  • Breaking Down the Family Tree

There will be plenty of familiar faces in the crowd, when President-elect Donald Trump is sworn in Monday at the U.S. Capitol for his second administration.

But the inner working and relations of Trump extended family can get a little thorny and may take some deciphering, so WWD created a cheat sheet to break down the family tree. The past and future president and his late wife Ivana had three children – Don Jr., 47, Ivanka, 43, and Eric, 41. Trump and his second wife Marla Maples have a daughter, Tiffany. And the 78-year-old politician and his current wife Melania have one son, Barron.

A telegenic personality and tough businesswoman in her own right, Ivana Trump never eschewed her married name even after the couple’s much-publicized divorce in 1992. In the 1993 feature film “The First Wives Club,” she famously declared “And remember…don’t get mad – get everything.” In 2022, Ivana Trump died at the age of 73, after a fall in her Upper East Side apartment.

Maples married Trump in 1993 after the birth of their daughter and the pair divorced in 1999. Some might know the 61-year-old Maples, a former model and actress, from her stint on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

Don. Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa have five children, Kai, 17, Donald III, 15, Tristan, 13, Spencer, 12, and Chloe, 10. Donald Trump Jr.’s day job is executive vice president of the Trump Organization. Kai is a competitive high school golfer, who has verbally committed to playing at the University of Miami. With 952,000 followers on Instagram, the athlete has been showing off her swing there for a while. She also has 697,000 followers on her YouTube channel. Announcing her verbal commitment to the University of Miami on Instagram, Kai Trump thanked her parents, and her grandfather for giving her “access to great courses and tremendous support.” (That would be golf courses as in ones at Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, VA., where the family had a reception and fireworks display Saturday night.)

Although the soon-to-be college athlete is not yet old enough to vote, she spoke at last summer’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee wearing a Nordstrom dress. The teenager is also a fan of Ralph Lauren, considering a post last month of her wearing one of the designer’s American flag sweaters received 199,000 likes.

In addition to Vanessa Trump, a former model who is 47, Don’s Jr’s former fiancé Kimberly Guilfoyle will also be in the mix Monday. Last month, the time the couple nixed their wedding plans, Guilfoyle, a former Fox News personality, was appointed U.S. ambassador to Greece. (Other political watchers may recall from years ago that the 55-year-old was romantically linked to the Governor of California Gavin Newsom, during his time as mayor of San Francisco.) Guilfoyle and Eric Trump’s wife share a fondness for the Miami-based fashion designer Oscar Garcia-Lopez, who has created their custom gowns for Monday night’s Inaugural Balls.

Don Jr.’s current paramour Bettina Anderson, a former model and Palm Beach socialite, is reportedly expected to be on the inaugural scene Monday too.

Ivanka Trump, a Wharton grad and businesswoman, and her husband Jared Kushner, 44, are no longer part of the President-elect’s advisors, as they were during the first Trump administration. The Miami-based couple have three children – Arabella Rose, 13, Joseph, 11, and Theodore, who is eight. Kushner’s father Jared was tapped in November by the President-elect as ambassador to France. Fashion types know the Kushner name for nonpolitical reasons, Kushner’s investor brother Joshua, co-founder of Thrive Capital, is married to model and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss. Through their holding company Bedford Media, the enterprising duo announced last year they plan to revive Life magazine in print, digital and video streams through a deal with Dotdash Meredith.

    Lara Trump

Eric Trump acts as executive vice president of the Trump Organization. Lara Trump, a triathlete and former associate producer at “Inside Edition,” previously served as co-chair of the Republican National Convention. The 42-year-old North Carolina native gave up her Florida Senate bid last month. A few weeks back she took to a different stage – singing her rendition of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down,” during the New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago. She and Eric have a seven-year-old son Eric and a five-year-old daughter Carolina.

Tiffany Trump, 31, an alum of Georgetown University’s Law School, is married to the businessman Michael Boulos. Last month, the incoming president named Boulos’ father Massad to be an advisor on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs.

Perhaps the passage of time since the first Trump administration is most measurable by the President-elect’s youngest son Barron. Now a student at New York University, the year-old is unmissable at 6’9.” But don’t look for the college freshman to be hanging around the White House any time soon. He still has the second semester of his first year to complete in Manhattan. Once described by his father as “a high aptitude child,” and photographed wearing a T-shirt imprinted with “The Expert” in 2017, Barron Trump has upped his look to custom suits that he personally chooses.

  • Three ways Democrats are breaking with tradition

    Getty Images Michelle ObamaGetty Images

Michelle Obama’s team say she will not attend Trump’s swearing-in

The very first US presidential inauguration, of George Washington in 1789, birthed traditions that are still observed nearly to this day – such as an oath of office and an inaugural address.

Four years ago, conventions that had been observed for generations were shattered. Republican Donald Trump became the first former president for more then 150 years to skip the swearing-in of his successor, as he raged about the result of an election that he falsely claimed he had won.

Fast forward to 2025, and Trump will ceremonially return to the White House on 20 January – a date enshrined in the US Constitution.

Democrats have contrasted the orderly transfer of power this time around with the violence and dysfunction of four years ago when the Capitol riot occurred. But in smaller ways they, too, are breaking with tradition.

    Michelle Obama ducks inauguration

It was announced this week that former First Lady Michelle Obama would not join her husband, Barack, at the 47th president’s inauguration on Monday.

On Thursday, former House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she would skip it, too. Other Democrats are also expected to avoid the ceremony, though they have not so far organised a formal boycott as they did for Trump’s first inauguration in 2017.

No reason was given in the brief statement from the Obamas’ office. The announcement came just days after Mrs Obama did not attend the funeral of another former US President, Jimmy Carter, where her husband was seen chatting with Trump.

Other living former first ladies attended Carter’s funeral – and Mrs Obama has been present for the two other inaugurations since her husband left office, including Trump’s first swearing-in in 2017. She later said she had not enjoyed that occasion, citing a lack of diversity on stage.

Trump, too, broke a 150-year-old tradition last time – as he refused to attend the inauguration of Joe Biden after the Republican baselessly claimed he lost because of mass voter fraud.

Harris not hosting Vance at VP residence

Outgoing Vice-President Kamala Harris has not extended the traditional invitation to her successor, JD Vance, to meet at the VP’s residence in Washington DC, according to sources who spoke to the BBC’s US partner, CBS News.

Harris was said to have been consumed with other matters, including the response to devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. There has been no official comment from either side.

This is another tradition that also appears to have been passed over four years ago, when Harris took over from Mike Pence.

In the bad blood that followed the 2020 election, there was no formal sit-down between the pair, according to CBS.

The Harris team claimed no invitation was ever sent – something that’s disputed by the Pence camp, which said a discreet offer was made.

No farewell press conference for Biden

With just days left in the White House, Biden looks unlikely to maintain the modern convention of taking reporters’ questions in an exit press conference.

That was performed by George W Bush and Obama, but not by Trump in the acrimony after the 2020 election.

Biden’s team has long insisted he interacts regularly with the media – and could point to the fact he gave a major address on Wednesday night, or that he is due to appear on Thursday in a final sit-down interview with MSNBC.

But during his term, the outgoing president has done fewer news conferences than any other for decades – delivering a yearly average of just 9.4, according to the American Presidency Project at the University of Santa Barbara.

    1. Embracing progressive policies: Democrats are increasingly moving towards more progressive policies, such as Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and criminal justice reform. This marks a departure from the more moderate stance the party has historically taken on these issues.
    2. Diversifying leadership: Democrats are breaking with tradition by elevating a more diverse group of leaders within the party. This includes more women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community taking on key roles in shaping the party’s agenda and messaging.
    3. Rejecting corporate influence: Democrats are increasingly rejecting corporate donations and influence in favor of grassroots fundraising and support. This shift away from corporate money marks a departure from the traditional reliance on big donors and special interests within the party.

  • NFL divisional round previews: Predictions and breaking down all 4 matchups

Plenty of people will tell you the best weekend of football all year, from a quality and stakes perspective game-to-game, is the NFL’s divisional round.

    Now, it’s here.

On Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET, the Kansas City Chiefs will formally open their postseason quest to win an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl title against the Houston Texans. Then, Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET, the Detroit Lions will begin their playoff quest to reach and win that elusive first Super Bowl in franchise history against rookie sensation Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders.

Sunday’s action begins at 3 p.m. ET as the Philadelphia Eagles play host to the Los Angeles Rams, and the weekend finishes with arguably the game of the year thus far as MVP frontrunners collide with Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills hosting Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens.

Who will win? What will be the X factors?

Yahoo Sports NFL writer Frank Schwab breaks down all four games. Click the matchup link to read the individual game preview. (Click the matchup to read the individual preview.)

It wasn’t that long ago that the Chiefs beat the Texans 27-19 in Week 16. A big factor in that game for Kansas City, and late in the season as a whole, was rookie Xavier Worthy. Worthy had seven catches for 65 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs’ path to winning that game wasn’t complicated: They ran the ball effectively, Patrick Mahomes had an efficient day, Worthy was highlighted and the defense played well, including two interceptions of Texans QB C.J. Stroud. The Texans need to play a very, very good game against the Chiefs to win. Kansas City should win if it just plays like it normally does.

Among the many Lions injuries this season, it seemed like running back David Montgomery was headed to season-ending surgery due to a knee injury. But the injury wasn’t as bad as first feared and the Lions are confident Montgomery will play this week. It’s really hard to stop the Lions’ rushing attack when both Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are at full strength. Will Montgomery look like his typical self? That would be bad news for a Commanders defense that was 28th in the NFL in yards per run allowed.

The first time the Rams and Eagles played, Saquon Barkley had one of the best rushing games ever. Barkley had 255 yards on the ground, the ninth-most in NFL history. That game might have been a wake-up call for the Rams’ defense. Since then they’ve allowed a reasonable 104.1 rushing yards per game. The Eagles want to control the game with Barkley and their offensive line. The Rams can’t let the Eagles run wild again. If they contain Philadelphia’s ground game, they might have a shot at an upset.

If you play this game 100 times, each side might win 50. It’s a fantastic, even matchup between two teams with great quarterbacks and other similar strengths. Though the regular-season matchup was a long time ago and it seems unlikely that it will mirror what we see on Sunday night, it’s hard to ignore that the Ravens absolutely dominated the Bills. They outgained Buffalo 427 to 236. It was the only time the Bills lost by more than one score all season, and they lost it by 25. It’s one of only three times since Allen’s rookie season of 2018 that the Bills have lost by 20 or more. Does that matter for the rematch?

As the NFL playoffs continue, the divisional round is set to kick off with four exciting matchups. Here’s a breakdown of each game and my predictions for who will come out on top:

    1. Green Bay Packers vs. Los Angeles Rams:
The Packers, led by MVP frontrunner Aaron Rodgers, will face off against the tough Rams defense led by Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. While the Rams have a strong defense, I believe Rodgers will be able to outduel them and lead the Packers to victory. Prediction: Packers win.

    2. Buffalo Bills vs. Baltimore Ravens:
This matchup features two dynamic young quarterbacks in Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. The Ravens have been on a hot streak as of late, but I think the Bills’ high-powered offense will be too much for them to handle. Prediction: Bills win.

    3. Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cleveland Browns:
The defending Super Bowl champions will take on the surprising Browns, who pulled off a huge upset against the Steelers in the wild card round. While the Browns have been playing well, the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are just too explosive on offense. Prediction: Chiefs win.

    4. New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
This matchup between division rivals Drew Brees and Tom Brady is sure to be a thrilling one. The Saints have had the upper hand in their previous two meetings this season, and I think they will come out on top once again. Prediction: Saints win.

Overall, I predict the Packers, Bills, Chiefs, and Saints to advance to the conference championship round. It should be an exciting weekend of football, and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

  • Throwback: When Kate Winslet Revealed One Common Thing She Had With Her Character in Lee; Claims ‘I’m Constantly Breaking Rules’

Kate Winslet has been heavily lauded for her character of a war photographer in her latest release, Lee. In a throwback interview with Deadline, the actress opened up about the one common factor between her in real life and her character in the movie.

The Titanic star went on to claim that she is the one who would break the rules, and Lee, whom she portrayed in the biopic, would do the same.

While sitting down for a conversation with the media portal, the actress was asked, “Lee didn’t accept the rules. Is there some way that you personally have had to do that that has really impacted your life?”

Before responding, Winslet went on to laugh at the question. The actress then said, “I don’t know why I’m laughing. I guess I’m laughing because I feel like I’m constantly breaking rules.”

She further revealed that the rules do not particularly mean in the disciplinary aspect but in the field of societal norms.

The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind star went on to state, “I mean, it’s about breaking through societal norms. It’s about looking a certain way on screen that feels truthful and not airbrushed out, watered down, or softened in any way just for the sake of making film, because perhaps that’s what people might expect. Life isn’t necessarily a pretty picture.”

She continued to reveal, “For most people, it isn’t, and for me, it certainly wasn’t. And I believe in that, in telling stories, and I certainly believed in that, in making the film and making this film about Lee.”

As for her portrayal of Lee in the movie, the actress went on to receive a Golden Globes nomination.

In a recent throwback interview, Kate Winslet shared a surprising revelation about her character in the film “Lee” and how she relates to her in a unique way. The Oscar-winning actress claimed that she and her character share one common trait – they are both constantly breaking rules.

Winslet opened up about her character in the film, describing her as a rebellious and non-conformist individual who doesn’t always play by the rules. She explained that she was drawn to the role because she saw a lot of herself in the character, particularly in her tendency to challenge authority and defy expectations.

“I think I’ve always been someone who doesn’t like to follow the status quo,” Winslet said in the interview. “I’m constantly pushing boundaries and breaking rules, just like my character in Lee. It’s liberating to play someone who isn’t afraid to go against the grain and do things her own way.”

The actress went on to discuss how she approaches her work in a similar fashion, always looking for new challenges and opportunities to push herself creatively. She admitted that she enjoys taking risks and stepping outside of her comfort zone, much like her character in the film.

Fans of Winslet will undoubtedly be intrigued by this insight into the actress’s personal connection to her characters. It seems that her rebellious spirit and willingness to break rules have not only shaped her on-screen performances but also her approach to life in general.

  • Walter White’s House From Breaking Bad Listed for $4 Million Amid Non-stop Fan Visits

Walter White’s House From Breaking Bad Listed for $4 Million Amid Non-stop Fan Visits

The home of Walter White, famously featured on the show Breaking Bad, is now on the market, PEOPLE can confirm.

The four-bedroom, one-bathroom, 1,910 sq. ft. home located in Albuquerque, N.M. was just listed with a hefty $4 million dollar price tag. Per Zillow, the estimated market value of the suburban, ranch-style home is $343,100.

David Christensen and Sonya Avila of Christensen Group | eXp Realty Luxury and Ryan Johnston of InterPhase Entertainment currently hold the listing.

According to local outlet KOB 4 Eyewitness News, the iconic residence has been drawing in tourists from all over the world since the hit drama series, starring Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, ended in 2013. Fans reportedly take pictures outside the property all day and night, but no one is ever allowed inside, the outlet reports.

    christensen group

However, one of the current owners, Joanne Quintana, who grew up in the home with her siblings, recently invited KOB 4 cameras inside for the first time.

According to Quintana, her late parents, Fran and Louis Padilla, bought the house back in 1973. One random knock at the door in 2006 would lead to their house becoming part of television history.

    christensen group

“My mother never ever answers the door, and she did, “ Quintana told the outlet. “They introduced themselves and handed her a card and said, ‘We would like to use your house for a pilot.’” After the family confirmed the project was the real deal, they granted permission and filming began two weeks later.

According to KOB 4, the family only got paid an unspecified fee per shoot and does not receive residuals from the show.

“We were, like anybody, it’s a once in a lifetime thing. You got to meet the actors, the actresses, you got to see how they set up the equipment and what it all takes,”  said Quintana.

The family also has their fair share of memories involving some of the talent, notably Cranston, who plays White. Fran often provided cookies for the cast and crew, but Cranston never really got to enjoy them, for a good reason.

    Frank Ockenfels 3/AMC

“What was funny was Bryan Cranston could not eat one cookie,” Quintana recalls. “Because he had cancer in the show, so he was losing weight. So he would pass, but everybody, all the directors, all the writers, would eat the cookies.” He finally indulged on the last day of filming, she says, and even took a picture “holding my mom’s biscotti.”

Breaking Bad went on to be an Emmy Award-winning sensation with five seasons totally 62 episodes, bringing unexpected attention to the quiet street.

“The fans started coming. We would go out there, my mother and I, and we would take pictures with them,” Quintana shared of the early days of the show’s recognition.

The constant attention, however, soon became overwhelming for the family, with some fans taking things too far with practical jokes related to the show.

One one occasion, Quintana recalls, “Around 4:30 in the morning, the doorbell rang, my mom got up and opened the door, and it was a package” addressed to Walter white. The family called authorities, which led to a bomb squad being sent to the home.

Soon, they were forced to beef up security around the house, including a fence and motion-sensor cameras. “My brothers said, that’s it, we’re done, fence is going up. That’s too close for comfort, the front door,” Quintana said.

Quintana told the outlet that an average of 300 cars would drive by the property per day. Eventually, taking care of her aging parents, who were in hospice in their later days, became too much to juggle.

While she doesn’t share a reason for the sale, the family’s relationship with the show’s enthusiastic fandom has undoubtedly been a factor.

“This was our family home from 1973, almost 52 years. So we’re going to walk away with just our memories,” Quintana told the outlet. “It’s time to move on. We’re done. There’s no reason to fight anymore.”

Breaking Bad fans, get ready to say goodbye to Walter White’s iconic house as it hits the market for a whopping $4 million. The Albuquerque home, which served as the backdrop for the hit TV show, has become a mecca for fans looking to snap a photo or take a tour of the infamous residence.

Despite the non-stop fan visits, the current owners have decided to sell the property, citing the constant intrusion on their privacy. The 3,500 square foot home features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a detached two-car garage.

While the asking price may seem steep, the allure of owning a piece of television history is sure to attract interest from die-hard Breaking Bad enthusiasts. So if you’ve ever dreamed of living in Walter White’s shoes (or at least his house), now’s your chance to make it a reality. But act fast, because this piece of pop culture history won’t stay on the market for long.

‘Breaking Bad’ house on sale for $4M with owner Joanne Quintana sick of visiting fans

Too many knockers at this door.

The “Breaking Bad” house has hit the market for a cool $4 million — because the current owner is fed up with fans of the show gawking at her property.

The ranch-style home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was the TV domicile of Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, his wife Skylar, and their son Walt Jr. in the hit show “Breaking Bad,” which aired from 2006 to 2018.

The house Walter White and his family lived in in the show “Breaking Bad” is on the market for $4 million. AP

Current resident Joanne Quintana grew up in the home and was there with her parents when they first began filming the iconic series in the small unassuming abode.

At first the filming was a blessing — a “once in a lifetime thing” that allowed her and her family to witness “the magic of Hollywood,” which included interacting with the entire cast and crew, Quintana told local outlet KOB.

She would even bake cookies for all of the workers and actors for every shoot — but told KOB that Cranston was only able to indulge in one on the last day because his character was suffering from cancer and needed to appear thin.

But that stardust in her eyes soon turned to dirt — as fans of the show started to make pilgrimages to her quiet block.

After initially taking photos with visitors and entertaining the consequences of a famous house, the Quintanas became overrun with strangers and even received unwanted packages at their home, according to the report.

“Around 4:30 in the morning, the doorbell rang, my mom got up and opened the door, and it was a package,” Quintana recalled of one occasion.

The package was addressed to “Walter White” and the family was so concerned they called the bomb squad.

They soon put up a fence — but that did not deter television nerds from driving by and gawking.

“We average 300 cars a day. Come Ballon Fiesta, hundreds of thousands come for balloons. Balloons go up, they come down. Where do they come? Here,” an exasperated Quintana told KOB.

Quintana’s frustration with the looky-loos has gotten the better of her in the past.

The salty homeowner yelled “Get out, you Mexican trash,” at a couple who were filming the house while driving by, in a clip posted to TikTok in 2023, the Daily Mail reported at the time.

Some particularly committed Heisenberg fans even tossed full pizza pies on the roof of the house’s garage in an homage to a classic scene from the show.

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan reprimanded fans for the unsavory meme.

“There is nothing original, or funny, or cool, about throwing a pizza on this lady’s roof,” he said on the “Better Call Saul” podcast back in 2022.

“She is the sweetest lady in the world, and if you are getting on her nerves you are doing something seriously f**king wrong,” he emphasized.

Quintana is asking $4 million for the home. The median price in the Albuquerque area is $400,000, according to the Associated Press.

“This was our family home from 1973, almost 52 years,” she told KOB.

“So we’re going to walk away with just our memories. It’s time to move on. We’re done. There’s no reason to fight anymore.

Breaking Bad fans, listen up! The iconic house featured in the hit TV show is now up for sale for a whopping $4 million. The house, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, belonged to the character Walter White in the show and has become a popular tourist attraction for fans of Breaking Bad.

However, the current owner, Joanne Quintana, is fed up with the constant stream of fans visiting the property. Quintana has stated that she has had to install a fence around the house to keep fans at bay and has even had to deal with people throwing pizzas on her roof, a reference to a memorable scene from the show.

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a piece of Breaking Bad history, now is your chance. But be warned, the new owner will have to deal with the constant attention from fans eager to catch a glimpse of the famous house. Are you up for the challenge?

  • Iconic ‘Breaking Bad’ house up for sale for $4M

Iconic ‘Breaking Bad’ house up for sale for $4M

The iconic house in Albuquerque, known to the world as Walter White’s home in “Breaking Bad,” is officially up for sale for $4 million.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The iconic house in Albuquerque, known to the world as Walter White’s home in “Breaking Bad,” is officially up for sale for $4 million.

The homeowners let KOB 4 take a look, and it’s the first time cameras have ever been allowed inside.

Even more than a decade after the show ended, it still draws tourists from all over the world. Fans take pictures outside day and night, but most people aren’t allowed inside.

Joanne Quintana and her siblings grew up in the northeast Albuquerque home and own it. Their parents, Fran and Louis Padilla, bought it back in 1973.

Then, one random day in 2006, a knock at the door changed their lives.

“My mother never ever answers the door, and she did. They introduced themselves and handed her a card and said, ‘We would like to use your house for a pilot.’ And she’s like, ‘You want to buy a bridge in Brooklyn? What are you talking about?’” said Quintana.

Fiery Fran confirmed that the project was legit, and it was just a pilot, so they took the leap. Two weeks later, filming began.

“We were, like anybody, it’s a once in a lifetime thing. You got to meet the actors, the actresses, you got to see how they set up the equipment and what it all takes,” Quintana said.

Despite popular belief, they only used the inside of the home for gear, and prep – not for scenes.

The family was there for the iconic pizza scene. Joanne says they had boxes of pizzas lining her sidewalk in case Bryan Cranston didn’t get it on the first take, but he nailed it on try one.

For the pivotal scene when Skyler walks into the family’s pool, the family snapped a photo as they filled the pool with 90-degree water to make the actress comfortable.

Fran always had cookies for the crew.

“What was funny was Bryan Cranston could not eat not one cookie. Because he had cancer in the show, so he was losing weight. So he would pass, but everybody, all the directors, all the writers would eat the cookies. The last day of shooting, he takes a picture holding my mom’s biscotti because he finally got to eat her cookies,” said Quintana. “Aaron Paul had to grunt and get angry to get into his character of Jesse. That was awesome. And the magic of Hollywood, nobody will ever get to experience what we did.”

Then the show became an international sensation.

“The fans started coming. We would go out there, my mother and I, and we would take pictures with them,” Quintana said.

But when did it start to get to a point where they had to put the fence up?

“Around 4:30 in the morning, the doorbell rang, my mom got up and opened the door, and it was a package,” said Quintana.

The package was addressed to Walter White at the Padilla family’s home, so they called the bomb squad.

“My brothers said that’s it, we’re done, fence is going up. That’s too close for comfort is the front door,” Quintana said.

Now, cameras alert them when someone is outside.

“We average 300 cars a day. Come Balloon Fiesta, hundreds of thousands come for balloons. Balloons go up, they come down. Where do they come? Here,” said Quintana.

As Quintana’s parents got older, it got harder for her to protect them inside.

“Nobody knew that there was two people very sick, eventually on hospice, and eventually passed away,” Quintana said.

Now, she says it’s finally time to sell.

“This was our family home from 1973, almost 52 years. So we’re going to walk away with just our memories. It’s time to move on. We’re done. There’s no reason to fight anymore,” said Quintana.

Zillow estimates the 1,900-square foot home would go for under $350,000, but the family only got paid a fee per shoot, no residuals.

With the multi-million dollar price tag, the family expects that it won’t be a family home anymore, and they don’t think it should be.

“I hope they make it what the fans want. They want a BnB, they want a museum, they want access to it. Go for it,” Quintana said.

For years, people have shown up with luggage, scammed into thinking they rented the home. A speedo-wearing man paid a thousand dollars for a dip in the pool.

“This is what they want. They want the iconic pool,” said Quintana.

David Christensen with eXp Luxury and Ryan Johnston with InterPhase Entertainment are selling the home. For more information, visit www.walterwhiteshouse.com.

  • Victor Wembanyama prepares for 100th NBA game. Breaking down his historic start

Victor Wembanyama prepares for 100th NBA game. Breaking down his historic start

This is a big milestone weekend for Victor Wembanyama, the San Antonio Spurs star and future of the NBA. Let’s remember he was so hyped as a can’t-miss prospect that the NBA was streaming his French League games on its app the year before he was eligible for the draft. The league gambled a bit on whether he’d be a hit in the NBA, but he’s proven to be that and then some. He was listed at 7-foot-4 a year ago but is listed at 7-foot-3 this season. You cannot convince me he’s not 7-foot-5 and in a long line of players not wanting their accurate height conveyed. Regardless, Wembanyama has completely changed the way we view basketball and what’s possible on the court in a very short amount of time.

How short? Let’s get back to that milestone weekend for Wemby. On Friday night against the Denver Nuggets, Wembanyama will play in his 100th career game. On Saturday, he will turn 21 years old. What he’s accomplished on an individual level as he helps restore an on-court gold standard to the Spurs organization is nothing short of historic. How historic, you ask? Great question! Let’s dive into what Wemby has already done as he enters his 100th career game:

What does his sophomore season look like?

So far, it’s impressive! With the veteran additions of Chris Paul and Harrison Barnes, the Spurs have gone from a bad team led by a young star getting beaten most nights last season to an improved squad very much in the postseason hunt this season. San Antonio is 17-16 and sits ninth in the Western Conference. On an individual level, Wemby’s numbers continue to impress as the 2024-25 season continues:

    • 25.6 points
    • 10.0 rebounds
    • 3.9 assists
    • 3.9 blocks
    • 1.0 steals
    • 3.4 turnovers
    • 48.0 FG percentage
    • 35.5 3-point FG percentage on 9.4 attempts per game
    • 87.9 free-throw percentage

Those are pretty absurd numbers for any player, let alone a 20-year-old. The Spurs are plus-5.2 points per 100 possessions in 920 minutes with Wembanyama on the floor. They drop to minus-7.0 in 669 minutes with him off the floor.

    go-deeper

    GO DEEPER

Wemby takes on patrons in chess at Washington Square Park in NYC

What has he done lately? Is this corner turn sustainable?

We just looked at his sophomore numbers, which are impressive. But much like last season, when Wemby progressively turned the corner to elevate his game to another level, he’s done the same this season. Check out his numbers from the first nine games this season:

    • 17.7 points
    • 9.6 rebounds
    • 2.7 assists
    • 3.7 blocks
    • 1.6 steals
    • 3.4 turnovers
    • 41.3 FG percentage
    • 22.6 3-point FG percentage on 6.9 attempts per game
    • 91.2 free-throw percentage

These are still not bad numbers, outside of his overall shooting percentage and inefficiency from 3. Any second-year player averaging these numbers for an entire sophomore season would’ve still been creating incredible expectations. If Wemby kept those averages, he would’ve joined David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon and Bob McAdoo as the only sophomores in NBA history to average 17 points, nine rebounds, two assists and three blocks. But during the 10th game of the season, the bunsen burner for Wembanyama started scorching in a historic way. These are his numbers since Nov. 9:

    • 29.3 points
    • 10.2 rebounds
    • 4.4 assists
    • 0.8 steals
    • 4.1 blocks
    • 3.4 turnovers
    • 50.4 FG percentage
    • 39.5 3FG percentage on 10.5 attempts per game
    • 86.7 free-throw percentage

What the f—? He’s 20 (as of this being published)! Here’s the list of players in NBA history who have averaged 29 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four blocks in a season:

It’s never happened! It’s probably because the NBA didn’t track blocks when Wilt Chamberlain played, but still! I know what you’re thinking, though. You can’t extrapolate averages over a 19-game stretch and use that as a measurement for an entire season. Sure! Let’s not skew those averages and pretend they’re outright sustainable. Here’s the list of players who have averaged at least 29-10-4-4 over any 19-game stretch:

    • Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did it during the 1975-76 season. He was 28 and in his seventh year in the NBA.
    • David Robinson did it during the 1993-94 season. He was also 28 and in his fifth season.
    • Wemby this season. Again, he’s turning 21 on Saturday and isn’t even halfway through his second season.

I can’t even outright say whether this production is sustainable for two reasons. On one hand, we’ve never seen this happen before. On the other hand, Wembanyama is going to get a lot better than what he is right now. Let’s get into all of the areas where Wembanyama has been different than his peers and the greats who came before him during their first 100 games. These are numbers from Basketball-Reference’s search engine Stathead from the 1984-85 season through present day.

Let’s talk about his scoring prowess

Obviously we’re going off 99 games because Wembanyama’s 100th is on Friday night. He has scored a total of 2,238 points in his career. Since Olajuwon and Michael Jordan debuted in the 1984-85 season, only seven players have scored more points in their first 100 games than Wemby: Jordan (2,721), Zion Williamson (2,524), Robinson (2,476), Shaquille O’Neal (2,427), Luka Dončić (2,332), Allen Iverson (2,258) and Joel Embiid (2,247).

If Wemby scores 21 points or more in Game No. 100 against Denver, only five players will be ahead of him.

    How about his rebounding?

Wemby has grabbed 1,035 rebounds in the NBA. Since the start of the 1984-85 season, only 10 players have grabbed more rebounds through 100 NBA games: O’Neal (1,350), Dikembe Mutombo (1,211), Tim Duncan (1,198), Robinson (1,197), Olajuwon (1,190), Blake Griffin (1,188), Larry Johnson (1,089), Deandre Ayton (1,075), Emeka Okafor (1,069) and Karl-Anthony Towns (1,035).

In his 100th game, Wemby needs only four rebounds to shorten that list to nine players and make the top 10. Also, just to nerd out a bit more, how wild is it that Duncan and Robinson were so close in rebounds through their first 100 games? Especially with the passing the torch aspect of it all? Pretty cool!

    What about his shot-blocking?

Wemby has 364 career blocks. Since the start of the 1984-85 season, only two players have blocked more shots in their first 100 games. Robinson blocked 383 shots by then. The late, great Manute Bol rejected a ridiculous 425 attempts. If we look back a bit more, Wembanyama has more blocks through 100 games than Mark Eaton (342). This is not bad rim-protecting company to be in. Since O’Neal is ahead of Wemby in scoring and rebounding above, it’s worth noting Diesel blocked 349 shots in his first 100 games.

We can’t forget about his passing

For this one, we can go all-time just to provide more context. Wemby has dished out 382 assists. For anybody else listed as a center on Basketball-Reference, only Brad Daugherty had more assists in his first 100 games, racking up 398. It’s worth noting Abdul-Jabbar had 375 in his first 100 games, falling just short of what Wembanyama has already done.

    go-deeper

    GO DEEPER

Amick: Victor Wembanyama’s ‘problems’ are tiny compared to huge things he’s already doing

After that, we’re looking at Clifford Ray (323), Oliver Miller (303) and Embiid (288) as the next closest. They’re not close at all, though. And just for good measure, when removing the big-man qualifier, Wembanyama is 62nd amongst all players in assists through their first 100 games dating back to the 1984-85 season. Wembanyama has more dimes through his first 100 games than Griffin (366), Donovan Mitchell (366), Vince Carter (337), Anthony Edwards (311), Duncan (266), Devin Booker (266), Charles Barkley (214), Robinson (210), O’Neal (192) and Steve Nash (271). Obviously, Nash took a little while to get some playing time before his career exploded into a Hall of Fame campaign, but you get the point by now.

    And the jump-shooting?

In the NBA, Wemby has knocked down 221 3-pointers. Since the start of the 1984-85 season, only nine players have made more 3s through 100 appearances: Brandon Miller (273), Anthony Edwards (258), Keegan Murray (256), Dončić (250), Damian Lillard (235), Saddiq Bey (234), Jalen Green (232), Donovan Mitchell (229) and Lauri Markkanen (228).

Obviously, the game has changed so much during these roughly four decades of 3-point shooting, but Wembanyama has even more 3-pointers made through the first 100 games than Steph Curry (200) and Klay Thompson (204). Not to mention, Ray Allen made 145 in his first 100 NBA games, Reggie Miller had 81 and James Harden hit 121. That’s not to say Wembanyama will end up challenging any of their career shooting exploits, although these last 19 games do raise an eyebrow or two. It’s just a reminder of how much 3-point volume has mutated in recent years.

    go-deeper

    GO DEEPER

Victor Wembanyama becomes fourth-youngest player with 50-point game

Trae Young is currently tied with Wemby, but as long as the Spurs big man makes one 3-pointer against Denver on Friday, he’ll have sole possession of 10th place on this list. If he hits eight, he’ll pass Markkanen and tie Mitchell. By nailing nine, he’ll pass Mitchell and put himself eighth on that list.

    One last bit of context

Let’s say Wemby’s averages of 25.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3.9 blocks hold for the season. At that point, we’re not talking about sophomores in the NBA or just comparing 100-game starts. In the history of the league, he’d be only the third player to average at least 25-10-3-3 for an entire season at any age. Abdul-Jabbar did it twice at 26 and 28. Olajuwon also achieved the feat twice, doing so at 30 and 31.

What’s he going to look like in five years? Ten years? There is no limit to what he can do. There is no precedent to what he’ll become. There are no superlatives that go too far.

Victor Wembanyama, the French basketball prodigy, is set to make his 100th NBA appearance, marking a historic milestone in his young career. The 7-foot-2 center has taken the league by storm since being drafted first overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, and his impact has been felt on both ends of the court.

Wembanyama’s start in the NBA has been nothing short of impressive, averaging a double-double in points and rebounds in his first season. His shot-blocking ability has also been a game-changer for his team, with his long wingspan and impeccable timing disrupting opponents’ offensive flow.

As Wembanyama prepares for his 100th game, let’s break down some of the key moments and stats that have defined his early success in the league:

    – His debut game, where he recorded a triple-double with 20 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 blocks, showcasing his versatility and dominance on the court.
    – His game-winning block against a veteran All-Star player in a crucial playoff game, solidifying his status as a clutch performer in high-pressure situations.
    – His selection to the All-Star team in his rookie season, becoming the youngest player ever to receive such an honor and proving that he belongs among the league’s elite.

Wembanyama’s impact goes beyond just his stat line, as his presence on the court elevates his team’s defense and sets the tone for their success. With his combination of size, skill, and basketball IQ, Wembanyama has the potential to be a generational talent in the NBA.

As he gears up for his 100th game, fans and analysts alike are excited to see what the future holds for Victor Wembanyama and how he will continue to leave his mark on the NBA. Stay tuned for more updates on his historic start and his journey to greatness in the league.
