En la capital duranguense hay necesidad de vivienda, admite Inmuvi
Proyecto. Planean entregar cinco mil lotes en el nuevo fraccionamiento Durango Tierra del Cine.
Son más de 35 mil duranguenses que viven en condiciones de hacinamiento, para quienes la necesidad de vivienda es urgente.

Para reducir el hacinamiento, el Gobierno Municipal le está apostando a la construcción del fraccionamiento Durango Tierra del Cine, con el que se pretende beneficiar al menos a unas mil 200 familias con lotes que contarán con servicios.

Se entregarán en total unos 5 mil lotes a través del Instituto Municipal de la Vivienda (Inmuvi), con un financiamiento a personas que no cuentan con otras opciones para adquirir un crédito de vivienda y se contribuye a reducir los índices de pobreza.

Jesús González Smith, director del Inmuvi, explicó que son lotes de 96 metros cuadrados, equipados con agua, luz, pavimentación y áreas verdes.

Es un proyecto único en su tipo a nivel nacional que refleja el compromiso con el bienestar de la población, expresó.

Se brinda una oportunidad, indicó, para que trabajadores y ciudadanos con menores ingresos puedan acceder a un hogar digno y accesible.

Bernie Sanders praises Trump campaign proposal

According to FOX News, Senator Bernie Sanders recently praised Trump’s proposal for a 10% cap on credit card interest rates.

“During the recent campaign, Donald Trump proposed a 10% cap on credit card interest rates. Great idea. Let’s see if he supports the legislation that I will introduce to do just that,” Sanders wrote on X.

Trump has shared a number of his plans and Day One Agenda, from slashing the number of federal workers to “vigorously pursuing” capital punishment.

President-elect Trump set to hold rally in DC’s Capital One Arena ahead of inauguration

WAHINGTON (7News) — President-elect Donald Trump is expected to hold a “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 19, the day before he is sworn in for a second term as president.

The rally was announced Wednesday by the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee and will take place at Capital One Arena, according to a Monumental Sports & Entertainment spokesperson.

The D.C. arena has a seating capacity of about 20,000 and the event registration states it’s scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. ET with doors opening at 11 a.m.

This event will be Trump’s first rally in D.C. since his Jan. 6, 2021, speech on the Ellipse. That event preceded the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol by those seeking to overturn the 2020 election results. The Jan. 19 rally falls on the fourth anniversary of the riot.

Trump is set to take the oath of office at the Capitol on Jan. 20. Anti-scale fencing has already been installed around the Capitol complex, though road closures for the Jan. 19 rally have not yet been announced.

The Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee has not announced speakers for the rally.

Since last year, District leaders have been planning for major security as we get close to inauguration activities in the city.

“I think the biggest difference has to do with January 6 preparations. The election certification preparations. The kind of security apparatus is structured differently because it’s a national special security event. And the inauguration planning I think is proceeding as we would expect,” D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said at a press conference in late November.

7News reached out to Capital One Arena officials Thursday and revived the following statement:

“We have made our arena available to every administration for inaugural events, dating back decades, irrespective of party. We are happy that President Trump has accepted our offer and we will welcome him and his guests to Capital One Arena on January 19.”

The start of the event was delayed by 30 minutes due to high winds being forecast, and inflatable cartoon characters are no longer going to be used, event spokesman Dan Kirkby said.

The route this year sees the parade start at Piccadilly outside The Ritz. It then heads east to Piccadilly Circus before going down Regent Street St James’s.

The procession will then turn left down Pall Mall and past Trafalgar Square. The parade will then finish at 3.30pm at Whitehall.

Singer Peter Andre will headline the parade this year.

Other acts performing include the motorcycle display team Moto-Stunts International and the London Chinatown Chinese Association.

Cincinnati investment capital firm raises $267M fund
CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – A Cincinnati investment capital firm has raised a fund exceeding $250 million that’s its biggest one ever.

Kenwood-based Northcreek Mezzanine wrapped up its fourth fund in December by raising $267 million, Northcreek managing partner Barry Peterson told the Business Courier.

The mezzanine capital company, formed in 2007 and which completed its first investment fund in 2010, has raised $754 million across its four investment funds. Those funds have dramatically increased in size. The first fund totaled $68.5 million. Subsequent funds totaled $200.6 million and $217.6 million before it completed the current fund.
