  • Kyrie Irving Makes Bold Klay Thompson Statement After Dallas Mavericks Beat Pelicans

On Wednesday evening, the Dallas Mavericks beat the New Orleans Pelicans by a score of 137-136.

Klay Thompson finished the win with 20 points, four rebounds and one assist while shooting 6/11 from the three-point range.

After the game, Kyrie Irving spoke about his teammate (h/t Joey Mistretta of ClutchPoints).

Irving: “We’re making an emphasis to get him involved and to keep him involved throughout the game… Also, call his number when we don’t have anything offensively. He’s one of those emergency buttons for us.”

Thompson is in his first year with Dallas after 13 years with the Golden State Warriors.

The four-time NBA Champion is averaging 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 41.7% from the field and 39.6% from the three-point range in 41 games.

He has scored 20+ points in each of the previous two.

Via @MavsMuse: “Klay Thompson is leading the entire NBA in 3 pointers made this season (126) for players under 27.5 minutes per game.”

With the win, the Mavs are now 26-22 in 48 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak (and 4-6 over their last ten).

Following New Orleans, the Mavs will play their next game on Saturday when they visit the Detroit Pistons in Michigan.

As for Irving, he is in his third season with Dallas.

The future Hall of Famer has also spent time with the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers.

After the Dallas Mavericks secured a thrilling victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, Kyrie Irving made a bold statement about Klay Thompson that has NBA fans buzzing.

Irving praised Thompson’s incredible shooting ability, calling him “one of the greatest shooters of all time” and stating that he believes Thompson will have a major impact on the Golden State Warriors’ success this season.

Irving’s comments come at a time when Thompson is making his highly anticipated return to the court after missing two full seasons due to injuries. The Warriors are hoping that Thompson’s sharpshooting skills will help propel them back to championship contention.

With Irving’s high praise for Thompson, it’s clear that the NBA community is eagerly awaiting Thompson’s return and is excited to see him back in action. Stay tuned for more updates on Thompson’s comeback and the Warriors’ quest for another title.

  • Gunners considering bold bid for €65m-rated striker this weekend after Ollie Watkins bid rejected

Arsenal are still keen to sign a new striker before the transfer window closes and could make a late move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, TEAMtalk understands.

The Gunners submitted a bid of around £40m for Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins earlier this week, which was instantly rejected, and he won’t be joining the London side this window.

Aston Villa are on the verge of selling Jhon Duran to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, who has already completed a medical ahead of the move, and Unai Emery has no intention of allowing his first-choice striker Watkins to leave too.

Unai Emery, meanwhile, has confirmed that Watkins isn’t pushing to leave Aston Villa. “Some players prefer to leave and some players accept to stay here and commit to Aston Villa and compete for our challenges. One of them is Ollie Watkins,” Emery said in a press conference.

Mikel Arteta’s priority ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline is to sign a new striker to cover for Gabriel Jesus, who is sidelined with an injury.

Sources state that Juventus striker Vlahovic is among Arsenal’s top targets. A final decision on whether to bid hasn’t been made, but the Gunners are considering a bid over the weekend.

The 25-year-old is open to a new challenge in the Premier League. He has scored seven goals in 18 Serie A appearances this season and has big admirers at the Emirates.

READ MORENewcastle stance on new Alexander Isak contract assessed as Arsenal eye 17-goal superstar

Arsenal face hurdles in Dusan Vlahovic pursuit

A deal for Vlahovic won’t be straightforward, however. As we have previously reported, Juventus would need to sign another striker before sanctioning his exit.

The Turin-based club are now running out of time to sign a new centre-forward, even though they have already signed one new one – Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.

Juventus manager Thiago Motta is not convinced that Kolo Muani can be relied upon as Juventus’ main striker in both the Serie A and Champions League, with back-up option Arkadiusz Milik currently sidelined with an injury.

In the event that Juventus do sign another new forward, sources suggest that they could consider selling Vlahovic for slightly less than his initial €65m (£54.4m, $67.4m) price tag.

RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko remains high on Arsenal’s shortlist but the German side are very reluctant to allow him to leave mid-season.

Sesko, 21, could be a viable target for Arsenal in the summer but it would take a mega-money bid to get him before the transfer window closes.

Vlahovic, however, is a player to keep a close eye on in the coming days.

Arsenal round-up: Bologna forward linked / Cunha competition

Meanwhile, recent reports have claimed that Arsenal have shown interest in Atalanta striker Mateo Retegui.

Retegui has been referred to as the “hot striker” in Italian football at the moment, with three goals more (16) than any other Serie A player this term.

There has been no indication yet as to what fee Atalanta could consider selling him for, but reports suggest Arsenal are keeping tabs on his situation.

In other news, reports claim that Aston Villa could rival Arsenal in the race to sign Matheus Cunha, although this is likely to be a summer saga, rather than a move happening in the next few days.

The Gunners have identified Cunha as one of their main targets to strengthen their left-wing position alongside Athletic Club’s Nico Williams.

IN FOCUS: What Dusan Vlahovic would bring to Arsenal

    By Samuel Bannister

Towering at 1.90m tall, it’s no surprise what kind of centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic is. If it’s a target man you want, this is the kind of player you’d design.

Renowned for his strength, Vlahovic excels with his hold-up play. But he doesn’t just stop there; although he won’t drop deep too often, this is a player with good ball-carrying abilities as well, making him extremely dangerous on transition if he can pin his marker and change the direction of play.

What about his finishing, though? Despite his potential, Vlahovic hasn’t always been the most prolific frontman. His best period as a goalscorer was between 2020 and 2022, when he scored 50 goals over two seasons (he was a Fiorentina player for one-and-a-half of those, and a Juventus player for the last half).

At Juventus, he hits double figures regularly, but still hasn’t taken that next step to becoming a regular 20-goal-a-season striker.

Vlahovic is left-footed and that represents his most common way to score, significantly more so than via heading, despite his height. He isn’t just a penalty-box poacher, either; the Serbia striker is a reliable free-kick taker and is dangerous from long range.

There’s a lot to like about Vlahovic in terms of his raw traits, but in his mid-20s, he still isn’t the finished article. With a bit of refinement to his game, he could reach the next level, but he is just outside the bracket of being top-class just yet.

According to reports, Arsenal are considering making a bold bid for a €65m-rated striker this weekend after their initial offer for Ollie Watkins was rejected by Aston Villa. The Gunners are in desperate need of reinforcements up front, and have identified the unnamed striker as their top target.

Despite having a strong attacking lineup, Arsenal have struggled to find a consistent goal scorer this season. With Alexandre Lacazette’s future at the club uncertain and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang not hitting top form, manager Mikel Arteta is eager to bring in a new striker to bolster his options.

The €65m-rated striker is said to be open to a move to the Emirates and could provide the goalscoring threat that Arsenal have been lacking. It is believed that negotiations between the two clubs are already underway, and a deal could be completed in the coming days.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that the Gunners can secure the signature of the talented striker, as they look to push for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.

  • 2025 Super Bowl predictions: Chiefs’ Travis Kelce breaking his own record among five bold picks for big game

Super Bowl LIX is on the horizon and there’s plenty of speculation about how this championship matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will play out.

After all, history is on the line with K.C. attempting what would be the league’s first three-peat Super Bowl run. Meanwhile, the Eagles are looking to enact some revenge on the Chiefs after they defeated them in Super Bowl LVII just a few years ago. This is just the ninth Super Bowl rematch in NFL history, so we’re already swimming in rarified waters.

Of course, as much as we think we know what’s going to happen in a given game by the time kickoff rolls around, there’s always some surprises that unfold. Below, we’re going to cook up some BOLD predictions that could be on the table in this latest Super Bowl matchup from New Orleans.

The team that scores last will not win

This prediction stems from our Madden NFL 25 simulation that we recently conducted for this Super Bowl. In the past, it’s not only picked the correct winner in three of the last four Super Bowls, but it has been eerily accurate regarding some specific aspects of the various games. With this bold prediction, we’ll see if the simulation was correct in saying that the team that scored last did not win the game.

2025 Super Bowl early odds: Chiefs vs. Eagles line has defending champs as slight favorite for three-peat

    Tyler Sullivan

2025 Super Bowl early odds: Chiefs vs. Eagles line has defending champs as slight favorite for three-peat

In that simulation, the Eagles were able to edge out the Chiefs to win the game, but it didn’t come without a frantic 21-point comeback by Kansas City to cut the lead to a mere field goal. The last score in that game before Philadelphia ran out the clock was a 74-yard touchdown by Chiefs receiver Hollywood Brown. So, Kansas City scored last, but the Eagles hoisted the Lombardi Trophy.

If that comes to fruition in the actual Super Bowl, it’s a remarkably rare occurrence. The team that has scored last has won the game in 18 of the last 19 Super Bowls, including in 11 straight. The lone exception came in 2012 when the Ravens intentionally took a safety against the 49ers

Wait … I thought this was supposed to be a bold prediction story?

Well, even with Saquon Barkley going bananas this season and throughout these playoffs, if he were to top 100 yards rushing in the Super Bowl it would be particularly impressive against the Chiefs. Kansas City has gone 18 straight playoff games without allowing an individual 100-yard rusher. They Chiefs have also NEVER allowed a 100-yard rusher in the playoffs with Steve Spagnuolo as the defensive coordinator. Expanding it even further, the last time they allowed a 100-yard rusher overall came back in Week 1 against Lamar Jackson.

So, a player topping 100 yards on the ground is essentially unprecedented against these Chiefs in the playoffs, but Barkley likely breaks the mold in this matchup. Barkley has rushed for 100 or more yards in 14 of his 19 games played this season, including in five straight entering Super Bowl LIX.

Travis Kelce breaks his own Super Bowl record

Travis Kelce was quiet in the AFC Championship win over Buffalo with just two catches for 19 yards. There’s no way he has two subdued matchups in a row. In fact, he could be set up to break his own record for the most receiving yards by a tight in Super Bowl history. He set that mark in Super Bowl LV against the Buccaneers when he registered 133 yards receiving. Already this postseason, Kelce has a 117-yard game under his belt, so he’s showing he’s capable of taking over. The Eagles also just allowed fellow tight end Zach Ertz to catch 11 of his 16 targets for 104 yards in the NFC Championship. Certainly, Kelce can have a similar, if not more productive day than that, putting him in range of his record.

Dallas Goedert leads Eagles in receiving yards

In an offense that boasts two star wide receivers in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, this is arguably the boldest of predictions, but Dallas Goedert has an enticing matchup against the Chiefs. The Kansas City defense has been pretty susceptible to tight ends this season, allowing the most receiving yards per game to the position in the entire league. Meanwhile, Goedert has put together a strong postseason and was second on the team with 85 receiving yards in the NFC Championship only looking up to Brown (96). Goedert led the team in receiving in the divisional round and was second in the team in receiving during wild-card weekend.

A tight end wins Super Bowl MVP

Judging by my two predictions above, you’ve likely discerned that I think the tight ends are going to have a big day in Super Bowl LIX. So much so that I think it’s in play that we see one of them win Super Bowl MVP. I’ll divulge our actual game pick in a later story, but it’s worth sprinkling a bit on both Kelce and Goedert’s MVP odds for this game, for the reasons I mentioned above. Kelce owns the fourth-lowest odds at +1500, while Goedert is a true lottery ticket at +12000. If this actually unfolded, it’d be historic as no tight end has ever won Super Bowl MVP.

As we look ahead to the 2025 Super Bowl, there are plenty of exciting storylines to keep an eye on. One of the most intriguing is the potential for Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end Travis Kelce to break his own record for receiving yards in a single Super Bowl. Kelce set the record in Super Bowl LV, and with his combination of size, speed, and hands, it’s not hard to imagine him topping that mark in 2025.

But Kelce’s potential record-breaking performance is just one of five bold predictions for the big game. Here are our picks for what could happen in the 2025 Super Bowl:

    1. Travis Kelce breaks his own record for receiving yards in a single Super Bowl.
    2. The game goes into overtime, with the winning team scoring on a walk-off touchdown.
    3. A defensive player wins Super Bowl MVP, with a game-changing interception or sack.
    4. The halftime show features a surprise reunion of a legendary musical group.
    5. The winning team’s quarterback throws for over 400 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Of course, predicting the outcome of a Super Bowl is always a challenge, but with the talent and excitement surrounding the league in 2025, anything is possible. Keep an eye on Travis Kelce and these other bold predictions as we count down to the big game.

  • Bold & Beautiful, Days of Our Lives Alum Matt Borlenghi’s New Role

It’s been quite some time since Matt Borlenghi played drug dealer Ziggy Deadmarsh on The Bold and the Beautiful. That was in 2002, in and around being in several other TV shows and films over the years. His soap journey landed him in Salem in 2008 to play Mayor Anthony Marino on Days of Our Lives, and he was a fan favorite as Brian Bodine on All My Children. Among his numerous credits are A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child (1989), Castle, and appearing as Lyle The Pawnshop Guy on Cobra Kai. Now, he’s got a fun new part in a Lifetime movie.

    He Reined Things in

Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam was a popular 1980s band that had several hits including I Wonder if I Take You Home, and Head to Toe. Lifetime has created a biopic about the band, called Can You Feel The Beat: The Lisa Lisa Story, which is part of their series on visionary women called Voices of a Lifetime. Soap Opera Digest caught up with Borlenghi who was given the part of record producer Barry Conner in the film. (Find out about DAYS’ current mayor, Paulina.)

Borlenghi was given free rein to change things like dialogue as he saw fit. He explained that his character is based on a real-life record producer who worked with Lisa Velez aka Lisa Lisa, explaining, “They changed the name of the guy, who died several years ago, and so out of respect for his family and memory and all that, I didn’t want to be a total piece of s–.” Meaning, that he played the character as a manipulator but reined it in out of respect for the producer’s surviving family.

READ THIS: Take a look at what’s coming up next on B&B.

The Band Had a Tough Path

“It was really cool to work with the real Lisa, and with Jearnest [Corchado], who plays Lisa in the film,” Borlenghi said, adding Lisa and her best friend Toni watched the production and had to relive many of the trials and tribulations they went through back in the day. This included the band immersed in a world of drugs, violence, personal troubles, and more, which Borlenghi remarked was, “Really powerful.”

“I am really curious to see how this film comes out and if it ends up playing as powerfully as I imagine it will,” he stated. He had shown his wife the trailer, noting that she wasn’t necessarily a fan of everything he’s done, but really wants to see this new film. In adding some redeeming qualities to his character, he hoped the family of the real life producer he portrayed would think, “‘Okay, he didn’t totally wreck Dad,’ or, ‘He didn’t totally wreck his memory.’”

Can You Feel The Beat: The Lisa Lisa Story premieres on Saturday, February 1 at 8 p.m./ET on Lifetime. (Learn about B&B’s Sean Kanan’s return to Cobra Kai.)

  • Tulsi Gabbard has bold plans to reform US intelligence as DNI

If she is confirmed as director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard would be the youngest-ever in that role, the first millennial, the first Asian American, and only the second woman to hold the position.

But she is expected to face questions in her confirmation hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee about statements she has made that appear to support U.S. enemies and dictators as well as having no significant experience in intelligence. Gabbard can only afford to lose the votes of three Republicans and sources tell ABC News the vote on her nomination is expected to be a close one.

In excerpts from her opening statement, Gabbard confronts her critics.

“The truth is: what really upsets my political opponents is my consistent record of independence, regardless of political affiliation, and my refusal to be anyone’s puppet. You know who else is committed to defending our country and reforming Washington with a fierce and unparalleled independence, President Donald J. Trump who ran and won with a mandate for change this November,” she says in the excerpt.

For most of her career, Gabbard has broken barriers. She was the youngest woman ever elected to a state house of representatives and the first to graduate from the Accelerated Officer Candidate School at the Alabama Military Academy as a distinguished honor graduate. In Congress, she was the first Samoan American, the youngest woman elected at the time, and the first combat veteran to serve — a distinction she shares with Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth.

Gabbard has prepared extensively over the past two months for her hearings, meeting with former DNI leaders, including John Negroponte, the first DNI, and Michael Allen, who led Negroponte’s confirmation hearing preparations. She also has consulted with former CIA Director Gen. Michael Hayden, along with Trump allies Morgan Ortagus, deputy special presidential envoy for Middle East peace, and FBI director nominee Kash Patel.

She has sought input from a broad range of intelligence experts, former government officials and lawmakers across the aisle. She has participated in policy roundtables with lawyers, ex-intelligence officials, and national security negotiators, including figures involved in the Abraham Accords.

She also held a full-scale mock confirmation hearing ahead of Thursday’s Senate Intelligence Committee proceedings. Former Republican Sen. Richard Burr, who chaired the committee from 2015 to 2020, will introduce her.

Sources on both sides of the aisle on Capitol Hill tell ABC News Gabbard will likely face scrutiny over her past stances on Russia, Ukraine, Syria, and Iran, as well as her defense of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who reached a plea deal with the Justice Department over disseminating classified documents he had obtained illegally. Gabbard said last year on “Real Time With Bill Maher” that “the charges against him are one of the biggest attacks on freedom of the press that we’ve seen and freedom of speech.”

As a member of Congress, Gabbard introduced a bill in 2020 calling for the federal government to drop all charges against Edward Snowden, the former NSA contractor who leaked information in 2013 about how the U.S. government surveils the American public.

She’s also expected to face question on her reversal on Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), a key surveillance tool she voted against reauthorizing in 2020, her last year in Congress.

Gabbard argued that Americans shouldn’t be forced to choose between security and liberty, saying that the Patriot Act and FISA have “been allowing for the abuses of our civil liberties and overreach by our own intelligence and law enforcement agencies through doing things like warrantless sweeping collection of our data, violating our Fourth Amendment constitutional rights.”

Gabbard is also expected to face questions past statements about former President Donald Trump including her decision to vote present on Donald Trump’s.

Over the last two months, Gabbard has met with more than 50 senators, primarily Republicans. The meetings have largely served as an introduction — an opportunity to explain her past positions and assuage concerns about her political evolution. A source close to her told ABC News, “They know they can’t put her in a box. She’s not a Democrat. She’s a new Republican. She has very similar, if not 100% aligned, views with President Trump on ‘America First’ foreign policy. That makes people uneasy because they can’t quite figure her out.”

Gabbard, like Trump, is a former Democrat whose policy views have shifted significantly. Her evolution has been shaped by her 22 years in the Army, including deployments to Iraq, Kuwait, and Djibouti. If confirmed, she will be the first female DNI to have served in the military. She plans to continue serving in the Army Reserve, which is permitted under ODNI regulations.

Behind the scenes, Gabbard has earned bipartisan support within the intelligence community for her willingness to engage with a range of stakeholders. Earlier this month, the families of two former ISIS and al-Qaeda hostages publicly endorsed her nomination in a letter shared with ABC News. The parents of Kayla Mueller, who was killed by ISIS, and Theo Padnos, a former al-Qaeda hostage, argued that the radicalization of individuals — such as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who drove his truck into a crowd of New Orleans New Year’s revelers — underscores the need for Gabbard’s swift confirmation.

The letter of support came under scrutiny by some lawmakers after rebels toppled Syria’s Bashar al-Assad. Gabbard met with Assad in Syria in 2017, which remains a point of controversy. She has previously defended the trip as a “fact-finding mission” and has maintained that U.S. intervention in Syria empowered extremist groups.

Gabbard warned in the same year that she was concerned that toppling Assad’s regime could lead to groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda to step in to fill the void and “completely massacre all religious minorities there in Syria.”

“I had no intention of meeting with Assad, but when given the opportunity, I felt it was important to take it,” Gabbard said in a 2017 statement. “We should be ready to meet with anyone if there’s a chance it can help bring about an end to this war.”

Padnos, who was kidnapped by the al-Nusra Front in 2012 and held for nearly two years, said Gabbard’s willingness to engage with hostage families compelled him to speak out.

“This is a woman with deep compassion for the victims of terrorism and the courage to get things done,” he told ABC News. “Nobody else has offered their help — except Tulsi.”

Gabbard told ABC News that she was “honored and humbled by that statement of support.”

She has also received backing from law enforcement. The National Sheriffs’ Association endorsed her nomination, citing her commitment to bridging intelligence gaps between federal agencies and local authorities. In a statement, the group praised Gabbard’s pledge to give sheriffs “a seat at the table” in national security discussions.

Sheriff Kieran Donahue, president of the National Sheriffs’ Association, wrote “Gabbard has demonstrated a commitment to addressing the critical disconnect between our intelligence agencies and local law enforcement in preparing for sophisticated and pervasive threats.”

A source close to Gabbard told ABC News that her focus as director of national intelligence will be on restoring trust in the intelligence community and reforming what is and isn’t classified. Specifically, she aims to ensure that the intelligence provided to the Senate and White House is not information already available to lawmakers through media outlets. On Capitol Hill, lawmakers have expressed concern about the overclassification of information.

The source added that Gabbard intends to provide more accurate, raw intelligence to help lawmakers make informed decisions, rather than relying on overclassified data. She also plans to streamline the process for security clearances and return ODNI to its original mission — leading the intelligence community by fostering integration, collaboration and innovation.

Her allies argue that her outsider perspective will help modernize the intelligence community — though critics remain skeptical of her lack of traditional experience.

Thursday’s hearing will test whether Gabbard can win over skeptics — or if her controversial past will derail her bid to become the nation’s top intelligence officer.

Ahead of Gabbard ‘s hearing, a large group of veterans and supporters are expected to hold a rally near the Capitol Thursday morning.

Tulsi Gabbard, the former US Congresswoman and Democratic presidential candidate, has recently unveiled a bold plan to reform the US intelligence community if she were to be appointed as the Director of National Intelligence (DNI).

Gabbard’s plan includes a comprehensive overhaul of the current system, which she believes is plagued by inefficiency, lack of accountability, and widespread abuse of power. She has outlined several key reforms that she believes are necessary to improve the effectiveness and integrity of US intelligence agencies.

One of Gabbard’s main proposals is to increase oversight and transparency within the intelligence community. She wants to establish an independent oversight board to review and investigate potential abuses of power, as well as to ensure that intelligence agencies are operating within the bounds of the law.

Additionally, Gabbard has called for greater diversity and inclusion within the intelligence community, arguing that a more diverse workforce will lead to better decision-making and a broader range of perspectives. She also wants to prioritize the protection of whistleblowers and ensure that they are able to report wrongdoing without fear of retaliation.

Overall, Gabbard’s plan represents a significant departure from the status quo and has the potential to bring much-needed reform to the US intelligence community. If she were to be appointed as DNI, it will be interesting to see how her proposals are received and implemented.

  • Steve Kerr’s bold rotation call should only fuel trade speculation on veteran forward

Having missed their three top power forward options over multiple games, one would have expected the Golden State Warriors to be eager in welcoming one back from injury for Saturday’s matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers.

While Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga are both set to spend more time on the sidelines, Kyle Anderson was off the injury report and available after a five-game absence due to a glute injury.

Kyle Anderson’s DNP may only fuel trade speculation

But instead of welcoming Anderson quickly back to the rotation, Steve Kerr chose to continue sitting the veteran forward despite Golden State’s front court injuries. The head coach chose to remain with his young players, with Moses Moody and Gui Santos continuing to play their fare share of minutes at power forward.

Both Moody and Santos have been impactful over recent games, particularly shooting the ball as Kerr searches for more offense. They weren’t overly impactful against the Lakers though, combining for just 14 points and six rebounds on 5-of-12 shooting from the floor.

The Warriors probably could have done with some of Anderson’s defensive versatility, especially given Lakers stars Anthony Davis and LeBron James combined for 61 points, 18 rebounds and 15 assists to lead their team to a 118-108 victory.

If Anderson can’t get minutes while Green and Kuminga are out of the lineup, then what does that say for his role with Golden State moving forward? The 31-year-old was signed to a three-year, $37 million contract in the offseason and was supposed to be a valuable 20-25 minute rotation player, but that hasn’t played out at all even despite the team’s mediocre 22-23 record.

The DNP on Saturday was Anderson’s seventh of the season, having averaged just 15.2 minutes per game. That’s his lowest playing time since his third year in 2016-17, with Anderson see at least 19.9 minutes of playing time in each of the last seven seasons.

Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported last week that Gary Payton II, Kevon Looney, Dennis Schroder and Buddy Hield could be trade candidates prior to the February 6 deadline, but why wouldn’t that list also include Anderson who’s seemingly playing a lesser rotational role than that quartet?

Anderson’s time with the Warriors has been bizarre through the first-half of the season, but if his playing time is anything to go by, seeing him moved prior to the deadline wouldn’t be so astonishing.

After Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made a bold rotation call in their recent game, benching a veteran forward in favor of a younger player, trade speculation has been ignited in the NBA community.

Kerr’s decision to shake up the lineup and give more playing time to a younger player has raised questions about the veteran forward’s future with the team. Could this be a sign that the Warriors are looking to make a trade to shake up their roster and bring in new talent?

With the trade deadline approaching, all eyes are on the Warriors and their potential moves. Kerr’s bold rotation call only adds fuel to the fire of trade speculation surrounding the veteran forward. Stay tuned as the NBA trade deadline draws near for any potential updates on this developing story.
