Zach Bryan has dropped a new track, “Blue Jean Baby,” to celebrate the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
“BIRDS WIN. [‘Blue Jean Baby’] OUT AT MIDNIGHT. SEE YALL IN NEW ORLEANS,” Zach shares on Instagram, celebrating that the Eagles are heading to the 2025 Super Bowl for a face-off with the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Blue Jean Baby” finds Zach yearning for the companionship of his “blue jean” girls, despite knowing it’s a fleeting and temporal romance.
“There’s a part of the night when things quiet down/ The air gets thick and I can hear the sound/ Of silence, I’ve been on my own/ And summer was fine, I’ll see you in New Year’s Eve/ Come back to bed ‘fore you up and leave/ There’s a barely lit cigarette burnin’ a hole/ In your blue jeans,” Zach sings in the chorus.
If you’re wondering why “Blue Jean Baby” doesn’t sound like a fully produced track, Zach says it “was a demo turned into a half song that people have been asking for a long time.”
“Praying no one expects anything more than that out of it,” he shares in an Instagram Story.
And if you’re wondering if Zach’s dropping a new project in 2025, rest assured — he is.
“EP AND ALBUM BY THE END OF THE YEAR,” the singer says in an Instagram post.
Zach’s latest albums are 2024’s The Great American Bar Scene and a live record, 24 (Live).

Though singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson has become one of the hottest country stars on the planet, it wasn’t long ago she was striving to get noticed in Nashville and auditioning seven times for “American Idol.”
Now, nearly four years after finally scoring her first Billboard country music hit with “Things a Man Oughta Know,” one of the cool twists of fate for Wilson has been the close friendship she’s forged with “Idol” judge Luke Bryan, she told CMT’s Cody Alan on January 25, 2025.
Shortly after performing on the season 21 “Idol” finale with Jelly Roll in May 2023, Wilson told Country Countdown USA, “I finally made it on ‘American Idol. I tried out 7 times. I took the long way around, but finally made it on ‘American Idol.’ I never made it through. I never made it past the first round.”
But Wilson’s getting last laugh, from winning the 2024 Grammy for Best Country Album to her friendship with Bryan, who was shocked to learn the show had passed her up so many times.
Lainey Wilson Says Luke Bryan Will Now Answer Her Calls at Any Hour
Though Wilson never got a callback from “Idol” producers while she was striving to hit it big, she said Bryan will now answer her calls at any time. During an interview on “CMT Hot 20,” as seen in the above clip, she told host Cody Alan that she has forged a special connection with the country superstar.
“Luke has become a dear friend of mine, he really has,” Wilson told Alan. “He’s a cheerleader of mine, and he’s somebody I could go to — I could call him and it does not matter what time of day and he would answer the phone. He’s a good dude.”
Over the last several months, the country stars have spent a good deal of time together, first co-hosting the 2024 CMA Awards with Bryan and Peyton Manning. They were also both part of CBS’ New Year’s Eve countdown show that former “Idol” judge Keith Urban hosted in Nashville, and in mid-January, Wilson was part of Bryan’s 10th annual Crash My Playa music festival in Mexico.
But in addition to getting close with Wilson, Bryan has also become good friends with her boyfriend, former NFL player Delvin “Duck” Hodges.
“I mean, anytime I’ve been around Lainey,” Bryan told ABC News Radio in November, “she’s just kind of one of the boys and one of the girls, you know? She’s just a great person to be around and (I’ve started) to spend a little more time with her boyfriend, Duck. He and I, we chat a couple of times a week. So, yeah, we’re all family now.”
Luke Bryan Admits ‘We Don’t Always Get It Right’ on ‘Idol’
When Bryan, who’s been a judge on “Idol” since 2018, learned that Wilson was rejected seven times by “Idol” producers before her rise to fame, he was shocked.
In November 2023, Bryan told Country Countdown USA, “I didn’t know that. That was the first time I heard that, but I’ll go see my producers today and find out what happened! I’m glad she didn’t take the ‘Idol’ letdown to heart. It also shows we don’t always get it right.”
Wilson told Country Countdown USA that she also tried out for “The Voice,” with no success, but insisted, “I’m grateful my story ended the way that it did.”
In May 2023, the “Heart Like a Truck” hitmaker told People, “I’ve known that this is my calling, and there’s nothing else that I want to do, that I can do. I’ve always just been like, ‘No plan B, this is it.’ I feel like that time that I’ve had to prepare, I don’t know… If it happened when I wanted it to, I don’t know that I would have been ready.”

‘Don’t Die’ Tech Mogul Bryan Johnson Is in an Actual Penis-Measuring Contest—With His Teenage Son
In addition to serving as “blood boy” to his dad, longevity-obsessed Bryan Johnson, 19-year-old Talmage Johnson is now also his boner boy.
Bryan Johnson shared a pair of charts on X (formerly Twitter) Wednesday comparing the duration and “quality” of his nighttime erections compared to his son’s.
X content
This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.
“Nighttime erection data from my 19-year-old son, @talmagejohnson_, and me. His duration is two minutes longer than mine,” he wrote, concluding, “Raise children to stand tall, be firm, and be upright.” Vanity Fair‘s request for comment was not immediately answered.
There’s just… a lot to unpack here, you know? Surely plenty of people bearing the surname “Johnson” are not obsessed with their penises, but both of these Johnsons have a passion for their Johnsons. According to the charts, Talmage may have had longer nighttime erections, but 47-year-old Bryan’s were “better,” with a quality score of 94 compared to Talmage’s 90. (It’s unclear what metrics are used to determine qualitative aspects.) Bryan also crushed his son on sleep quality (131 vs. 112, whatever that means), and the graphics show that they both have an “AndroAge” of 22.
Talmage, for what it’s worth, appears to be totally on board with all of it. He retweeted his father’s boner chart, adding, “I’m grateful for the way my dad has raised me.” On January 9, he tweeted that his goal for 2025 is to “achieve the same biomarkers as the world’s healthiest and most measured human.” (That would be dear old dad.) “He started at 43. I’m starting at 19. No matter your situation, you can start now too.” His tweet quoted his father bragging about smooth skin and sexual stamina.
In a 2024 Vanity Fair investigation, Rachel Dodes detailed Bryan Johnson’s beginnings in business, strict lifestyle regimen, and the accusations brought against him by his ex-fiancée Taryn Southern, who says that she suffered psychological and financial abuse, both personally and professionally. Johnson denied it all. Her employment claims were dismissed, and an arbitrator ordered her to pay more than half a million dollars of legal fees for him—plus interest.
Part of Bryan’s longevity is thanks to Talmage, according to Bryan. Talmage allowed his father to transfuse his blood when he was 17, in an attempt to be young from the inside out. “My son is my best friend,” Bryan tweeted this week, attaching video of an interview where he and the younger Johnson talk about taking the term “blood brothers” to a new level.
Bryan Johnson founded the Blueprint program, a strict plan where you spend so much time plotting out how not to die that there’s scarcely time to live. In February, he will host the one-day Don’t Die Summit in New York City, where participants have the opportunity to pay $1,499 to go to the Javits Center, take longevity tests, and drink tea. Breakfast and lunch—but not dinner—are included in the price of admission.
On his LinkedIn profile, Talmage lists himself as a “student intern” at his dad’s Blueprint company, a role he started eight months ago. His job description? “The most important thing on humanity’s to-do list.”
While Talmage has posted photos showing his vampirically low sleepytime resting heart rate of 36 BPM, the screenshot’s 9:07 p.m. timestamp and moon icon showing that this young man is up past his bedtime, neither Johnson has publicly shared how they are measuring their nighttime erections.
In a bizarre turn of events, tech mogul Bryan Johnson has found himself in an unexpected competition with his teenage son – a penis-measuring contest.Johnson, known for his work in the tech industry and as the founder of Kernel, a company focused on developing brain-machine interfaces, is no stranger to pushing boundaries. However, this latest development has left many scratching their heads.
According to sources close to the Johnson family, the contest started as a joke between father and son, but quickly escalated into a full-blown competition. Both Johnson and his son have reportedly been taking measurements and comparing notes in an effort to determine who has the bigger, well, you know.
While this may seem like a strange and somewhat inappropriate competition for a father and son to engage in, some are speculating that it may actually be part of a larger project or experiment that Johnson is working on. After all, this is the man who has dedicated his life to pushing the boundaries of technology and human potential.
Regardless of the reasons behind the contest, one thing is for sure – it’s certainly not something you see every day. So, as strange as it may be, one thing is clear: don’t die, because you never know what kind of weird competitions you might find yourself in.

Two days of hearings on defense motions in the quadruple murder case against University of Idaho student stabbings suspect Bryan Kohberger ended without any official decisions but revealed new details ahead of his highly anticipated trial later this year.
The defense appeared to confirm early reports that Kohberger was spotted wearing rubber gloves in his parents’ kitchen when tactical officers burst in to arrest him. A key eyewitness was accused of having memory problems, drinking and telling a conflicting story.
The defense confirmed that Kohberger arrived at school in Pullman, Washington, in June 2022. And the judge issued a stern warning to both sides about what he expects out of their expert disclosures moving forward.
Judge Steven Hippler said he would take the arguments under advisement and issue his decisions later. Here are some key developments from the two-day hearing.

Is there an expectation of privacy regarding DNA left at a crime scene?
Kohberger’s defense wants investigative genetic genealogy evidence suppressed. Their arguments, however, did not appear to move the judge.
“I struggle with the idea that DNA left at a crime scene, that there’s any expectation of privacy,” Judge Steven Hippler told Kohberger’s lead defense attorney, Anne Taylor.
Later, as she tried to attack other elements of a probable cause affidavit, he returned to DNA as the apparent deciding factor.
Hippler asked if DNA itself found on a knife sheath under a victim’s body isn’t enough to support probable cause on its own.

“Isn’t that probable cause every day and twice on Sunday?” he asked.
She said not in this case, but experts say the DNA evidence is likely Kohberger’s greatest threat.
“The cellphone records certainly make him look bad, although the fact that the phone was turned off at the time of the murders helps him,” said Andrew Stoltmann, a Chicago attorney who has been following the case. “But I think the DNA sinks his Bismarck.”
Trouble with the eyewitness?
Taylor called into question the credibility of an eyewitness, a surviving housemate who police said saw a masked man leaving after overhearing sounds of a struggle.

Despite the massacre, she went to bed. Police weren’t contacted until hours later, when a friend called 911 from one of the survivors’ phones late in the morning.
In one of her statements to police, as read by Taylor in court, she said the following:
“I don’t know if this was real or if my mind was just, like, playing with me,” Taylor said. “But, from what I think I heard, someone was crying in the bathroom.”

The witness also said she heard a specific victim running up and down the stairs. But, according to Taylor, she couldn’t have, because that victim was killed in an upstairs bed.
And a footprint outside the witness’s bedroom door, Taylor said, was not repeated anywhere else in the home. She questioned why it was even included in the police affidavit.
Latah County Deputy Prosecutor Ashley Jennings defended the eyewitness, telling the court the most important thing that came from her in the probable cause affidavit was her description of the suspect as a White male, slender and tall. And that part of her story never changed.
DNA from two unknown males
Taylor told the court police recovered two other DNA samples from unknown males, one on a handrail and one on a glove outside.
With the source of the DNA in question, she said it could mean Kohberger is not related to the crime at all.

Hippler seemed unconvinced as Taylor tried to argue this invalidated the probable cause used to arrest her client.

“His DNA is still on the knife sheath though. That’s the problem, counsel,” he said.
Countdown to Kohberger’s arrest
Prior to Kohberger’s arrest at his parents’ house in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, the FBI arranged to have a local trash collector snag his family’s garbage and deliver it to them for testing, the court heard.
Lead detectives in the case were in Pennsylvania at the time but watched local authorities conduct the tactical raid via a video feed broadcast from a drone, Payne testified.

Jay Logsdon, one of Kohberger’s defense attorneys, questioned the legitimacy of a SWAT raid on the home and said police “snipers” had been watching Kohberger walking around inside the house. He brought up the arrest of White supremacist mass shooter Dylann Roof, but Hippler cut him off before he could illustrate a point.
“As they explained in their own affidavit, they’re essentially watching Mr. Kohberger as he moves around his house, via snipers,” Logsdon said. “They were quite safe, and there was simply no reason to bash the doors in momentarily after yelling from their BearCat.”

“There’s two issues,” Judge Hippler interjected. “There’s officer safety. There’s also destruction of evidence concerns.”
Logsdon downplayed concerns that law enforcement thought Kohberger would have destroyed any evidence.
“The only thing they knew is that he’s walking around room to room and that he’s got kitchen gloves on,” Logsdon said.
“That’s not all they knew,” Hippler said, adding he would not go into further detail in the open court session.

Latah County Prosecuting Attorney Bill Thompson said there were additional details known to law enforcement that were “quite incriminating” and justified the rapid entry.
“They had a no-knock warrant, signed by a judge, that allowed them to enter Kohberger’s residence using means they deemed reasonably construed to ensure both the integrity of evidence and officer safety,” said Paul Mauro, a former NYPD inspector who has been closely following the case.
“Whether they were watching him with snipers or not has no legal bearing. These strike me as collateral, dilatory tactics by the defense.
“Get on with it.”
Kohberger’s shopping list
The defense argued that investigators improperly obtained Kohberger’s Amazon history without a warrant. Prosecutors countered that a business record with a third party is not protected by an expectation of privacy.
Logsdon called the U.S. a “panopticon,” essentially a large prison with few guards, and a surveillance state and warned that privacy rights needed to be protected.

Experts say Amazon is allowed to voluntarily provide the records as part of established case law.
“That’s an uphill climb for the defense,” Stoltmann told Fox News Digital.
The results
Hippler said he had not yet decided whether the defense will receive a Franks hearing but told both sides to send him a list of available dates within the next three weeks.

His decisions on most of the other motions are expected to be announced in the near future. In response to a defense request that the court either order prosecutors to hand over additional expert witness disclosures or face sanctions, Hippler said both sides should “over-disclose.”
“A word of caution,” he said. “Sometimes there’s dissonance between what an expert thinks they’re gonna talk about and what the lawyer understands from that expert.”

Kohberger is scheduled for trial later this year in the home invasion murders of Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20.
At the time of the murders, Kohberger was studying for a Ph.D. in criminology at nearby Washington State University, about 10 miles across the state line. The victims were all undergrad students at the University of Idaho.
Latah County Judge John Judge entered not guilty pleas on Kohberger’s behalf at his arraignment in May 2023. He could face the death penalty if convicted.
In a recent development in the case of the Idaho student murders, Bryan Kohberger’s defense team made a bold move by grilling the lead Moscow PD detective during a cross-examination in court. The detective, who has been at the forefront of the investigation into the brutal murders of two college students, faced tough questions from Kohberger’s defense team as they sought to challenge the evidence presented by the prosecution.
Throughout the intense cross-examination, the defense team pressed the detective on the reliability of the evidence, the handling of the crime scene, and the methods used in the investigation. They raised doubts about the detective’s conclusions and painted a picture of a rushed, flawed investigation.
The defense’s aggressive questioning left the detective visibly flustered at times, as he struggled to provide satisfactory answers to their probing inquiries. The courtroom was filled with tension as the defense team relentlessly challenged the detective’s testimony.
As the trial continues, it remains to be seen how this aggressive defense strategy will impact the case. Will the doubts raised by Kohberger’s defense be enough to cast reasonable doubt on his guilt, or will the prosecution’s evidence ultimately prove to be too strong?
One thing is for certain – the courtroom drama surrounding the Idaho student murders is far from over. Stay tuned for more updates on this high-profile case.
