm can make a significant impact on the team’s performance. He encouraged fans to bring their A-game and create a raucous atmosphere at Allen Fieldhouse to help propel the Jayhawks to victory.

As the game approaches, all eyes will be on Self and his team as they look to execute his game plan and emerge victorious against a formidable Houston squad. With strong defense, rebounding, and support from the home crowd, the Jayhawks are poised to come out on top in this highly anticipated matchup.

  • Bill introduced to rename Dulles International Airport after President Trump

The airport was named after John Foster Dulles when it opened in Northern Virginia in 1962.

DULLES, Va. — A Congressman has introduced a bill to rename Washington Dulles Airport in Northern Virginia after President Donald Trump, as the House GOP rounds out its first workweek with Trump as the 47th president.

Rep. Addison McDowell, a North Carolina Republican introduced, H.R. 691 on Thursday. The bill, “to designate Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia as ‘Donald J. Trump International Airport,’” was referred to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

A bill to rename Dulles after President Trump had been introduced in March 2024 by Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-Pa.), but with a Democratic president and a Democrat-controlled senate, the bill faced an uncertain future and died in committee.

Now, with the Republicans gaining control of the White House and both chambers of Congress in January, a bill to rename Dulles Airport to Trump Airport has a much clearer path to becoming law.

The bill has four Republican cosponsors, including Rep. Reschenthaler. The other cosponsors were representatives from Texas, West Virginia and Georgia.

Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (D-Va.) represents the district that includes Dulles Airport. On Saturday, Subramanyam criticized Republican efforts to rename Dulles Airport after President Trump, urging a focus on real issues like supporting working families and schools.

“It’s disappointing, but entirely unsurprising, that House Republicans would rather focus their efforts on renaming airports to honor their dear leader than tackling the real issues facing Americans,” Subramanyam, stated.

The airport was named after John Foster Dulles when it opened in Northern Virginia in 1962. Dulles served as President Dwight Eisenhower’s secretary of state form 1953 until his death in 1959, overseeing a buildup of the United States’ overseas alliances and support anti-Communist regimes during the Cold War.

There are six major airports renamed after U.S. Presidents, although all six had changed their names after their namesake presidents had left office. John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York was the first that had been renamed after a U.S. President, just weeks after the 35th president was assassinated in 1963.

Here’s a list of the six major airports named after U.S. Presidents, and the years they were renamed:

    – Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita, Kan. (2014)

    – Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, Ark. (2012)

    – Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Mich. (1999)

    – Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Crystal City, Va. (1998)

    – George H.W. Bush International Airport in Houston, Texas (1997)

    – John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (1963)

In a surprising move, a bill has been introduced in Congress to rename Dulles International Airport in Virginia after former President Donald Trump. The bill, proposed by a Republican lawmaker, aims to honor Trump’s accomplishments during his time in office.

If passed, the airport would be known as Trump International Airport at Dulles, a change that has sparked controversy and debate among lawmakers and the public. Supporters argue that renaming the airport would be a fitting tribute to Trump’s presidency, while opponents believe it would be a divisive and politically motivated decision.

The proposal is still in its early stages, and it remains to be seen whether it will gain enough support to become a reality. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

  • Mississippi bill would let bounty hunters hunt undocumented migrants

Mississippi lawmakers are considering a controversial bill that would allow bounty hunters to hunt down undocumented migrants in the state. The proposed legislation has sparked outrage among immigrant rights advocates, who argue that it would lead to racial profiling and violate the civil rights of immigrants.

If passed, the bill would permit bounty hunters to track down and apprehend undocumented migrants for a cash reward. Supporters of the bill claim that it would help crack down on illegal immigration and alleviate the burden on law enforcement agencies.

However, opponents argue that the bill would only serve to further marginalize and target vulnerable immigrant communities. They fear that it would create a dangerous environment where undocumented migrants are afraid to seek help or report crimes for fear of being detained.

The debate over the bill highlights the ongoing tensions surrounding immigration policy in the United States. As lawmakers continue to grapple with how to address the issue, it is clear that any legislation that targets immigrants must be carefully weighed to ensure that it upholds the values of fairness and justice for all.
