Amy Schumer Recreates ‘Trainwreck’ Dance Scene with Knicks City Dancers
Amy Schumer’s still got it!
As the Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the New York Knicks on Saturday, Feb. 1, the actress and comedian, 43, took the crowd at Madison Square Garden by surprise by recreating the most iconic scene from her film Trainwreck — 10 years after the film came out.
During halftime at the heated New York City basketball game, the Knicks City Dancers invited Schumer to the court. The cheerleading squad called the star, who initially pretended to be shocked at the gesture, out of her courtside seat with the camera and summoned her to center court, where she then flawlessly executed a dance to “Uptown Girl” by Billy Joel.
The coordinated group number, which featured Schumer front and center, wasn’t exactly the same as the dance she does with the Knicks cheerleaders in Trainwreck as a gesture to her onscreen love interest Bill Hader. It was, however, similarly intensive — even including a kick line.
The quick dance ended with a group pose and Schumer blowing kisses to the crowd, which also included LeBron James, who starred in her 2015 film. It also earned her a high honor — a “rookie of the year” title — in a feature on the Knicks City Dancers’ Instagram.
And, on her Instagram, Schumer shared some clips from the dance number, as well as some shots of her hanging out courtside at the Lakers vs. Knicks game with the cast of her latest film, Kinda Pregnant, including Jillian Bell, Will Forte and Brianne Howey.

The recreation also got a big reaction from Schumer’s celebrity pals, who filled her Instagram with praise for the number. “This is ICONIC,” Olivia Munn commented on her post, and Chelsea Handler said, “YES!”
Meanwhile, Katie Couric who was at MSG for the performance, wrote, “So glad I was there to witness this! Go Amy!”
Trainwreck — which Schumer co-wrote with Judd Apatow — marked her feature film debut. The 2015 rom-com follows Amy (Schumer), a magazine writer who does not believe monogamy is realistic, as she navigates falling in love for the first time with sports doctor Aaron Conners (Hader). James, 40, plays Aaron’s best friend.
Amy ends up performing with the Knicks City Dancers in the film to win back Aaron by, in her own words, showing him that she “can work hard,” “put myself out there” and “not be afraid to fail” — a “metaphor” for their relationship in the film.

Schumer’s latest film Kinda Pregnant, meanwhile, follows the comedian as Lainy, an English teacher in Brooklyn who, jealous of her best friend Kate’s (Bell) pregnancy, decides to wear a fake baby bump — then accidentally meets her dream man Josh (Forte) and gets caught up in furthering a growing lie.
The movie, which hits Netflix on Feb. 5, is “laugh-out-loud funny and relatable,” Schumer previously told PEOPLE.
The comedian also teased at least one emotional scene with character Megan, played by Howey. “Bri and I filmed a really special intimate scene sitting on the bathroom floor,” the star told PEOPLE, “and that was the most satisfying day of shooting for me as a woman and and artist. But don’t get it twisted — you will cry-laugh watching this movie.”
Amy Schumer recently delighted fans by recreating her iconic dance scene from the hit movie “Trainwreck” with the Knicks City Dancers during a halftime show at a New York Knicks game. The comedian and actress showed off her dance moves and comedic skills as she grooved alongside the talented dancers, bringing back memories of her hilarious performance in the film. Schumer’s infectious energy and sense of humor had the crowd cheering and laughing along with her.
Fans of Schumer and “Trainwreck” were thrilled to see her revisit the memorable dance scene, and it was a moment that certainly brought some much-needed fun and entertainment to the basketball game.
It’s clear that Schumer knows how to entertain a crowd, and this impromptu performance was just another example of her comedic talent and charisma. Here’s hoping we see more of her dance moves in the future!

#Amy #Schumer #Recreates #Trainwreck #Dance #Scene #Knicks #City #Dancers5-1.

¡Vamos Gunners!

Gabriel and William Saliba to renew ‘war’ with Erling Haaland as Arsenal face Man City – The Radar | Football News
Welcome to The Radar, a Sky Sports column in which Nick Wright uses a blend of data and opinion to shed light on need-to-know stories from up and down the Premier League. This week:
Gabriel, Saliba and Haaland to do battle
Versatile Gray a bright spot for Spurs
Iraola’s defensive innovation
A player to watch this weekendGabriel, Saliba and Haaland face off again
Erling Haaland telling Mikel Arteta to “stay humble” was the headline-grabbing moment from the fiery exchanges which followed September’s 2-2 draw between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium. But his battle with Gabriel was where it all started.
Haaland could be seen throwing the ball into the back of Gabriel’s head after John Stones’ stoppage-time equaliser, with the pair clashing again from the kick-off. On Sunday, live on Sky Sports, they will renew their “war”, as termed by Gabriel, at the Emirates Stadium.
Haaland scored the opener in that last meeting, racing onto Savinho’s pass and finishing coolly. But few centre-back pairings have made life more difficult for him than Gabriel and William Saliba.
His goal in the September game came after three meetings without even a shot on target, including last season’s Community Shield.
Since the start of last season, Haaland has averaged 0.33 goals per 90 minutes against Arsenal compared 0.91 per 90 minutes against other sides. He has taken fewer shots and those he has taken have registered lower on the expected goals scale.
Gabriel and Saliba have shown the capacity to stifle him, in other words, as they have so many others. Arsenal have a superior defensive record to any other Premier League side since the start of the 2022/23 season. The importance of their centre-backs is clear.
Arsenal have conceded an average of only 0.8 goals per game with Gabriel and Saliba starting compared to 1.4 per game without them. The difference in their points per game and win rate is similarly stark, from 2.3 to 1.8 and 73 per cent to 47 per cent respectively.
Even in the context of Arsenal’s difficulties, the pair have been particularly effective this season, limiting opponents to a meagre 0.71 goals per game when starting together, putting them just ahead of Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk on 0.78.
Of course, they know full well just how devastating Haaland can be.
Manchester City’s Haaland-inspired 4-1 thrashing of Arsenal in April 2023 came with Rob Holding deputising for the injured Saliba but both were present for their 3-1 loss two months earlier, in which Haaland also scored. His goal at the Etihad Stadium in September came when he exploited a gap between them.
Haaland also comes into this meeting in fine form. After a dip between September and December, he has scored six goals in his last seven games. He will be just as fired up as those tasked with stopping him on Sunday. Expect more fireworks to follow.
Gray filling holes for Spurs
Micky van de Ven came through Tottenham’s Europa League win over Elfsborg unscathed on his return to action but an injury to Radu Dragusin, his second-half replacement, means there’s little prospect of Archie Gray getting a rest against Brentford on Sunday.
The 18-year-old has started 14 consecutive games for Spurs amid their injury crisis. The fact he has shone so brightly during a dismal run of form for Ange Postecoglou’s side is even more impressive given the number of roles he has been asked to fulfil.
Gray started as Spurs’ right-sided centre-back against Elfsborg having played at left-back in their previous two games, against Hoffenheim and Leicester. Before that, against Everton, he started in central midfield, having been their left-sided centre-back against Arsenal only a few days earlier.
The circumstances would be demanding enough for a young player even without the positional changes. But Gray has taken it all in his stride, demonstrating extraordinary versatility and emerging from a torrid run for Spurs with his own reputation enhanced.
Iraola ripping up defensive rulebook
Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth host Liverpool on Saturday having extended their unbeaten run to 11 games with last weekend’s 5-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest. A point off the Champions League spots, they continue to defy the odds, despite a lengthy injury list.
They are doing it with one of the youngest sides in the Premier League this season. But what is really unusual about Bournemouth is that their youthfulness is concentrated in defence.
At centre-back, a position in which experience and knowhow are traditionally deemed crucial, Iraola is using the 22-year-old Illia Zabarnyi and the 19-year-old Dean Huijsen, a pairing roughly six years younger than the Premier League average this season.
Not that you would know it to watch them. The pair have developed an excellent understanding, displaying a level of assuredness to bely their years. Iraola’s side have only lost one of the 12 Premier League games they have started together and kept clean sheets in five.
Iraola’s preference for youth is not limited to his centre-backs. At left-back, there is the 21-year-old Milos Kerkez. At right-back, Julian Araujo, 23, was generally favoured before his injury, with James Hill, also 23, subsequently emerging as second choice when fit.
In Huijsen’s case, it is partly a story of circumstance, with Marcos Senesi unavailable due to injury. But it is also a stylistic choice. Iraola’s commitment to throwing bodies forward in attack demands defenders with the dynamism to cope when the ball is turned over.
“There are probably times when we suffer, experience-wise, because a lot of them are very young,” he explained to Sky Sports in an office at the Vitality Stadium in October. “But they give us the ability to defend big spaces and cope with those situations.”
The club have recruited with Iraola’s high-intensity approach in mind, making youth a priority. “You have to play to your strengths,” added Iraola. “That is why it helps to have a young team with players who can play with high energy, in a high rhythm.”
Carry on like this and it might prove difficult to keep their defensive unit together. Huijsen, a bargain £12.8m signing from Juventus, is sure to attract interest. Kerkez is a reported target for Liverpool.
But don’t expect Iraola to change tack. In fact, in Kerkez’s case, he may already have a successor in place in Julio Soler, the 19-year-old signed from Argentine club Lanus earlier this month. Bournemouth and their head coach continue to do things their own way.
Player Radar: Who else to keep an eye on
Kevin Schade continues to quietly impress for Brentford. The 23-year-old has scored six goals at an average of 0.50 per 90 minutes this season, putting him level with Wolves’ Matheus Cunha and not far behind his team-mate Bryan Mbeumo on 0.61. Spurs beware.

Arsenal vs Manchester City live updates: Havertz goal makes it 4-1 in Premier League rout of the champions
64′ Arsenal 3-1 Manchester City
City look shell-shocked after conceding that sloppy goal seconds after going level, and they are punished!
Lewis-Skelly, just 18 years old and from Islington in north London, not far from here at all, receives the ball outside the box with his back to goal.
He turns, dribbles forward, looks like he’s going to shoot with his left foot but instead cuts back onto his right and lashes it towards the bottom-right corner.
Goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, who has been seriously dodgy today, gets a big hand to it but can only deflect it upwards into the top corner. He should probably do better, but Lewis-Skelly and Arsenal won’t care!
The young man then runs to the corner and does the ‘meditation’ pose made famous by Erling Haaland. Wonder what Haaland is thinking right about now…
Lewis-Skelly with a beaming smile that would light up the whole pitch in the January evening darkness. No floodlights needed!

Guardiola praises Haaland’s self-control as City prepare for next Arsenal face-off | Erling Haaland
Pep Guardiola has lauded Erling Haaland for showing self-control despite his rough treatment from Premier League defenders doing whatever they can to stop the Manchester City striker.
One of the few times Haaland’s discipline has lapsed was in the reverse fixture against Sunday’s opponents, Arsenal, earlier this season, when he was involved in a match-long physical battle with the centre-backs Gabriel Magalhães and William Saliba. When John Stones scored a 97th-minute equaliser for City, Haaland threw the ball at the back of the Brazilian’s head while celebrating. That sparked a heated confrontation before the striker told the Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, to “stay humble” after the final whistle.
“The game was emotional for Erling and it’s not easy when you have 90 minutes and you know Gabriel and the central defenders push him and hug him and hug him and kiss him, and these kinds of things,” Guardiola said. “He had to react. Arsenal are a physical team – in a good way in many aspects – and at the end what happened through the emotions happened. So it’s done.”
Haaland has an impressive disciplinary record, collecting only two bookings in 32 appearances for City this season. “I’m surprised how he can control his emotions because with every action he’s pulled and he’s pulled and the referee is always ‘play on’,” Guardiola said. “How many times does it happen? And always he never complains, he controls himself so talking of a reaction on one day is not real. It’s not about what Erling does [did] for one day. He behaves incredibly well.
“He stands up, he knows it’s going to happen, the Premier League is that way. You have to stand up and continue, continue, continue and defend your position. It’s always what he has done. So for one day am I going to adjudicate on what he’s done? Come on, I don’t buy it.”

City have made three signings in January but Guardiola doubts they will be able to find someone to fill Rodri’s void before the transfer window closes on Monday night. The Spanish midfielder suffered a cruciate ligament injury against Arsenal in September and City have suffered without him.
Reports in Spain suggested Guardiola had spoken to Sergio Busquets about moving to England from Inter Miami, an idea the City head coach refutes. “He is so happy in Miami,” Guardiola said. “The weather there is so delightful. I spoke to Sergio, not for that issue.”
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on striker Erling Haaland for his remarkable self-control on the field, as the team gears up for their next face-off against Arsenal.Guardiola commended Haaland for his composure and maturity during high-pressure situations, highlighting his ability to stay focused and deliver consistent performances. The manager also lauded the young striker’s work ethic and dedication to improving his game.
As City prepare to take on Arsenal in their upcoming match, Guardiola expressed confidence in Haaland’s ability to make a significant impact on the game. The team is looking to secure another victory and maintain their strong position in the league standings.
Haaland, who has been in sensational form this season, will undoubtedly be a key player for City as they aim to continue their winning streak. Fans can expect an exciting clash between two top teams, with Haaland poised to showcase his talent once again.
Stay tuned for more updates on City’s preparations for the upcoming match against Arsenal and Haaland’s impressive performances on the field.

Odegaard on Nwaneri and “special” City games | News
Before every game at Emirates Stadium, Martin Odegaard lifts the lid on the mood in the camp via his captain’s notes published in the matchday programme.
Ahead of today’s huge clash with Manchester City, he writes about our impressive Champions League campaign, Ethan Nwaneri’s growth throughout the season and the rivalry between ourselves and the reigning champions. Here is a snippet:
We were really pleased with how we finished off in the Champions League on Wednesday night, with another very good win. I think during the league phase overall we were very solid throughout the whole programme.
We went into it wanting to finish in the top eight, but of course you don’t really know how many points you will need because it was completely new for everyone. So our approach was just to go into every game looking to win. We managed to finish third, winning six out of our eight matches and qualify directly into the round of 16, so that’s brilliant for us.
It was a really good night for Ethan, he had another great performance. I’ve said before that we don’t look at him as an emerging talent, we just see him as a great player. That says it all really for someone who’s 17. He’s just a natural part of our squad and the team, and you can see the talent he brings. It was another great goal from him, we’re all really pleased for him.
Everyone can see what he can do with the ball, his touch and technique, but he’s also really physical. He’s not the biggest guy, but he’s strong, so powerful and can run with the ball. He takes on players and has the power in his body to beat them. Then there’s his finishing – he has a great strike with his left foot.
Today we face Manchester City, which is always one of the biggest games of the season. It maybe feels a bit different to what we would have been expecting a few months ago. It’s been strange to be fair, we’re not used to seeing them losing games and dropping points but it’s proof of how tough this league is, how difficult every game is and how you have to be so switched on for every single moment.
But everyone knows the quality in their team, and how tough the game will be. It’s another battle for us, and with the history between us over the past couple of years, it’s a special game. Let’s be up for it, and be ready for hopefully a big night at home.
At this stage of the season, coming into the last few months, the games are bigger and there is more to play for. The stakes are high, and we have to make things happen. We can do that together, by creating a great atmosphere inside the stadium again today, and embracing it together. Enjoy the game.

Real Madrid’s young star Martin Odegaard has heaped praise on his teammate Chidi Nwaneri, describing him as a “special” player with immense talent and potential. In a recent interview, Odegaard highlighted Nwaneri’s technical ability, vision, and composure on the ball, suggesting that he has the potential to become a key player for the Spanish giants in the future.Odegaard also spoke about the upcoming clash against Manchester City in the Champions League, describing it as a “special” game that he is looking forward to. The Norwegian midfielder expressed his excitement at facing a top team like City and relished the opportunity to test himself against some of the best players in the world.
As Real Madrid prepare for their crucial Champions League tie against City, Odegaard’s praise for Nwaneri and his anticipation for the game only adds to the excitement surrounding the match. With both players in fine form, fans can expect a thrilling encounter between two talented teams vying for a spot in the next round of the competition.

#Odegaard #Nwaneri #special #City #games #NewsArsenal v Man City: Rivals face each for first time since Erling Haaland’s ‘stay humble’ comment
At his pre-match news conference, Guardiola defended Haaland for his “stay humble” comment.
The words have been used against the Norwegian in the months since as rival fans, revelling in City’s troubled campaign, have turned the focus back on him.
Having seen what Haaland has to put up with on a weekly basis in the Premier League, Guardiola is surprised the 24-year-old doesn’t lose his cool more often.
“For Erling it’s not easy,” said Guardiola. “Arsenal is a physical team, in a good way, in many aspects.
“For 90 minutes, the central defender, Gabriel, push him, hack him, hug him and kiss him. The Premier League is that way.
“You have to stand up and defend your position. And now I am being asked to adjudicate on what Erling has done? I don’t buy it.
“The end of the game was so emotional. In the end, a human being has to react.”
Haaland’s disciplinary record is remarkable.
The Norwegian has never been sent off as a City player and has been booked just three times in his past 54 Premier League appearances.
“I’m surprised how he controls his emotions” Guardiola said. “In every action, he’s being pulled and the referee plays on.
“How many times does it happen? And he never complains. He behaves incredibly well.”

Champions League: Omar Marmoush spielt gegen Brügge nicht! Manchester City in Not | Fußball

Pep werkelt an Citys Zukunft
