Burr shared he was not a fan of how the meet and greet went down, and Mandel doubled down
He posted a photo to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday of Burr’s and Corgan’s faces photoshopped onto Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in the poster for the 2008 comedy “Step Brothers.”
The former “Deal or No Deal” host set the post to the Smashing Pumpkins song “Today.”

“Howie did what he did because he is a Hollywood whore and he doesn’t care what happens,” he said on Wednesday.
He added that Mandel “just brings up all that weirdness.”
Eisen asked Burr if he was “pissed” at the fellow comedian, to which Burr responded that he purposely avoids speaking publicly about personal aspects of his life and “did not appreciate” being ambushed.

“Billy’s fine. That’s the first time I ever met him and it was fine or whatever, but I did not appreciate what Howie did,” Burr said. “Not at all.”
But at the end of the day, there are no hard feelings going forward.
“He’s Howie, so he’s sorta hard to hate,” the actor said. “How do you hate a germophobe? He’s like, not threatening. He just walks with his arms in so he doesn’t rub against curtains that he owns … He’s a strange man.”
During the initial interview when Corgan walked in, Burr told Mandel “You’re an a–hole.”

Corgan previously claimed to Mandel that his stepmom had asked him: “Do you know who Bill Burr is? Bill Burr might be one of the children that your father sired in his days being a traveling musician.”
Corgan continued at the time, “This is a true story. I’m not making this up, there is no joke in this. This is a true story. I’ve never told this anywhere, honestly.”
He said to his stepmom, “‘OK, that sort of works,’ and I looked at Bill’s age and we are similar age.”
“And my father did once tell me that I had a half brother named Bill,” Corgan admitted, “who was basically born around the same time as me. He told me on my 18th birthday. This is all totally true. I swear to God. So I said, ‘Well, how many other possible illegitimate children does Daddy have,’ because he did tell me about this one Bill.”
Howie Mandel took to social media today to mock comedian Bill Burr with a hilarious photo mashup featuring Billy Corgan from the band Smashing Pumpkins in the movie Step Brothers. The feud between Mandel and Burr has been heating up in recent weeks, with both comedians taking shots at each other in interviews and on social media.
In the photo, Corgan’s face is superimposed onto the body of Will Ferrell’s character from Step Brothers, while Burr’s face is placed on the body of John C. Reilly’s character. Mandel captioned the photo with, “Looks like Bill Burr found his long-lost brother!” referencing the ongoing feud between the two comedians.
Fans of both Mandel and Burr have been eagerly following the feud, with many taking to social media to weigh in on the ongoing drama. Some fans are speculating that the feud may be a publicity stunt, while others are eagerly anticipating a potential comedy roast between the two comedians.
Regardless of the true nature of the feud, one thing is for sure – Howie Mandel is not backing down from his comedic rival anytime soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this hilarious feud as it continues to unfold.
Jake Paul and Logan Paul made social media announcements Tuesday that created widespread speculation the brothers would fight each other, but the teased March 27 event on streaming service Max will be a reality series rather than a boxing match, the streaming service confirmed Thursday.
Calling it the “moment you’ve waited a decade for,” the posts featured a head-to-head shot of the brothers with a March 27 date and the Max logo. The release later elaborated on those posts by specifying that the series, which will feature archival and previously unseen footage of the Paul brothers, will involve eight episodes and its debut season finale will air on May 15.
Jake Paul, 28, and Logan Paul, 29, are both YouTube stars who know how to create buzz. Their exhibitions have drawn the interest of the biggest names in combat sports. Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson in November in an eight-round unanimous decision. Netflix announced more than 108 million viewed the event globally.
Jake Paul and Tyson, the former heavyweight champion, broke records. Promoters said in November that the Tyson-Paul fight was the highest-grossing combat sports event ever in Texas, pulling in $18.1 million. BetMGM said the bout was by far its most-bet boxing or mixed martial arts fight, taking three times the number of bets and four times the money of any combat sports event in its history.
Logan Paul is a part-time performer for WWE. He has been wildly successful in wrestling, having claimed the United States Championship and participated in several premium live events. He also went the distance in a boxing exhibition against Floyd Mayweather in 2021.
A potential fight between Logan Paul and former UFC champion Conor McGregor will not happen. McGregor said in December that he was in “preliminary agreements” with the family of billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani to fight Logan Paul in India. However, he said this week the UFC would not grant him permission.
The Associated Press and ESPN’s Brett Okamoto contributed to this report.
Get ready for a whole new level of entertainment as the infamous Paul brothers, Jake and Logan, are set to star in a thrilling new reality series on Max. The dynamic duo, known for their wild antics and larger-than-life personalities, are sure to bring the drama and excitement to your screens like never before.
Fans can expect to see the brothers take on new challenges, embark on exciting adventures, and of course, stir up some trouble along the way. With their massive following and undeniable charisma, the Paul brothers are sure to make this series a must-watch for fans of reality TV.
So buckle up and get ready for the ride of a lifetime with the Paul brothers on Max. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new series coming soon!

MOBILE, Ala. — A highlight-reel play at a Senior Bowl practice can put a draft prospect on everyone’s radar, lift his draft stock or elevate him to a new level, still months before picks are made in April.
The play was a long throw from Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe down the right sideline, perhaps a bit underthrown. Bech, a 6-foot-2 receiver from TCU, came back, turned around and made a leaping catch with two defenders on him.
He did it wearing an orange No. 7 jersey, not the No. 18 he wore at TCU while enjoying a breakout 2024 season, with 62 catches for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns.
This week, he’s wearing his brother’s number.
Martin “Tiger” Bech, 27, a former Princeton receiver and New York stockbroker, was killed in the Bourbon Street attack in New Orleans in the early hours of New Year’s Day, one of 14 victims as a man drove a truck through a crowd. This week is the first time Jack has had the chance to return to the normalcy of football, playing in the showcase game for NFL prospects.
“Me and my family have definitely felt all the love and support from everybody, and it’s really helped us try to make the most out of this situation,” said Bech, who is from nearby Lafayette, La., and will have 30-plus family members and friends cheering for him at Saturday’s game.
Bech (rhymes with “mesh”) isn’t the only Senior Bowl player who will pay tribute to Martin at the game. Every player on both teams will have a sticker on the back of his helmet, with the number 7 in orange-and-black tiger stripes.
Bech also has a more permanent reminder of his brother. As he talked to reporters on the field after practice, he took the jersey off, showing a pair of new tattoos. The first, on his collarbone under his left shoulder, reads “7 To Heaven” in script, and over his heart, he has in Roman numerals the dates of his brother’s birth and death: “I.XVIII.MCMXCVII-I.I.MMXXV.”
“I’ve got angel wings on me,” Bech said when asked about wearing his brother’s number. “I’ve got the greatest guardian angel of them all, pulling me to where I am now. This was his last test for me, knowing if I can get past this, anything that’s thrown at me will be nothing compared to this.”
Jack Bech shows reporters the tattoos on his chest that he got in remembrance of his slain brother.
It has been a difficult month for Bech, dealing with the sudden loss of his brother, but it’s also given him a new sense of gratitude for the time he has, for the privilege to play the game he loves, knowing how quickly things can be taken away. This week is his best chance to convince the NFL he’s talented enough to continue playing on Sundays this fall and beyond.
“I’m so blessed to be in a position to be in front of these teams, so I love this,” Bech said. “I wake up every morning and I thank God for putting me in this position, to make the most of every opportunity I get.”
Bech is seen as a mid-round draft prospect, with physical play, sharp route-running and the skill to make contested catches in the air like the one he made Wednesday. Catching passes is a family business — Jack and Martin’s uncle, Brett, played receiver at LSU and for three seasons with the Saints from 1997-99.
A year ago, Bech wasn’t on the radar of the NFL or the Senior Bowl, having totaled four touchdowns in his first three years of college, including two at LSU. But he emerged in a big way, especially in the second half of the season, totaling 647 yards and six touchdowns in the final five games. In TCU’s season finale, he caught a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to give the Horned Frogs the lead for good in a win over Stanford. That led to him declaring as an underclassmen for the draft, and Saturday is his big chance to introduce himself to the NFL.
“I want teams to know there’s a high level to my game speed. I can stretch the field,” he said. “I know the game super well, all the little nuances, being able to attack coverages. No matter who steps in front of me, I don’t flinch and give it my best every time.”

TCU wide receiver Jack Bech has always had a special motivation driving him to succeed on the football field: his late brother’s memory.
Bech’s older brother, a talented football player himself, tragically passed away before he could fulfill his own dreams of playing in the NFL. This loss has fueled Bech’s determination to not only honor his brother’s memory, but to also chase his own dreams of making it to the next level.
Now, Bech is showcasing his skills at the Senior Bowl, hoping to catch the eye of NFL scouts and coaches. With his speed, route-running ability, and strong hands, he has already impressed many with his performance on the field.
But for Bech, this isn’t just about football. It’s about carrying on his brother’s legacy and making him proud. As he continues to chase his NFL dreams, he knows that his brother will always be watching over him, cheering him on every step of the way.
Stay tuned as Jack Bech continues to make his mark at the Senior Bowl and beyond, inspired by the memory of his beloved brother. The NFL may be his next destination, but his brother’s spirit will always be his guiding light.

The fifth and final season of the beloved Netflix series will premiere later this year on the streamer, and the Duffer Brothers promise that they did not hold back for this final go-around.
Co-creator Matt Duffer described the final season as “big and epic” in a press release. “There’s no time for a ramp-up. It’s going to be intense from beginning to end.”
“It’s also going to feel familiar,” his brother, Ross Duffer, said. “This season is the biggest it’s ever been in scale, but everyone’s back together in Hawkins, interacting the same way they were in Season 1.”
Fans also got their first sense of what’s to come in the final season, as Netflix shared a missing person poster for Millie Bobby Brown‘s character Jane Hopper, also known as Eleven, on Instagram.
Per the poster, she’s been missing since June 1986, and season 5 takes place in the fall of 1987, per a teaser, which means it’s been more than a year since she was seen when the show picks up.
“We’re gonna be hanging around at Netflix, which has been our home for the past 10 years,” Ross said. “We couldn’t ask for better partners. If you want to tell original stories like we do, this is really the place to be.”
Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder and Noah Schnapp are pictured on the set of Stranger Things.
“We shot it for a year and I’ll miss all of my friends and our characters terribly,” the 22-year-old, who plays Mike Wheeler, wrote on Instagram along with a photo from season 1 of the cast 10 years younger.
“When I think of the show, I picture this first photo. A bunch of goofy young people making something they think is cool but really have no clue what’s to come. I feel like we’re still those people and I’m lucky to still stand beside them today.”
Maya Hawke, Joey Keery, Finn Wolfhard and Charlie Heaton are pictured on the set of Stranger Things.
Stranger Things Netflix/Instagram
Noah Schnapp also posted a lengthy farewell to the show, as he said he was “feeling very emotional” after he’d “wrapped my final scene as Will Byers.”
“Stranger Things was more than a job; it was a lifelong dream. A dream made reality thanks to the Duffers. Thank you for taking a chance on me when I was just a 10-year-old kid and entrusting me with something so important to you both,” he continued.
“Together, this cast + crew has built something so very special, and I couldn’t be any more excited for the world to see the final chapter. Stranger Things is a never-ending story for me – it’s in my heart forever..”

Stranger Things season 5 will premiere later this year on Netflix, where seasons 1-4 can now be streamed.
The hit Netflix series “Stranger Things” has captivated audiences with its blend of 80s nostalgia, supernatural thrills, and lovable characters. And according to the show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, Season 5 is set to be the biggest and most ambitious installment yet.
In a recent interview, the Duffer Brothers teased that Season 5 will push the boundaries of the Upside Down even further, with new creatures, mysteries, and dangers awaiting our favorite Hawkins residents. They also hinted at the return of some familiar faces and the introduction of new characters who will shake up the status quo.
Fans can expect more epic battles, heartwarming moments, and shocking twists as the stakes are raised to new heights in Season 5. And with the show’s signature blend of humor, heart, and horror, it’s sure to be a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
So buckle up, Stranger Things fans, because Season 5 is shaping up to be the ‘biggest it’s ever been’ and we can’t wait to see where the Duffer Brothers take us next.

The Menendez brothers cousin, who has chosen to remain anonymous, has spoken out amidst the delay in their re-sentencing. The cousin, who was close to Lyle and Erik Menendez during their trial and conviction for the murder of their parents in 1996, expressed frustration and confusion over the continued delays in their re-sentencing.
“It’s been over 30 years since the murders occurred, and the legal process just seems to drag on and on,” the cousin said. “I know that what they did was wrong, but they have served their time and it’s time for them to have a fair re-sentencing.”
The Menendez brothers were originally sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, but a 2018 law allowed inmates who were under 26 years old at the time of their crime to seek re-sentencing. Despite this, the brothers have faced multiple delays in their re-sentencing hearings.
“I just want closure for everyone involved, including the brothers themselves,” the cousin said. “They have expressed remorse for their actions, and it’s time for them to have a chance at a fair re-sentencing. I hope that the legal system can finally bring this to a resolution.”

THE family of Erik and Lyle Menendez have had enough.
It’s been 35 long years since the brothers were arrested for gunning down their parents amid accusations of sickening sexual abuse at the hands of their father.

Yet in an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun, the brothers’ cousin admitted the family would pay even the price of being dragged back into court again to get them home.
Anamaria Baralt hopes to see a change after she claims the brothers were “mocked” in previous trials for alleging their dad was guilty of abuse.
GLOBAL ATTENTION
The harrowing murder was headline news back in 1989 and has dramatically been revived in the public eye following two recent Netflix series about the killings.
Lyle, now 56, and Erik, 53, have been locked away for life, with no chance of parole, after brutally killing their parents, Kitty and Jose Menendez, in their swanky Beverly Hills mansion on that fateful August day.

After years of campaigning, having served over three decades behind bars in San Diego, and with their family pleading for their release, the brothers are said to be “cautiously optimistic” about the future.
A resentencing hearing initially slated for the end of January has now been pushed back until March with the California wildfires holding proceedings up.
While the delay was unavoidable, the family hope it will allow the authorities to complete a “deep dive” on everything pertaining to the case.
Lyle and Erik, caged for so long, can take another few weeks before learning their fate.
Many different outcomes are on the table when their hearing finally occurs.
They could be released immediately, forced to go before the parole board and relive the nightmare – which could take months and be “traumatic” for the family as old wounds would be reopened – or even be denied their freedom entirely.
Menendez brothers’ family mobbed outside court after disappointment as resentencing delayed_1
A separate petition includes bombshell evidence unearthed by indefatigable investigative journalist Robert Rand in which a former boy band member accuses Jose, a former RCA executive, of sexual abuse.
It has been on the table for two years.
The pressure on new Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman to deliver an acceptable outcome is growing with the spotlight burning bright.
But for cousin Anamaria and most of her family, the time is now to finally release their loved ones finally.
HEARTFELT APPEAL
In an emotional interview with The U.S. Sun, Anamaria’s eyes began to well up when talking about the surge of interest and reaction in one of the most infamous murder cases of all time.
The Washington state-based yoga instructor has lived with the pain of seeing her cousins jailed and vilified for almost four decades and, before opening her heart to The U.S. Sun last year, had never spoken publicly about her – and her family’s – indescribable pain.
“We don’t love the global spotlight,” she said before taking to the stage in Washington DC last week to take part in a talk about the case with Rand.
“But at the same time, we are grateful for it because, hopefully, it will help us get them back.”

Anamaria was able to cast her mind back to the two trials in 1994 and 1996 – the first one was a mistrial and the second, coming just days after the stunning OJ Simpson verdict – and shudders.
With people less open about mental health struggles and sexual abuse, she says the boys’ pleas fell on deaf ears.
“The feeling of injustice was inescapable. They were mocked openly by the prosecutors in the trial,” she said, “that just wouldn’t happen today.”
She speaks with authority because the messages of support for her two cousins have sometimes left her totally floored.
Timeline of the Menendez brothers case
Erik and Lyle Menendez’s case dates back more than three decades since their parents were found shot to death at their Beverly Hills mansion.
Below is a timeline of the brothers’ case, starting at the gruesome crime scene:
August 20, 1989 – José and Kitty Menendez are found dead from multiple shotgun wounds.
March 8, 1990 – Lyle is arrested outside his parents’ Beverly Hills mansion.
March 11, 1990 – Erik surrenders to police after flying back into Los Angeles from Israel.
December 1992 – Murder charges against the brothers are officially filed.
July 20, 1993 – The murder trial, highly publicized on Court TV, begins in Los Angeles with Erik and Lyle each having a separate jury.
January 28, 1994 – The first trial ends with two deadlocked juries.
October 11, 1995 – Lyle and Erik’s second trial begins with one jury.
March 20, 1996 – The Menendez brothers are convicted of two counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
July 2, 1996 – Lyle and Erik are sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole and sent to separate prisons.
February 22, 2018 – Lyle is transferred to the San Diego prison, where Erik is held.
April 4, 2018 – Lyle was moved into the same housing unit as Erik – the first time the brothers were reunited in over 20 years.
May 2023 – Lyle and Erik’s attorney files a habeas corpus petition after Roy Rosselló, a member of the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo, made sexual abuse allegations against Jose Menendez in a Peacock docuseries.
September 19, 2024 – Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story releases on Netflix.
October 3, 2024 – Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón says his office is reviewing new evidence in connection with Lyle and Erik’s convictions.
October 7, 2024 – The Menendez Brothers documentary film comes out on Netflix.
October 16, 2024 – Family members of the Menendez brothers hold a press conference begging for the siblings to be released from prison.
October 24, 2024 – Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón recommends the brothers be resentenced.
November 25, 2024 – The Menendez brothers appear in court for a status hearing to learn their resentencing hearing is pushed back from December 11 to allow new DA Nathan Hochman more time to review the case.
January 30-31, 2025 – Erik and Lyle are set to go before a judge in a scheduled hearing.
INCREDIBLE RESPONSE
Naturally, in this often toxic age of social media, there have been a few jibes, people messaging that Erik and Lyle are getting their just desserts.
“There have been some hurtful messages,” she said.
But, in the main, Anamaria has been hit with an emotional, “touching” barrage of support, mostly from people who have also suffered their sexual abuse nightmares yet have been too scared to speak up – until now.
“I’ve had so many men reach out to tell me that it feels like we are fighting for them, too,” she admitted with a tear in her eye. “I can’t even begin to express what that feels like.”
“Resentencing is designed for people like them who have done the work and changed their lives.
Anamaria Baralt, the cousin of Erik and Lyle Menendez
Emotions also ran high when she talked about her beloved mother, Terri, and Aunt Joan.
Both ladies, 85 and 93 years old respectively, are fighting their own health battles.
Anamaria and the rest of her family pray that the boys are freed to see them before it’s too late.
“It would mean everything for my mother to hug them,” she said.
A 2023 documentary has blown the lid off the controversial Menendez case, spotlighting the jaw-dropping work of Rand, whose findings back the brothers’ claims that they killed their parents in self-defense after enduring years of alleged sexual abuse.
Adding fuel to the fire, explosive testimony from former Menudo star Roy Rosselló and a chilling letter Erik wrote months before the murders to his late cousin Andy Cano have surfaced as crucial evidence.
The Menendez legal team handed it to the DA’s office two years ago, yet progress has been slow.
“We wanted an expedited timeline but that’s just what we’ve had to deal with,” said Anamaria.
Ex-Republican-turned-Independent Hochman says he feels for the brothers but isn’t buying everything their lawyer, Mark Geragos, is selling.
Hochman slammed Geragos’ claims that they didn’t get a fair shake in court as “too simplistic” for such a high-profile case.
“Knowing the Geragos narrative is wrong, the issues that we’ll be looking at for the trial will be whether or not these two young men faced an immediate threat to their life,” Hochman, who has admitted he’s combing through “dozens” of confidential files ahead of the March hearings, told Deadline.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
The brother’s extended family, however, wants them out now.
Anamaria admitted they were “grateful” to sit down with Hochman for three hours at the back end of 2024 and were able to “communicate to him about their rehabilitation process and their journeys.”
Erik and Lyle have been trumpeted as perfect prisoners, going above and beyond to help others in jail.
They have, says Anamaria, been designing programs over the years “without any help of release” to help vulnerable young offenders to help make a “real change.”
She describes both boys as “joyous people” with a “real lightheartedness about them.”
“I’m a believer in redemption. Resentencing is designed for people like them who have done the work and changed their lives,” said their cousin.
“The amount of personal growth is stunning. I hope that’s what matters at the end of the day.”

The Menendez brothers, Lyle and Erik, have spent 35 years behind bars for the murder of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez. However, their cousin, Diana Enriquez, believes that they have been living with injustice all this time after enduring years of abuse that was “mocked” by their parents.
Enriquez has vowed to do whatever it takes to free her cousins, even if it means paying any price. She believes that the brothers were driven to their actions by the trauma they experienced at the hands of their parents, and that they deserve a second chance at life outside of prison.
The Menendez case has long been a controversial and debated one, with many arguing that the brothers were unfairly sentenced and should be granted a new trial. Enriquez’s passionate plea for justice for Lyle and Erik has reignited the conversation surrounding their case, and she is determined to see them receive the freedom she believes they deserve.
As the fight for the Menendez brothers’ freedom continues, their cousin’s unwavering support and determination serve as a beacon of hope for those who believe in their innocence.

Anamaria Baralt says she is often asked what her cousins Lyle and Erik Menendez are like.
“Lyle’s humor is sharp and quick, it’s one of the things that’s kept him and our family going,” says Baralt as she talks about the brothers, who fatally shot their parents Jose and Kitty Menendez at their Beverly Hills, Calif. home in 1989. “And Erik, he’s got this deep compassion that makes him someone everyone can lean on. But what stands out most about them is their resilience.”
While serving life sentences in prison, Erik, 54, and Lyle, 57 — who claim they killed their parents because they feared for their lives after years of sexual abuse by Jose — have “managed to build meaningful lives,” says Baralt, 53, who spoke about the brothers’ much-anticipated resentencing hearing at a National Press Club event in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 23.
“What’s driving me, and my family, is love,” she tells PEOPLE. “Their continued incarceration serves no societal purpose and only prolongs our family’s pain. They’ve taken responsibility for their actions, they’ve committed their lives to helping others and they’ve done it all while carrying the weight of their past and the judgment of the world. All we want is to welcome them home.”

In October 2024, the Menendez brothers appeared to be on the verge of release when then-L.A. District Attorney George Gascón filed a re-sentencing request that could have ultimately freed them. However, Gascón lost his bid for reelection, and what newly elected district attorney Nathan Hochman plans to do is unclear.

“We are still figuring it out,” Hochman told PEOPLE when asked if he would support or withdraw his predecessor’s resentencing motion.
The brothers’ journey to what they — and nearly two-dozen supportive family members like Baralt — hope will pave the way to their release has been a long time coming. Their fate took an unexpected twist last year when a new generation of supporters joined the call for their release from prison, owing to a cultural shift in understanding of the devastating toll that sexual abuse survivors face, along with the impact of Netflix’s hit drama Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and a documentary on the streaming service, The Menendez Brothers.

By last October, efforts to re-sentence the men to 50 years to life — making them immediately eligible for parole as “youthful offenders” since Lyle was 21 and Erik was 18 at the time of the murders—seemed to be on the threshold of success. But many now wonder if their best shot at walking free is fading due to the November election of Hochman, who ordered a re-examination of the case and replaced members of the D.A.’s re-sentencing unit with attorneys of his own picking.
At this point,” says Laurie Levenson, a professor at L.A.’s Loyola Law School who has followed the case for decades, “Hochman is reviewing the case because he’s not quite sure that he feels the same way about it as Gascón.”
Asked if Gascón losing the election was a setback for the brothers, Cliff Gardner, one of the attorneys representing the Menendez brothers, tells PEOPLE that it “remains to be seen.”

“In the typical homicide case, of course, a more conservative prosecutor would want to pay great attention to views expressed by family members of the deceased,” he says. “Here, it is very much an open question if the new district attorney will seriously consider the many, many family members of both Kitty and Jose Menendez who have come forward repeatedly to plead for Erik and Lyle’s release after 35 years in prison.”
Even by big-city standards, the grisly shotgun murders of former beauty queen Kitty, 47, and wealthy music executive Jose, 45, as the couple watched TV in their Beverly Hills home in August of 1989 was a shocking crime. Arrested seven months later, Erik and Lyle were charged with murder and tried together before separate juries, with both trials ending in mistrial. In a second trial in 1996, the brothers were found guilty and sentenced to life without parole.

“This tragedy will always be the most astounding and regrettable thing that has ever happened in my life,” Lyle told PEOPLE in 2017. “You can’t escape the memories, and I long ago stopped trying.”
For much of the past three and a half decades, the Menendezes — who have both been active in organizing support for their fellow inmates — filed appeals but knew the odds of being released were slim. In 2023, however, their attorneys, riding a groundswell of public support, filed a habeas corpus petition asking for a review of newly discovered evidence, including a letter Erik purportedly sent to a cousin months before the killings that mentioned Jose’s ongoing sexual assault, and an affidavit by a member of the boy band Menudo who alleged that Jose, who headed the band’s record label, raped him in the 1980s. The habeas petition remains a possible avenue for freedom.
But Levenson isn’t convinced that this new evidence would be enough to overturn the Menendezes’s 1996 convictions. “I don’t think that’s likely to succeed,” she says.
And now, exactly what will happen at the resentencing hearing beginning on March 20 is anyone’s guess.
The brothers, according to their cousin, are trying their best to take things day by day. “Erik and Lyle are cautiously optimistic,” says Baralt. “They’re grateful for the support they’ve received and for the opportunity to have their sentence reconsidered.”

The Menendez family has been in the spotlight once again as brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez prepare for their upcoming resentencing hearing. In an exclusive interview with People magazine, the family has revealed the current mindset of the brothers as they face the possibility of a new sentence.
According to sources close to the family, both Lyle and Erik have been reflecting on their past actions and are hopeful for a second chance at a fair sentence. They have reportedly expressed remorse for their crimes and are eager to show the court how they have changed and grown over the years.
The Menendez brothers were convicted of the brutal murders of their parents in 1996 and have been serving life sentences without the possibility of parole. However, recent changes in California law have opened the door for their resentencing, giving them a chance at a reduced sentence.
As the resentencing hearing approaches, the Menendez family is hopeful that the court will take into account the brothers’ rehabilitation and remorse when considering their new sentence. They are optimistic that Lyle and Erik will finally have a chance to prove that they have changed for the better and deserve a second chance at life outside of prison.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Menendez brothers’ resentencing hearing as the family continues to support them through this difficult time.
In an event that promises to bring more than just family dynamics into the ring, Jake Paul and Logan Paul are scheduled to face off in an unprecedented brother-versus-brother boxing match on March 27, 2025, broadcast exclusively on HBO MAX. This bout not only marks a historic moment in the world of influencer boxing but also signifies a culmination of years of rivalry and camaraderie between two of the most recognizable figures in social media, sports, and entertainment.
From YouTube to the Boxing Ring
Jake and Logan Paul, both former Vine stars who transitioned to YouTube fame, have carved out significant niches for themselves in the boxing world. Jake, with a record of 11-1 following his recent victory over Mike Tyson, has proven his mettle in the ring, defeating a mix of former UFC fighters and professional boxers. Logan, although less active in the boxing scene, made headlines with his exhibition against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his earlier bouts against KSI, which ended in a draw and a split decision loss respectively.
The Build-Up to the Fight
The buzz around this match began after Jake’s controversial but decisive win over Mike Tyson, where he openly called out his brother Logan for a fight. Logan, known for his athletic background in wrestling and his stint in WWE, accepted the challenge, setting the stage for what many are calling the “Paul Family Feud.” The narrative leading up to the fight has been rich with sibling rivalry, respect, and the underlying theme of proving one’s worth both to each other and to the global audience that has followed their journey from internet sensations to professional athletes.
What to Expect
Venue and Broadcast: The fight is slated to take place in a yet-to-be-announced venue, but it will be broadcast live on Cinemax, promising high-definition viewing and an immersive experience for fans. Fight Dynamics: Given the physical and stylistic differences between the brothers, this match could be one of strategy as much as strength. Jake’s boxing experience might give him an edge, but Logan’s size and reach, coupled with his athletic background, could pose significant challenges. Fan Engagement: The event is expected to generate massive engagement across social media platforms, with both brothers having millions of followers who have been eagerly awaiting this clash. Expect online watch parties, live reactions, and a deluge of content from the Paul brothers’ extensive networks.
Broader Implications
This fight isn’t just about bragging rights; it’s a testament to the influence of social media on sports. By bringing a family feud into the professional boxing arena, the Paul brothers are further blurring the lines between entertainment and sport, proving that influencers can indeed become legitimate athletes. The match could also set a precedent for future influencer boxing events, potentially changing how such contests are perceived and organized.
Public Reaction and Media Coverage
The announcement has sparked a wide range of reactions from fans and critics alike. While some celebrate the novelty and entertainment value, others question the legitimacy of influencer boxing in the broader context of the sport. Media outlets are covering the event with a mix of sports analysis and entertainment journalism, highlighting the unique blend of celebrity culture and athletic competition.
Conclusion
As the date approaches, March 27, 2025, will not just be another day in the boxing calendar; it will be a cultural phenomenon where family ties are tested in the harsh light of public spectacle. Whether you’re a fan of boxing, social media, or just compelling human drama, Jake vs. Logan Paul on HBO MAX is shaping up to be an event not to be missed. Stay tuned for more updates as the fight night draws closer, and prepare for a night where brotherly love takes a backseat to the sweet science of boxing.
Note: This article is speculative based on the current trajectory of Jake and Logan Paul’s careers and the dynamics in influencer boxing. Actual events, including fight specifics, might differ as they are finalized by the promoters and the fighters themselves.
