OnlyFans model Anna Beatriz Pereira Alves died at age 27 after falling off of a hotel balcony in Brazil. The adult entertainment creator — who was known online as Anna Polly — was said to be filming content with two men when she fatally fell on Jan. 23.
In a statement issued to local Brazilian outlet Quem, law enforcement said that they have yet to conclude whether or not the late influencer’s death was an accident.
“The investigation is underway at the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Division (DHBF). Those involved and witnesses are giving statements and agents are carrying out other investigations to determine the circumstances of the death,” said the police in an English translation of their statement.
The news site detailed preliminary information about Alves’ tragic fall. At the time, she is said to have been accompanied by two males, who took part in the content she was reportedly filming. Her body was discovered in the patio area of the Mont Blanc Apart Hotel in Nova Iguaçu, a suburb of Rio de Janeiro.
The hotel did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment, though Quem reported that the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident. A spokesperson for the local police stated their objective was to “clarify what happened.”
The representative continued, “It’s a complex case, and we don’t rule out any possibility, from an accident to a possible crime.” The news site also reported that an autopsy has been ordered.
A cause of death has yet to be confirmed, though Quem noted that an anticipated report by Forensic Medical Institute could help investigators determine whether Alves consumed substances or withstood any assault before her fall.
According to multiple outlets, the late model’s boyfriend Pedro Henrique — who was not involved in the content said to be filmed when she fell — took to social media to mourn the OnlyFans influencer.

He also posted information about the funeral, as seen in a screenshot included by Quem. The shared details suggest that the event took place on Jan. 25 at Jardim de Mesquita cemetery in Rio de Janeiro.
Alves’ social media accounts have seemingly been deactivated since her death last week.
Today, tragic news has shocked the online community as it has been reported that a popular content creator on OnlyFans has fallen to their death at the age of 27 while filming content on a hotel balcony.
The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was known for their provocative and explicit content on the subscription-based platform. They had amassed a large following and had become a prominent figure in the adult entertainment industry.
It is believed that the fall occurred while the individual was filming a risky stunt or provocative pose on the balcony of their hotel room. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation, but it serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers that can come with creating explicit content for online platforms.
Our thoughts go out to the family, friends, and fans of the individual during this difficult time. May their tragic passing serve as a cautionary tale for others in the industry to prioritize safety and responsibility while creating content for their audience.

The Trump administration plans to pause some federal government websites in order to remove content contrary to the president’s thinking, administration officials told CBS News.
Word spread quickly throughout Washington that action would be taken to change federal websites.
Politico reported earlier in the day that Agriculture Department employees had been ordered to delete landing pages on climate change across agency websites, according to an internal email, and the directive had come from the USDA’s communications office.
Multiple officials from health departments and nonprofits receiving federal funding say they’ve been told to scrub mentions of gender and equity from their programs, in order to comply with President Trump’s executive order this week, CBS News confirmed. Reuters first reported this directive.
It’s unclear how health departments and nonprofits would be able to comply with the sweeping instructions in many situations, especially given many health programs were explicitly designed to overcome equity gaps or diseases that have disproportionately affected transgender people.
One local health official said that Trump administration officials had said over the long term, grantees might also need to comply with the federal order banning pronouns in email signatures, which had initially been thought to extend only to federal staff.
Letters obtained by CBS News sent to grant recipients cite the “Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs” and “Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism” executive orders for the sweeping instructions.
President Trump, asked by reporters in the Oval Office Friday if websites would be shut down to remove diversity-related content, replied, “If they want to scrub the websites, that’s OK with me.”
Jennifer Jacobs is a senior White House reporter at CBS News.
In a controversial move, Trump administration officials have announced plans to temporarily pause some federal government websites in order to remove diversity-related content. This decision has sparked outrage among critics who argue that diversity and inclusion are crucial aspects of government operations.
The officials have cited concerns about the accuracy and relevance of the diversity-related content on these websites, claiming that it may not align with the administration’s priorities. This move comes amidst a broader push by the Trump administration to roll back diversity and inclusion initiatives across various government agencies.
Critics have condemned this decision as a blatant attempt to erase the progress made in promoting diversity and equality within the federal government. They argue that diversity is essential for ensuring that all voices are heard and that policies are inclusive of all communities.
It remains to be seen how this pause in website content removal will impact diversity initiatives within the federal government. However, many are calling for transparency and accountability in the decision-making process to ensure that diversity remains a priority in government operations.
The Trump administration will put a pause on most federal government websites Friday evening in an effort to eliminate DEI content and any language opposed to President Trump’s agenda, Fox News Digital has learned.
A Trump administration official told Fox News Digital that federal government websites are expected to go dark at around 5:00 p.m. Friday evening.
The official told Fox News Digital that the length of the pause on federal websites is unclear at this time, but will seek to remove content that is “anti-Trump administration.”
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
Brooke Singman is a political correspondent and reporter for Fox News Digital, Fox News Channel and FOX Business.
The Trump administration has announced plans to pause federal government websites in an effort to eliminate content related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as well as anti-Trump material. This move comes as part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to suppress dissenting voices and promote a more narrow, pro-Trump agenda.
Critics of the decision have raised concerns about the impact this could have on government transparency and the ability of the public to access important information. By limiting access to DEI resources and information critical of the Trump administration, the government risks further polarizing the country and stifling important conversations about social justice and equality.
It remains to be seen how this decision will be implemented and what specific content will be targeted for removal. However, it is clear that the Trump administration’s actions are a concerning step towards limiting the free flow of information and promoting a more narrow, partisan message. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
Welcome to “Good Morning, Illini Nation,” your daily dose of college basketball news from Illini beat writer and AP Top 25 voter Scott Richey. He’ll offer up insights every morning on Brad Underwood’s team and college basketball at large:
The first question to Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg on Wednesday in Lincoln, Neb., was about Illinois. Specifically the challenges the Illini might present in Thursday’s game at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
“A lot jumps out on problems they can cause,” Hoiberg told reporters. “First of all, they play with a lot of pace. We’ve got to do a good job of getting back in transition. They really share it. They do a good job of creating threes.
“(Kasparas) Jakucionis is incredibly impressive at the point guard position for his age. He’s a wizard in ball screens. We’re going to have to do a good job not only trying to contest shots, but contest passes and buy rotations time and close out with urgency.”
Jakucionis’ playmaking and the Illini’s shot making potential were just two aspects of Thursday’s matchup that give Hoiberg pause. Rebounding is another.
“The other thing with Illinois is they are relentless on the glass,” the Cornhuskers coach said. “They had 21 offensive rebounds in their last game against Northwestern. They had 15 at Michigan State, which is damn near impossible to do with that team and their physicality.
“They lead the nation in rebound margin, and they crash everybody. They don’t send anybody back. They all five crash, and if we don’t make contact and play physical it’s going to be a long day.”
Check out Hoiberg’s full press conference here:
Good Morning, Illini Nation!
Former NBA player and current head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Fred Hoiberg, recently shared his thoughts on the University of Illinois basketball program. Hoiberg, who played college basketball at Iowa State and later coached the Chicago Bulls, had high praise for the Illini team and their head coach, Brad Underwood.
In a recent interview, Hoiberg commended Underwood for his leadership and the way he has built a strong and competitive team in Champaign. He highlighted the talent and depth of the Illini roster, particularly singling out standout players like Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn.
Hoiberg also mentioned the exciting rivalry between Nebraska and Illinois, noting the intensity and competitiveness of their matchups. He expressed his respect for the Illini program and their passionate fan base, acknowledging the team’s potential to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
As a former player and coach with experience at both the college and professional levels, Hoiberg’s insights into the Illinois basketball program carry weight. It’s always great to hear positive feedback from respected figures in the basketball world, and it’s clear that the Illini are making a strong impression on Hoiberg and others around the country.
So, Illini Nation, let’s continue to support our team and show the rest of the college basketball world what we’re made of. With the guidance of Coach Underwood and the talent on our roster, the future looks bright for Illinois basketball. Go Illini!
Microsoft has announced that Forza Horizon 5 is crossing the console divide from Xbox Series X to PS5.
In a news release, Microsoft pegged Forza Horizon 5 for release on PS5 “this spring” but didn’t nail down a specific release date. The racing game will arrive on PS5 with all of the same content and DLC as the Xbox and PC version, and cross-play has been confirmed.
In addition, there’s a new update called Horizon Realms coming to all platforms that “will give players the chance to explore a curated collection of some of the community’s favorite previously released Evolving Worlds, alongside some other surprises.”
Released in 2021, Forza Horizon 5 brings all the thrills of racing to an open-world format based in Mexico and adds new modes such as hide-and-seek. We were pretty keen on it upon release and gave it a perfect score in our Forza Horizon 5 review.
“Forza Horizon 5 is a stunning and beautifully crafted entry in the series that’s full of memorable races, creativity, and fantastic additions,” we said, also calling it “Playground Games’ most exciting and beautifully crafted entry yet.” No pressure for Fable 4 or anything like that, then.
Over the past 12 months, Microsoft has softened its stance on Xbox exclusives, with various older games like Hi-Fi Rush and Grounded jumping to consoles like the PS5, Nintendo Switch, and so on. Even newer games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle have been released with less exclusivity in mind, though PlayStation fans are still waiting on that one.
Speaking in a recent interview, Xbox boss Phil Spencer explained that “there is no reason for me to put a ring fence around any game” when asked about Starfield’s future platform plans.
Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more
“Our strategy is to allow our games to be available,” he said “Game Pass is an important component of playing the games on our platform, but to keep games off of other platforms, that’s not a path for us. It doesn’t work for us.”
We’re still waiting for Starfield to cross the console divide, but Forza Horizon 5? No longer.
Exciting news for all racing game enthusiasts! Forza Horizon 5, the highly acclaimed Xbox game, is finally making its way to the PlayStation 5 this spring. Players can expect to experience all of the same thrilling gameplay, stunning graphics, and immersive open-world racing that has made Forza Horizon 5 a fan favorite.
What’s even more impressive is that the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5 will also include all of the same content and DLC that Xbox players have been enjoying. This means that PlayStation fans can look forward to exploring a wide variety of locations, customizing their dream cars, and competing in intense races across the beautiful landscapes of Mexico.
Whether you’re a longtime Forza Horizon fan or new to the series, this is an exciting opportunity to dive into the world of virtual racing on the PlayStation 5. Coca-Cola recalls drinks due to chlorate contamination
Chlorate occurs in food and drinks as a byproduct of chlorine disinfectant
Consumption poses a low to moderate health risk, especially in children
The timing couldn’t be worse for Coca-Cola: Having just announced the arrival of a new flavor for the US market — Coca-Cola Orange Cream, coming February — the international company was forced to recall a range of its drinks, distributed in northwestern Europe.
An “excessively high chlorate content” was detected in cans and bottles of Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Fuze Tea, Minute Maid, Nalu, Royal Bliss and Tropico, said the company in a press statement, January 27, 2025.
How to know your product is affected: Look for a production code ranging from 328 GE to 338 GE.
Check the production codes on Coca-Cola cans and bottles, seen here, to know whether your beverage is part of the recallImage: Coca-Cola
What are chlorates?
Chlorates are salts of chloric acid — a compound containing chlorine and oxygen, also known as an oxoacid or oxyacid.
They can occur as a byproduct of chlorine-based disinfectants used in food and drink production, including agriculture. Such disinfectants may be used to sanitize water systems, but can leave chlorate residues in the products
Sodium and potassium chlorates have been used in pesticides but are now prohibited in the European Union.
In the US, meanwhile, sodium chlorate is permitted. A memorandum published in 2020 by the US Environmental Protection Agency stated “there does not appear to be a concern at this time” in pesticides.
How dangerous is it to consume chlorates?
The Coca-Cola company said in its press statement “[l]ow levels of chlorate are found in common foods and beverages, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, diary products, and drinking water,” but that “[i]ndependent expert analysis concludes that any associated risk to consumers is very low.”
However, in an oft-quoted study on the “[r]isks for public health related to the presence of chlorate in food” (2015), the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) stated that chronic exposure to chlorate could cause the inhibition of iodine intake: “Chronic exposures are of concern in particular in younger age groups with mild or moderate iodine deficiency.”
When the intake of iodine is inhibited in humans, it can cause temporary changes to thyroid hormone levels in high-risk groups. But the inhibition of iodine intake through chlorate is “reversible,” according to the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR).
After assessing the results of laboratory tests on non-human animals, the EFSA estimated a tolerable daily intake (TDI) of 3 µg (micrograms) chlorate/kg of body weight for humans.
The BfR says a “one-time intake is regarded as non-critical” for human health. However, we are unable to say whether a “one-time intake” is the same as one can or bottle in this instance because Coca-Cola has not said how much chlorate was detected in cans or bottles.
Where else are chlorates found in food?
The BfR says chlorates have “frequently” been detected in deep-frozen vegetables, fruit juices and lettuce and herbs. It says chlorates may be found in these foods because of “glazing” techniques, the dilution of juices concentrates and the washing of vegetables with contaminated water.
Chlorate is also detected in drinking water. According to the EFSA, drinking water is the main source of chlorate in the diet, possibly contributing up to 60% of chronic chlorate exposure for infants.
The WHO has proposed a maximum of 0.7mg chlorate per liter for it to be safe to consume.

Coca-Cola Recall Alert: ‘Excessively High Chlorate Content’ Found in Some Products
Attention all Coca-Cola lovers! A recent recall has been issued for certain Coca-Cola products due to an ‘excessively high chlorate content’ that has been found in some batches. The German consumer protection organization, Stiftung Warentest, has reported that the levels of chlorate in these products exceed the legal limit and could pose a potential health risk.
Coca-Cola has stated that they are working closely with authorities to investigate the issue and ensure the safety of their products. In the meantime, they have urged consumers to check the batch numbers of their Coca-Cola products and refrain from consuming any products that fall within the identified batches.
If you have purchased any Coca-Cola products recently, be sure to check the batch number and compare it to the list provided by Coca-Cola. If your product is affected, it is recommended to return it to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.
Stay informed and stay safe, Coca-Cola lovers! Let’s hope for a swift resolution to this issue and a return to enjoying our favorite fizzy drink without any worries.
