Jazz vs Clippers Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game
With the Los Angeles Clippers defense not looking stellar as of late, the Utah Jazz hope to muster up some energy in a back-to-back through the life of standout rookie Isaiah Collier to get back on track after a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Photo By – Imagn Images. Utah Jazz guard Isaiah Collier (13) celebrates.
The Utah Jazz lost a heartbreaker in overtime to the Phoenix Suns on Friday night, and now this shorthanded team will have to turn around and face the Los Angeles Clippers just 24 hours later.
While they may come into this one with tired legs, I’ll explain in my Jazz vs. Clippers predictions why the Jazz are to be believed on the offensive end and should maintain a high level against a slumping Los Angeles defense.
Let’s dig into some NBA player props and hand out some NBA picks on Saturday, February 8.
Jazz vs Clippers prediction
My best bet
Jazz +16.5 (-110 at bet365)My analysis
Utah Jazz’s defense continues to look suspect, but their offense has turned into a fine-tuned machine with rookie Isaiah Collier beginning to blossom in a larger role. He’s now scored 15 or more in back-to-back games, adding 10 assists in each of his last three, as the team deals with injuries to both Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton in the backcourt. We’re not yet sure if we’ll see Clarkson in this one, but as Sexton continues to sit Collier’s impact should remain sizable. His ability to get the ball in low has worked wonders for a team which has ranked inside the top 11 in scoring at the rim and the short mid-range over the last two weeks, and as the Los Angeles Clippers counter with the sixth-worst rim defense over that span there’s a fair chance this team continues to score the ball even on no rest.
On the flip side, Utah’s weak interior defense shouldn’t be a massive liability here against a Clippers team which is just 15th in shooting accuracy at the rim and 23rd in the short mid-range in the last two weeks. Its top-10 3-point defense over that same span should remain strong with Clarkson – a defensive liability – sitting this one out, and the Clippers’ middling performance outside should only help matters.
Los Angeles does like to shoot inside, but it has struggled to get much done as of late, and with Walker Kessler now playing more minutes at center in wake of injuries to the frontcourt and the trade of Drew Eubanks, there’s a reasonable expectation that this defense can hold firm enough to allow this offense to continue cooking.
Jazz vs Clippers same-game parlay
We’ll kick things off with Isaiah Collier, who has seen a huge bump in Usage Rate lately and should devastate both as a scorer and distributor. Los Angeles has been weak defensively at the rim, and Collier has ranked right around the top 20% of all guards in shooting frequency in close. As he looks to feed this long frontcourt, too, he should once again flirt with a double-double against a Clippers team ranked just outside the top 10 in assists allowed per 100 possessions in the last two weeks.
Speaking of which, Norman Powell has been a machine over that span. He’s averaged 25.3 points in six games, and most notably has taken a whopping 17 shots per contest. The veteran is sitting pretty here as a guard who has taken – and made – a good deal of shots at the rim and in the short-mid range, going up against a frontcourt defense which has been brutal of late by the numbers and is still very thin without several players.

Both teams have been performing well this season, making this game a must-watch for basketball fans. The Jazz currently sit at the top of the Western Conference with an impressive record of 38-11. They have been on a hot streak lately, winning 9 of their last 10 games. Led by stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, the Jazz have one of the most potent offenses in the league and are known for their three-point shooting.
On the other hand, the Clippers are not far behind, sitting in the third spot in the Western Conference with a record of 34-18. Led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Clippers have been playing solid basketball and are coming off a big win against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Raptors have overcome an early deficit to take the lead back in this one. They have jumped out to a quick 36-32 lead against the Clippers.
The Raptors came into the matchup with some extra motivation after the defeat they were dealt the last time these two teams faced off. We’ll see if they’re able to flip the script or if it’ll just be more of the same.

What to Know
The Clippers are 8-2 against the Raptors since December of 2019, and they’ll have a chance to extend that success on Sunday. The Los Angeles Clippers will be staying on the road to face off against the Toronto Raptors at 3:30 p.m. ET at Scotiabank Arena. The Clippers will be strutting in after a win while the Raptors will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Last Friday, the Clippers earned a 112-104 victory over the Hornets.
Norman Powell was the offensive standout of the match as he went 11 for 15 en route to 27 points plus two steals. What’s more, he also racked up four assists, the most he’s had since back in December of 2024.
Meanwhile, the Raptors unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. The game between them and the Bulls wasn’t a total blowout, but with the Raptors falling 122-106 at home it was darn close to turning into one. Toronto didn’t live up to their potential and found themselves falling short of the advantage oddsmakers thought they had coming into the game.
Los Angeles has been performing well recently as they’ve won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 28-20 record this season. As for Toronto, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-33.
Going forward, the Clippers are the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 5.5 points. This contest will be their sixth straight as the favorites (so far over this stretch they are 3-2 against the spread).
The Clippers skirted past the Raptors 105-103 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Clippers since the team won’t have the home-court advantage this time around. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
Odds
Los Angeles is a solid 5.5-point favorite against Toronto, according to the latest NBA odds.
The oddsmakers had a good feel for the line for this one, as the game opened with the Clippers as a 6.5-point favorite.
The over/under is 220.5 points.

Our Raptors vs. Clippers predictions expect a big game from Scottie Barnes against L.A.’s big men.
With their form on an upward curve, the Toronto Raptors tip off their February schedule against the Los Angeles Clippers this afternoon at Scotiabank Arena.
That means a reunion with their NBA championship hero Kawhi Leonard, but my Clippers vs. Raptors predictions focus on Toronto’s current superstar talent and his strong recent play.
Check out my top NBA picks and storylines for this February 2 matinee.
Raptors vs Clippers prediction
My Raptors pick
Scottie Barnes Over 7.5 rebounds (-125 at PointsBet Canada)My analysis
Scottie Barnes was the engine for the Toronto Raptors’ impressive end to January, as they strung together five straight wins before Friday’s loss to the Bulls. Today’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers is going to come down to the athleticism of Barnes and R.J. Barrett against the wily experience of James Harden and Kawhi Leonard. All of the Scottie Barnes odds have value, but I’m targeting his rebounds prop. He’s averaging 8.1 rebounds per game this season, and he’s been especially active in his past seven outings, with almost nine boards a game over that span, including a 10-rebound effort against the Bulls. Consistency is the key for Barnes to take the next step, and the Raptors have to be thrilled with the recent signs.
Toronto lost the rebounding battle against Chicago, but I’m predicting a response today, particularly with the Clippers adjusting to an early East Coast start. Though Ivica Zubac and Derrick Jones Jr. will test the hosts’ discipline, I see Barnes answering the call alongside Jakob Poeltl.
Darko Rajakovic went with smaller lineups on Friday, with Chris Boucher and Kelly Olynyk not logging any minutes, and it could be the same story here to combat a wing-heavy L.A. team. Again, that puts the onus on Barnes to do the dirty work and clean the glass.
The Raptors’ franchise cornerstone has drawn praise lately for his locked-in defensive work, and there’s no reason why he can’t continue to be a nightly threat for double-digit boards.
Raptors vs Clippers same-game parlay
The city of L.A. is still digesting the blockbuster Luka Doncic trade, but the Clippers have looked comfortable padding their win total in the shadows all year. They’re 7-3 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games, and their 29-18-1 ATS mark this season speaks for itself.
The Clippers have a higher ceiling with Leonard back in action, and they’ve also won the last five meetings between these teams. The visitors eased to victory in the prior two games of this road trip, and I’m laying the points with the spread at a manageable 4.5, even with key scorer Norm Powell listed as questionable.
I’m also leaning into Harden’s ability to fill the box score. At slight plus-money odds, the Over 9.5 assists is an attractive play, and The Beard is coming off a fruitful January where he averaged 10 apg.
Harden has dished 10+ dimes in six of his last seven contests. Though he was held to seven assists in his last outing against Toronto, he’s going to have ample opportunities to find open shooters here — and Kawhi’s mere presence gives Harden more room to operate.

Raptors vs Clippers spread and Over/Under analysis
- The Clippers get the favorites tag despite a slight sub. 500 road mark this season, but they’ve won on four of their last five visits to Toronto.
- The Under is 7-3 in the past 10 meetings between these teams, and it’s 29-19 for L.A. overall this year.
- The Raptors enter on the heels of four straight Unders, but the Over has been a winning ticket in three of the Clippers’ past four games.
- The defenses were on top in the teams’ November matchup, which ended in a 105-103 Clippers victory.

Prediction
Clippers 112, Raptors 105
Moneyline
PASS.
The Clippers (-210) are rolling on their road trip which they wrap up in Toronto (+170) on Sunday. I think they cover which is why I’ll take my wager to the spread.
Against the spread
BET CLIPPERS -5.5 (-105).
Over/Under
BET UNDER 220.5 (-110).
The Under has hit in 3 of the last 4 meetings between the teams. Toronto has stayed Under in 4 straight and 5 of their last 6 games. Even though the Clippers have gone Over in 3 of their last 4 games, they’re one of the top defensive teams, giving up just 107 points per game (third-best in the league). The Raptors are only scoring 111 PPG, 21st in the NBA. With those trends, I’m liking the Under for Sunday.

The LA Clippers are set to take on the Toronto Raptors in an exciting matchup on Wednesday night. Both teams have been playing well recently, making this game a highly anticipated one.The odds for this game are currently in favor of the LA Clippers, with a spread of -3.5 points. The over/under is set at 215.5 points.
As for picks and predictions, the Clippers are coming off a strong win against the Lakers and seem to be hitting their stride. With star players like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George leading the way, the Clippers have the firepower to come out on top in this game.
On the other hand, the Raptors have been playing solid basketball as well, with Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam leading the charge. They will be looking to defend their home court and come away with a win against a tough Clippers team.
Overall, this game is shaping up to be a close one, but I am leaning towards the Clippers to cover the spread and come out with a victory. The over/under is a bit trickier to predict, but I would lean towards the over given the offensive firepower of both teams.
It should be a thrilling game between two talented teams, so be sure to tune in and see who comes out on top.

Clippers trade Tucker, Bamba to Jazz for Eubanks, Mills
The LA Clippers have traded forward P.J. Tucker, center Mo Bamba, a future second-round pick and cash to the Utah Jazz for forward Drew Eubanks and guard Patty Mills, the teams announced Saturday
Tucker did not play for the Clippers this season. He stepped away from the team in October, with the two sides reportedly in agreement to find him a different situation.
The move puts the Clippers $4 million below the luxury tax threshold, giving them more flexibility ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.
Tucker, 39, is in the final season of a three-year, $33 million deal he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2022 before being traded to the Clippers.
Bamba, the sixth overall pick in the 2018 draft, was averaging 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 28 games for the Clippers this season in a reserve role behind Ivica Zubac.
Mills, 36, signed with the Jazz in the offseason and is in his 16th season in the NBA. In 17 appearances this season, the veteran guard is averaging 4.4 points per game.
Eubanks, who turns 28 Saturday, signed a two-year deal with the Jazz in the offseason and was averaging 5.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 37 games for Utah. The Clippers will be his fifth NBA team since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2018.
Information from Field Level Media was used in this report.

Clippers reportedly trade P.J. Tucker and Mo Bamba to Jazz for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills
The Los Angeles Clippers are making moves ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, sending P.J. Tucker and Mo Bamba to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills, per ESPN. Utah also reportedly receives a future second-round pick and cash in the trade.
Bamba, 26, and Eubanks, 28, are a more direct part of the trade: The two centers have put up similar numbers for their respective teams this season. Bamba signed a one-year deal with the Clippers this offseason, while Eubanks signed a two-year contract in August that Los Angeles will pick up.
The other two players in the trade are veterans. Tucker, 39, signed a three-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2022, which the Clippers took on when the veteran forward was sent to Los Angeles in 2023 as part of the James Harden trade.
Mills, meanwhile, will be joining his fourth team in the past year. Mills was waived by the Atlanta Hawks last February, and signed with the Miami Heat by March; the 36-year-old guard then signed with the Jazz in September.
Per ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the trade puts the Clippers $4 million below the luxury tax, opening the team up for more flexibility ahead of the trade deadline. Tucker, Bamba and Mills are all on contracts that expire at the end of the season, while Eubanks will have one more year remaining on the deal.
In a surprising move, the Los Angeles Clippers have reportedly traded P.J. Tucker and Mo Bamba to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills. This trade shakes up both teams’ rosters and could have a significant impact on their playoff hopes. Tucker and Bamba bring defensive presence and versatility to the Jazz, while Eubanks and Mills add depth and shooting to the Clippers’ lineup.
It will be interesting to see how these new acquisitions fit in with their respective teams and how they perform in the postseason. Stay tuned for more updates on this blockbuster trade.

Report: P.J. Tucker, Mo Bamba, More Traded from Clippers to Jazz for Mills, Eubanks | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors

P.J. Tucker’s ill-fated time with the Los Angeles Clippers has come to a close.
The Clippers are trading the 39-year-old forward, who has yet to play this season, along with center Mo Bamba and a future second-round pick to the Utah Jazz for forward Drew Eubanks and guard Patty Mills, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The news doesn’t come as a surprise. Coming into the year, the Clippers announced that Tucker wouldn’t be with the team.
“P.J. is a pro who has achieved a lot in his career and there’s more he wants to accomplish,” the Clippers said in a statement on Oct. 6. “We will continue working with P.J. and his representative to find the best situation for him moving forward.”
It was unclear if that would eventually result in a buyout—Tucker is on a $11.5 million player option this season and will become a free agent in the summer—or a trade. Ultimately, the Clippers were able to move him via the trade route.
Bamba, meanwhile, has been used as a reserve in the frontcourt. He’s averaging 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per contest through 28 appearances.
Swapping Tucker and Bamba for Eubanks and Mills, both bench players in Utah, doesn’t improve the Clippers that much. The trade does, however, ease their financial burden slightly.
Tucker will also welcome the change of scenery.
A divorce felt inevitable after he wasn’t a big part of the rotation last season. He was traded to the Clippers as part of the James Harden deal and appeared in just 28 games (seven starts), averaging 1.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 15 minutes per game while shooting 36.7 percent from three.
Tucker publicly expressed a desire to be moved last season, which ultimately cost him a $75,000 fine.
“I want to be somewhere where I’m needed, wanted and can do it all,” Tucker said in those comments in February. “I don’t know what’s going to happen but I have my fingers crossed and I’m hoping to go somewhere else, whether I get bought out and choose where I go or where I can play.”
Tucker didn’t get his trade last year, but this season the Clippers were able to find a suitor in Utah.
As for what he offers at this point in his career, that’s up for debate. The power forward has traditionally been a rugged, multi-positional defender and glue guy who could hit enough spot-up threes to not completely tank his own team’s offense. But given his age and limited role at this point in his career, his $11.5 million salary is fairly steep.
Considering the Jazz own the Western Conference’s worst record (10-36), a buyout seems the likeliest outcome. They could prefer to keep Tucker’s expiring salary on the books to preserve a sizable cap hold for 2025-26.
In a blockbuster trade that sent shockwaves through the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to trade P.J. Tucker, Mo Bamba, and more to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Patty Mills and Drew Eubanks. The trade, which was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, is said to be a win-win for both teams. The Jazz are getting some much-needed defensive help in Tucker and a promising young center in Bamba, while the Clippers are adding some much-needed scoring punch with Mills and depth with Eubanks.
Tucker, known for his tenacious defense and veteran leadership, will be a valuable addition to the Jazz as they look to make a deep playoff run. Bamba, a former lottery pick, has shown flashes of potential and could benefit from a change of scenery in Utah.
On the other side, Mills will provide the Clippers with some much-needed shooting and playmaking off the bench, while Eubanks will add depth to their frontcourt rotation.
Fans of both teams are eagerly anticipating how this trade will impact their respective rosters and playoff aspirations. Stay tuned for more updates as the trade deadline approaches.
