    An upcoming IRS auction is set to feature items once owned by Tekashi 6ix9ine, who was reported last April to have had his Florida residence raided by federal agents.

    The online listing from Florida-based Market Auctions has been making the rounds on social media this week, with live bidding on the pieces slated to begin on March 5. Items pictured on the auction site include multicolor enamel grills, a Bruce the Shark pendant, a Jigsaw pendant, a Stoopid World Champs ring, a Cartier watch, a diamond Cuban link necklace, two different Star of David pendants, a Hermès bag, and more.

    Multiple plaques commemorating Gold and Platinum certifications from the RIAA are also part of the auction, including those for 6ix9ine collabs like “Fefe” with Nicki Minaj and “Poles 1469” with Trippie Redd.

    In December 2023, news broke that the auctioning off of 6ix9ine-related items was imminent due to a multimillion-dollar judgment in connection with a lawsuit accusing him of hitting a woman with a champagne bottle. By April of the following year, his home had been raided, resulting in multiple items being seized. Then, in July, TMZ reported that two luxury vehicles previously owned by 6ix9ine, specifically a Lamborghini and a Bentley, had been sold at auction.

    On Instagram on Friday, 6ix9ine addressed the situation by advising those who don’t “live like this” to keep their opinions on what transpired to themselves.

    “The reality was that I could not leave and get to the USA,” he said when addressing the raid and what’s happened since.

  • Starbucks’ Niccol aims to tame the chain’s mobile order floods

    (Reuters) – Starbucks’ new CEO, Brian Niccol, has a vision to make Starbucks into a classic coffeehouse, but he has to contend with an unusual challenge: the company’s mobile orders are as disruptive as they are popular.

    “They come in flooding faster than our customer can get there,” Niccol said in a call with investors on Tuesday. He said baristas’ rush to pile those orders on the counter comes at the expense of providing a more personal touch to in-store customers.

    Niccol called out mobile ordering as a bottleneck five times during the call, and said the company — which on Tuesday posted a smaller-than-expected drop in comparable sales — would work toward sequencing mobile orders with the help of an algorithm to improve efficiency behind the counter.

    In some ways, Starbucks’ abundance of mobile orders has presented an opposite problem to what Niccol faced six years ago when he was CEO of Mexican restaurant chain Chipotle when he oversaw the launching of a mobile app and drive-through lanes dedicated to orders from that app, called Chipotlanes.

    Niccol told investors in October 2018 that he believed less than half of Chipotle’s customers knew they could order through digital channels. “We need to improve that dramatically,” he said at the time.

    Starbucks introduced mobile ordering in 2015, and customers quickly took advantage of it.

    Mobile orders took precedence for Starbucks under Niccol’s predecessor Laxman Narasimhan as the company focused on driving traffic through its rewards program members tapping into offers and discounts on the app.

    In contrast, comfortable seating, ceramic mugs and baristas with Sharpies and personalized messages on coffee cups have been at the center of Niccol’s attempt to take Starbucks back to its roots, and the hustle of mobile orders stands counterintuitive to that strategy.

    The company is piloting an in-store prioritization algorithm to sequence mobile orders away from the current first-come, first-served basis, said Niccol, who was awarded compensation of nearly $96 million in 2024, a year in which he joined Starbucks as CEO in September. The pay package made Niccol one of the highest-paid executives in corporate America.

    “I was in one of our stores this morning where we’ve already started to put this algorithm in,” Niccol said. “That happens behind the scenes, and it smoothes out those rushes of mobile orders such that our teams are able to provide great moments of connection for the in-cafe customer and the mobile order customer as well.”

    Around 70 fans of Spanish club Real Sociedad were attacked by Lazio ultras in Rome on Wednesday, a spokesperson with Rome Capital Police told CNN.

    According to police, the attack by 80 suspected Lazio ultras – a hardcore faction of the club’s fanbase – took place in a nightclub in the center of the Italian capital, near the Colosseum in the neighborhood of Monti. Lazio and Real Sociedad are scheduled to play each other in the Europa League Thursday night.

    Police said that nine people were taken to a local hospital, three of whom were stabbed, and the others were beaten with metal chains, hammers and leather straps. Three people remain in hospital, while several people refused treatment, a spokesperson for San Giovanni hospital told CNN.

    City councilor Nathalie Naim posted footage of the violence on Facebook, writing: “Scenes of war tonight in the Rione Monti. The roar of violent explosions, the sky turning red, screams, the buildings shaking, the people running away from the various premises.

    “Groups of Spanish and Lazio fans dressed in black, some with helmets and bats, faced each other at the pub in Via Leonina with knives, jacks and hammers where they threw paper bombs … Police officers and financial police in riot gear and ambulances intervened.

    “When everything was over after a few hours, the police advised not to circulate in the district.”

    CNN has reached out to Lazio for comment.

    “The images of the attacks last night in Rome against Spanish fans are shameful and unacceptable,” Rome mayor Roberto Gualtieri said on Thursday. “Rome strongly rejects these scenes of insane violence that offend the city, its citizens and the spirit of sport.

    “I trust that the investigations of the police will soon shed light on those responsible, because the Capital of Italy does not want and does not deserve to be remembered for such barbarity.”

    Lazio ultras, also known as the “Irriducibili,” are notorious for their links with the far-right in Italy, as well as engaging in violent and anti-Semitic behavior.

    In 2019, Lazio fans were filmed making fascist salutes and displaying a banner in support of former Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini before an Italian Cup game in Milan.

    Two years prior to that, the club was widely condemned after supporters posted stickers around Rome’s Stadio Olimpico depicting Holocaust victim Anne Frank wearing the shirt of city rival Roma alongside anti-Semitic slogans.

    Police said that security will be heightened ahead of Thursday’s Europa League match. Lazio is currently top of the group having won five and drawn one of its first six matches, while Real Sociedad is 12th and looking to climb into the automatic qualification spots.



    In a shocking turn of events, Lazio ultras are suspected of using metal chains, hammers, and leather straps to attack Real Sociedad supporters, according to police reports.
