Gypsy Rose Blanchard has revealed that one of her social media accounts was recently hacked, and she alleges the hacker is demanding money in exchange for returning control of her profile.

Ever since she was released on parole in December 2023, Gypsy became an internet sensation and the subject of a media frenzy, with many supporting the 33-year-old as she is believed to be a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

Fame often comes with its fair share of challenges, including becoming a target for tech-savvy individuals with the skills to exploit social media vulnerabilities. Unfortunately, Gypsy Rose Blanchard has become the latest victim of such a cyberattack.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s TikTok Has Been Hacked

According to the ex-con, her TikTok account, which boasts nearly 10 million followers, was compromised around 1:30 a.m. on Friday. The hacker reportedly altered her bio to read: “Anyone who violates rights becomes a hack freak. rustywrist.”

Gypsy claims she has been in direct contact with the alleged hacker, who is demanding $400 to restore her access. She also shared screenshots of their conversation, where she made it clear she has no intention of paying the ransom.

Gypsy has repeatedly deleted and recreated her social media accounts, even opting to set them to private for added security. However, it seems that even these precautions haven’t been enough to deter determined tech-savvy individuals from breaching her accounts.

Gypsy Rose Falls Victim To Hacker

In the exchange, the hacker bombarded her with multiple messages before she finally replied. When she dismissed the ransom demand, the hacker retorted, “You don’t have $400?” She responded by explaining that all her finances are carefully allocated to her bills and preparations for her soon-to-be-born child. She emphasized that, despite public perception, she is not a millionaire.

Gypsy is currently expecting her first child with her current boyfriend, Ken Urker. “We have a long history. So, we first dated back in 2017 for two years … We have a two-year history under our belt,” Gypsy explained of her relationship with Ken on “Radio Andy’s Andy Cohen Live.”

“We separated for four and a half years, and then I got married and moved on … I married Ryan. And then I came out [of prison] and just realized that it was not the marriage that I wanted,” she added. “And so, I filed for divorce and then reconnected with Ken. And a month later we got pregnant. It’s kind of been a journey.”

Gypsy Rose Announces Pregnancy

At 11 weeks pregnant, Gypsy joyfully announced that she is expecting her first child with Urker. While the pregnancy wasn’t planned, Gypsy described it as an exciting and meaningful chapter in her life.

“You know it’s still going to be a long journey ahead, but I’m up for it. I feel a shift in myself. When I found out that I was pregnant, none of anything else mattered; the drama on social media, the feud between the creator and me, and all of that drama, it just all faded,” she said at the time. “It didn’t matter anymore. All that matters is that I’m healthy, the baby is healthy, and the relationship with Ken is healthy.”

Gypsy Rose Blanchard Embraces A New Chapter With Gratitude

Just days after announcing her pregnancy, Gypsy sat down with PEOPLE Magazine to share her thoughts on her childhood and the deep significance of starting her own family. Reflecting on her past, Gypsy revealed that her mother once told her she would “never get married, raise a family, have kids, or do any of that.”

“So, to be here, standing on my own two feet and expecting my first baby, that’s something I’ve reached as an achievement and a personal goal,” Gypsy said. “I thank God every day that I am now having this second chance at life with a kid of my own.”

The ex-con added, “The way my mother parented me is definitely not the way I’m going to be. We always say for the next generation, we want to be better than we were raised, and so, for me, I think that couldn’t be any more truthful.”

Gypsy Rose’s Messy Love Life

Gypsy was previously married to Ryan Anderson, whom she wed while serving time in prison. However, she has since rekindled her relationship with Urker, her former fiancé during her incarceration for her involvement in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.

“I’d describe the Gypsy Rose who went into prison as someone who was very lost and confused,” she told PEOPLE Magazine. “Now she’s a little bit more wise, has a little bit more experience under her belt and is still very hopeful for the future.”
