Season 2 of XO, Kitty is officially streaming on Netflix, and if you’ve already powered through all eight episodes, you’re probably dying to know what’s next — especially after that romantic cliffhanger in the finale. (Spoiler alert: If you haven’t finished Season 2 yet, proceed with caution.)
XO, Kitty is a spinoff of Netflix’s beloved rom-com trilogy To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, where fans were first introduced to Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart), Lara Jean’s younger sister who set the story in motion by mailing the love letters to her crushes. Kitty eventually learns that Simon isn’t a romantic interest of her mom’s, but he’s actually her mom’s cousin. Back in the day, Kitty’s grandmother left South Korea and moved to the U.S., cutting ties with her sister and leaving behind a whole branch of their family. Neither Kitty nor her mom knew they still had cousins in South Korea. Before her mom passed away, she and Simon were working to reunite their mothers. Now, Kitty is determined to finish what her mom started, with help from her older sister, Margot Song Covey, who returns in Season 2. (There’s also a brief cameo from To All the Boys hearttrob Peter Kavinsky.)
While Kitty got major answers about her family this season, her love life? Total chaos. Things with Min Ho went from sworn enemies to a slow-burn vibe, but not without some drama. Min Ho started dating Stella, which gave him and Kitty space to become friends. That is, until Kitty discovered Stella’s real name is Esther and she’s only at KISS to ruin Min Ho’s dad for humiliating her in a singing competition years ago.
As for Yuri, she’s pretty much off the table romantically. She and Kitty shared a kiss, but Yuri quickly shut it down, calling it a mistake and confessing she’s in love with Juliana. With Yuri out of the picture, it seemed like Kitty and Min Ho were finally about to get their moment in the Season 2 finale. But nope — fans were left hanging again, leaving everyone wondering what’s next in a potential third season.
Is There Going To Be An XO, Kitty Season 3?

Netflix hasn’t renewed XO, Kitty for a third season yet. Showrunner Jessica O’Toole hinted to Tudum that Kitty’s journey at KISS is far from over, especially with everything she learned about her extended family in Season 2.
“Yeah, she wants to come back,” O’Toole told the streamer. “And now that she knows she has a cousin, now that she’s got this great aunt, there you go. She’s got family there.” Principal Lee (Michael K. Lee) also renewed Kitty’s scholarship, so she’s all set to return to KISS next year if Netflix gives O’Toole the green light.
In 2023, during the Hollywood strikes, Netflix renewed XO, Kitty for a second season less than a month after its debut. Fans might have to wait a few weeks, or possibly even months, to find out if the show will return for a third season. The streamer will likely review viewership numbers in the coming weeks. (The good news? As of Jan. 17, XO, Kitty is the No. 1 show in the U.S.)

The third season of XO, Kitty will likely follow Kitty’s senior year at KISS. The core cast will presumably return for another installment, including Kitty, Dae, Yuri, Min Ho, Q, Juliana, Alex, Madison, Professor Lee, and newcomers Praveena and Jin. However, it’s unknown whether Stella (aka Esther) will return, considering she was sent back to Ohio.
Season 3 might finally give fans the Kitty and Min Ho love story fans been waiting for. In the finale, when Kitty is about to confess her feelings, Min Ho reveals he’s sworn off relationships after his misstep with Stella and is heading out on tour with his K-pop star brother for the summer. Kitty asks if she can tag along, but the episode ends before we hear Min Ho’s answer. What could happen during their summer together, if she even goes?
When it comes to Kitty and Yuri’s future on XO, Kitty, it seems that chapter is closed — at least for now. “I know so many people are rooting for them, and I love to see that,” Cathcart told Tudum. “I do think that storyline, at least for now, she’s kind of explored that.”
What Is The XO, Kitty Season 3 Release Date?

If XO, Kitty is renewed for a third season, fans may need to wait at least one to two years for new episodes, given the time required for writing, production, and post-production. This means Season 3 could arrive on Netflix sometime in late 2026 or early 2027.

90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 7 episode 18 came out on December 29. The episode, titled Before We Say Goodbye, highlighted Niles and Matilda’s wedding. It also saw glimpses of Josko’s visit to Vanja’s native Orlando, Florida.
After Vanja broke up with Bozo in Croatia, she linked up with Josko, while she was still in Croatia. The two bonded over similar values shared life goals and became a couple. After missing each other a little too much, Josko decided to come to Florida to see Vanja.
She revealed that Josko wanted to move to the US with his son, so she showed him around. But in the end, she said their fast-growing closeness was the reason she was surprised with what happened next. She then met up with a friend, hugged her, and cried about another heartbreak. This was where the episode ended without giving any other details about what went down between the two. Fans of 90 Day Fiancé came to X to react to her breakup being left on a cliffhanger.
“So why is Vanja stretching out this story like this. TELL US WHAT HAPPENED,” a fan said.
