    Porzingis has long been viewed as the Celtics‘ X-Factor. When he’s healthy and in rhythm, he’s one of the most unguardable players in the NBA. He has also developed high-level partnerships with both Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, providing Joe Mazzulla with multiple rotation combinations that can be effective.

    Following the Celtics’ win, Brown praised Porzingis’ contributions during his postgame news conference. The 2024 Finals MVP declared that Porzingis can be ‘scary’ when playing at close to his best.

  • Widespread snow ahead for Wednesday morning – Boston News, Weather, Sports


    We’ve got a few chances for snow over the next few days in Massachusetts, with the best bet early Wednesday morning.

    Monday was supposed to be the quietest day this week, yet we kicked off the work week with an earthquake! At 10:23 a.m. there was a magnitude-3.8 earthquake centered over 6 miles southeast of York Harbor, Maine. Shaking was felt all across Massachusetts.

    For the rest of your Monday evening it’ll be mostly clear, chilly and still breezy. Lows early Tuesday morning will get down to the mid to upper 20s, but that’ll feel like it’s 10 degrees colder than it really is due to the breezy conditions. We also have a chance for some hit-or-miss, isolated snow showers before 9 a.m. that could lead to some spotty coatings.

    After that front rolls through, though, winds will pick up significantly. We’re expecting a whipping wind with gusts topping 35-40 mph at times.

    So while afternoon highs might reach the 30s, that’ll only feel like the teens. Bundle up!

    The wind dies back down Tuesday evening. Wednesday morning lows will be back to the teens, and that’s when we have the better chance for more widespread snow showers. The snow will be light, but most widespread, in the morning. Snow becomes more scattered into the afternoon, but that scattered snow has more of an ability to pack a punch with heavier snowfall rates. Most of us will pick up between 1-2 inches with just a coating to an inch for the southeast coast.

    Thursday will be breezy again but no where at the level of Tuesday’s wind. However, with lows in the teens and highs only in the 20s, a slight breeze will make it feel like it’s in the single digits and teens all day long. At least the sun will be shining.

    As we usher into Friday and the weekend, the weather becomes a little bit unsettled again. We’re tracking our next chances for rain and snow.

  • More snow ahead Wednesday in Massachusetts – Boston News, Weather, Sports


    A few Massachusetts cities and towns got a quick burst of snow Tuesday morning, but even more is on the way overnight into Wednesday.

    The most widespread snow rolls in tonight past 11 p.m. or midnight through 6/7 a.m. Wednesday. This snow will be relatively light, and many of us will wake up with between 1-2 inches. Only some spotty coatings are forecast for the southeast. Morning lows will get down to the upper teens and low 20s.

    While there may be a lull in the snow in the morning for many, as we usher into the afternoon and warm up a bit, there may be some spotty, hit-or-miss additional snow or rain showers. Highs will reach the upper 30s and low 40s.

    While Wednesday will not be nearly as windy as it was Tuesday, we will still see winds gusting to over 25-30 mph.

    Thursday is looking bright, cold and windy. Highs will only reach the low to mid 20s, but with gusty winds it’ll feel closer to the teens during the warmest part of the day. Bundle up!

    A warm-up Friday will bring in some likely chances for rain. While it looks like rain for most, there may be some spots of a wintry mix in the highest elevations of the Worcester hills at times. Regardless, highs will be mild in the low to mid 40s. Winds will still be breezy with gusts over 20 mph.

    Saturday will be a repeat of Thursday with bright skies and cold highs in the mid to upper 20s. Our next chance for snow comes Sunday.

    BOSTON (WHDH) – The Boston Pops are marking 30 years under the leadership of Keith Lockhart with the spring season a celebration of the conductor’s decades-long career.

    Grammy, Tony, and Emmy-winner Cynthia Erivo, recently nominated for her third Academy Award for her performance in Wicked, will make her Pops debut during the May 8 opening concert, where she will perform “a captivating array of songs from a wide range of songwriters and composers.”

    Erivo was recently named the 2025 Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year.

    Lockhart has led the Pops since 1995; since then he’s conducted more than 2,250 concerts featuring over 300 guest stars.

    Tickets for the spring season go on sale on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m.
