Generation Beta is coming: Babies born in 2025 will experience a world like no other
As we approach the year 2025, a new generation of babies is set to be born, marking the beginning of what will be known as Generation Beta. Defined as those born between 2025 and 2039, this cohort of children will follow in the footsteps of Generation Alpha, the children born from around 2010 to 2024, and will grow up in an increasingly complex and interconnected world shaped by rapid technological advances and global challenges.
According to social researcher Mark McCrindle, who coined the term “Generation Alpha”, Generation Beta will face a future defined by rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, sustainability, and global population changes.
Who are Generation Beta?
Generation Beta will consist of children born from 2025 to 2039, making them the children of younger Gen Ys (Millennials) and older Gen Zs. By 2035, it is expected that they will make up 16% of the global population, a significant demographic that will influence future economies, cultures, and societies, as per McCrindle’s blog post.
One of the most notable characteristics of Generation Beta will be their longevity. With advances in healthcare and technology, many children born during this period are expected to live well into the 22nd century, potentially experiencing a life span much longer than previous generations.
A world of transformation and challenges
As these children grow, they will inherit a world grappling with numerous societal challenges. Climate change, global population shifts, and rapid urbanization will be pressing issues that influence their lives. Mark McCrindle emphasizes that sustainability will no longer be a choice but a necessity. For Generation Beta, environmental consciousness and a sustainable lifestyle will be ingrained from an early age, as they will be tasked with finding solutions to the pressing ecological concerns of the 21st century.
Technological advancements, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, will be a dominant force in their daily lives. According to McCrindle, by the time Generation Beta comes of age, these technologies will be fully embedded in education, workplaces, healthcare, and entertainment.
“Generation Beta will live in an era where AI and automation are fully embedded in everyday life—from education and workplaces to healthcare and entertainment,” he explained.
Who will make up Generation Beta?
Generation Beta will primarily consist of children born to younger Gen Ys (Millennials) and older Gen Zs. These parents, who are familiar with the digital age and the rise of social media, will raise their children in a vastly different world—one where artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and sustainability are key aspects of daily life.
While Millennials and Gen Z have witnessed and adapted to significant technological shifts, Generation Beta will be born into an even more interconnected, automated, and technologically advanced world. They are the first generation to experience the full impact of AI-driven technologies, shaping not only how they learn and work but also how they interact with the world around them.
A generation set for longevity
Many children born in this period are expected to live well into the 22nd century, thanks to advances in healthcare and longevity technologies. This remarkable life expectancy will present unique challenges and opportunities for the generation, as they will need to navigate not only the complexities of a rapidly changing world but also potentially extended lifespans.
Key characteristics of Generation Beta
Global Impact: By 2035, Generation Beta is expected to make up 16% of the world’s population, highlighting their significance on a global scale. Their decisions, values, and actions will shape economies, cultures, and industries worldwide.
Technological integration: Unlike previous generations, Generation Beta will be surrounded by artificial intelligence and automation from birth. These technologies will be fully integrated into their education systems, workplaces, healthcare, and entertainment. The influence of AI will be pervasive in their everyday lives, allowing them to adapt to a future where machine learning and automation are commonplace.
Sustainability focus: Generation Beta will inherit a world confronted by pressing issues such as climate change and resource depletion. The emphasis on sustainability will not just be a choice but a necessity. These challenges will define their approach to living, working, and consuming, with an expectation for greater environmental responsibility.

They will have access to technologies and innovations that today’s generations can only imagine, from smart cities to autonomous vehicles to next-generation virtual realities.
As the world continues to evolve, Generation Beta will be the key generation to harness the full potential of AI, machine learning, and blockchain technologies. They will grow up in an era where personalization and automation are a given in almost every aspect of life, from school to work to entertainment.

When Is ‘Squid Game’ Season 3 Coming Out? Everything To Know So Far

Squid Game is back and deadlier than ever. If you’ve reached the end of the latest season of the gripping South Korean drama, you’re probably eager to find out when Squid Game Season 3 will hit Netflix.
Season 2 sees the return of Season 1 champion Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), who re-enters the deadly competition years after winning the 45.6 billion won prize. This time, with the help of Detective Hwang Jun-ho, Player 456 is determined to bring down Squid Game and dismantle the operation led by the enigmatic Front Man, who takes an even more hands-on role in this season’s deadly challenges.
Following the Season 2 action-packed finale—filled with rebellions, shocking deaths, and countless twists—fans are already speculating how long they’ll have to wait for the final season to hit Netflix. Series director, writer, and executive producer Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed last summer that the third season will serve as the last of the series.
“I am beyond excited to be writing this letter to announce the date for Season 2 and share the news of Season 3, the final season,” he shared in a letter to fans. “The fierce clash between [Gi-hun and Front Man’s]
two worlds will continue into the series finale with Season 3, which will be brought to you next year.”Here’s everything you need to know (so far) about Squid Game Season 3, including its anticipated release timeline, the returning cast, and more.
When Is Squid Game Season 3 Coming Out?
Squid Game S2 Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun in Squid Game S2 Cr. No Ju-han/Netflix © 2024
Squid Game is set to return for its third and final season in 2025, though the exact release date has not yet been revealed. However, the show’s creator has hinted that an announcement is expected “soon,” as the third season has already been filmed.
“At this point, anything I might say is going to be a spoiler, so I want to be cautious,” Hwang told Variety. “But what I can say is, after season 2 launches, I believe we will be announcing the launch date for season 3 soon. I probably expect that to launch around summer or fall next year.”
If Season 3 premieres in the summer or fall, this timeline aligns with Emmy nomination schedules. According to Digital Trends, Netflix will likely submit Season 2 for the 2025 awards and may aim to submit Season 3 for the 2026 Emmys. This suggests the earliest Squid Game Season 3 could debut on Netflix is June 1, 2025, to qualify for the 2026 Emmys.
Warning: Spoilers ahead for Squid Game Season 2.
What Will Squid Game Season 3 Be About?
Squid Game S2 Lee Byung-hun as Front Man in Squid Game S2 Cr. No Ju-han/Netflix © 2024
The third season of Squid Game will continue the story after the violent rebellion in the Season 2 finale, which ultimately fails when the rebels exhaust their ammunition and are vastly outnumbered. However, the most shocking moment in the finale was the heartbreaking death of Gi-hun’s best friend from Season 1, Park Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan).
Hwang revealed that Jung-bae’s death was deliberately planned as the perfect way to conclude Season 2. “Audiences are definitely going to be shocked and very sad to see Jung-bae go,” the creator told Tudum. “He’s also the only person within the games that Gi-hun can trust and completely rely on.”
The Front Man, who disguised himself as Player 001 (aka Young-il) and formed a bond with Gi-hun and his group of allies, has “faked” his character’s death and returned to his role behind the signature black cloak and mask. By the end of Season 2, Gi-hun remains unaware of the betrayal. “I don’t think Gi-hun knows the truth yet” because his character is “blaming himself for everything that happened,” Jung-jae told Tudum.
At the end of Episode 7, a mid-credits scene confirms the games continue even after Gi-hun is captured. The mid-credits scene shows players entering the arena, which now includes two giant dolls and a new variation of “Red Light, Green Light.” Hwang teased that the third season will continue highlighting “the fierce clash between [Gi-hun and Front Man’s] two worlds.”
Which Characters Will Return In Squid Game Season 3?

Season 2 of Squid Game saw the loss of several important characters, especially during its brutal final episodes. As for which characters will return in Season 3, here’s a look at those who have survived so far (with a few already already confirmed in the mid-credits scene).
- Gi-hun (Player 456)
- Yong-sik (Player 007)
- Geum-ja (Player 149)

#Squid #Game #Season #ComingDivision Rival Coming for Vikings DC Brian Flores…?
One of the best things to happen, or not happen, last offseason was Brian Flores not receiving a head coaching offer. The Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator has been a significant difference maker for Kevin O’Connell.
Hiring him is complicated given the pending lawsuit against the league. That said, it’s impossible for owners to overlook just how talented of a coach he is. With new perspective since his time with the Miami Dolphins, it’s possible this is the cycle where he gets another shot.
Brian Flores could stay in the Minnesota Vikings division
There is no division in football that is better than the NFC North this season. Minnesota and Detroit both have 13 wins while the Green Bay Packers have 11. That leaves just the Chicago Bears in the doldrums, and they will be seeking new leadership this offseason. Insiders Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport believe Flores may fit the bill.
“But the Bears aren’t locked in on anything yet. They want someone who embodies the city of Chicago at a critical time for the franchise to set itself up for years to come. Other names to watch include: Mike Vrabel, Vikings DC Brian Flores and Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury, among many others.”
The Flores tie to Chicago isn’t new. It would be disappointing to lose such a strong coordinator, and an additional gut punch for the new team to be a division rival.
Chicago drafted quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He has had a shaky season but plays behind an offensive line that has had him take 67 sacks. Williams is to blame for plenty of those results. A new head coach has to shore up both sides of the ball.
Flores needs to make sure that his next destination is mutually beneficial. While there are only 32 head coaching jobs in the NFL, it doesn’t make sense for him to land in an unstable situation. Flores has a good thing going with the Vikings, and will ultimately have additional opportunities present themselves.
The Minnesota Vikings may soon have to face off against a familiar opponent within their own division, as reports have surfaced that former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores is being targeted as a potential defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers.Flores, who was recently fired by the Dolphins despite leading them to a winning record in his final season, is considered one of the top coaching candidates available and could be a valuable addition to the Packers’ coaching staff.
If Flores does indeed join the Packers, it would set up a fascinating matchup between him and the Vikings twice a year as division rivals. With his defensive acumen and proven track record of success, Flores could pose a significant challenge for the Vikings’ offense.
It remains to be seen whether Flores will ultimately land in Green Bay, but if he does, Vikings fans can expect some heated battles between their team and their division rival’s new defensive coordinator. Stay tuned for updates as the situation unfolds.

Teddy Bridgewater coming out of retirement to sign with Lions
Bridgewater brings plenty of experience to the Lions, the last team he was on before he decided to retire. A former first-round pick of the Vikings, the Louisville star spent three seasons over four years in Minnesota, a place he left only after suffering an incredibly significant knee injury that cost him all of the 2016 season and only allowed him to return late in the 2017 campaign, his last in Minnesota.
The seriousness of his injury and very long road back to the field relegated him to journeyman status over the next few years. From 2018-2022, Bridgewater made stops with the Jets, Saints, Panthers, Broncos and Dolphins before landing in Detroit in 2023.
Some might see Bridgewater’s signing as an indictment of second-year backup Hendon Hooker‘s viability as a legitimate option behind Jared Goff. Campbell downplayed that narrative Thursday.
“It doesn’t mean we’re disappointed in Hooker,” he said. “That’s not what this means. It just means this gives us a guy, somebody that’s played a lot in the NFL. We’re getting ready for the playoffs, so it’ll be good to get him back in the fold with us.”
The move is a wise one: If the Lions find themselves on the doorstep of the Super Bowl for a second straight season and happen to lose Goff to injury, they’ll at least have another well-seasoned player ready to replace him in Bridgewater. It would protect against a disastrous scenario in which Detroit would be forced to insert the inexperienced Hooker into a high-stakes situation with their season and highest ambitions on the line.
“He’s improved. He really has,” Campbell said of Hooker. “We feel like every week he’s gotten a little bit better, and this does not mean that Hooker is out. That’s not what this means. If it comes to that, Hooker’s gonna play for us. But Teddy probably will, too.
“I understand what it looks like, but it’s just a different world that we’re getting ready to walk into, and I just felt like this was the right thing to do.”
The different world of which Campbell speaks is the one the Lions encountered last season when they grabbed an early lead over the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game, only to watch it melt away in the final minutes. The stakes and pressure are exponentially higher in the postseason, and there’s no reason to avoid adding a veteran at the most important position if possible. As the saying goes, those who fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
Bridgewater also brings another benefit to the Lions: He can push their banged up defense in practice, which will be increasingly valuable as Detroit is forced to shuffle pieces in response to injuries.
“Whenever he gets his sea legs back under him, he’ll test those guys a bit defensively, which is good in practice,” Campbell said of Bridgewater. “I just feel like when you get guys that you feel like make everybody around them a little bit better, it’s hard not to have those guys around or add them if you can.”
As Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes have done since they’ve arrived in Detroit, they’re making an addition they feel will benefit the Lions. In a historic season for the franchise, it’s only right.
Breaking News: Teddy Bridgewater coming out of retirement to sign with LionsIn a shocking turn of events, former NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has announced that he will be coming out of retirement to sign with the Detroit Lions. The 29-year-old signal-caller had previously retired from football in 2021 after a successful career that saw him play for the Minnesota Vikings, Carolina Panthers, and Denver Broncos.
Bridgewater’s decision to return to the gridiron comes as a surprise to many, but the Lions are undoubtedly thrilled to add a veteran presence to their quarterback room. With uncertainty surrounding their current starter, Jared Goff, Bridgewater’s experience and leadership could prove invaluable to the team.
Fans are already buzzing with excitement at the prospect of seeing Bridgewater in a Lions uniform, and many are hopeful that he can help turn the struggling franchise around. Only time will tell if Bridgewater can recapture the magic of his earlier playing days, but one thing is for certain – the Lions just got a whole lot more interesting. Stay tuned for more updates as this story develops.

In the not-so-distant future, the world will be forever changed by the rise of artificial intelligence. The Sentient Machine, a term coined to describe the advanced level of AI that has the ability to think, reason, and learn like a human, is set to revolutionize industries, societies, and the way we live our lives.Imagine a world where machines can not only perform tasks faster and more efficiently than humans, but can also understand emotions, make moral decisions, and even possess a sense of self-awareness. This may sound like something out of a science fiction movie, but the reality is that we are rapidly approaching a time when AI will be more than just a tool – it will be a true companion.
With the potential for AI to surpass human intelligence, there are many questions and concerns that arise. Will machines eventually outsmart us and take control? How will society adapt to a world where machines are our equals, or even our superiors? These are just some of the ethical dilemmas that we will need to grapple with as we enter the age of the Sentient Machine.
But despite the uncertainties and challenges that lie ahead, one thing is clear: the possibilities that AI presents are endless. From revolutionizing healthcare and transportation to enhancing creativity and productivity, the Sentient Machine has the power to shape a brighter future for all of humanity.
So as we stand on the brink of a new era, let us embrace the coming age of artificial intelligence with open minds and open hearts. The Sentient Machine is not just a prediction or a possibility – it is a reality that we must prepare for, and ultimately, embrace.
#Sentient #Machine #Coming #Age #Artificial #IntelligenceBiggest Retirement Changes Coming in 2025
For an individual retirement account (IRA), the standard cap for the 2025 tax year is $7,000. But if you are 50 or older, you can make a catch-up contribution of up to $1,000, for a total of $8,000. The limits are the same as in 2024 — and if you haven’t yet maxed out your contribution for 2024, you still can; the deadline is April 15, 2025.
Contribution limits are going up for people with workplace retirement plans. In 2025, those ages 50-plus can put up to $31,000 into a 401(k), 403(b) or Thrift Savings Plan (and most 457 plans). That’s $500 above the 2024 cap. The limit for workers 49 and younger ticks up from $23,000 to $23,500 in 2025.
4. ‘Super catch-up’ contributions
Starting in 2025, workers near retirement age can put even more into employer-sponsored retirement plans. The so-called ”super catch-up” contribution enabled by the SECURE 2.0 Act, a 2022 federal law designed to help U.S. workers save more, goes into effect Jan. 1.
Under this provision, savers ages 60 through 63 can make bigger catch-up contributions than other 50-plus workers: up to $11,250 over the standard limit, for a total of $34,750.
Early-60s workers can make super catch-up contributions to a 401(k), 403(b), governmental 457 or Thrift Savings Plan. The super catch-up is indexed to inflation and may increase year to year.
5. RMDs
People ages 73 and older must make annual minimum withdrawals from traditional IRAs and workplace retirement plans. Roth IRAs and workplace accounts are exempt from these required minimum distributions, or RMDs, as long as the original account owner is alive.
The IRS calculates your RMD based on the account balance and your life expectancy. You’ll owe federal income taxes on the withdrawal, at your regular tax rate. If you turned 73 in 2024, you have until April 1, 2025, to take your RMD; otherwise, the deadline is Dec. 31, 2024.
New RMD rules taking effect in 2025 will affect some heirs who inherit an IRA. These beneficiaries typically must make minimum annual withdrawals but until 2025 have been able to spread them out over their lifetime. Starting Jan. 1, IRA inheritors other than a spouse — such as a child, sibling or a close friend — have 10 years to deplete the account.
This 10-year rule was part of a 2019 federal law on retirement savings but the IRS delayed implementation for several years. It applies to beneficiaries of accounts whose original owner died on or after Jan. 1, 2020. (Surviving spouses, in most cases, still have their full lifetime to empty an inherited account.)
6. Standard tax deduction
Most taxpayers take the standard deduction rather than itemizing their tax returns, and taxpayers ages 65 and up get to take a little bit more out of their taxable income. The IRS annually adjusts the amounts for inflation.
Here are the regular standard deductions for 2024 tax returns (the ones you must file by April 15, 2025):
- Married couple filing jointly: $29,200 (up from $27,700 in the 2023 tax year)
- Single or married filing separately: $14,600 (up from $13,850)
- Head of household: $21,600 (up from $20,500)
As we approach the year 2025, it’s important to stay informed about the biggest retirement changes that will be coming into effect. Here are some key updates to keep in mind:1. Increased retirement age: With people living longer and the strain on retirement funds, many countries are increasing the retirement age. This means that individuals may have to work longer before they can access their full retirement benefits.
2. Changes to pension plans: Governments and companies may be making adjustments to pension plans, such as reducing benefits or increasing contributions. It’s important to stay up to date on any changes to your specific plan.
3. Social Security updates: Social Security programs may undergo changes to ensure their sustainability. This could mean adjustments to benefit amounts, eligibility criteria, or the age at which you can start receiving benefits.
4. Health care costs: As healthcare costs continue to rise, it’s crucial to factor this into your retirement planning. Consider how you will cover medical expenses as you age, whether through insurance, savings, or other means.
5. Shift towards self-funded retirement: With the uncertainty surrounding traditional pension plans, more individuals may need to rely on their own savings and investments for retirement. This highlights the importance of starting to save early and regularly.
By staying informed about these upcoming retirement changes, you can better prepare for your financial future and ensure a comfortable retirement. Keep an eye on updates from your government, employer, and financial advisors to stay ahead of the game.
