Boomer Esiason’s Pete Alonso-Mets prediction is epic dud

Boomer Esiason, the WFAN radio host, confidently claimed Thursday that Alonso and the Mets would finally reunite on Friday, which would end a months-long free agency battle between the two sides.

“Everybody, just pump the breaks for five seconds. I put it out there, I will stand by it, and if it doesn’t happen, you can call me a jackass,” he said. “I want a full team and I want him on this team. I’m telling you, this would be like Saquon Barkley leaving the Giants.”
