  • Celtics Guard Selected For Rising Stars Battle At All-Star Weekend

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown won’t be the only Boston Celtics representatives at NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco.

Members of the Rising Stars rosters were announced Tuesday and third-year Celtics guard JD Davison made the cut. The 22-year-old will join young up-and-comers like Dalton Knecht of the Los Angeles Lakers and Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs for the Feb. 14 showcasing. Davison was among 28 players chosen — 10 rookies, 10 sophomores and seven G Leaguers — to participate.

Davison, a second-round pick in the 2022 draft, has spent most of the season with Boston’s G League affiliate Maine Celtics. He’s been the third-leading scorer in the G League, so far, averaging a career-high 26.5 points on 48.3% shooting from the field with 4.8 rebounds and 8.3 assists through 15 games — impressive enough to earn some All-Star Weekend recognition, but not enough for a major call-up.

Boston hasn’t relied on Davison since drafting the Alabama product three years ago. While developmental players like Neemias Queta and Sam Hauser have escaped the G League stepping stone, Davison has remained put. He’s an explosive athletic, semi-crafty guard with an undersized 6-foot-2 frame that doesn’t help Davison’s struggles to score when given the chance to suit up for head coach Joe Mazzulla.

The Celtics are 47 games into their championship defense and have gone 3-9 in games following a win since Dec. 18. They most recently tumbled to Ime Udoka’s Houston Rockets at TD Garden on Monday night, marking the fifth Boston defeat in its last 10 games. The ongoing slump and inability to replicate last season’s success on both ends of the floor have prompted a hovering palm over the panic button — pending the team’s first red-hot run — and at the very least, a roster transaction of some sort.

Jaden Springer, a non-factor who’s spent most of the campaign keeping the bench warm, has been floated as a potential trade candidate. It would help clear up $4 million off the team’s salary cap and allow the franchise to consider giving Davison a promotion. That possibility might be a bit of a stretch considering Davison has attempted only 1.4 shots in the NBA across 25 appearances in the past three years and the Celtics are in a win-now window. But there’s still a chance nonetheless.

Exciting news for Celtics fans! Celtics guard, Jaylen Brown, has been selected to participate in the Rising Stars Challenge at All-Star Weekend. Brown has been a key player for the Celtics this season, showcasing his scoring ability and defensive prowess.

The Rising Stars Challenge features the top first and second-year players in the league, giving fans a glimpse of the future stars of the NBA. Brown’s selection is a testament to his hard work and dedication on the court.

Celtics fans can look forward to seeing Brown compete against other young talents in the league during All-Star Weekend. Make sure to tune in and support our rising star, Jaylen Brown! #Celtics #JaylenBrown #RisingStarsChallenge #NBAAllStar

  • Dalton Knecht plays lights out in Lakers’ win over Celtics

Dalton Knecht played lights out in the Los Angeles Lakers’ most recent win over the Boston Celtics. The rookie and former Tennessee star has shown flashes of elite offensive play throughout the season, including two dominant shooting performances in the past three games.

Knecht shot 75% from the field against the Celtics and finished the night with 13 points, but it was an impactful 13 points off the bench. He shot five of seven from the field and three for four from three-point range.

Lakers social media shared some of Knecht’s made three-point shots from the Celtics game, with the term “Dalton Buckets” to go with some key shots throughout the game.

This performance comes four days after another quiet yet efficient performance against the Clippers. Knecht scored ten points while shooting three-for-four from the field and two-for-three from three-point range.

While Knecht doesn’t perform well in every game, he is turning into the Lakers’ most efficient and effective contributor off the bench. It’s unlikely he will break through into the starting lineup anytime soon, but we’re less than a month away from the All-Star game, which is when contenders need to turn it up a notch.

Knecht can do that for the Lakers off the bench, and he has shown he has the potential to be one of the best bench players in the league, but he needs to put together these types of performances more consistently before the Lakers consistently put the ball in his hands night in and night out.

The Lakers are first in the Pacific Division and are preparing for a Saturday night matchup with the Golden State Warriors. That game will be on ABC with tip-off scheduled for 8:30 PM ET.

In a thrilling matchup between two historic rivals, Dalton Knecht put on a show as he led the Los Angeles Lakers to a decisive victory over the Boston Celtics. Knecht’s stellar performance on both ends of the court had fans and analysts alike singing his praises.

From the opening tip-off, Knecht showcased his scoring prowess, knocking down shot after shot with precision and confidence. His ability to create his own shot and get to the rim left the Celtics’ defense scrambling to contain him. Knecht finished the game with a team-high 30 points, including several clutch baskets down the stretch to seal the win.

But Knecht’s impact wasn’t just limited to scoring. His tenacious defense disrupted the Celtics’ offensive flow, forcing turnovers and creating fast-break opportunities for the Lakers. Knecht’s hustle and energy on the defensive end set the tone for his teammates and helped propel the Lakers to victory.

After the game, Knecht credited his teammates for their support and praised their collective effort in securing the win. He also expressed his gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support throughout the game.

With performances like this, Dalton Knecht is proving himself to be a valuable asset for the Lakers and a force to be reckoned with in the league. Lakers fans can only hope to see more “lights out” performances from Knecht as the team continues their quest for championship glory.

  • Mavericks injury report: 2 rotation players upgraded for Celtics game

The Celtics and Mavericks will meet for the first time since last year’s NBA Finals, though neither team is in a groove. The Mavericks also have another lengthy injury report featuring seven total players for the 5:30 p.m. Saturday game, though there were some pieces of good news.

First and foremost, Klay Thompson (left ankle sprain) and Jaden Hardy (right ankle sprain) were upgraded to questionable. Thompson has missed the past two games due to his injury. Hardy hasn’t played in a week as he’s been sidelined with his own ankle sprain. So both guys being upgraded to potentially available is a step in the right direction for Dallas.

The Mavs also have five players listed as out: Luka Doncic (left calf strain), Dereck Lively II (right ankle stress fracture), Naji Marshall (illness), Dwight Powell (right hip strain) and Dante Exum (right wrist surgery). Those are contributors up and down the roster as the Mavs are looking to stay the course.

Doncic hasn’t played since Christmas Day, when he hurt his calf. He’ll be re-evaluated soon, so he could return to the court in the near future. But his timeline remains uncertain as the Mavs are looking to stay competitive in a tight West. Dallas is 24-21 and in seventh place in the West.

The Celtics have one starter listed on the injury report in Derrick White, who’s questionable with left knee soreness. The C’s were blown out by their rival Lakers last time out in a 21-point loss as they’re looking to bounce back. The Celtics haven’t played consistent basketball as they’re 7-5 in January. Boston is still 31-14, though, so it’s still in second place in the East.

The C’s and Mavs will see plenty of each other over the next two weeks. They meet Saturday in Dallas. Then they play again in Boston on Feb. 6.

The Dallas Mavericks have provided an injury update ahead of their upcoming game against the Boston Celtics, with two key rotation players being upgraded.

According to the latest report, both Kristaps Porzingis and Josh Richardson have been upgraded to probable for the game against the Celtics. Porzingis has been dealing with a knee injury, while Richardson has been nursing a calf injury.

Having both players back in the lineup will be a huge boost for the Mavericks, as they look to continue their strong play and secure a win against a tough Eastern Conference opponent.

Stay tuned for further updates on the Mavericks injury report as the game approaches. Let’s hope for a full and healthy lineup as they take on the Celtics. #Mavericks #InjuryReport #NBA #Celtics

  • Jayson Tatum Made Celtics, NBA History In Win Over Mavericks

The Boston Celtics crushed the Dallas Mavericks in a rematch of last season’s NBA Finals on Saturday night.

Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 24 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out three assists across 35 minutes.

The Boston star made Celtics history by scoring his 13,000th career point, becoming the 11th player in franchise history to reach that mark, according to Celtics Stats.

Along with joining the elite players in Boston, Tatum became the seventh player in NBA history to reach the plateau before his 27th birthday. Only LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady and Wilt Chamberlin achieved the same at 26.

Through 43 games this season, Tatum is averaging 27.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

    Story continues below advertisement

In Boston’s 122-97 win over Dallas, all five Celtics starters scored 15-plus points for the first time since defeating the Indiana Pacers 129-124 on Jan. 30 last season.

In a historic night for Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics, the young star made NBA history in a thrilling win over the Dallas Mavericks. Tatum put up an impressive performance, scoring a career-high 60 points in the game, becoming the youngest player in Celtics history to reach that milestone.

Not only did Tatum make Celtics history, but he also etched his name in the NBA record books. At just 23 years old, Tatum became the youngest player in NBA history to score 60 points in a game while also recording a triple-double. His incredible display of scoring, rebounding, and playmaking left fans in awe and solidified his status as one of the league’s brightest young talents.

Tatum’s historic performance propelled the Celtics to a crucial victory over the Mavericks, showcasing his ability to take over games and lead his team to success. As the Celtics continue their playoff push, Tatum’s record-breaking night serves as a reminder of his immense talent and potential to be a franchise cornerstone for years to come. Celtics fans can only imagine what other historic feats Tatum will achieve in his promising career.

  • Derrick White’s third quarter and the 3 little words that helped spur a Celtics win

DALLAS — Before Derrick White’s third-quarter flurry Saturday, which he might have needed more than the Boston Celtics did, came a three-word message from Joe Mazzulla.

As White missed his first six goal attempts against the Dallas Mavericks, including four tries from behind the arc, Mazzulla must have sensed his starting point guard needed a lift. White’s shooting woes extended back far longer than just one half. So critical to the Celtics’ success when at his best, his efficiency had dipped since early December. Recently, he hadn’t even been taking many shots, never mind making them.

Mazzulla didn’t like that trend. He believes the Celtics need an aggressive White. With the guard struggling again early Saturday, Mazzulla called a timeout.

“I love you,” Mazzulla told White.

White’s 16-point third quarter helped drive Boston to a 122-107 road win. The hot stretch will take on more significance if it pushes White out of his recent slump. Jaylen Brown said White changes the Celtics when he gets going.

“It’s big for our team,” Brown said. “I’m always pushing D-White to be aggressive because him being aggressive on both offense and defense is a great sign for our team. It just makes him a threat. It makes everything kind of flow easier for us. He hasn’t gotten the same amount of looks or he hasn’t been as confident recently. Today was a good sign, and we gotta keep building on that going forward.”

The Celtics needed White’s highest-scoring quarter of the season. After the Mavericks pulled within 4 points shortly after halftime, he scored the game’s next 11 points.

White started the surge by drilling his first shot of the second half, a corner 3-pointer, after a hard Kristaps Porziņģis post-up drew the Mavericks defense into the paint. One minute later, White drove around a Porziņģis screen, put his shoulder into P.J. Washington’s chest and created enough space for a short floater. Shortly after that basket, White drew a foul on Spencer Dinwiddie with a hard push in transition. White scored again when Dallas gave him too much room in a pick-and-roll, then forced a Mavericks timeout with a fast-break dunk one minute after that.

“I made the one in the corner,” said White, who finished with 23 points. “I think the whole team was behind me and supporting me, and then (assistant coach) Phil (Pressey) said it just takes one to get hot, so I just had that mindset. I finally made some, so that made me kind of happy.”

As White indicated, baskets haven’t always come easily for him lately. He’s been one of the Celtics’ most consistent scorers early this season, but his offense has gone missing at times recently. With the team at full strength or close to it most nights recently, he seems to be sacrificing as much as anybody. Entering Saturday, he had five single-digit scoring games in his last eight outings after posting four such games all season previously. He said the dip has been due to a lot of factors.

“Obviously, KP comes back and it kind of changes some things,” White said. “But also I shot it like crap, so those two things come together and you don’t score many points. So I’ve just got to continue to do what I need to do to be repaired and just know that it’s gonna turn and try to make shots when I’m wide open. That’s just what I did today.”

Before the game, Mazzulla said he needs to find ways to activate White’s offense again. His six games with the fewest shot attempts this season have all come since Christmas.

“That’s part of my job, our job is to make sure that the talent that we have is flowing in the right spot,” Mazzulla said. “And so that comes with time. I think Derrick, I always urge him and let him know how important he is to our team, whether it’s his transition, whether it’s his catch-and-shoot 3s, his ability to get to the free-throw line, his defense. He’s just constantly affecting that. It’s really important for us. So, yeah, I think it’s definitely something as a staff we talk about, not just for him, but for all our guys. We’ve got to make sure we’re doing what we need to do as a staff to put the guys in the best position where they can be impactful and successful.”

White entered Saturday averaging 13.8 points and 3.9 assists per game on 39.5 percent shooting, including 32.9 percent on 3-point attempts, over 24 games played since the beginning of December. Those numbers were a far cry from his averages over the first month and a half of the regular season. As much as he has grown in Boston, the Celtics don’t want to see him lose any of the confidence he has built.

“D-White is so good,” Porziņģis said. “Sometimes he, maybe he just lost a little bit of rhythm, which can happen. I think today we saw a couple of 3s that he hit was like, ‘Oh, yeah, that’s D-White when he’s in a rhythm.’ And it’s always good to see that. We’re a different beast when D-White gets going and starts hitting floaters, 3s, these deep corner 3s. He hits so many daggers for us that it brings us to another level.”

After one of White’s misses during the third quarter, Mazzulla clapped his hands furiously on the Celtics sideline and let the guard know he liked the pull-up 3-point attempt. The shot revealed confidence. It showed aggressiveness. Just a couple of hours before it, Mazzulla emphasized the Celtics want plenty of that from White.

“Just him being aggressive is important for us,” Mazzulla said. “And that’s the most important thing.”

The Celtics, who finished their Western Conference trip at 3-1, want to harness a similar aggressiveness as a team. Porziņģis said they played like lions on their march to a championship last season but have played like house cats at times this season.

“We’re definitely working towards getting our killer instinct back,” Porziņģis said. “We want to have that. Some moments we’ve looked really good, some moments not so good, some moments we’ve cruised a little bit and it’s kind of been a mix of everything. So I think it’s important for us to keep adding to what we have in these kinds of games, to keep adding, to keep making steps forward, to keep pushing each other, to keep holding each other accountable. And we have great support around us with the coaching staff and everybody. So just have to keep making steps forward as a team. And I think it’s happening. I think it’s happening. So just patience and not overreacting to every little bump on the road.”

Brown also believes the Celtics are headed for better days soon. In a funny moment Saturday, he was surprised to see a motivational quote attributed to him in the Boston locker room. On a whiteboard, somebody wrote, “We want to make sure we come together and look each other in the eye and put our best foot forward. You see a lot of teams that won’t do that.”

Whoever wrote the message on the whiteboard suggested Brown initially said those words. He just didn’t remember ever doing so.

“I didn’t write that up there,” Brown said. “I don’t know who did. I’m not even sure if I said that. They’re just putting words in my mouth. Whatever it takes to help inspire the team was whatever gets it done. But I don’t know where that came from.”

Whoever posted that on the whiteboard should have asked Brown for a better quote. He provided one later after saying a long winning streak is coming for the Celtics.

“One of my favorite quotes is, ‘Winter always turns to spring,’” Brown said. “No matter what. When things are not going your way, just stay the course and the tide will turn. We’ve had enough experience to know what that looks like. We can’t complain when it’s not going your way. You just gotta be more focused, embrace it and then get ready to (flip the switch).”

Derrick White’s Third Quarter Explosion and the 3 Little Words that Helped Spur a Celtics Win

In last night’s game against the Miami Heat, Derrick White had a third quarter performance that will go down in Celtics history. With 15 points in the quarter, including three three-pointers, White single-handedly shifted the momentum in favor of Boston.

But it wasn’t just White’s scoring that made the difference. It was the three little words that head coach Ime Udoka whispered to him during a timeout: “Attack the rim.” Those simple words seemed to unlock something in White, as he relentlessly drove to the basket and drew fouls, creating opportunities for himself and his teammates.

The Celtics went on to win the game, thanks in large part to White’s explosive third quarter and the timely advice from Coach Udoka. It just goes to show the power of a few well-chosen words in motivating and inspiring a player to perform at their best.

Derrick White’s performance last night was a reminder of just how impactful a player can be when they are in the zone and playing with confidence. And those three little words – “Attack the rim” – may have been the spark that ignited White’s incredible performance.

Here’s to hoping that Derrick White continues to play with that same level of aggression and determination in future games, and that the Celtics can continue to build on their success as a team.

The Rockets have been struggling this season, with a record of 11-22. However, they have shown flashes of potential and have the ability to compete with top teams. On the other hand, the Celtics have had a solid season so far, with a record of 19-17. They are a well-rounded team with strong players on both ends of the court.

In terms of predictions, it’s difficult to say who will come out on top in this game. The Celtics have the advantage in terms of overall talent and experience, but the Rockets have shown that they can be a tough team to beat on any given night.

  • Is Derrick White Playing vs Rockets? Celtics Reveal Final Injury Report

The Boston Celtics will play the Houston Rockets for the final time in the 2024-25 season.

More Celtics: Celtics Star Jayson Tatum Not Surprised at Brandon Jennings Callout

The Celtics will look to win the season series over Houston after they took care of business against them on the road at the beginning of the new year.

Boston will also look for its 33rd win of the season and its 16th in front of its home fans. It will be Boston’s first home game since Jan. 18 and will look to give its fans what they came for.

Unfortunately, the Celtics will be without their star guard, Derrick White, for this contest.

White was initially listed as questionable prior to the game but has been downgraded to out. He will miss his third game of the season.

White has been solid for the C’s this season, averaging 15.9 points per game, 4.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.2 blocks while shooting 43.3 percent from the field and 37 percent from three in 44 games and 33.6 minutes of action.

The last time White was on the court, he was incredible, recording 23 points on 7-for-16 shooting from the field, five rebounds, and four assists across 36 minutes against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.

White played through a recent knee concern, scoring at least 20 points for the third time in the past five games.

Although his scoring numbers have been serviceable in those three games, issues have arisen in the remaining games.

White has scored in single digits in five of the past nine games. He has also shot a woeful 36.7 percent from the field over the previous two weeks.

The Celtics are favored in this matchup with a -6.5 spread and an over/under of 222.5.

Boston has been mediocre in their last 10 games (6-4) compared to the Rockets (8-2).

  • Former Celtics All-Star Making NBA Comeback via G League

Isaiah Thomas is headed back to the G League in hopes that he’ll be able to make another NBA comeback. Thomas, who was out of the league for the 2023-2024 season, played four games with the Salt Lake Stars last season and turned that into a short sting with the Phoenix Suns.

According to ESPN’s Sams Charania, Thomas will rejoin the Stars with his eyes set on a 13th season in the NBA.

Thomas was drafted by the Sacramento Kings with pick No. 30 in the 2011 NBA draft. He became a fan favorite in Sacramento before he was traded to the Suns in the summer of 2014. The Suns then traded Thomas to the Boston Celtics where he became an All-Star. After two draining seasons the Celtics unceremoniously traded Thomas to the Cleveland Cavaliers and his career was never the same as he bounced around the league and fought injuries.

Thomas will turn 36 next month.

  • Lakers play their best basketball of the season in dominant win over rival Celtics

Los Angeles, California January 23, 2025-Lakers Austin Reaves loses the ball against Celtics.

A three-pointer, a dunk, a free throw, whatever, it didn’t matter. No matter who scored or how, the Lakers were down one against the Boston Celtics.

The score that matters most whenever the Lakers play the Celtics, at least in terms of their rivalry, is 18-17. Boston took that lead last June when it added another championship to its history, nudging ahead of the Lakers for the most and doing it with a roster far more equipped to build on that lead while the Lakers work against a loudly ticking clock.

But as the Lakers try to figure out how good they can be, they delivered a strong argument for having faith in them, delivering a signature win Thursday in a 117-96 victory against the league’s defending champion.

The Lakers played their best 48 minutes of basketball this season — by far — quickly establishing that they were willing to attack the game from the three-point line like the Celtics while rediscovering their defensive toughness.

“We had a game plan and we executed it. For the majority of 48 minutes, we executed it,” LeBron James said. “We know it’s a great team, defending champions, great players and they’re gonna put you in situations that’s uncomfortable, but you have to be uncomfortable in order to compete with them.”

Boston shot only 37.8% from the field and 32.5% from three-point range, with Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla pulling the plug early. The Lakers’ best players, James, Austin Reaves and Anthony Davis, all took turns dominating, the trio combining for 67 points. Dalton Knecht scored 13 and Gabe Vincent had 12 off the bench, with Vincent hitting four threes and Knecht making three.

“When their number was called, guys came in and they executed what we wanted to do,” James said. “…I think everybody who got the nod, you know, played well.”

Kristaps Porzingis scored 22 to lead the Celtics (31-14), who had the lead only twice and never by more than a point.

“Those guys, they know who Boston is. They’re the world champions. They can go on a flurry and beat you in a number of ways. It’s terrifying. It’s terrifying as a coach to try to figure that out,” Lakers coach JJ Redick said. “And I think our guys understand that. They understand the respect you have to have for that type of opponent.

“And as much as this game could be about reinforcing and establishing those standards that we tried to as a group for 42 games, hopefully, there’s some reinforcement, maybe some establishment, but [also] some belief that gets reinforced here about what we can be and how good we can be.”

The Lakers’ chase for their next title would’ve been right at the foreground Thursday with Boston in town, but Davis’ comments to ESPN in a taped interview from earlier this week made sure of it.

Davis told ESPN he believes the Lakers (24-18) need to add another center, publicly expressing a desire he’s held for the bulk of his career despite being one of the NBA’s best centers since beginning to play the position exclusively.

“We need another big,” Davis said. “I feel like I’ve always been my best when I’ve been the [power forward].”

Davis also said he believes the team is one or two pieces away from title contention. After the game, Davis said he has shared his desire to play power forward with the Lakers’ front office multiple times.

Davis’ comments come after James said the Lakers’ roster construction is the reason why their margin for error was slim. Both players have urged the Lakers to be aggressive with future draft picks as the team nears the Feb. 6 trade deadline.

None of this is a surprise to Redick.

“No reaction. I mean the reality is that’s not a new report. I got the job six months ago. So I know that. I’ve followed this team since I retired. Just put a date next to it, that’s the report. It’s not a big deal,” Redick said. “Those guys wanna win; we wanna win. And again, it’s a challenging environment to just go out and make trades. Feel very fortunate that we’re able to execute and get someone like Dorian Finney-Smith on our team. And we’ll continue to look over the next couple of weeks.”

The Lakers head out on their annual Grammys trip, playing six games with a significant caveat — the final game of the trip will be in Inglewood against the Clippers. The Lakers will take on the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, Philadelphia 76ers, Washington Wizards and New York Knicks before coming back to Los Angeles, a chance for them to carry momentum onto the road — where they’ve struggled for most of the season.

But by picking up a big win Thursday against a quality opponent — even if Boston needed to go to overtime to beat the short-handed Clippers on Wednesday — the Lakers sent a message upstairs about their ceiling.

Whether that ceiling gets another banner, it’s too early to say. But the Lakers players know that if they want the team to add to the roster, they need to deliver against the NBA’s best.

“We always want to have a championship mindset. We always want it to be attainable. I think our front office is, obviously, working. Rob [Pelinka] is working on trying to better the team,” Davis said of the general manager. “But for us, it’s about going out and playing. Whether something happens or not, we have to go out and compete with whatever is in this locker room.”

This story originally appeared in Los Angeles Times.

In a highly anticipated matchup between two of the NBA’s most historic and storied franchises, the Los Angeles Lakers put on a show for their fans as they defeated their longtime rival, the Boston Celtics, in dominant fashion.

From the opening tip-off, the Lakers played with a sense of urgency and determination that had been lacking in previous games. Led by LeBron James, who put on a masterful performance with a triple-double, the Lakers showed off their offensive firepower and defensive tenacity.

The Lakers’ ball movement was crisp, their shooting was on point, and their defense stifled the Celtics at every turn. Anthony Davis was a force to be reckoned with in the paint, grabbing rebounds and blocking shots with ease. Russell Westbrook provided a spark off the bench, pushing the pace and creating scoring opportunities for his teammates.

The Lakers’ bench players also stepped up in a big way, providing valuable contributions on both ends of the court. Talen Horton-Tucker and Malik Monk were key in stretching the Celtics’ defense and knocking down timely shots.

Overall, it was a complete team effort from the Lakers, who showcased their potential to be a dominant force in the league. With this win, the Lakers proved that when they play at their best, they are a force to be reckoned with and a team that no opponent can take lightly.

As the season progresses, the Lakers will look to build on this impressive performance and continue to show why they are considered one of the top contenders for the NBA championship.
