  • Bravas Remain Undefeated, Bravos Host Cruz Azul

FC Juarez Bravas went on the road for the first time in the 2025 clausura season and played Chivas de Guadalajara to a scoreless draw on Thursday night. The result keeps the Bravas undefeated on the season after three matches. They won their first two matches at home versus Puebla and Necaxa.

It was a hard fought match with plenty of back and forth up until the 67th minute when Chivas fullback Diana Rodriguez received a second yellow card that led to a red card. Still, FC Juarez was unable to capitalize on the one-player advantage they had in the final 20+ minutes of the match to put the ball in the back of the net. When all was said and done the goalkeepers for each team, Blanca Felix for Chivas and Christina Holguin for Bravas, were vital to the result and both had a couple of superior saves on net the help keep each of their teams with a clean sheet.

The Bravas have yet to concede a goal this season, in over 270 minutes of play.

With this latest result the Bravas have moved up to fourth place in the general standings table, having obtained seven points after three matches as a result of two wins and one draw. Ahead of them in the standings is Club America with nine points as a result of winning all three of their matches and Pachuca and Chivas who also have seven points but are head of FC Juarez due to goal differential.

    What’s next for the Bravas?

Up next for the Bravas will be a home match on Monday afternoon against Pumas. The Pumas will come into the match fresh off of a dominating 5-1 win against Santos Laguna. They are two places behind the Bravas, in 6th place with two wins and a loss thus far this season.

The match will kickoff at Benito Juarez Olympic Stadium at 3:45 pm. The time was moved up earlier in the day due to inclement weather expected to hit the Borderland on Monday. The match will be streamed on FC Juarez official YouTube Channel.

    Bravos host Cruz Azul

FC Juarez will host their 2025 clausura season home opener Saturday afternoon when they host Cruz Azul. Cruz Azul finished in first place in the general standings table last season before making an early exit in the playoffs. Both teams came into Saturday afternoon’s match with a season opening draw with identical circumstances. The Bravas tied 1-1 at Mazatlan last Friday, while Cruz Azul also played Atlas to a 1-1 draw at home. Both teams took the lead in the first half and into the locker room at halftime only to concede the equalizer halfway through the second half to their opponent.

Saturday’s match will be the home debut of Bravos new technical director/head coach Martin Varini. The Uruguayan, Varini, was introduced as the club’s new technical director/head coach on November 29th. He is 33 years old, making him the youngest head coach in all of Mexico’s first division.

Fans in attendance on Saturday will experience Benito Juarez Olympic Stadium’s new cashless system. Prior to the start of the season opener last week, Luis Rodriguez, the Executive President of FC Juarez spoke with the media in what he jokingly called a ‘State of the Union’ address. In his conference he held an open forum where he addressed all matters having to do with both the male and female teams for FC Juarez. He commented on the decision to go ‘cashless’ at all FC Juarez games and what he expects that experience to be like for fans moving forward.

Rodriguez also commented on the club’s departure and termination of their contract with Fox Sports Mexico and why the decision was made. The El Paso native said the team is actively talking with other television networks to see what provider will broadcast their home matches. On Thursday of this week the club announced that TV Azteca will be the Bravos television partner moving forward in Mexico. Nothing will change stateside as the Bravos home matches will continue to be broadcast on Fox Deportes, while certain matches will be picked up by FS1 and FS2 in English.

Saturday’s home opener scheduled for 4 p.m. will be picked up by FS1 and be broadcast in English while also being televised in Spanish by FOX Deportes.

  • Jon Hamm On Being The “Male Nicole Kidman,” If ‘Landman’ Will Get Season 2 & Why Dorit Kemsley Of Bravo’s ‘RHOBH’ Is “Not Doing For Me”

Jon Hamm On Being The “Male Nicole Kidman,” If ‘Landman’ Will Get Season 2 & Why Dorit Kemsley Of Bravo’s ‘RHOBH’ Is “Not Doing For Me”

Jon Hamm is giving his hot takes on the latest drama from Bravo and revealed if Landman was getting a second season.

The Mad Men alum appeared on CNN‘s New Year’s Eve special and host Andy Cohen wasted no time getting the actor to spill the tea.

Cohen noted that Hamm is the “male Nicole Kidman” as he accumulated a lot of acting credits throughout 2024 with appearances on Landman, The Morning Show, Fargo, one of the lead voices on Fox’s Grimsburg, and Apple TV+’s upcoming Your Friends and Neighbors.

The Watch What Happens Live host asked Hamm if he should “share a little bit more,” to which he replied, “Listen, I’m achieving peak, Kidman. I think you called it. I love it. It’s all I can do. I love working. I get to work on great stuff and why not me? I vote yes, more me.”

Hamm is a fan of The Real Housewives, and when Cohen asked what his takeaway was from the current season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, he took the opportunity to air his grievances.

“OK, I have some thoughts. Dorit [Kemsley] is not doing it for me these days. I’m having some issues with her mentality and her issues,” Hamm said.

Kemsley has been activated in the current season of RHOBH and has been more vocal than in the past seasons. The Bravo star has been feuding with her co-star Kyle Richards and revealed that she has marital issues with her husband PK.

Hamm is a fan of the Bravo universe in general and also said he wanted to “pour one out” to Summer House star Paige DeSorbo and Southern Charm star Craig Conover, who recently announced they had split up after three years.

“My goodness. End of an era. Geez,” Hamm said.

Cohen also asked if there was a possibility that Taylor Sheridan’s Landman was getting a second season, to which Hamm said, “I’m hoping. Stay tuned. That’s all I can say.”

Jon Hamm On Being The “Male Nicole Kidman,” If ‘Landman’ Will Get Season 2 & Why Dorit Kemsley Of Bravo’s ‘RHOBH’ Is “Not Doing For Me”

In a recent interview, Jon Hamm opened up about being compared to the legendary actress Nicole Kidman. The Mad Men star expressed his admiration for Kidman’s talent and versatility, stating that he is honored to be considered the “male Nicole Kidman.”

When asked about the possibility of a second season for his hit show ‘Landman,’ Hamm remained tight-lipped but hinted that fans may have something to look forward to in the future. He teased, “We’re definitely exploring some exciting new storylines and character developments, so stay tuned.”

However, when the conversation turned to Dorit Kemsley of Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,’ Hamm didn’t hold back. “I have to be honest, Dorit is just not doing it for me,” he admitted. “I find her antics and drama to be a bit too over-the-top for my taste. I prefer more subtle and authentic personalities on reality TV.”

It’s clear that Jon Hamm has strong opinions when it comes to his TV viewing habits and the performances of his peers. Whether it’s being compared to a Hollywood icon or critiquing a reality TV star, Hamm is never afraid to speak his mind. Stay tuned for more updates on ‘Landman’ and Jon Hamm’s latest projects.
