NFL News: Lamar Jackson star Ravens teammate claims Josh Allen, Bills were ‘robbed’ against Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills made a statement by defeating Lamar Jackson‘s Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round of the 2025 NFL playoffs. But once again, they failed to get past Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Only three points separated Allen and company from Super Bowl LIX, though some feel that the result would’ve been different had the referees granted a critical first down to the Bills early in the fourth quarter.
One of Jackson’s best teammates, for instance, went as far as suggesting that Buffalo was ‘robbed’ on that play. We’re talking about Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who shared his thoughts on social media.
“They lowkey did rob the Bills from the 4th down conversion. Josh definitely crossed the line,” Humphrey wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), in reference to a quarterback sneak by Allen that turned the ball over to the Chiefs on downs.

The call that affected Allen, Bills against the Chiefs
The play in question took place with 13:01 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Bills, leading 22-21 in the game, faced a fourth-and-one situation at Kansas City’s 41-yard line. Sean McDermott decided to keep the offensive unit on the field to try and get the first down with Allen’s legs.

As the Chiefs defense stopped Allen near the line of scrimmage, the refs considered that the Bills quarterback fell short of yards. After watching a replay, even though the images still looked unclear, the NFL officiating crew stood by its original decision.
It’s safe to say it may have been a game-changing moment, as Mahomes went on to score a rushing touchdown in the following drive, putting the Chiefs in front by 29-22 after a successful two-point conversion pass.
Allen orchestrated a nine-play, 70-yard touchdown drive in the Bills’ next possession to tie the score, but Kansas City responded with the field goal that ended up making the difference at Arrowhead.
McDermott believes Allen got the first down in Kansas City
Speaking to reporters after his team’s loss, McDermott let everyone know that, even though he wasn’t sure about which angles were used in the replay, he thought that Allen got the first down.

“I thought he had it. Just short of the line was actually the first down, what it looked like to me when it was sitting next to me with the marker, just inside that white stripe was the first down and it looked like he got to it. That’s all I can say,” McDermott stated.
For many, this call will go down as a big “what if” in the Bills’ season. Either way, it would be unfair to take credit away from the Chiefs. At the end of the day, Mahomes is still unbeaten against Allen in four playoff games. And now he’s chasing a third consecutive Super Bowl win.
In a recent interview, star Baltimore Ravens teammate of Lamar Jackson, Marlon Humphrey, expressed his belief that the Buffalo Bills were “robbed” in their AFC Championship game against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Humphrey, who is known for his outspoken nature, did not hold back in his assessment of the controversial calls made during the game. Many fans and analysts have pointed to a crucial pass interference call that was not called on a crucial fourth down play late in the game as a key moment that could have changed the outcome. Humphrey echoed these sentiments, stating that he believes the Bills were unfairly disadvantaged by the officiating.
Despite the controversy surrounding the game, the Chiefs emerged victorious and advanced to the Super Bowl, where they will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bills, on the other hand, will have to regroup and look towards next season.
As the NFL offseason approaches, it will be interesting to see how the league addresses issues of officiating and fairness in games. In the meantime, fans can expect more drama and excitement as the Super Bowl approaches.

What Trump said about the DC plane crash and his claims about DEI
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — President Donald Trump began his White House briefing Thursday with a moment of silence and a prayer for victims of Wednesday’s crash at Reagan National Airport. But his remarks quickly became a diatribe against diversity hiring and his allegation — so far without evidence — that lowered standards were to blame for the crash.
Trump on Thursday variously pointed the finger at the helicopter’s pilot, air traffic control, his predecessor, Joe Biden, and other Democrats including former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, whom he labeled a “disaster.” Buttigieg responded by calling Trump “despicable.”
The cause of the crash is still unknown. Authorities are investigating and have not publicly identified the cause or said who might have been responsible for the collision of an American Airlines plane and a U.S. Army helicopter.
Reporters on Thursday challenged Trump’s claims. Here’s a look at how Trump responded to some of their questions.
As the nation reeled from the deadliest American aviation disaster in more than two decades, President Donald Trump on Thursday baselessly blamed diversity initiatives for undermining air safety. (AP Video: Mike Pesoli)
Placing blame on diversity hiring
Trump was asked repeatedly to explain why he was blaming federal diversity and inclusion promotion efforts for the crash, at one point alleging that previous leadership had determined that the Federal Aviation Administration workforce was “too white.” He did not back up those claims, while also declaring it was still not clear the FAA or air traffic controllers were responsible for the crash.
Q: “Are you saying this crash was somehow caused as the result of diversity hiring? And what evidence have you seen to support these claims?”
TRUMP: “It just could have been. We have a high standard. We’ve had a much higher standard than anybody else. And there are things where you have to go by brainpower. You have to go by psychological quality, and psychological quality is a very important element of it. These are various, very powerful tests that we put to use. And they were terminated by Biden. And Biden went by a standard that seeks the exact opposite. So we don’t know. But we do know that you had two planes at the same level. You had a helicopter and a plane. That shouldn’t have happened. And, we’ll see. We’re going to look into that, and we’re going to see. But certainly for an air traffic controller, we want the brightest, the smartest, the sharpest. We want somebody that’s psychologically superior. And that’s what we’re going to have.”
__
Q: “You have today blamed the diversity elements but then told us that you weren’t sure that the controllers made any mistake. You then said perhaps the helicopter pilots were the ones who made the mistake.”
TRUMP: “It’s all under investigation.”
Q: “I understand that. That’s why I’m trying to figure out how you can come to the conclusion right now that diversity had something to do with this crash.”
TRUMP: “Because I have common sense. OK? And unfortunately, a lot of people don’t. We want brilliant people doing this. This is a major chess game at the highest level. When you have 60 planes coming in during a short period of time, and they’re all coming in different directions, and you’re dealing with very high-level computer, computer work and very complex computers.”
__
Trump was challenged on his claim that the FAA under Democratic presidents had promoted the hiring of people with disabilities. The page Trump referenced has existed on the FAA’s website for a decade, including his first term.
Q: “The implication that this policy is new or that it stems from efforts that began under President Biden or the transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg, is demonstrably false. It’s been on the FAA’s website —”
TRUMP: “Who said that, you?”
Q: “No, it’s on the website, the FAA’s website. It was there from 2013 … it was there for the entirety, it was there for the entirety of your administration, too. So my question is, why didn’t you change the policy during your first administration?”
TRUMP: “I did change it. I changed the Obama policy, and we had a very good policy. And then Biden came in and he changed it. And then when I came in two days, three days ago, I signed a new order, bringing it to the highest level of intelligence.”
Calling for fast confirmations
Trump agreed it was helpful to have Sean Duffy, his new transportation secretary, sworn and ready to respond when the major crisis hit.
Q: “Is it helpful to have your secretary of transportation confirmed and does this intensify your interest in getting other nominees confirmed quickly as well?”
TRUMP: “For sure, we want fast confirmations. And the Democrats, as you know, are doing everything they can to delay. They’ve taken too long. We’re struggling to get very good people that everybody knows are going to be confirmed. But we’re struggling to get them out faster. We want them out faster.”
Reassuring people it is safe to fly
Trump was asked if Americans should feel safe to fly after the crash.
According to the FAA, Trump is expected to fly to Palm Beach, Florida, where his Mar-a-Lago club is located, for the weekend on Friday.
Trump took another opportunity to criticize diversity hiring efforts for the crash as he wrapped up the news briefing.
Q: “Should people be hesitant to fly right now?”
TRUMP: “No. Not at all. I would not hesitate to fly. This is something that it’s been many years that something like this has happened, and the collision is just something that, we don’t expect ever to happen again. We are going to have the highest-level people. We’ve already hired some of the people that you already hired for that position long before we knew about this. I mean, long before, from the time I came in, we started going out and getting the best people because I said ‘It’s not appropriate what they’re doing.’ I think it’s a tremendous mistake. You know? They like to do things, and they like to take them too far. And this is sometimes what ends up happening.
“Now with that, I’m not blaming the controller. I’m saying there are things that you could question, like the height of the helicopter, the height of the plane being at the same level and going the opposite direction. That’s not a positive. But, no, we’re already hiring people.
“Flying is very safe. We have the safest flying anywhere in the world, and we’ll keep it that way.”

Associated Press writer Jill Colvin in New York contributed to this report.
In the wake of the tragic plane crash in Washington DC, former President Donald Trump has made controversial statements about the incident and his views on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).During a recent interview, Trump suggested that the plane crash was caused by the lack of diversity among the pilots and air traffic controllers involved in the flight. He claimed that “political correctness” and efforts to promote DEI in the aviation industry have led to a decrease in competency and qualifications among aviation professionals.
Trump’s remarks have sparked outrage and criticism from aviation experts and advocates for DEI, who argue that diversity in the industry is essential for ensuring safety and efficiency. They point to research showing that diverse teams are more innovative and perform better in high-pressure situations.
Critics have also accused Trump of using the tragedy to push his anti-DEI agenda and stoke division among Americans. They argue that his comments are not only insensitive to the victims and their families but also dangerous in perpetuating harmful stereotypes and undermining efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable society.
As the debate continues to unfold, it is clear that Trump’s remarks have reignited discussions about the importance of DEI in all industries, including aviation, and the need for leaders to promote unity and understanding rather than division and discrimination.

In a year where Diddy was public enemy No. 1 for his allegations, lawsuits, and eventual arrest, JAY-Z also found himself in the mix via a rape lawsuit filed in December 2024. The 55-year-old rapper has been hellbent on tearing down Tony Buzbee’s, the lawyer representing his alleged victim, credibility and he continued that this week.
Earlier in January, Hov attempted to get his case dismissed and he recently filed a memo to add some more details. HipHopDX obtained documents where the Brooklyn rapper and his attorney Alex Spiro claimed that Buzbee “got basic facts wrong” in the case.
Specifically, they say that the unnamed victim’s father confirmed that he had no recollection of the rape story playing out how she told it; Jane Doe originally said her father picked her up from a gas station, but he said the gas station in question would have been a 10-hour drive roundtrip. They also cited how she claimed she spoke with a celebrity that evening at the 2000 Video Music Awards, but said celebrity was not even in New York City at the time.
“Mr. Carter seeks only to hold Mr. Buzbee to the ethical standards that constrain any responsible attorney who would solemnly sign his name to allegations in court,” Alex Spiro wrote. He is arguing that Tony Buzbee should be held liable for either not doing his due diligence, or having proper information and still going through with a false claim.
Buzbee, however, claims that he ran a background check on Jane Doe and collaborated with a retired police detective to do thorough research on her. However, Spiro countered and said these claims were not enough. “[N]one of those individuals has even been named, let alone produced as a declarant,” he wrote. “Nor does the Opposition specify which ‘aspects’ of Plaintiff’s complaint were ‘fact-checked.’”
Buzbee remains confident in the case, telling HipHopDX: “With every frantic filing the defense in this case grows more desperate. The rules apply equally to everyone, even those who wrongly think they are above the law. No one is above the law. The ‘basic fact’ that is obvious to everyone is that the defendant’s motion is frivolous.”
JAY-Z was accused of raping a teenager alongside Diddy in 2000. She allegedly was transported to one of the Bad Boy founder’s after-parties by one of his limo drivers following the 2000 VMAs. Upon arrival, she signed what she believed to be an NDA and then allegedly had her drink spiked. She claims that the rappers then entered the room and Hov pinned her down and had sex with her while Puff and another celebrity watched.

In a recent turn of events, JAY-Z has fired back at Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the women accusing him of sexual assault, claiming that Buzbee has “got basic facts wrong” in his lawsuit against the rapper. In a statement released by JAY-Z’s legal team, they refuted Buzbee’s claims and stated that they are confident in their client’s innocence. The statement also accused Buzbee of using the lawsuit as a means of gaining publicity and tarnishing JAY-Z’s reputation.
This latest retaliatory attack comes after Buzbee filed a lawsuit on behalf of multiple women who allege that JAY-Z sexually assaulted them. The lawsuit has garnered significant media attention and has raised questions about the rapper’s behavior.
It remains to be seen how this legal battle will unfold, but one thing is for certain: JAY-Z is not backing down without a fight. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

Florida clears basketball coach Todd Golden of Title IX violation regarding sexual harassment, stalking claims, citing ‘no evidence’
Florida cleared head coach Todd Golden in a now-closed Title IX investigation. (Photo by Isaiah Vazquez/Getty Images) The University of Florida on Monday cleared basketball coach Todd Golden of a Title IX complaint that included allegations of sexual harassment and stalking of multiple women, including Florida students.
In a statement, Florida announced that it was closing the investigation after finding “no evidence” of a Title IX violation.
“The University of Florida takes these matters seriously and works deliberately to ensure that due process is upheld for everyone,” Florida’s statement reads. “After a thorough investigation that included dozens of interviews over the past months, the University of Florida has found no evidence that Todd Golden violated Title IX. The Title IX office has closed its investigation.”
Golden also released a statement addressing the decision and thanking Florida’s University Athletic Association for its support.
“The last several months have been a challenge for my family and me while this process dragged on,” Golden’s statement reads. “We asked for the public to allow the process to work through to its conclusion and not rush to judgment based on allegations. The UAA and so many at the university have been tremendously supportive — my family and I are extremely grateful.
“And thank you to our fans for your incredible support for our players and our program. It has made a huge difference.”
What Golden was accused of
The complaints against Golden were first reported in November by Florida’s student newspaper, The Independent Florida Alligator. Per the complaints, Golden was accused of making unwanted sexual advances on social media and taking photos of women who were walking or driving and sending them to those women.
Golden was also accused of sending photos and videos of his genitalia and showing up to locations of where he knew that the women he was accused of stalking would be.
Golden, 39, has continued to coach the program throughout the investigation. Following a Nov. 11 win over Grambling, Florida’s first game since the allegations were reported, Golden asked the public to “let the process take place.”
“Obviously in this situation, due process, and to continue to support our guys and I would just hope that they would let the process take place and see where it ends up,” Golden said in his postgame news conference.
Golden’s attorney criticizes ‘meritless’ claim
On Monday, Golden’s attorney, William Sheppard released a statement criticizing the complaint as “meritless.”
“Coach Golden and I have respected the process throughout while actively engaging with the university,” Sheppard’s statement reads. “However, there were many who did not respect the investigative process. Instead, they sought to target Coach Golden and drive their agenda and this investigation for their own self-interest.
“Some leaked confidential material to the media; falsely posed as a UF lawyer in an effort to intimidate; harassed UF students and parents to try to generate a false narrative; and harassed my client, his family, and his friends.”
A separate Title IX investigation involving a sexual assault allegation against Florida assistant coach Taurean Green remains open. Green, a former Florida player who won NCAA championships with the program in 2006 and 2007, is accused of kissing a female athletic department employee and putting his hand down her pants, per a complaint reported by ESPN in January.
Green has not addressed the allegation publicly and continues to coach. Golden was critical of the process’ lack of confidentiality when he announced that Green would continue to coach in January.
“So as frustrating and as disappointing and as hard as it is to do, I am going to do what I think I need to do and continue to respect the process, as I have.”
Florida is off to an 18-2 start and ranked No. 5 in the nation. Golden is in his third year as the program’s head coach after previously coaching at the University of San Francisco.
In a recent development, the University of Florida has officially cleared basketball coach Todd Golden of any Title IX violation regarding claims of sexual harassment and stalking. The university conducted a thorough investigation into the allegations and found no evidence to support the claims made against Golden. This news comes as a relief to both Golden and the university community, who have been eagerly awaiting the outcome of the investigation. The university’s decision to clear Golden of any wrongdoing is a testament to his character and integrity as a coach and a leader.
Golden has expressed his gratitude for the university’s support throughout the investigation and is looking forward to continuing his role as the head basketball coach. He remains focused on leading his team to success on and off the court.
The university’s swift and thorough investigation serves as a reminder of the importance of due process and the need for all claims of misconduct to be thoroughly investigated. It also highlights the university’s commitment to upholding a safe and respectful environment for all members of the community.
As the basketball season continues, Golden and his team can now focus on their goals without the cloud of these allegations hanging over them. The university community stands behind Golden as he moves forward from this challenging chapter.

A transgender military pilot posted a “proof of life” video Friday to refute rumors spread on social media that she was flying the helicopter that collided with a commercial jet near Reagan National Airport on Wednesday night, killing 67 people.
“I understand some people have associated me with the crash in D.C., and that is false,” Jo Ellis, a Black Hawk pilot with the Virginia Army National Guard, said in the Facebook video. “It is insulting to the families to try to tie this to some sort of political agenda. They don’t deserve that. I don’t deserve this. And I hope that you all know that I am alive and well, and this should be sufficient for you all to end all the rumors.”
Several hours prior to posting the video, Ellis shared a screenshot on her Facebook account of an X post in which someone had shared two images of her and made the false claim that she was the Black Hawk pilot involved in the deadly crash.
Ellis did not immediately return a request for additional comment.
A Virginia National Guard spokesperson confirmed that Ellis, a chief warrant officer 2, is a currently serving soldier and that there were “no Virginia National Guard personnel on board the Black Hawk that collided with the jetliner Wednesday evening.”
At least two news websites, Santa Monica Observer, based in Santa Monica, California, and The Express Tribune, based in Pakistan, reported on the rumors, with the Observer reporting as fact that Ellis was on board the helicopter and questioning whether the crash “was intentional.” As of Friday afternoon, the Observer had updated its article but the Tribune had not.
Grok, an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by social media platform X, amplified the misinformation. X is owned by Elon Musk, who serves as the company’s chairman and chief technology officer.
“A military helicopter crash involving a transgender pilot named Jo Ellis has sparked significant discussion on X, particularly after the incident where the helicopter collided with an American Airlines flight, resulting in 66 fatalities,” Grok’s summary stated if X users searched Ellis’ name, according to screenshots by multiple X users.
As of Friday afternoon, Grok corrected its summary of Ellis. And if a user asks the AI chatbot who the Black Hawk pilots were that were involved in the deadly crash, it now correctly names two of the three involved.
X did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding Grok AI’s claims about Ellis.
This week, Ellis wrote an op-ed about her life as a transgender service member and appeared on The Smerconish Podcast, where she said President Donald Trump’s executive order barring trans people from serving and enlisting in the military makes her nervous.
“I don’t really want to have to deal with all of the headlines and everything going on about my service,” she said. “I want to keep my head down, serve, serve honorably and then eventually retire, maybe another 15, 20 years, or however long my my body lets me fly that helicopter.”
She added, “In a time when it’s hard enough to meet recruiting numbers in the military, why would you want to, you know, kick out more soldiers that are willing to sacrifice their life for this country?”
Trans people have increasingly been falsely blamed for tragedies and violence in recent years, particularly after mass shootings. In March 2022, a trans woman living in Georgia said she faced harassment and threats after her photo was shared online alongside false claims that she was the shooter who killed 19 children and two adults at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. The shooter was killed on the scene by police.
Similar false or unconfirmed claims spread after at least four shootings in the last two years — in Nashville, Tennessee; Philadelphia; Madison, Wisconsin; and Des Moines, Iowa — that the shooters’ were transgender or LGBTQ and that their identities had something to do with the crimes.
These online rumors following violence and tragedies have spiked alongside an increasingly hostile state and federal legislative climate for trans rights. In the last few years, dozens of states have passed laws that restrict transition-related care and school sports participation for trans youth and limit access to restrooms and identity documents for trans people of all ages.
In addition to his executive order barring trans people from the military, Trump has signed executive orders declaring that the United States will only recognize two sexes, male and female, and ending diversity, equity and inclusion programs inside federal agencies. He also signed an order directing agencies to prohibit federal funding for schools promoting “gender ideology and discriminatory equity ideology” and another that aims to restrict access to transition-related care for minors nationwide.
At a news conference Thursday, Trump implied that DEI programs could have caused the deadly crash over the Potomac, though the investigation had only just begun.
Trans pilot Jo Ellis is setting the record straight after false claims surfaced online alleging she was the pilot of the helicopter involved in the recent D.C. plane crash. In a ‘proof of life’ video shared on social media, Ellis can be seen clearly stating that she was not involved in the tragic incident. The video, which has since gone viral, shows Ellis confidently addressing the rumors and affirming her commitment to safe and responsible flying practices. “I want to make it clear that I was not the pilot of the helicopter that crashed in D.C.,” Ellis says in the video. “I take my responsibilities as a pilot very seriously and would never put myself or others in harm’s way.”
Despite the false claims circulating online, Ellis remains determined to continue pursuing her passion for aviation and breaking down barriers in the industry as a transgender pilot. “I will not let these baseless accusations deter me from my goals,” she asserts in the video. “I am proud to be a trans pilot and will continue to fly with integrity and professionalism.”
As the aviation community rallies behind Jo Ellis in support, it is clear that her resilience and determination are unwavering in the face of adversity. Her ‘proof of life’ video serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of verifying information before spreading false claims, especially when it comes to matters of public safety.

AMD also tested three other LLM configurations against the RTX 4090. The RX 7900 XTX outperformed the RX 4090 in two of the three configurations — it was 11% faster using Distill Llama 8B and 2% faster using Distill Qwen 14B. The RX 4090 was 4% faster than the RX 7900 XTX in one configuration, using Distill Qwen 32B.

AMD tested three configurations against the RTX 4080 Super. The RX 7900 XTX outperformed the RTX 4080 Super by 34% using DeepSeek R1 Distill Qwen 7B. This lead dropped to 27% using Distill Llama 8B, and 22% using Distill Qwen 14B.
This should all be taken with a pinch of salt, of course, as we can’t be sure how the Nvidia GPUs were configured for the tests (which, again, were run by AMD). Not all AI workloads take advantage of a GPU’s full computational throughput. We saw this in our Stable Diffusion tests, where Stable Diffusion did not use FP8 calculations or TensorRT code for processing.
It’s not common for the RX 7900 XTX to be used as a dedicated AI processor, but the architecture is more than capable of processing AI workloads. The RDNA 3 architecture the RX 7900 XTX is based on is capable of matrix operations, supporting BF16 and INT8. AMD officially added the “AI Accelerator” terminology to RDNA 3 to demonstrate its AI-processing prowess. The RX 7900 XTX features 192 AI accelerators.
AMD recently published a tutorial on how its customers can get DeepSeek R1 to run on compatible AMD consumer-based hardware, including the RX 7900 XTX. DeepSeek R1 is a new AI model that offers performance comparable to Western leading-edge AI models, but at a fraction of the computing cost. DeepSeek R1 uses an assortment of hardware-based optimizations to make its model run 11X faster than its competitors, including using Nvidia’s assembly-like PTX programming language.
AMD has made a bold claim with their latest announcement, stating that their upcoming RX 7900 XTX graphics card outperforms the NVIDIA RTX 4090 in DeepSeek benchmarks. The DeepSeek benchmark is known for its rigorous testing of graphics cards, pushing them to their limits to measure performance in demanding tasks.According to AMD, the RX 7900 XTX excelled in DeepSeek benchmarks, showcasing superior performance and efficiency compared to the RTX 4090. This news has sparked excitement among gamers and tech enthusiasts, as they eagerly await the official release of the RX 7900 XTX.
With AMD setting the bar high for their new graphics card, it will be interesting to see how NVIDIA responds and if they can match or surpass the performance of the RX 7900 XTX. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development in the world of graphics cards.

NBA star Terry Rozier under investigation over claims he took part in illegal gambling scheme
Federal prosecutors are looking into claims that veteran NBA guard Terry Rozier manipulated his performances as part of an illegal gambling scheme.
As reported by The Wall Street Journal, the inquiry just one part of a larger investigation into alleged match fixing in professional sports. The same probe has already resulted in a guilty plea and lifetime NBA ban for former Toronto Raptors forward Jontay Porter.
The 30-year-old Rozier has not been charged and it remains unclear if investigators have concluded that he helped gamblers in any way.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place on March 23, 2023, when Rozier was a member of the Charlotte Hornets. The former Louisville star currently plays for the Miami Heat, who declined comment when contacted by DailyMail.com and instead referred to a statement from the NBA.
‘In March 2023, the NBA was alerted to unusual betting activity related to Terry Rozier’s performance in a game between Charlotte and New Orleans,’ NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in the league statement. ‘The league conducted an investigation and did not find a violation of NBA rules. We are now aware of an investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York related to this matter and have been cooperating with that investigation.’
Rozier’s agent and spokespeople for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Earlier this month, federal investigators said Porter was texting with his alleged co-conspirators during games to hash out details of the gambling scheme that resulted in his lifetime suspension from the league.
Porter pleaded guilty in July to allegations he plotted with gamblers to impact betting outcomes in their favor: ‘I know what I did was wrong, unlawful, and I am deeply sorry.’
Echoing findings in an NBA investigation and allegations in an ongoing prosecution of other individuals, Porter acknowledged he agreed to withdraw early from games so that co-conspirators could win bets on his performance. He did it, he said, ‘to get out from under large gambling debts.’
Porter was scheduled to be sentenced in December, but that has now been pushed back to 2025. He had requested permission to travel abroad and play in Greece, but was denied by a federal judge in July.
Following the arrest of alleged co-conspirator Shane Hennen at the Las Vegas airport earlier this month, federal investigators claim to have in-game text messages between Porter and his alleged accomplices, according to The Athletic.
In a purported exchange from January 22, 2024, Porter tells his alleged co-conspirators: ‘I went back to the locker room to get eye checked on… [I don’t know] if imma play much more… I’m not starting second half.’
Porter then added: ‘But if it’s garbage time I will shoot a million shots.’
On January 26, he told a pair of accomplices he would remove himself from the game with an injury – information investigators say was shared with Hennen.

Porter allegedly texted Hennen directly on another occasion to go over a plan.
‘Hit unders for the big numbers,’ read the message, published by The Athletic. ‘I told [Co-Conspirator 2] no blocks no steals. I’m going to play first 2-3 minute stint off the bench then when I get subbed out tell them my eye killing me again.’
Hennen allegedly bet $3,700 through a proxy that Porter would fail to get at least five rebounds for the game.
Later, on March 20, Hennen had information that Porter would pull himself from the game again.
Hennen reportedly bet $2,400 on that occasion that Porter would fail to reach an over/under on points.
Porter would play just three minutes in that game, failing to score at all.
NBA star Terry Rozier is currently under investigation over claims that he took part in an illegal gambling scheme. The Boston Celtics point guard has been accused of participating in high-stakes gambling activities that may have violated league rules and regulations. The allegations against Rozier have sparked a major controversy in the basketball world, with many fans and analysts questioning the integrity of the game. The NBA has launched a thorough investigation into the matter, and Rozier could potentially face severe consequences if found guilty of any wrongdoing.
Although Rozier has not made any public statements regarding the allegations, his reputation and career are now at stake. As the investigation unfolds, the basketball community eagerly awaits the final verdict on this troubling situation. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

Royce Reed Claims Dwight Howard Was Intimate With Men “All The Time”
Dwight Howard and his ex-girlfriend, Royce Reed, have spent many years not seeing eye-to-eye in the public light. Now, Reed has added another layer to their tumultuous relationship while recently speaking on his sexual preferences with Cam Newton.
During an appearance on Newton’s Funky Fridays show (Jan. 24), the former Basketball Wives star claimed she had personally witnessed Howard engaging in intimate encounters with men “all the time.” She further alleged that the NBA icon frequently used psychedelic mushrooms before sexual encounters with men, in which she claimed she didn’t partake.
Her statements have reignited speculations surrounding Howard’s sexual orientation—a topic that has been the subject of discussion for years.
“Have you ever witnessed him being with another man in the bed?” Newton bluntly asked Reed at the 01:29:10 mark of the interview. “Yeah. All the time,” she quickly responded. “They took mushrooms together and then they were like in the bed moaning and touching themselves … but they say that’s an effect of taking mushrooms. I didn’t take them. I pretended to but I didn’t. I spit them right out.”
Reed explained that she had witnessed many of his sexual encounters with men during days-long “parties” he would throw in his home during quarantine. She also admitted that his children—including her son—would be present in the home, but “upstairs in their rooms with the nanny.”
Newton then put Reed in the hot seat, questioning her motherhood. “You were a part of that, too…” he quipped. In response, the 44-year-old explained, “Yes. It was quarantine. Everybody was chillin’ outside in their own yard. Everybody was probably puffin’. That was not a problem.” Newton interrupted her, adding, “I don’t think that was the problem. Yeah, substance is cool—you do whatever floats your boat, but keep the kids out of it.”
Further detailing how the sexual encounters would take place with the kids in the house, Reed explained, “When this would happen, it was like, late. So they [the children] were done for the night.” She also alleged that polygamist influencer Kevin Wesley was present at the “party” one night.
Howard was previously accused of sexual assault by Georgia man Stephen Harper, only for the accuser to drop his lawsuit after Howard’s attorneys alleged the man deleted text messages showing their encounter was consensual, The Associated Press reported back in August 2024.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Reed chronicled how her and Howard’s relationship became estranged—which she claimed has much to do with him being “manipulative” and “not caring” about his children.
In the past, the two have had issues regarding their co-parenting dynamic, whereas Howard has previously spoken about financially providing for all of his children—while Reed has suggested otherwise. Howard has also accused Reed of mismanaging funds designated for their son’s care.
Take a look at all Royce Reed had to say about her ex, Dwight Howard, above.
In a recent interview, Royce Reed, the mother of Dwight Howard’s child, made shocking claims about the NBA star’s intimate relationships with other men. Reed revealed that Howard was allegedly involved with men “all the time” during their relationship. These accusations have sparked controversy and debate among fans and critics alike. Many are questioning Howard’s sexuality and wondering how these revelations will impact his career and public image.
Howard has yet to respond to Reed’s claims, but the scandal has certainly put his personal life under intense scrutiny. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
