  • Justin Baldoni’s wife Emily breaks her silence to wish him a happy 41st birthday amid Blake Lively legal fight

Justin Baldoni‘s wife Emily broke her silence to wish him a happy 41st birthday – amid his legal fight against Blake Lively.

Emily shared a sweet snap of her and Justin with their two children: Maiya, nine, and Maxwell, seven.

‘Happy birthday my love. Celebrating the man, husband, and father that you are. I’d choose you again and again.’

The family of four have been on holiday in Hawaii, and it appears the photo is from their current vacation.

In the snap, Emily and Justin share a kiss as he holds Maxwell on his shoulders and Maiya cuddles them.

The sweet note comes after his lawyers hit back at Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds’ gag order and claims she started a ‘media feeding frenzy’ – amid their lawsuits.

The legal fight erupted just before Christmas when the glamorous blonde, 37, sued It Ends With Us co-star Baldoni, 41 for sexual harassment.

At the same time, the New York Times released a story based on Lively’s legal filing that accused him of orchestrating a negative publicity campaign against her and put the small claim front and center.

In turn, Baldoni sued the Times for defamation and launched a $400m lawsuit against Lively and her husband Reynolds that accused her of using her celebrity power to hijack his film and attempt to torpedo his career.

After Lively and Reynolds asked for a protective order Tuesday against Baldoni’s legal team, the same day a bombshell video was released by lead attorney Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s attorney Kevin Fritz has branded the proposed order an ‘intimidation tactic.’

In a letter dated January 23 and obtained by People, Fritz asks for the judge to deny the order, writing Lively’s ‘desire to force the Wayfarer Parties to defend themselves privately against allegations made publicly is not a proper basis for a gag order. It is tactical gamesmanship, and it is outrageous.’

Fritz says Baldoni and his colleagues at Wayfarer Studios have been ‘exiled from polite society and suffered damages totaling hundreds of millions of dollars’ as a result of Lively’s lawsuit.

They say Baldoni faced ‘utterly calamitous fallout, and they ‘instantly became objects of public scorn and contempt.’

Fritz claims Lively ignited a ‘media feeding frenzy’ by allegedly giving the New York Times a copy of her complaint for their article.

This comes after DailyMail.com revealed Lively and Reynolds will be subpoenaed for all texts, emails, and messages sent about Baldoni and the film It Ends With Us ‘imminently’.

The high-flying Hollywood couple were both named as defendants in a blockbuster lawsuit filed by the actor earlier this month, which could see them facing a $400million payout if he prevails.

Both Lively and Reynolds along with their PR supremo Leslie Sloane, are also being hit with deposition requests which will see the pair ordered to provide hours of testimony and be quizzed by Baldoni’s lawyers.

A source familiar with the proceedings told DailyMail.com: ‘Unequivocally yes, all parties should be aware that they will be subpoenaed and deposed imminently’.

The impending subpoenas are a further sign that the gloves are coming off in the epic legal battle between glamorous blonde Lively and saturnine director Baldoni.

They claimed Freedman is ‘violating court rules that stop a lawyer from making statements to the press that are irrelevant to a case and might prejudice the jury.’

They specifically mention the release of the unedited footage.

Sources close to Baldoni told DailyMail.com they believe it’s ‘grossly unfair to impose a gag order after Justin has been defamed by the New York Times in an article that they say has cost him three jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars.

‘All Justin wants to do is release videos and text messages to prove the allegations are false.

‘It is unbelievable that Blake Lively would go on a takedown campaign against Justin and then immediately turn around and say she wants a gag order so that Justin can’t defend himself.’

This comes after Lively broke her silence on the unedited footage.

‘Justin Baldoni and his lawyer may hope that this latest stunt will get ahead of the damaging evidence against him, but the video itself is damning,’ her legal team shared in a statement with DailyMail.com.

Her team claims the video ‘shows Mr. Baldoni repeatedly leaning in toward Ms. Lively, attempting to kiss her, kissing her forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, flicking her lip with his thumb, caressing her, telling her how good she smells, and talking with her out of character.’

‘Every frame of the released footage corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her Complaint.’

Lively’s lawyer also added that none of the intimacy shown in the video from the film — which Baldoni directed and starred in alongside Lively — was choreographed.

‘Every moment of this was improvised by Mr. Baldoni with no discussion or consent in advance, and no intimacy coordinator present.’

‘Mr. Baldoni was not only Ms. Lively’s co-star, but the director, the head of studio and Ms. Lively’s boss.’

Lively’s legal team claims that her ‘leaning away’ from Baldoni during the scene was not acting, and that the clips shows her ‘repeatedly asking for the characters to just talk.’

‘Any woman who has been inappropriately touched in the workplace will recognize Ms. Lively’s discomfort.’

‘They will recognize her attempts at levity to try to deflect the unwanted touching. No woman should have to take defensive measures to avoid being touched by their employer without their consent.’

The legal fight erupted just before Christmas when Lively, 37, sued It Ends With Us co-star Baldoni, 41 for sexual harassment

Her team claims that releasing the video to the media ‘is another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public’ and ‘a continuation of their harassment and retaliatory campaign.’

‘We are continuing our efforts to require Mr. Baldoni and his associates to answer in court, under oath, rather than through manufactured media stunts,’ her lawyer stated.

It was one of the biggest bombshells in a lawsuit packed full of them – that Baldoni sexually harassed Lively while filming a dance scene by dragging his lips down her neck and telling her ‘it smells so good’.

In her civil rights complaint filed last month, the actress insisted nobody overheard the comment because the romantic montage was silent and the microphones were switched off.

But DailyMail.com has exclusively obtained an explosive video where Baldoni’s sound equipment was switched on, showing all three takes.

The tapes show how friendly the two stars were before it all went so wrong. They laugh and joke around – even joshing about the size of Baldoni’s nose and talk about how they spend their time with their spouses.

They include a complete record of the conversation in question at around the seven-minute mark that makes clear the comment about her smelling so good was in response to Lively talking about her spray tan as they film a romantic dance.

Baldoni tells Lively he’s probably getting his beard on her and she responds by saying she’s probably getting spray tan on him. Then he quips back ‘it smells good’ before both laugh and she tells him the scent actually comes from her body makeup.

And while the montage does indeed show Baldoni nuzzling Lively’s neck as part of the scene in which they play lovers, the conversation between them is all business with the pair spending most of it talking about lighting and their other halves.

The clip, which is raw footage shot while filming It Ends With Us, comes complete with audio and was passed to DailyMail.com by the actor’s production company Wayfarer and his lawyer Bryan Freedman who has previously said Baldoni has ‘nothing to hide’.

DailyMail.com’s exclusive footage is the latest revelation in a lengthy saga that began with rumors of rancor behind the scenes of It Ends With Us when it was released last August.

Justin Baldoni’s wife, Emily, has broken her silence to wish her husband a happy 41st birthday amidst his legal battle with Blake Lively. In an emotional Instagram post, Emily shared a heartfelt message expressing her love and support for Justin during this challenging time.

“Happy birthday to my amazing husband, Justin,” Emily wrote. “I am so grateful to have you in my life and I love you more than words can express. You are the strongest, most compassionate person I know, and I have no doubt that you will overcome any obstacle that comes your way.”

Justin has been embroiled in a legal dispute with actress Blake Lively over a business deal gone wrong. Despite the controversy, Emily has stood by her husband’s side and is standing strong in her support for him.

“Justin, you are my rock and my best friend,” Emily continued. “I know that we will get through this together, and I am so proud of the person you are. Here’s to many more birthdays together, my love. I love you to the moon and back.”

Fans of the couple were touched by Emily’s heartfelt message and flooded the comments with messages of support and well-wishes for Justin on his special day. It’s clear that Emily’s unwavering love and support mean the world to Justin as he navigates this difficult time.

  • Justin Baldoni’s Wife Emily Shares Birthday Tribute amid Blake Lively Lawsuits

Justin Baldoni’s wife Emily broke her silence amid his heated legal battle with Blake Lively in order to publicly wish him a happy birthday.

The It Ends With Us director-actor turned 41 on Friday, Jan. 24, and Emily, 40, paid tribute to him on Instagram, writing alongside a family photo: “Happy birthday my love. Celebrating the man, husband, and father that you are. I’d choose you again and again.”

Baldoni has been vacationing in Hawaii in recent days with Emily, whom he married in 2013, and their two kids, Maiya, 9, and Maxwell, 7.

In December, Lively, 37, sued Justin, accusing him of sexual harassment and orchestrating a retaliatory smear campaign against her. Bryan Freedman, a lawyer for Baldoni, has called her allegations “false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt.”

Filed months after rumors of behind-the-scenes strife on the set of the adaptation of the Colleen Hoover novel began, Lively’s complaint claimed that the actress “suffered from grief, fear, trauma, and extreme anxiety” due to Justin’s alleged actions, which included “invasive, unwelcome, unprofessional and sexually inappropriate behavior.”

In turn, Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, 48, and their publicist, claiming defamation and extortion.

Lively’s lawyers called the lawsuit “meritless” and “another chapter in the abuser playbook,” adding, “The strategy of attacking the woman is desperate, it does not refute the evidence in Ms. Lively’s complaint, and it will fail.”

After his lawsuit made headlines, Baldoni was approached by TMZ at the Los Angeles International Airport on Jan. 17 while traveling with his wife and kids. When asked how he was doing, he said, “Grateful to be with the family, man. We have amazing friends and family. And faith.”

Lively has not been spotted in public since the lawsuits, though Reynolds attended the National Board of Review gala on Jan. 7, spoke to students at Harvard Business School, and made a surprise appearance at friend Hugh Jackman’s opening night at Radio City on Jan. 24.

In a heartwarming birthday tribute, Justin Baldoni’s wife Emily shared a sweet message on social media amidst the ongoing lawsuits involving their close friend Blake Lively. Despite the legal battles, Emily took to Instagram to express her love and admiration for her husband, highlighting his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.

In her post, Emily praised Justin for his dedication to his family and his commitment to creating a positive impact in the world. She also thanked him for being a loving partner and a wonderful father to their children.

The birthday tribute comes at a challenging time for the couple, as they navigate the complexities of the legal system and support their friend Blake Lively through her own struggles. Despite the hardships, Emily’s message serves as a reminder of the strength and resilience of their relationship, and the importance of standing by each other through thick and thin.

As the world continues to watch the legal drama unfold, Emily’s heartfelt tribute to Justin Baldoni is a touching reminder of the power of love and friendship in the face of adversity. It serves as a beacon of hope and positivity in a time of uncertainty, showing that no matter what challenges come their way, the bond between Justin and Emily remains unbreakable.

  • JJ’s Country Music Minute: New Music Friday, Did Jelly Roll Hate Kane Brown?, Blake Shelton’s Biggest Mistake and More

Friday means New Country, and today you get the new album from Kane Brown called “The High Road,” featuring his hit “Miles On It” and his latest single “Backseat Driver.” Also, mom-to-be Lauren Alaina is out with her new single today called “Those Kind of Women.”

Another new single that I got excited about when I first heard about the collaboration is out today. Wherever you listen to music, go find “Place They Call Home” by Castellows featuring Flatland Cavalry.

One of the tracks on Kane Brown’s new album is “Haunted,” featuring Jelly Roll. In a recent interview, Kane told the story about how he believed Jelly Roll hated him, but now they are close friends, play a lot of Call of Duty together, and randomly Facetime each other at 3 am.

As much as Bailey Zimmerman beat himself up about his drunken performance and Crash My Playa and later apologized, some of his country peers are lifting him up and showing him grace. Morgan Wallen said, “I thought you sounded great,” Chase Rice said, “Been there” and Meghan Patrick complimented him for owning it and told him to learn from it and move on.

Blake Shelton is opening up about what he calls one of the biggest mistakes of his life. Blake says it’s the barbed wire tattoo on his left forearm. He swore when he got it in 2005 he’d never get another one; to this day, it’s the only tattoo he has.

  • Megyn Kelly Sides With Justin Baldoni After BTS ‘It Ends With Us’ Footage With Blake Lively: ‘I Actually Disbelieve Her Fully Now’

Megyn Kelly is having a harder and harder time siding with Blake Lively with each new piece of information released amid her and Justin Baldoni’s “It Ends With Us” legal skirmish.

On Wednesday’s episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the host zeroed in on behind-the-scenes footage during production on “It Ends With Us” released by Baldoni and his legal team on Tuesday. The 10-minute footage shows Lively and Baldoni dancing in one of the film’s romantic scenes cited in Lively’s original complaint. The video shows them being flirtatious on camera but speaking and joking around out of character, discussing the scene at hand, since the scene being filmed wasn’t going to have audio.

Baldoni released the footage, claiming it disproves Lively’s complaint that characterized the moment as being riddled with unwanted sexual advances. Lively’s team responded shortly after Wednesday, calling the footage a “manufactured media stunt” that “corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her Complaint.”

“This matter is in active litigation in federal court,” Lively’s statement continued. “Releasing this video to the media, rather than presenting it as evidence in court, is another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public.”

Kelly, however, does not think the footage aligns with how Lively painted the moment in her lawsuit.

On Thursday’s podcast, the host also stated that Lively is trying to place a gag order on Baldoni to stop him from releasing any more to the story from his point of view. The host added that if Lively was telling the truth, she wouldn’t need the gag order.

Watch the full “Megyn Kelly Show” segment below:

“Now that she’s had her shot against him, and she severely damaged him with that New York Times piece in this complaint, which she managed to get leaked, now she wants a complete gag order,” Kelly said. “Now he needs to be shut down to protect her. This is very unfair to poor Blake. Why should Justin be able to release snippets to the media without the full context? That’s what she said. That’s what she did.”

She continued, “I’m just saying this person is not an honest broker. I believe her less than ever. I actually disbelieve her fully now, and they should not be gagged. I will happily participate in releasing any further leaks that they have, because the truth should be out there. What does she have to fear if she’s telling the truth?”

Wednesday’s video is the latest salvo in a weeks-long legal dust-up between the “It Ends With Us” colleagues. Baldoni has already sued the New York Times for $250 million, citing defamation, and stated in a separate lawsuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds that the Nicepool character in “Deadpool & Wolverine” was created to “mock” him.

Lively has accused Baldoni of improvising without an intimacy coordinator “physical intimacy that had not been rehearsed, choreographed or discussed with [her]” and of coercing her into an unplanned nude scene.

Megyn Kelly Sides With Justin Baldoni After BTS ‘It Ends With Us’ Footage With Blake Lively: ‘I Actually Disbelieve Her Fully Now’

In a surprising turn of events, former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly has come out in support of actor Justin Baldoni after behind-the-scenes footage from their new film ‘It Ends With Us’ with Blake Lively was leaked online. The footage showed Lively making some controversial remarks about the film’s message, leading to backlash from fans and fellow cast members.

Kelly took to social media to express her disbelief in Lively’s comments, stating, “I actually disbelieve her fully now. It’s clear that Blake Lively does not understand the important message behind ‘It Ends With Us’ and is not taking her role seriously. Justin Baldoni’s dedication to this project is commendable, and I stand with him in his efforts to bring awareness to such an important issue.”

Fans of the film have been divided on the leaked footage, with some defending Lively’s comments as taken out of context, while others agree with Kelly that her remarks were inappropriate. Regardless, the controversy has only added to the buzz surrounding ‘It Ends With Us’, which is set to be released later this year. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • Blake Lively’s legal team asks judge for hearing following public remarks by Justin Baldoni’s attorney

    CNN
     —

Blake Lively’s lawyers are accusing Justin Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, of publicly making “misleading and selective” statements about Lively and her ongoing legal dispute with Baldoni, and are asking a court for a hearing “to address the appropriate conduct of counsel moving forward.”

Lively’s legal team filed a letter in the Southern District of New York on Tuesday, the same day that Freedman released video footage from the set of “It Ends With Us,” the film at the center of the ongoing legal battle, claiming the footage “refutes” Lively’s characterization of Baldoni’s behavior. Freedman also said Tuesday that they have plans to set up a website containing more correspondence and video footage that they say will discredit Lively’s claims.

In the letter, filed after the video footage was released on Tuesday and obtained by CNN, Lively’s lawyers cite that they previously sent two cease-and-desist letters since she filed her initial complaint with the California Civil Rights Department on December 21. The first of those letters was issued to “The Wayfarer Parties,” which includes members of Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer Studios and members on Baldoni’s publicity team.

The second cease-and-desist was sent “directly to Mr. Freedman,” asking him to stop “making further defamatory, and retaliatory, statements relating to Ms. Lively” and saying that his public statements are “unprotected by the litigation privilege.” In this letter to Freedman, Lively’s legal team sought to issue a reminder that “lawyers are not publicity agents” and that lawyers are “required to follow a different set of professional standards than publicists and crisis managers.”

“Since the Wayfarer Parties and Mr. Freedman received the cease-and-desist letters, they have continued their harassing and retaliatory media campaign, with almost daily media statements or other releases to the press,” read part of the letter that Lively’s legal team filed with the court on Tuesday.

Lively’s lawyers argue that Freedman’s conduct “threatens to, and will, materially prejudice” both Lively’s sexual harassment case and Baldoni’s defamation case “by tainting the jury pool,” and are asking the court to schedule a hearing “to address the appropriate conduct of counsel moving forward in these two related matters.”

They intend to seek a “protective order to govern further proceedings in this case,” but say a hearing is necessary “given the imminent harm caused by Mr. Freedman’s misleading and selective statements and leaks,” according to the letter.

(From left) Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively in 'It Ends With Us.'

CNN has reached out to Freedman and Lively’s representatives, respectively, for comment.

Baldoni and Lively have been in a legal battle that began in December when Lively filed her initial complaint that preceded her civil sexual harassment lawsuit.

In her suit, Lively said that during the filming of “It Ends With Us,” a meeting was held with Baldoni, Lively and various production executives to address a “hostile work environment that had nearly derailed production.” After she raised concerns about “repeated sexual harassment and other disturbing behavior by Mr. Baldoni,” her suit claimed, Baldoni’s PR representatives orchestrated a “social manipulation” campaign intended to hurt her reputation in the media in retaliation.

Baldoni has denied Lively’s allegations. He filed a $250 million libel suit against The New York Times in December, where he claimed the newspaper – who first reported Lively’s CRD complaint – published an accompanying article that was “rife with inaccuracies, misrepresentations, and omissions” that relied on Lively’s “self-serving narrative.”

The New York Times told CNN in a statement at the time that they stand by their reporting, saying, in part, that their story “was meticulously and responsibly reported.”

Baldoni also filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and their publicist Leslie Sloane earlier this month.

At the time, Lively’s lawyer’s told CNN in a statement that Baldoni’s suit “is another chapter in the abuser playbook. This is an age-old story: A woman speaks up with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation and the abuser attempts to turn the tables on the victim.”

Blake Lively’s legal team is not backing down in their fight against Justin Baldoni’s attorney. In a recent court filing, Lively’s team has requested a hearing with the judge to address the public remarks made by Baldoni’s attorney.

The feud between Lively and Baldoni has been heating up in recent months, with both parties embroiled in a bitter legal battle over alleged copyright infringement. Lively claims that Baldoni’s latest project bears striking similarities to her own work, and she is seeking damages for the alleged infringement.

However, things took a turn for the worse when Baldoni’s attorney made several public remarks about Lively, questioning her credibility and integrity. Lively’s legal team was quick to respond, calling the remarks defamatory and demanding a retraction.

Now, Lively’s team is taking things a step further by requesting a hearing with the judge to address the issue. They are seeking a formal apology from Baldoni’s attorney and are prepared to take further legal action if necessary.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

  • Hannah Blake previews Chelsea – Durham Women FC

Durham forward Hannah Blake caught up with us to preview Wednesday’s Subway Women’s League Cup tie

Hannah, a tough defeat at the weekend.

‘Yeah, I think obviously our first league game back this year was one we wanted to start off with a win and I think Charlton definitely posed a tough challenge for us.

‘They sat in quite a tough block to break down and I think we were unlucky with a few things but it has only motivated the group to go ahead, move onto the next, learn from the mistakes and get those three points in the next fixture.’

And we continue our Subway Women’s league cup run tomorrow, how are the squad feeling for it?

‘I think everyone’s pretty excited, obviously Chelsea are going to be a very very tough opposition, but I think these are the kind of games we want to be playing in and testing ourselves against the best.

‘I think everyone’s really looking forward to the occasion and to learn from what we can put out on the field.’

And, like you say, we are up against Chelsea, a top Women’s Super League side, what can we expect from the challenge?

‘I think, like you say, it’s going to be a massive challenge, they’re going to be class all throughout the field.

‘I think they’re one of the best teams in the country and in the world, so it’s one of the biggest challenges we’ll probably face all season, but these are the sort of games we want to play in.

‘All the girls are up for the challenge and we’re going to leave everything out on the pitch and see what we can come away with.’

And we are the only championship team left in the League-Cup quarter finals, what does that mean to the club?

‘Obviously being the last championship team is huge for the club, it shows that we are competing and that is exactly what we want to be doing.’

And we know that some fans are travelling down for the game tomorrow, do you have a message for them?

‘I think the fans have been flawless all season and yet again, their support coming down to Chelsea is going to be massive for us.

‘We’ll need all the support we can get and we’re looking forward to seeing them there’.

  • Blake Snell follows Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s lead as the Dodgers $182,000,000 ace enjoys a Shirley Temple at Nobu

Following the World Series triumph in October last year, the Los Angeles Dodgers upgraded the rotation by signing two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell in the offseason.

Blake Snell , who signed a five-year, $182 million contract with the Dodgers in November, is enjoying his time during the offseason. In his latest Instagram story, Snell shared a clip of enjoying a Shirley Temple at Nobu.

Blake Snell is not the only Dodgers player to grace the world-famous sushi restaurant as his new teammates Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto were also at the restaurant in 2023. The Japanese duo were pictured alongside celebrity chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa following their blockbuster contracts with the Dodgers.

Nobu Matsuhisa is one of the brains behind the renowned restaurant chain, and the 75-year-old recently catered to the Golden Globes for a second year running. Celebrity attendance is a common occurrence at Chef Nobu’s restaurants, with the veteran chef also sharing a strong bond with Hollywood icon Robert De Niro, one of the co-founders of Nobu Hospitality.

Chef Nobu is an admirer of Shohei Ohtani, and the celebrity chef congratulated the Dodgers superstar after the NL West team’s World Series win over the Yankees and the Japanese star’s third MVP title. He also gave a special shoutout to Ohtani’s dog Decopin.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts highlights Blake Snell’s hunger

Blake Snell signed for the San Francisco Giants last offseason to end his prolonged free agency. After missing almost the entire Spring Training, Snell had a rough start to the 2024 season and was plagued by injuries in the first half of the year.

However, Snell returned to his Cy Young caliber in the second half of the season. He opted out of his Giants contract after a strong finish and signed for the Dodgers this offseason.

In a recent episode of “Dodgers Territory,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts shared the reason behind Snell’s deal with LA.

“The thing that I really love is not only the talent, but it’s a guy that hasn’t won a championship,” Roberts said. It’s hard to quantify hunger, and this guy wants it really bad. That’s why he chose to sign with the Dodgers.”

With the arrival of the two-time Cy Young winner, the Dodgers have a stacked rotation with Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow and Shohei Ohtani. They could add more firepower to the rotation as the Dodgers are heavily linked with Japanese sensation Roki Sasaki.
