    The couple, who tied the knot at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island back in 2019, are expecting their second child together. The pair already share a two-year-old son named Cy, who is kept out of the spotlight. 

    The sweet news was confirmed via Jennifer’s rep to Vogue back in October after the Oscar-winning actress was spotted out and about in Los Angeles with a visible baby bump.

    The star previously opened up to Interview Magazine about the invasion of privacy she experienced from paparazzi during her pregnancy. She said: “I was so nervous when I was pregnant. I was getting paparazzi’d, and I was just like, “How the [expletive] am I not going to lose it on these guys when they’re taking a picture of my baby?.”

    She added: “Then once he was here, I realized that my energy is more important to him than anything else. So if he feels that I’m anxious before I leave the house, or I’m angry when we’re outside, that’s going to impact him.

    “So it’s actually done the opposite, where I’ve gotten a little bit more zen and a little bit more relaxed with getting photographed, because I don’t have a choice.”

  • Brandin Podziemski giving Warriors needed intensity bump since return – NBC Sports Bay Area & California


    SAN FRANCISCO – With the Warriors stumbling in circles over the past couple months, it is apparent they need some assistance. Maybe it starts with someone willing to grab them and try to pull them from the Western Conference swamp.

    The youngest among them is impetuous enough to embrace the job.

    Brandin Podziemski, who turns 22 next month, brought a conspicuous and contagious energy Tuesday night. Urgent in his movements and emphatic in his instructions, he came off the bench and lit the fuse that sent the Warriors to a 114-103 victory over a diluted version of the rebuilding Utah Jazz.

    On a night when Dennis Schröder overcame an injury scare to submit his most productive game as a Warrior – team-high 23 points, five rebounds, four assists – it was Podziemski’s effervescent presence that roused Golden State into action.

    “Brandin looks really strong and sharp and determined,” coach Steve Kerr said. “He was fantastic tonight. It’s exciting to see. It’s what he expected from the start this season, and obviously things started slowly for him. But he’s really looking like himself now.”

    With Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga sidelined, the Warriors moseyed through the first six minutes, allowing the Jazz to build a seven-point lead. That’s when Kerr turned to his bench, summoning Kevon Looney, Gary Payton II and Podziemski.

    The change in energy and effectiveness was immediate. Utah, on pace to drop 40 points in 12 minutes, suddenly looked every bit like a team missing four of its top six scorers. It took less than four minutes for a Podziemski 3-pointer to give the Warriors their first lead.

    Podziemski’s fingerprints were all over a sizzling nine minutes spanning the first and second quarters when the Warriors asserted themselves. They outscored the Jazz 20-4 during that stretch, with him either scoring or assisting on 14 of those 20 points.

    For his 33 minutes, Podziemski posted a plus-19 while producing 20 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field, including 4 of 11 from beyond the arc, as well as seven rebounds, a team-high six assists and one steal.

    “What we need is what you saw tonight,” Kerr said. “The energy, the passing, the connecting. Long rebounds, loose balls.”

    These things, along with Podziemski’s aggressive nature, matter because the Warriors benefit from that pluck. It’s allowed because he already has gained entry into Golden State’s leadership club, given license by Green last season – when Podziemski was a rookie.

    “It’s just his personality,” Looney said of Podziemski. “He’s a talkative guy. I don’t know what word I would use … but he could be an a-hole sometimes. But as a point guard, you want that in your point guard. Dennis is like that. They’re going to push guys’ buttons and get under guys’ skin. But you need that toughness out there.”

    Podziemski doesn’t run from the status. One minute, he’s gesturing Schröder to pick up the pace, the next he is literally shoving Gui Santos into defensive position. It’s as if on the day the Warriors announced the jersey retirement of Andre Iguodala, Podziemski studied some Iguodala video on subtle and overt ways that lead to success.

    “His swagger is part of what makes him who he is,” Kerr said.

    “I learned that I’m very capable with whatever role I’m asked to do,” Podziemski said. “And I can raise the bar for myself a lot more than what I’m doing right now. As time goes on, I’m going to contribute and be better as a teammate, as a player, everything, all around.”

  • Gamecocks’ Dawn Staley receives contract bump | USC Gamecocks Sports


    COLUMBIA — Dawn Staley is running out of tags to attach to her storied tenure at South Carolina, but the latest one is certainly welcomed.

    “Highest-paid” does have a nice ring to it — or in Staley’s case, three rings.

    USC on Friday made Staley the top earner in the history of women’s college basketball, elevating her current salary (which was $3.2 million this year) to $4 million and extending her contract through the 2029-30 season. Staley is now also believed to be the highest-paid female coach in the world in any sport.

    Her old contract, presented after the 2021-22 season when she won her second national championship, maxed out at $3.5 million in the 2027-28 season. But Staley led the Gamecocks to a 38-0 season in 2023-24 with her third national championship, which deserved another raise.

    The new deal maxes out at $5.25 million in 2029-30. Staley also received a one-time bonus of $500,000 for signing the contract.

    She is now the second-highest paid coach on campus, trailing football coach Shane Beamer. Beamer is set to make $6.625 million next season.

    LSU’s Kim Mulkey, who is making $3.25 million this year on her way to a max-out of $3.65 million in 2028-29, once had the highest women’s basketball salary. She was surpassed in June 2024 when Connecticut’s Geno Auriemma moved ahead on the strength of an extension that is paying him $3.34 million this season.

    Staley has surpassed each with her new deal, just like she has on the court. The Gamecocks have beaten UConn in five of their last six meetings, including in the 2022 national championship game, while Staley has yet to lose to Mulkey in four tries since the coach took over at LSU before the 2021-22 season, including last season’s SEC Tournament championship game.

    The No. 5 Tigers visit Colonial Life Arena to play the Gamecocks on Jan. 23. The No. 6 Huskies arrive on Feb. 16.

    Staley’s buyout terms also changed. Under her old deal, USC would have owed Staley $1.5 million if they were to terminate the deal after this season, with decreasing sums for each successive year. Staley would have owed USC $3.5 million if she terminated the deal after this season, with the sum decreasing to $2 million in the final year of the deal.

    The new terms are that USC would owe Staley the full amount of the remaining contract if she were to be terminated, which could be lessened should Staley get another college job. If Staley wants to terminate the deal herself, she would owe USC the full amount of the remaining contract, with one exception.

    If Staley were to take an assistant or head coach job in the NBA or WNBA, she would owe USC nothing. Staley has been contacted by multiple NBA teams over the past few years to talk about their head-coaching positions.

    Her incentives remained the same. Staley hit every one last year and earned an extra $680,000.

    Staley finished her 16th season at USC in April with her third title and just the 10th perfect season in women’s college basketball history. She did it despite replacing every starter from a 2022-23 team that went 36-1 and advanced to the Final Four.

    She is 269-31 since 2016-17, the year of her first title, and 121-12 in the SEC. The Gamecocks have won eight SEC regular-season championships, eight SEC Tournaments and advanced to six Final Fours under Staley’s leadership, and since the new decade began, USC has been the best program in the country.

    Since 2019-20, the season with no NCAA Tournament due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Gamecocks are a glittering 184-10 and have lost just three SEC regular-season games. They were 32-1 that season and certainly seemed destined for the Final Four but settled for making it in every season since.

    USC is 126-4 over the past 3½ seasons and has won 91 of its past 93 games, an SEC-record 52 straight regular-season league games and two national championships. The Gamecocks were ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 for 61 of 63 weeks coming into this season before being knocked out by UCLA, but USC hasn’t lost since and is currently ranked No. 2.





    The University of South Carolina women’s basketball head coach, Dawn Staley, has received a contract bump after leading the Gamecocks to multiple successful seasons.
