The Warriors will be in front of their home fans on Monday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-court advantage. They will host the Boston Celtics at 5:00 p.m. ET at Chase Center. The Warriors have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they’ve increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Saturday, the Warriors beat the Wizards 122-114.
The Warriors’ success was spearheaded by the efforts of Andrew Wiggins, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds, and Stephen Curry, who posted 26 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Curry’s evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 30 points.
The Warriors smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds (they’re ranked third in offensive rebounds per game overall). That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, the Celtics fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Hawks on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 119-115 hit to the loss column at the hands of Atlanta. Boston got off to an early lead (up 12 with 2:59 left in the first quarter), but sadly they weren’t able to maintain that momentum.
The loss doesn’t tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Luke Kornet, who went 7 for 9 en route to 17 points plus seven rebounds and four steals. He had some trouble finding his footing against the Magic on Friday, so this was a step in the right direction. Less helpful for the Celtics was Sam Hauser’s abysmal 0-5 three-point shooting.
Golden State now has a winning record of 21-20. As for Boston, their loss dropped their record down to 29-13.
Keep an eye on the arc in Monday’s match: The Warriors have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 15.1 threes per game. However, it’s not like the Celtics struggle in that department as they’ve been averaging 17.8. Given these competing strengths, it’ll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
The Warriors didn’t have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Celtics when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 118-112 win. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Celtics turn the tables on them? We’ll have the answer soon enough.

WORCESTER, MASS. (WHDH) – The streets and sidewalks in Worcester are blanketed in a fresh layer of light snow after a fast-moving snowstorm blew through the region overnight.
7’s Kimberly Bookman was watching Monday morning as road crews worked to clear and treat the slick streets. City officials urged anyone who didn’t need to travel to stay home.
As of 6 a.m., the main roads appeared clear but the secondary streets still needed to be treated.
City crews could also be seen clearing sidewalks as the snow winded down.

Winter wonderland in Worcester after snowstorm blows through
Worcester, MA – Residents woke up to a picturesque scene this morning after a snowstorm blanketed the city in a thick layer of snow. The streets and rooftops glistened in the morning sun, creating a winter wonderland that has left many in awe.
Children were seen building snowmen and engaging in snowball fights, while adults took to the streets for peaceful walks in the freshly fallen snow. The city’s parks and gardens were transformed into a winter paradise, with trees and bushes covered in a layer of white.
Local businesses have also embraced the winter spirit, decorating their storefronts with twinkling lights and snowflakes. Many cafes and restaurants have even set up outdoor seating with cozy blankets and heaters, allowing patrons to enjoy the snowy scenery while sipping on hot cocoa or coffee.
Despite the challenges that come with snowstorms, the residents of Worcester have found joy and beauty in the aftermath. As the snow continues to fall gently, the city remains a winter wonderland for all to enjoy.
Stay tuned to Boston News for updates on the winter weather in Worcester and beyond. Stay warm and stay safe!
From Boston to Worcester, people woke up to a snow-covered state.
Leominster got hit with about 5 inches of snow, and the jackpot area was Holden with 6 inches.
The quick-moving system pushed through overnight, limiting its impact. The snow has stopped, but it’s still on the ground. And it’s going to be important to get that snow out of the way before arctic temperatures move into the region later this week.
Big time cold is on the way on Tuesday and Wednesday, and our First Alert Weather Team has issued a First Alert for both days as a result. A slight warmup will arrive in time for the weekend.
In Worcester, only flurries were still falling as of 6 a.m. Snow was still covering the roads, creating some click conditions. A snow emergency is in effect in the city and some cars had already been ticketed on Monday morning.
Due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, most schools are closed and fewer people are working, so there haven’t been any major issues reported on the roads as of yet.
There is also a decent coat of snow in Boston, which received about 4 inches of snow. Snow had mostly stopped as of 6 a.m. No snow emergency or parking ban was put in place, but there are slushy conditions on area roadways.
Winter Storm Avery has left its mark on Massachusetts, dropping a whopping 6 inches of snow across the state. The storm hit hard and fast, causing hazardous road conditions and widespread power outages.
As the snow begins to taper off, cleanup efforts are now underway. Plows are out in full force, working around the clock to clear the roads and make them safe for drivers. Utility crews are also working diligently to restore power to those affected by outages.
Residents are urged to use caution when traveling and to allow extra time for their commutes. It’s important to drive slowly and carefully on snow-covered roads to avoid accidents.
Despite the challenges that come with a winter storm of this magnitude, the people of Massachusetts are resilient and are coming together to help one another during this time of need. Stay safe and stay warm, Massachusetts!
Former Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman is still searching for his new home for the 2025 MLB season and beyond.
The Gold Glove winner was offered a six-year, $156 million contract by the Astros earlier this offseason but the All-Star turned it down as he is reportedly looking for a deal that extends beyond the six year mark.
The Cubs have Matt Shaw who is currently slated to start the season at third on the heels of Chicago claiming that third base will be addressed internally at their recent fan event, an answer that garnered boos from the crowd of fans.
The Tigers make sense considering manager A.J. Hinch has familiarity with Bregman during their epic run before their cheating scandal saw Hinch relieved and banned from baseball for a year. Detroit is a young and up and coming team that could use another bat and veteran presence on the diamond.
The Mets also feel like a solid landing spot for Bregman as talks between them and first baseman Pete Alonso have apparently stalled. Alonso was their first option but the team has made it known that they would pivot to Bregman if a deal with Alonso could not get done. New York is wanting to make a huge splash in free agency and Bregman might be the one to get it done.
Finally, the Red Sox are still in the mix and they appear to be the best fit. Boston has Rafael Devers at third currently, so an addition of Bregman would likely mean that Bregman would end up at second base. A reality he hasn’t shown disinterest in if the right opportunity arises.
The Red Sox are in a similar position as the Tigers and the could use another bat in the lineup as they try to track down the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles in the American League East.
It seems like only a matter of time for Bregman to sign a new deal, but the seven-plus years on the contract length appears to be the hold up for many MLB teams interested in adding him.
Former Houston Astros star Alex Bregman has been a hot topic of discussion among Boston Red Sox fans and analysts alike as a potential fit for the team. Despite his controversial past with the Astros, Bregman’s talent on the field is undeniable and could provide a major boost to the Red Sox lineup.
Bregman, a two-time All-Star and Silver Slugger award winner, has proven himself to be a versatile player capable of playing both third base and shortstop. His offensive prowess, highlighted by his impressive power and ability to get on base, would be a valuable addition to the Red Sox lineup.
While some may have concerns about Bregman’s past involvement in the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal, many believe that he has the talent and potential to make a significant impact for the Red Sox. With the team in need of a solid infielder, Bregman’s skillset and experience could be just what the Red Sox need to compete at a high level.
Despite the speculation and rumors surrounding Bregman’s potential move to Boston, nothing has been confirmed yet. However, many fans and analysts remain hopeful that the former Astros star could soon become a key part of the Red Sox roster. Only time will tell if this exciting possibility will come to fruition, but one thing is for sure – Alex Bregman is still seen as a top fit for the Boston Red Sox.
Jeremy Collins was onto Danielle Reyes. He had her pegged as a Traitor and was starting to float her name around the castle. He was right, of course, but the fact he correctly saw through the lies is what ended up getting the Survivor champion “murdered” on this week’s episode of The Traitors.
Jeremy was shortlisted for murder along with Nikki Garcia and Ciara Miller at the start of the episode, meaning the three had to cram themselves into coffins and then wait to find out which one would literally get the nail in the coffin. Even with his last-ditch plea to work with the Traitors if they spared him, Jeremy was eliminated.
What does Jeremy make of being murdered by two fellow Survivor alums in Boston Rob Mariano and Carolyn Wiger? How did he realize Danielle was a Traitor? And what would he have done had he escaped the evening with his reality television life still intact? We asked the Traitors’ third victim all that and more.
Jeremy Collins on ‘The Traitors’.
Euan Cherry/Peacock
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Okay, how long did you actually have to lie down in that coffin?
JEREMY COLLINS: Longer than I wanted to, but I will say that it was cold that night. It was freezing, and in the coffin was warmer than outside, so it wasn’t bad. But no one wants to lay in a coffin, you know what I mean? It sucked.
Did they actually hammer a nail into your coffin while you were in it, ’cause that seems dangerous?
They did! They gave me the heads up and said, “If you feel funny in there, just knock on it and we’ll get it open really quickly.” I’m pretty good. As firefighters, we have to do a lot of that crawling into confined spaces and stuff, so I was all right.
Boston Rob and Carolyn, your fellow Survivors, they take out Tony and you back-to-back. What is going on here?
Man, I don’t know. I was bummed. Listen, it’s my fault. I put it on me. I opened my mouth to too many people. But I was trying to gain some trust with my people, and after looking back afterwards, I’m looking at it and saying: Boston Rob, I know his game. This is what he does. He’s over everything. I get it.
Carolyn, I thought she was going to have my back more. I sat her down one time and we had a really good conversation, heart to heart. I was like, “Don’t let anyone block your shine. Don’t worry about anybody else. You just be you and don’t worry about anything else.” And we had a really good moment. I thought I was good. I thought I had a lot of allies throughout the castle.

Tony called Boston Rob a sellout. Do you agree or disagree?
I don’t think Rob’s a sellout, but this is Rob. You know what I mean? This is who he is. This is how he plays. He’s for himself and that’s it. Listen, I’ve wanted to play with Rob on Winners at War. He took out Natalie and I was like, “It’s fine, we’re good. I want to work with you. I want you to be my meat shield.” That’s what I was looking for. And we couldn’t get on the same page.
And then we took out Ethan, and he really didn’t trust me. And I’m like, “Yo, it wasn’t a shot at you. It was to get Ethan out of there so we could work together.” And he never wanted to work with me going into Traitors. I didn’t think that we were going to be on the same page because we left it like that. But when he was on, I was like, “All right, well good, we can play together now. Let’s go.” And I don’t know, we just were never on the same page, me and him.
It’s interesting because Boston Rob’s whole thing was he’s got to protect the Traitors, so he targets you when you start to realize Danielle is a Traitor, but then he immediately flips and takes out a Traitor himself the very next day.
I think I was one episode off. If I could just get through that killing, I think I would’ve been in a better spot to move on.
You were on to Danielle as a Traitor pretty much from the jump. What tipped you off?
So I said to Derrick, “If Danielle asked you for a Shield, she’s a Traitor.” Because nobody was after Danielle. She should not be worried about anything. Even when I got the Shield from Wes, I almost said, “I don’t think I need it. Give it to someone that needs it.” But then I’m not going to do that. I took it. So I said, “If she asks for a Shield, Derrick, she’s a Traitor.”
And she would cry. And it was just a not believable cry, you know what I mean? And I’m a guy that, when a female cries, it kind of opens up my heart. I tend to believe it more. And I did not believe it at all. It was just doing too much. It was overacting and stuff. And I said, “Oh, she’s got to be one.”
Jeremy Collins, Dorinda Medley, Tom Sandoval on ‘The Traitors’.

When you laid down in that coffin, did you know it was you?
I did not know it was me. I had a feeling that I might be able to get out of this. It happened so fast. I will say, I thought that once Ciara said whatever she said with like, “We’re going to find you, blah, blah,” I said, “Oh, she’s a Traitor. She’s not even trying to hide it. She’s a Traitor.” And I thought me and Nikki kind of gave a similar answer. So it could have been me and Nikki. I was just like, “It could be me. It’s a 50-50 shot.” I had no clue.
In your final plea to stay safe, you directly addressed the Traitors and said, “You all know I’m trying to find you all, but if you keep me, I’ll work with you.” Is that true? And, if so, what would that have entailed exactly? Or was that just some BS you were spewing?
Listen, I was throwing a Hail Mary. I was just swinging for the fences. I was trying to get to stay in the game immediately. I said, “Oh my God, if I get out of this now, I have to go and tell everybody, ‘Listen, I’m not a Traitor. I’m not helping ’em out.’” I knew it was going to be a tough road for me because of what I said. But I’m telling you, Dalton, as soon as we left, as I left, I went: You know what I should have said? I should have said, “I’m not talking to the Traitors. I’m talking to all the Faithful. I’m a Faithful, I only throw out one name and I’m in here. So if I’m gone, that person’s a Traitor.” And then I’m going back and thinking: Well, what if she wasn’t a Traitor? And then they take me out. So I don’t know, man. I’m all over the place. Yo, that game is hard, man. Traitors is really hard.
Jeremy Collins on ‘The Traitors’.
Euan Cherry/Peacock
Yeah, talk about not being able to trust anyone. You’re used to it on the island, but this is a whole other level. So you were teary after being eliminated as you talked about wanting to provide for your family, but look, I play fantasy football against you. I know how competitive you are. How much of your pain in that moment was simply a competitor who just lost a big game?
So this is what these reality shows do to me. They know what gets me, and it’s my family. So they started talking to me about my family, and that always gets me. But I was more frustrated in myself and I am like, “What did I do wrong? Did I mess up? Where did I talk too much? Where did I not talk enough?” So it was all in my head. I was really disappointed in myself. And I thought I could have gone really far in the game. I never think I’m going to win, but I always think I’m going to make a good push towards the end. And then once you get to the end, anything can happen. It’s like fantasy football.
What’s some stuff that happened out there about your game that didn’t make it to TV?
I will say the car rides are the biggest thing because they say, “Alright, group up, get into cars.” And it’s huge to see who’s grouping up with who and jumping into cars with each other. Derrick is my guy. And there was a car ride where I was talking to Tony and I said, “I’ll jump in with you.” And Derrick came over right after and he’s like, “Hey, you want to get in the car?” And I said, “Oh, I’m already with Tony.” And I should have said, “You know what? I’m good with Tony. I don’t need to talk to Tony. Let me go with Derrick.”
‘The Traitors’ season 3 cast and host Alan Cumming.
Euan Cherry/Peacock
Whom else did you want to work with besides Derrick if you’d stayed in the game?
I wanted Derrick. I wanted Nikki. I thought me and Robyn were good. I thought I got a good read on Robyn. I knew she wasn’t a Traitor, and she was just kind of easy to read. She’s just out in the open. Dolores was kind of easy to read. I wanted to work with everybody, but I couldn’t even get my alliance going. With so many people, you’ve got to just play with everybody until you can kind of figure it out towards the end when it gets weaned down.
Anything surprise you watching the show back on TV?
I was surprised that Dylan jumped on Bob the Drag Queen so fast. After Dorinda was gone, I watched Bob come in, and he didn’t even look up at the board to see who was murdered. Didn’t even look. And he was just like, “Oh, what? And I looked at him, I was like, ‘Yo, he didn’t even look. How does he even know? He’s a Traitor.’”
And then I talked to him for five minutes. I have a twin brother who is gay, and I was like “Bob’s just like my twin brother. That’s just who he is. He’s not a Traitor.” I wish I talked to Dylan more. I think if me and Dylan got on the same page, we could have done some things. So seeing a lot of things that Dylan is doing, I like that. But the castle’s big and there’s a lot of stuff that you don’t see.
In the latest season of “The Traitors,” Jeremy Collins opened up about how his history with Boston Rob ultimately led to his downfall in the game.
Collins, who previously played alongside Boston Rob in “Survivor: Winners at War,” revealed that their previous alliance and friendship made him a target among the other players. Despite his best efforts to distance himself from Boston Rob, the damage had already been done.
“I tried to separate myself from Boston Rob and prove that I could play my own game, but the other players just couldn’t see past our history together,” Collins said in a confessional. “It ultimately led to my blindside and elimination from the game.”
Fans of the show were shocked to see Collins, a fan-favorite player, get taken out of the game so early. Many took to social media to express their disappointment and frustration with how things played out for him.
Despite his early exit, Collins remains optimistic about his experience on “The Traitors” and is grateful for the opportunity to play the game once again. Only time will tell if he will get another chance to redeem himself in future seasons.

After being murdered on The Traitors, Jeremy Collins weighed in on that shocking banishment twist — and what it means for Rob “Boston Rob” Marianomoving forward.
“I think Wes [Bergmann] sussed it out real quick and now he’s just passing that around. So I think Rob is skating on the ice again,” Jeremy noted. “Rob, you should have worked with me and this wouldn’t be happening right now. Because I would have been like, ‘He’s not a Traitor. He’s good. Leave him alone.”
Jeremy suggested that Boston Rob “watch out now” because he has “people coming for” him, adding, “Derrick [Levasseur] actually would tell me, ‘Listen, I’m not a Traitor but one of those other two that came in are Traitor — Wes or Boston Rob. He’s telling people so Rob is now in trouble. He has to watch out now.”
Survivor hasn’t done a Faithfuls vs. Traitors theme yet, but this season of The Traitors could be an adequate substitute. Four players from the long-running CBS hit reality show are battling it out on season 3 of The Traitors, including three former winners and a recent fan favorite. Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano, Tony Vlachos, Jeremy […]
The newest episode, which premiered on Thursday, January 17, kicked off with a murder in plain sight when the Traitors — Bob the Drag Queen, Danielle Reyes, Carolyn Wiger and Boston Rob — wrote three names down to be on the shortlist. Jeremy, Nikki Bella and Ciara Miller were the final choices, but it was the Survivor alum who didn’t make it.
Jeremy Collins, ‘Boston’ Rob MarianoPEACOCK (2)
“I forgive everybody. I’m a gamer so there’s no hard feelings on anything,” Jeremy told Us about being murdered in the fourth episode. “I do like that Carolyn was crying though. I had her back. We had a really good sit-down and I was like, ‘Carolyn, you shouldn’t worry about anybody else. You are a beautiful soul. Don’t let anyone stop your shine.’ I just think it was bad gameplay because I had all three of their backs.”
Jeremy does have one regret. After Jeremy, Nikki, 40, and Ciara, 28, were put in coffins before the Traitors chose who to murder, they were given the chance to plead their case. Jeremy surprised his fellow contestants when he said he would help the Traitors if he was kept around — despite his status as a Faithful.
“It was a twist that I wasn’t prepared for. I didn’t think I was going to be in there right away. I go in and then I’m like, ‘OK, one of these other two are Traitors.’ So I’m running that through my mind, and then [host Alan Cumming] tells us the rules of what’s going to happen,” he recalled. “A lot of stuff is going on. I said that I would help the Traitors if they save me.”
Rob Mariano and Alan Cumming on ‘The Traitors’Euan Cherry/Peacock
Jeremy continued: “As soon as I say it, I’m like, ‘Damn, I shouldn’t have said that. Now if they do save me now I have to go and fix it with 20 other people right now.’ It was a lot going on. Then as soon as I was out of the coffin, I thought how I should have said, ‘I don’t talk much, but I did name one person that if I’m gone tomorrow, that person is the Traitor.’”
“I do a lot of listening and watching. I wish I did that a little bit more,” he said before sharing a story about how his game plan shifted. “That’s how we work in Survivor. We get alliances and I usually don’t do that in my survival game. I would go to each one individually and talk to them [but not in groups]. I think I just talked too much, that’s all.”
But when it comes to Boston Rob, 48, Jeremy doesn’t think he would have had any success even if he tried a different approach, adding, “I played with Rob before on Survivor and I wanted to work with him on The Traitors. … But he never wanted to work with me, ever. So coming into this, I was like, ‘Let’s work together.’ And that’s who he is. He doesn’t want to work with me. So he doesn’t play well and he doesn’t share his toys.”
Jeremy still had a great time watching Boston Rob turn on Bob the Drag Queen, 38, even though the Traitors were on the same team.
Thank You!

“I thought it was great television. If they kept me — if Bob kept me — I would’ve been on Bob’s side,” Jeremy told Us. “I would’ve fought for Bob. I just think I was gone too soon, and I think it was a bad decision. If I waited one more [challenge] and that happened, it would’ve blown open the game and I would’ve been off and running.”
New episodes of The Traitors will be released on Peacock Thursdays until March 6.
With reporting by Christina Garibaldi
In a shocking turn of events on Survivor: Winners at War, Jeremy Collins, known for his strategic gameplay and strong alliances, has questioned the banishment twist that ultimately led to Boston Rob’s elimination from the game.
In a recent interview, Collins expressed his doubts about the fairness of the twist, stating, “I understand the need for big moves and twists in the game, but banishing someone without giving them a chance to fight for their spot feels a bit unfair. Boston Rob is a legend in the game and deserved a fair shot at redemption.”
The banishment twist, introduced in this season, allows the winning tribe to banish a member from the losing tribe to the Edge of Extinction without giving them a chance to compete in a challenge to stay in the game.
Collins’ comments have sparked a debate among fans and former players, with some questioning the integrity of the twist and others defending it as a necessary element of the game.
As the game continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the banishment twist will impact the remaining players and the overall outcome of the season. Stay tuned for more updates on Survivor: Winners at War.

The snowstorm that will hit Massachusetts Sunday night takes shape as a coastal low that tracks near the benchmark.
The benchmark is at 40/70 on coordinates on a map, where we can pinpoint the severity of a storm and how big of an impact it will have in the Northeast.
This storm is pretty quick-moving, so this is a moderate to high impact storm in terms of snowfall, without the coastal flooding or widespread wind damage.
The entire day remains dry, with some clouds and pretty calm conditions. But late afternoon, the storm strengthens off the Carolina coast and heads northeast.
By 2 p.m., a few snow showers move into Connecticut.
As the low strengthens and passes by offshore Sunday evening, it swings in more wind and snow.
Boston’s main snow event looks to be from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Monday.

The coastal front sets up across Cape Ann, Boston and Providence, and that means the Cape sees all rain Sunday evening, while northwest of Interstate 495, it’s all snow. That rain/snow line then moves southeast overnight.
The back half of the storm is where we get the coating to 2 inches of snow for the Cape & Islands with slush.
Meanwhile in Boston, we see steady snowfall for several hours and for areas inland Sunday night.
Snow rates will reach as high as 1-2 inches per hour across New England.
By Monday morning, we plow out of 4-8 inches of snow in Boston, and some areas will pick up 8 inches of snow north and west of Route 128 based on fluffier snow consistency inland.

The latest expected snowfall totals across the Greater Boston area — the city is forecast for 4-8 inches, while the Merrimack Valley and other parts could get 10 inches.
The storm tapers and moves away early Monday morning. This leads to more arctic air and highs in the 20s by afternoon.
Temperatures will crash down as early as midnight in Boston, to the teens by sunrise Monday. Watch for icy roads and quick snow accumulations then.
Wind and coastal impacts:
As is typical with an offshore low, we have a period of northeast wind gusts from 4 p.m. to midnight.
The pressure center lowers enough for gusts up to 30-40 mph at the coast, with inland spots up to 20 mph overnight Sunday. While this isn’t quite damaging wind, it will be a nuisance wind on top of period of heavy snow.
Massachusetts road crews started preparing a day early for the winter storm expected to bring 4-8 inches of snow to the Boston area, says Jonathan Gulliver, MassDOT’s highway administrator.

The wind turns more north, northwest from midnight to sunrise Monday, with gusts 40-45 mph across Cape Cod.
The shoreline will see some erosion on beaches when waves increase Monday morning as the low departs to the Canadian Maritimes. No coastal flooding is expected since tides are astronomically low.
10-day weather outlook:
Prepare for some wicked cold after the storm leaves.
The coldest air in two years creeps in Monday, with highs in the 20s, but there’s more.
Highs fall to the teens Tuesday and Wednesday, with lows around zero in southern New England. Wind chills are expected to be below zero Tuesday through Thursday.

We modify temps later next week as nearby storm systems bring in some precipitation chances to the northeast.
