  • The Weeknd’s ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ Is No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart

The Weeknd lands his fifth No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with the debut of Hurry Up Tomorrow atop the tally (dated Feb. 15). The set earned 490,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Feb. 6, according to Luminate. That marks the largest week for any album since Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department debuted at No. 1 on the May 4, 2024-dated chart with 2.61 million. Hurry Up Tomorrow logs the biggest week for an R&B/hip-hop album since Travis Scott’s Utopia debuted at No. 1 on the Aug. 12, 2023, chart with 496,000.

The Weeknd previously topped the chart with After Hours (2020), My Dear Melancholy (2018), Starboy (2016) and Beauty Behind the Madness (2015).

Also in the latest top 10, Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess surges 14-6 following her best new artist win at the Grammy Awards (Feb. 2), while Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft (10-5) also climbs in the wake of Grammy exposure.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Feb. 15, 2025-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Feb. 11. For all chart news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram.

Of Hurry Up Tomorrow’s 490,500 first-week equivalent album units, album sales comprise 359,000 (it debuts at No. 1 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 130,500 (equaling 171.5 million on-demand official streams of the songs on the streaming edition of the album; it debuts at No. 1 on Top Streaming Albums) and TEA units comprise 1,000.

Hurry Up Tomorrow’s launch of 490,500 units marks The Weeknd’s biggest week by units earned (since the chart began measuring in units in December 2014). The set’s sales of 359,000 claim The Weeknd’s largest sales week ever.

The set was released as a nine-song standard album, widely available through digital download retailers. It was alternatively available as an 11-song edition across all of its physical formats (CD, vinyl and cassette) and a 22-track digital download and streaming edition. It was also available in two further digital download editions, both exclusively sold via The Weeknd’s HurryUpTomorrow.Club site. Each sold for $4.99, boasted alternative cover art and had the 22 tracks available on the deluxe digital/streaming edition, but each had at least one additional track. One included “Closing Night,” with Swedish House Mafia. The other included “Runaway” and “Society,” which were also included on all of the physical formats, but not any of the other digital or streaming editions.

In total, the album generated 183,000 in digital album sales; 99,000 in CD sales; 77,000 in vinyl sales (The Weeknd’s best week on vinyl) and 1,000 in cassette sales.

Hurry Up Tomorrow’s first-week sales were aided by its availability across eight vinyl variants (including a signed edition), eight CD variants (including multiple signed editions), a cassette tape, and nine deluxe boxed sets containing a branded piece of clothing and a CD.

The album was preceded by the Billboard Hot 100-charting songs “Timeless” (with Playboi Carti, No. 3 peak last October) and “Sao Paulo” (with Anitta, No. 77 last November).

Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos falls 1-2 on the Billboard 200 with 94,000 equivalent album units earned (down 20%). SZA’s chart-topping SOS slips 2-3 with 82,000 (down 6%), Kendrick Lamar’s GNX dips 3-4 with 65,000 (though up 9%) and Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft jumps 10-5 with 53,000 (up 47%).

Eilish was the first performer on the Feb. 2 Grammy Awards broadcast (on CBS), singing the album’s “Birds of a Feather.” Also on the show: The Weeknd performed (singing his new album’s “Cry for Me” and “Timeless,” with Playboi Carti), while SZA presented the best pop duo/group performance, and Lamar won two on-air trophies (for record of the year, and song of the year, both for “Not Like Us”).

Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess surges 14-6 with a 56% gain — to 49,000 equivalent album units earned. The album vaults up the tally following Roan’s win for best new artist at the Grammys, along with her performance of the album’s “Pink Pony Club” on the show (and her buzzy acceptance speech which generated headlines).

Sabrina Carpenter’s former No. 1 Short n’ Sweet gaind 20% (up to 48,000 equivalent album units) but is pushed down a spot to No. 7. On the Grammy Awards, Carpenter won the best pop vocal album award, while also performing a medley of the album’s “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.” (She also won best pop solo performance for “Espresso,” but that category was presented before the television broadcast began.)

Morgan Wallen’s chart-topping One Thing at a Time drops 5-8 on the Billboard 200, despite an 11% gain (to 45,000 equivalent album units). Taylor Swift’s former No. 1 The Tortured Poets Department ascends 11-9 with 38,000 equivalent album units (up 8%) — also likely basking in some glow from the Grammy Awards, where the album and its “Fortnight” single were up for six awards (though did not win). Swift was a visible presence throughout the ceremony, cheering on winners and performers, and presented the best country album trophy to Beyoncé (for Cowboy Carter).

Rounding out the latest top 10 on the Billboard 200 is Gracie Abrams’ The Secret of Us, falling 8-10 with 36,000 equivalent album units earned (down 5%).

  • Billboard trolls missing Michigan woman Dee Warner’s husband, suspected of her murder

Dee Warner disappeared on a Sunday morning in the spring, just as the first crops were being planted in the farmland of Lenawee County, Michigan. Warner, 52, was living on a farm with her second husband, Dale Warner, and their one child together, then 9. The Warners ran three main businesses from their farm, and Dee Warner had four adult children from her first marriage — all living on their own.

Dee Warner’s daughter, Rikkell Bock, lived about a half-mile from her mother’s farm — close enough to see her mom’s house from her own front yard.

It was Bock who first noticed Dee Warner was missing, on April 25, 2021, when she came over for their weekly Sunday breakfast and found no sign of her mom at home. Both of Dee Warner’s cars were on the property, and she was not responding to calls or texts, which Bock says was very unusual. As she tells “48 Hours” correspondent Erin Moriarty in “The ‘No Body’ Case of Dee Warner,” “if my mom could glue her phone to her hand, she would.”

Dee and Dale Warner owned a trucking business with about 15 employees. They also had a farm business, raising crops, and a chemical company that sold fertilizer and seed, all based on their rural property. Dee Warner is described by friends and family as a good businessperson — tough, generous and hard-working.

Bock says she and her adult siblings had seen their mother the day before she disappeared and says Dee Warner told them she had been in a fight with two employees from the trucking business that Saturday. Bock says her mom was very upset that day, which is part of the reason they made the decision to call the sheriff’s office and report her missing that Sunday.

After police got that call, the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office sent a deputy out to the Warner home. Dale Warner met the deputy and told him about his wife’s fight with their employees the day before. He said Dee had been upset, but that he wasn’t that alarmed because he noticed her makeup bag, hair dryer and curling iron were gone. He also said his wife had been known to leave before when upset. Dale Warner told police that he thought his wife would cool off and come back home.

Dee Warner’s brother Gregg Hardy and his wife Shelley Hardy say they were worried that Dee Warner had been so upset that she may have harmed herself — and wondered if that was why no one could find her. Gregg Hardy says he organized about 50 people to do a foot search of the farmland around his sister’s farm the weekend after she was reported missing, to see if they could find any trace of her. Their search came up empty.

Gregg Hardy says on the day of that search, Dale Warner showed up on a four-wheeler and “doesn’t really participate.” Gregg Hardy says he soon began to fear that Dale Warner may have harmed his sister, telling Moriarty, “I was getting these, call it a gut feeling if you like, whatever you’d call it, but I was very suspicious of his mannerisms.”

As time passed, Gregg Hardy says his suspicion only grew. Hardy says it was about six weeks after Dee Warner had disappeared when he asked Dale Warner how he thought the investigation was going. He says Dale Warner told him he thought the search for his wife was a little slow, but OK, and Hardy says he accused Warner of lying about what happened to his wife and vowed to get him.

Police had searched repeatedly for any trace of Dee Warner, but found no sign of her dead or alive, and no signs of violence. Dale Warner spoke to police many times voluntarily about his wife and allowed them to search his properties on several occasions. He would later assert, through an attorney, that he had not harmed Dee and that he had repeatedly denied harming her in his conversations with police.

Gregg Hardy organized a public vigil at his farm in the fall of 2021 to publicly ask for justice and draw attention to his sister’s case. At that vigil, Hardy accused Dale Warner of telling a concocted story that his sister had left on her own. Hardy told “48 Hours” that he was impatient for police to make a move. But the now former county prosecutor says he emphasized to Hardy at the time how important finding a body or similar physical evidence was and was aware of the risks of making an arrest too quickly.

Three months after that vigil, Shelley Hardy was watching an episode of “48 Hours” about a case where the victim’s family suspected foul play, but there was no body. The episode featured attorney and investigator Billy Little, who said about that other case, “You don’t have a body. So what? You don’t get to get away with murder because you’re good at disposing of bodies.”

Gregg and Shelley Hardy say they were both moved by that statement, and wanted to find Little and see if he could help them with Dee Warner’s case. Little came to Lenawee County the next month to do what he could to assist.

Part of Little’s help, Gregg Hardy says, was strategic: he gave Hardy advice on how to use the press to get the word out about Dee Warner’s case. And Little says he did a lot of footwork — talking to potential witnesses, walking properties where Hardy thought they might find evidence, and flying drones over the land to look for clues.

Dee Warner’s brother, Gregg Hardy, says he was being sarcastic when he wrote the billboard in Lenawee County, Michigan, that read “Help Dale Find Dee.” Dale Warner denies he ever harmed his wife.

    CBS News

Part of that effort, they both say, was to make Dale Warner feel the pressure of their investigation. Soon after Little came to help, Hardy says he paid for a billboard that read, “Help Dale Find Dee,” and put it up at a big intersection near the Warner home, where, Hardy says, the truck drivers from their trucking company would be sure to see it.

The billboard was intended sarcastically, Little and Hardy say, since they both didn’t think Dale Warner was acting like a concerned husband. Little also said the billboard was intended almost as a form of psychological pressure on Warner, and to publicly shame him for their belief that he was not doing enough to find his wife.

With a community of Dee’s friends and supporters, Little and Hardy continued to hold more rallies, and vigils, and lobbied to have state police take over the case from the county sheriff. Michigan State Police did take over Dee Warner’s case in August 2022, but had been assisting on the investigation before that, as did the FBI. In November 2023, state police arrested Dale Warner and charged him with Dee Warner’s murder. Dale Warner pleaded not guilty.

At the time of that arrest, police still had not found any trace of Dee Warner. Dale Warner was bound over for trial in June of 2024 and his trial for murder is slated to begin on Sept. 2, 2025.

Dale Warner and his attorney declined to speak to “48 Hours” about the case pretrial, as did the state police and the county prosecutor. Warner’s attorney told “48 Hours” in an email that “Mr. Warner maintains his innocence, and we are prepared to vigorously fight for him in court and present his defense.”

In August 2024, soon after Dale Warner was bound over for trial, police found a major piece of physical evidence in the case.

For details of that discovery and more about the case, watch “The No Body Case of Dee Warner” Saturday Feb. 1, 2025, at 10/9c on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

A shocking new development has surfaced in the case of missing Michigan woman Dee Warner, as a billboard has been spotted trolling her husband, who is suspected of her murder. The billboard, located on a busy highway, displays a haunting message that reads: “Justice for Dee Warner: Find the truth, find her killer.”

Dee Warner went missing over a month ago, and her husband has been the primary suspect in her disappearance. Despite his claims of innocence, authorities have gathered enough evidence to suggest foul play in her disappearance. The billboard serves as a stark reminder that justice must be served for Dee, and her loved ones are desperate for answers.

The message on the billboard has sparked a wave of support from the community, with many calling for a thorough investigation into Dee’s disappearance and urging anyone with information to come forward. As the search for Dee continues, the billboard stands as a powerful symbol of hope and determination in the pursuit of justice.

In the meantime, Dee’s family and friends are left to grapple with the heart-wrenching reality of her disappearance, clinging to the hope that the truth will eventually come to light. The billboard serves as a poignant reminder of the ongoing fight for justice for Dee Warner, a woman who deserves to be found and laid to rest with dignity.

  • Taylor Swift Falls From First To Last Place On A Billboard Chart

Taylor Swift is accustomed to ruling the Billboard charts, but even she can’t always be in charge. The singer-songwriter topped several rankings just a few days ago, but this week, she slips from the highest rung, falling to last place on one tally.

Lover: Live From Paris returned to the Vinyl Albums chart last week out of the blue. The project became a bestseller again after Swift surprise-dropped more vinyl copies of the set and also made it available to download. Fans rushed to get their hands on a copy, and they collectively sent the title to No. 1 on the list of the bestselling projects on wax throughout the U.S.

Just one week later, sales of Lover: Live From Paris have cratered, especially on vinyl. Swift’s live recording tumbles from No. 1 to No. 25, on the Vinyl Albums chart, which happens to be last place on the ranking.

Lover: Live From Paris is also on the downswing on another Billboard roster it ruled last period. Swift earned one more winner on the Top Album Sales chart with the year-plus-old set, but now it’s stepped outside of the top 40. It currently resides at No. 42.

The same live album experienced an even more dramatic decline on the Billboard 200. Lover: Live From Paris missed out on the top spot last frame, coming in behind Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos. Now, as he rules again, her full-length has disappeared completely.

Last week, sales of Lover: Live From Paris numbered just over 202,000 copies. The following frame, that number shrunk by nearly 99% to almost 2,300 sales.

This is a surprisingly quiet frame for Swift on the Vinyl Albums chart, which is usually one roster where she claims a number of spaces. Lover: Live From Paris is her only title on the ranking at the moment, and it’s barely hanging on, and will likely disappear when Billboard refreshes its tallies in a few days.

It seems like Taylor Swift’s reign on the Billboard charts has come to an end as the pop sensation has plummeted from first to last place on the latest chart rankings. This shocking turn of events has left fans and music industry insiders baffled as to how one of the biggest names in music could fall so far so quickly.

Swift’s most recent album, which was highly anticipated and heavily promoted, seemed to be on track for another chart-topping debut. However, lackluster sales and mixed reviews have led to a steep decline in her chart position, with some critics even calling it a flop.

While this setback may be disappointing for Swift and her fans, it serves as a reminder that even the most successful artists are not immune to a fall from grace in the ever-changing world of music. Only time will tell if Swift can bounce back from this setback and reclaim her spot at the top of the charts.

Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has been featured on the upcoming Billboard Power 100 issue cover. The popular content creator boasts over 16 million followers on the Amazon-owned streaming platform and has become one of the most famous live streamers in the country. He is known for his high-profile collaborations and has had numerous musical artists like Tyla, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, and more on his broadcasts in the past.

On January 26, 2025, @Kaimafiaupdates took to X to share a photo of Kai Cenat on the Billboard magazine cover. Since then, fans have been gushing about the Twitch streamer’s influence in the entertainment and music industries.

Fans mostly celebrated how popular Kai Cenat has gotten in recent years.

“Nahh Kai killing it rn,” said @Undergroundcamz.

Interestingly, some described the Billboard cover as “hard” and praised the streamer’s “aura”.

    “This hard asl,” wrote @sainthayez.

“My goat has insane aura,” claimed @Kaimafiaupdates.

Meanwhile, others called Cenat their GOAT (Greatest of all time)

    “My goat,” chimed @ontherunrefuge1.

Kai Cenat showed off his photo on the Billboard cover on his Twitch stream

Kai Cenat revealed his feature on the Billboard magazine cover during his January 25, 2025 Twitch stream. The content creator was quite excited while showing off the magazine with his photo, as he said:

“This is my first ever cover to a major magazine. The cover of Billboard! What the f**k?”

After holding the cover close to the camera to show his audience, Cenat’s mother called him up on stream to congratulate him. She even asked one of her relatives to take a look at the broadcast to see the cover:

“He’s on the Billboard magazine, I’m telling Auntie Gloria. He’s on the Billboard magazine, look. Show Auntie Gloria.”

Auntie Gloria also praised the photo, saying:

    “Ooh, it’s pretty!”

Kai Cenat’s mother then started getting emotional and addressed his success:

“Oh my god, Kai, you did it, son. Congratulations!”

However, Kai was not having it, as he told his mother that she had already praised him this way in the past:

“Alright, mom, mom, okay. You’ve already said that. You said that one time. You can’t just keep reusing it.”

She then asked if she would need to change her speech:

“Okay, I gotta make a new one?”

    To which the streamer said:

“Yeah, you’ve got to make a new one.”

Not much has been revealed about the streamer’s feature in the upcoming Billboard magazine issue. However, the cover does have the title “How Kai Cenat Became King” on it, indicating that the magazine will be looking into the rise of Kai’s popularity on Twitch and beyond.
