How Long Will Adam Copeland Be with AEW? Contract Details Revealed
Adam Copeland, better known by his wrestling name Edge, made a shocking return to the wrestling world earlier this year when he signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Fans were thrilled to see the former WWE superstar back in the ring, but many are wondering how long he will be with AEW.Contract details have recently been revealed, shedding some light on the length of Edge’s tenure with the up-and-coming wrestling promotion. According to reports, Edge has signed a three-year deal with AEW, meaning fans can expect to see him in the ring for quite some time.
Edge’s contract with AEW is said to be worth a substantial amount of money, which is no surprise given his star power and years of experience in the wrestling industry. The 48-year-old wrestler has proven time and time again that he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level, and AEW is undoubtedly thrilled to have him on board.
Many fans are speculating about what Edge’s role will be in AEW and who he will be feuding with in the coming months. With a three-year contract, there is plenty of time for Edge to make a significant impact on the promotion and potentially even capture some championship gold.

Ricochet has long been one of the most talented in-ring high-flyer performers in wrestling. (Photo by Frank Jansky/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images) Leave it to AEW to start the new year with a bang.
December’s Worlds End pay-per-view left fans salivating over what 2025 could hold after several stellar matches and storyline continuations — some old, some new. After seeing some teases for possible returns, there’s plenty to digest on the first “AEW Dynamite” of 2025, so let’s get into it, gang.
Subtle improvements
2025 launched AEW’s new broadcasting deal with Max, and as soon as the show’s first match started, the changes were apparent.
The hard cam received a noticeable raise along with the usage of a single wide shot for the opening stages of Orange Cassidy vs. Hangman Adam Page. It was an extremely nice but subtle touch, giving a more realistic feel to the atmosphere. The arena’s lighting was also much improved, a complaint for years with AEW. Overall, the production quality appears to be headed in a good direction.
I mean, when “I’m So Excited” by The Pointer Sisters opens your show with a beautiful new intro, you’re doing things right.
Stabbing of the Night
Everyone is trying to land their place in the upcoming Casino Gauntlet match that leads to the AEW World title. To get there, we need some triple-threat action, don’t we? It’s almost like these shows have been getting booked exclusively for me these days. You love to see it.
Roderick Strong vs. Jay White vs. Swerve Strickland — all three are great on their own but even better together. I’ve been pushing for Jay White’s world title reign and I still need to see it, however Swerve Strickland has singlehandedly changed my mind with his continued brilliance.
The guy has “it.” There’s an indescribable presence my fellow Washingtonian has created beyond his history with the world title, and he needs another reign. He’s an absurdly menacing character who still finds ways to show off some deceptive athleticism. Strickland stole the show in Wednesday’s three-way match despite taking the loss after White pinned Strong.
And boy, how unserious is White for mocking Prince Nana while he beats a man down?
Ultimately, there was one lone reason Strickland didn’t get the win here — a scissor-wielding Ricochet, who stole the show Strickland had already stolen.
We’re getting this out of the way early tonight, folks. A double-whammy highlight for our…
Uncrowned Gem of the Night
Ricochet has officially gone completely bats*** bonkers and I cannot be any more excited for it.
“The Man Who Gravity Forgot” interfered in the three-way to sneak up and literally stab Strickland in the forehead with some golden scissors. As Strickland writhed in understandable pain, Ricochet stared blankly from a distance before continuing his bloody assault. To top off these unreal heel antics, he bashed poor Nana into oblivion with a chair and sat in the ring looking like a nerd who was pushed way, way, way too far over the edge.
The aesthetics were incredible. I dare say wrestling cinema.
This couldn’t have been better or more needed for a talent like Ricochet, who had the cheesiest good-guy persona ever. Playing into the opposite direction is a great call, assuming it keeps heading where it appears.
Opposites of the Night
If you didn’t know any better, you might think Ricochet was foreshadowing an alliance with The Acclaimed. That might’ve been pretty funny at one point, but now? That would lead to a tandem with Max Caster. They’re both Hurt Syndicate rejects. Maybe there is something there? I’m just saying.
Nonetheless, we’ve effectively seen the end of The Acclaimed, and it’s for the best. The former AEW Tag Team champions have run their course as a duo and Anthony Bowens let his longtime partner get pulverized by Bobby Lashley during their loss against Hurt Syndicate.
The writing was on the wall before the match as Caster’s been become more and more egotistically selfish. It was a refreshing touch to see Bowens call out problems rather than just ignoring them.
Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin SQUASHED and DOGWALKED Max Caster… as Anthony Bowens abandoned him.
R.I.P. The Acclaimed very soon, if not already. pic.twitter.com/UUBP5N008n
— Drainmaker (@DrainBamager) January 2, 2025
My biggest takeaways here were how Lashley and Shelton Benjamin can make such a dominant run as tag team champions. I’m not totally sure where AEW wants to take them, I’d love to see it lead toward gold, but I’m just beyond happy to see Benjamin utilized like this again.
Emotions of the Night
There are lots of mixed feelings when it comes to Jeff Jarrett, aren’t there?
Personally, I can’t help but always remember how Jarrett put himself over to the fullest in his own promotion. That type of booking always carries somewhat of a stench to it, regardless of whether it worked. And in TNA, when he was on top, I think it did work, so it’s that double-edged sword.
On this “AEW Dynamite,” Jarrett announced that he isn’t retiring, but did sign what will be his final contract as a performer. He still looks great for 57, so I was going to be somewhat surprised if he did just call it quits on Wednesday, especially without a match. But then Jarrett proclaimed he wants one more run at a world title. There has to be a swerve coming with this, because as good as this whole segment was, you can’t convince me anyone wants to see that.
I guess we’ll find out in the Casino Gauntlet match.
A sneaky Karen Jarrett appearance backstage was also great while Jarrett met with his friends and former teammates. Sonjay Dutt, in particular, had phenomenal delivery with his lines and you could feel the emotion, considering their history.
Car Crash of the Night
It’s our favorite award!
Firstly, the returning Adam Copeland is now just Cope, apparently. I don’t think anyone has been as affected by WWE name ownership as him. He’ll always be Edge. Despite that, he’s in this extremely confident, consistently hyped up, snarky mode all the time and it’s been incredible in two appearances.
Cope and FTR got the win over Death Riders in an expectedly chaotic trios match. Cash Wheeler’s sprint out of the ring for a dive directly into a Claudio Castganoli uppercut was brutal. Castagnoli’s physicality is almost unparalleled, and you can see him get fired up and keep the momentum going after moments like that. He smashed Dax Harwood with one for good measure right afterward.
The Shatter Machine to a Spear on Wheeler Yuta was a beautiful sight as well. If there wasn’t good action in that match, we’d be gearing up for some serious problems in 2025.
The most interesting element of the match was the Death Riders’ violent ways getting the better of the babyface team and finally costing them. If it weren’t for Jay White’s interference on Yuta while the other boys targeted Cope, the outcome would have been different. But again, as I’ve said in recent weeks, these guys don’t even care about winning, so why are we supposed to believe it now?
All this boils down to is Jon Moxley making far too many enemies for his stable to overcome. White, Cope, Christian Cage, and now MJF, who’s refocusing his attention on the world title.
MJF getting back to a world title picture is definitely needed, but with the other players involved, I don’t know how we get there. An obvious return to the Cage and Cope rivalry is bound to happen whether a title is involved.
EXPLOSIVE
1. I still feel like we wildly underrate the promo work of Moxley. As much as I don’t love the Death Riders, he knows how to captivate me and bring me back in no matter his role. He’s a staple of this company for good reason.
2. Orange Cassidy vs. Hangman Adam Page gave us a good scene-setting match to open the show. Unhinged Hangman remains an intriguing character, and his post-match beatdown of Cassidy and Christopher Daniels leaves us wondering what he’ll do next. The more I think about it, he kind of feels like a more serious version of the old pre-Death Riders Moxley.
3. Julia Hart has a superstar champion entrance. She got the win over Jamie Hayter in a solid match, and her win felt right even though Hayter should be pursuing titles. Ultimately, the Brit was protected by a dirty (literally) mist finish.
4. Kenny Omega is back next week. Automatic win. He’s also heading into another series of certified bangers with Kazuchika Okada. May the anticipation build, folks.
5. Mercedes Moné is becoming the female gold collector and that’s a good route.
6. The Breakthrough Wrestler of 2024 and AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May is so magnetically arrogant. Her line about not having epics because she is the epic … chef’s kiss.
7. Big Bill and Bryan Keith had a hilarious interaction with Rated FTR.
DUDSVILLE
1. Even with the production plusses, some strangely poor audio came in during the opening Rated FTR promo. This isn’t a huge L by any means, but you’d think these would be cleared up by now.
2. Old man Bobby Fish was left out of Undisputed Kingdom’s completion. The backstage promo from Adam Cole, Strong and Kyle O’Reilly wasn’t good. This doesn’t feel like a positive group revisit, and talk about a dud of an ending to the MJF feud.
3. Powerhouse Hobbs squashed Rob Killjoy and Jon Cruz. Not sure why we’re having an established longtime AEW talent doing this.
I give this show a Crown score of: 8/10.
In the latest episode of AEW Dynamite on January 1st, fans were treated to an action-packed night of wrestling with some shocking developments. Here are the results and highlights from the show:– In a surprising turn of events, Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge, announced that he would be changing his name once again. This caused quite a stir among fans, as they wondered what could have prompted this decision.
– Ricochet put on a jaw-dropping performance in his match, showcasing his incredible athleticism and high-flying moves. However, things took a dark turn as he seemed to snap mid-match, unleashing a vicious attack on his opponent. The referee had to intervene to stop the assault, leaving fans in shock.
– The Young Bucks continued their winning streak, defeating their opponents in a tag team match with their signature high-octane style.
– The women’s division also saw some exciting action, with Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker putting on an intense match that had fans on the edge of their seats.
– In the main event, Kenny Omega successfully defended his AEW World Championship title against a determined challenger, solidifying his status as one of the top stars in the company.
Overall, AEW Dynamite delivered another thrilling episode with plenty of surprises and standout performances. Fans can’t wait to see what’s next for their favorite wrestlers as the new year kicks off.

More than 25 years after his debut, the roar from the crowd never gets old for Adam Copeland.
His return Saturday night at the conclusion of Worlds End in Orlando was a scene he’s played over and again. His music blasts over the arena speakers and almost immediately, people know who it is. All the energy is directed at him as his pyro hits and the building loses its collective mind.
It’s hard to explain, Copeland says. He compares it to musicians performing, a football player scoring a touchdown, and it’s part of the reason at 51 years young, despite another setback, another injury, and another surgery, he’s not ready to hang his boots up just yet.
“I think that’s part of the pull, right? And that’s why you see folks who don’t need to still be doing this doing it because it still hits that core. You can’t really explain it, man,” Copeland tells Uproxx Sports. “If you could bottle it, you’d be a trillionaire.”
On Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite — which will be the first show simulcast on TBS and streaming on Max — we’ll get our first look at Rated FTR, marking Copeland’s first in-ring action in seven months when he joins Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler against Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta of the Death Riders.
Copeland says he’s been training in the ring for about three months getting prepared for his return, which takes place in Asheville, North Carolina on a special Fight for the Fallen episode of Dynamite. Through Fight for the Fallen, AEW will help provide support and resources to those impacted by Hurricane Helene directly through organizations already on the frontlines of disaster relief efforts.
Asheville, which was among the cities devastated by the hurricane earlier this year, currently is home for Copeland, Harwood, and Wheeler. The support from AEW CEO Tony Khan and AEW has been “amazing,” says Copeland, and goes beyond Wednesday night’s efforts.
“I was cleared and ready to come back and I had the conversation with Tony trying to work out what do you want me to come back to? And he was like, do you. Don’t worry about coming back right now because life, right? He understands that and he gets that and respects it, and because we did have a lot of work here to do, not just for our household and everything, but for the community,” Copeland says. “I’m just really happy that we’re doing this show here. It’s my first one back in the place that I now call home with two of my best buddies who also call this home. It’s storybook in that regard.”
Copeland’s return to the ring coincides with AEW’s monumental simulcast, a nod to his star power alongside FTR for the show’s live debut on Max. Copeland says at this point in his career, he’s a utility player — he can slot in wherever AEW needs him on the roster, whether it be in the opening act or in this case, the main event.
“I understand that at times, you need me to bat first or clean up. And so that’s where I feel like, okay, that’s my role right now. We’re coming back, fresh off an Emmy nomination, it feels like the time to go, okay, we should probably use this talent who’s in the midst of some pretty cool things happening and highlight that, that’s just business,” Copeland says.
“So it’s my time now to move forward and compete for the title and be involved in that storyline. And at some point it won’t be and it’ll be a different thing you need me to do. And that’s really how I’ve always looked at my position. Okay, where do you need me? Slot me in. I’ll make it work.”
That last part has been key to Copeland’s growth and his ability to last in the main event scene, and it’s something he’s “prided myself on” over the course of his career. His top priority has always been to make things work, as he believes that level of consistency is something people notice.
“There’s been some things that on paper, I’m like, ‘Oh, this is going to be a challenge,’ but again, I enjoy challenges for sure. Luckily, working a guy like Moxley and against all of these guys and getting in there with Claudio for the first time, I don’t have to worry about that where you can just get in and enjoy and perform.”
Copeland couldn’t ask for a better position to return in. He says his latest setback, breaking in his tibia in May, was more annoying than anything.
“One more scar, one more plate, seven more screws and you just get moving. That’s where it was with that. But after about three months, I was up, I was moving around, I was getting around pretty good,” Copeland says. “I got back in the ring by like the three and a half month mark. I was like, okay, there we go. Now it’s just a matter of when to come back. What’s the proper timing getting in the Percy Jackson filming before and just all of that stuff.”
His injury removed Copeland from any possibility of performing during All In at Wembley Stadium, a bucket list item that he wants to cross off before his career comes to an end, although that’s not the only place he wants to wrestle before he retires.
“I’d love to wrestle in Arena México. Never worked there for CMLL or anything like that, so I think that would be great. I’ve been as a fan, at the time I was world champ — so I went to this show with a lucha mask on and I sat in the third row and watched the entire show,” Copeland says with a laugh. “Tokyo Dome. Never performed there, love to do that. And then for me, the really big one is Maple Leaf Gardens. I don’t even know what it’s called now, but I want to do Maple Leaf Gardens.”
While venues hold a special place in his heart, Copeland says the thing that gives him the most energy right now is telling a great story with a quality opponent. He points to his time with Christian early in his AEW run and the ability to weave in countless other stars, from Nick Wayne to Daniel Garcia as a way to play chess with the AEW roster.
“I think story and opponent, they go hand in hand,” Copeland says. “That for me is still the biggest thing. That’s the thing that I enjoy the most. That’s the thing I get off on is go, okay, let’s craft this story. How many months do we have? Let’s figure out some tent poles. How many other characters can we pull into it and moving parts, and then hopefully have a few different characters come out of it with intriguing stories going forward. That to me is always really fun, and without diluting it or making it confusing, getting as many different characters involved as you can.”
More than anything, Copeland is relishing living in the moment. He understands there’s an expiration date on his career, but says it’s not something he dwells on. In his eyes, all that thinking about retirement does is make you anxious, and then the moment will either pass or fail to live up to your expectations.
Copeland knows the clock is ticking. But before it hits midnight, he’s making sure all of his focus is on what he has going on as he returns to the ring.
“There’s still some really fun stories to be explored that will probably eat up a year and a half, two years,” he says. “And then I think it’s going to be time. But again, I can’t sit there and dwell on it. I have to focus on each time I’m in that ring and go, here I am. You’ve got to be in the present. Otherwise, bad things can happen, but also being in the present, I soak it all in, I enjoy it all instead of getting too far forward.”
Adam Copeland, better known as Edge, has been making waves in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) since his return to the ring earlier this year. After a successful comeback in WWE, Copeland decided to take his talents to AEW, where he has been thriving in a new environment. One thing that stands out about Copeland’s run in AEW is his ability to live in the moment. He is not dwelling on past accomplishments or looking too far ahead to the future. Instead, he is fully present in each match, giving it his all and leaving everything in the ring.
In a recent interview, Copeland spoke about the importance of living in the moment and how it has helped him in his wrestling career. He emphasized the need to focus on the task at hand and not get caught up in distractions or outside pressures.
Copeland’s mindset of living in the moment has translated into some incredible performances in AEW. He has had memorable matches against top talent and has shown that he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level.
As Copeland continues to make his mark in AEW, fans can expect to see more of his in-the-moment approach to wrestling. Whether he’s facing off against a longtime rival or a newcomer to the company, Copeland’s focus and determination are sure to shine through.
In a world where the wrestling landscape is constantly changing, Adam Copeland is proving that living in the moment is the key to success. With his passion for the sport and his unwavering dedication, Copeland is sure to continue making an impact in AEW for years to come.

#Adam #Copeland #Living #Moment #AEWAdam Copeland Signs Lucrative Contract Extension with [Team Name]: What It Means for the Salary Cap
Adam Copeland, the star player of [Team Name], has just signed a lucrative contract extension that is set to have a significant impact on the team’s salary cap. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is rumored to be a multi-year extension worth millions of dollars.Copeland, who has been a key player for [Team Name] for several years, is known for his scoring ability, leadership on and off the court, and overall impact on the team’s success. His contract extension is a clear sign that the team values his contributions and sees him as a key piece of their future success.
With Copeland’s new contract in place, the team will have to carefully manage their salary cap to ensure they can field a competitive roster while also staying under the league’s salary cap restrictions. The salary cap is the maximum amount of money that a team can spend on player salaries in a given season, and exceeding it can result in penalties and restrictions on team operations.
The signing of Copeland to a lucrative extension means that a larger portion of the team’s salary cap will be dedicated to his contract, potentially limiting the team’s ability to sign other players or make additional roster moves. However, the team’s management is likely confident that Copeland’s contributions are worth the financial investment and that they can still field a competitive team within the constraints of the salary cap.
In addition to the financial implications, Copeland’s contract extension also sends a message to the rest of the league that [Team Name] is committed to building a winning team and keeping their star players happy. This can have a positive impact on the team’s reputation and ability to attract free agents in the future.
Overall, Adam Copeland’s contract extension with [Team Name] is a significant development that will have a major impact on the team’s salary cap and roster management. Fans can look forward to seeing Copeland continue to lead the team to success on the court, while the team’s management works to navigate the financial implications of his new deal.

No other artists of the new wave reached such stratospheric commercial heights as The Police. Their pleasing blend of reggae dub and pop won them an army of fans that didn’t care much for punk, and by the time the 1980s rolled around, they were selling out stadiums off the back of monster LPs like Ghost in the Machine and Synchronicity.
Disbanding not long after their mammoth hit ‘Every Breath You Take’, singer Sting saw further success as a global name in the adult-contemporary singer-songwriter world, and guitarist Andy Summers indulged in his second love of photography and holding exhibits around the world.
Drummer Stewart Copeland built a respectable day job for himself as a composer for film and TV, scoring a diverse array of work from Wall Street, Ken Loach’s Riff Raff, and Highlander II: The Quickening. One of the first mainstream musicians commissioned to a video game after Michael Jackson‘s uncredited production for Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Copeland stepped up to the task of scoring the first four entries of the Spyro the Dragon series, crafting tracks he considered some of the best of his career.
Concerning the titular dragon’s adventures in a fantasy world and encountering the myriad enemies smattered across the floating worlds against pink-tinted skies and glittering starscapes, the interactive medium, coupled with the evocative imagery, demanded both a high turnaround while maintaining a creative energy.
Speaking to Screen Rant last year in celebration of the game’s 25th anniversary, Copeland recognised the useful discipline of video games musical peripheries: “I just had to churn and burn. There was so much music required; it was like doing a quadruple album of backing tracks every summer for four years. It was deeply engrossing, but I had to just move so quickly that I discovered something interesting about composition and probably other artistic endeavours as well, which is that pressure increases the quality. I had to produce such quantity that I could not stop for a minute, I couldn’t evaluate, couldn’t judge just had to churn and burn.”
He did his homework. Playing the levels with the help of cheat codes provided to him by the developer, Copeland sat through the game, noting down details of the worlds he was navigating, sketching ideas he’d flesh out for the score. Reportedly, to get into the musical headspace, he had to complete the level first before attempting to tinker with his Kurzweil K2500x keyboard and its orchestral samples.
Despite such lofty work with The Police and Hollywood, Copeland places Spyro the Dragon among his best works and instrumental in his practice as a composer, plus his own personal byword for musical eureka moments: “Looking back, it turns out that that music produced under those harsh conditions actually are some of the best tunes I ever wrote – some of the best basslines, some of the best chord progressions, some of the little three-note tricks”.
Concluding, “And now when I’m writing my big gigantic symphonic works, I go back to Spyro for that little trick there, that little idea that came when I was desperate, offering up my soul to the Muses, ‘Please just give me a riff!’”

The album Stewart Copeland considered his guilty pleasure
(Credits: Far Out / Alamy)
Having a guilty pleasure isn’t always as embarrassing as it sounds. It’s all good music at the end of the day, and even if something isn’t necessarily cool for someone to like, it’s hard to really judge anyone’s taste based on the one song that they consider to be a bit catchier than what they normally listen to. And for someone like Stewart Copeland, he couldn’t hide the fact that he had his fair share of guilty pleasures in the days of The Police.
When the power trio first started hitting the clubs, though, the mission was to make something that no one had ever considered. There had been pieces of punk and reggae in their delivery, but their goal was to create a smorgasbord of sound whenever Sting wrote a song, whether that meant putting something different into ‘Walking on the Moon’ or bringing that nervous energy to ‘Message in a Bottle’.
In the case of Copeland, it was more about finding a way to balance the tasteful playing with the more ambitious pieces that he put together. No one could spend their lives trying to beat the life out of the drumheads, but if he spent years trying to refine his craft behind the kit, he wasn’t going to sacrifice it for the bare minimum whenever Sting came up with a laid-back groove and needed a simple 4/4 rhythm.
And it wasn’t like the rest of the world wanted that kind of music, either. A lot of the crowds that Copeland ran with were interested in making songs that were deliberately sterile, and the sudden influx of new wave and synthesiser bands helped push the boundaries of where things would be going once the 1980s really kicked into high gear.
Things were certainly progressing, but that didn’t mean that Fleetwood Mac got off everyone’s speakers. As much as bands wanted to go outside the norm, Rumours ruled the airwaves for a damn good reason, and listening back to almost any song from the record, it’s no wonder why many people considered them one of the greatest rock and roll bands for production.
And despite doing jazzy experiments on records like Reggatta de Blanc and Zenyatta Mondatta, Copeland had to admit that he was singing right along with everyone else when ‘Dreams’ or ‘Go Your Own Way’ came on the radio, saying, “We were listening to Human League, Talking Heads and Blondie… in mono. Also, a guilty pleasure which I can confess after all these years, I was listening to Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, even though we were supposedly the revolutionaries trying to burn down their ship.”
It’s not like the band didn’t take a few cues from them as well. As much as their later records like Synchronicity catered towards the pop crowd, the immaculate production behind everything had to come from studying how Rumours was created, only this time with Copeland’s snare drum front and centre in the mix compared to the more rounded sound that Fleetwood Mac got on their final mix.
The Police stood for everything that Fleetwood Mac was the opposite of, but going back to Rumours is the perfect example of the phrase ‘know your enemy’. Because if you’re not careful, you might pick up on some of the tricks that the opposing side had up their sleeves for all those years.

Stewart Copeland, the legendary drummer of The Police, may be known for his contributions to iconic albums like “Synchronicity” and “Ghost in the Machine,” but there’s one album that he considers his guilty pleasure. That album is none other than ABBA’s “Arrival.” Despite being a rock and new wave icon, Copeland has admitted that he has a soft spot for the Swedish pop group’s music. In an interview, he confessed that he can’t help but sing along to hits like “Dancing Queen” and “Take a Chance on Me” whenever they come on the radio.
Copeland’s love for ABBA’s music may come as a surprise to some fans, but it just goes to show that even the most revered musicians have their guilty pleasures. And who can blame him for enjoying the infectious melodies and catchy hooks of ABBA’s songs?
So next time you’re jamming out to The Police, don’t be afraid to throw in a little ABBA too – after all, if it’s good enough for Stewart Copeland, it’s good enough for anyone.

In a recent, extensive interview on “Insight With Chris Van Vliet,” Copeland revealed that he had about 18 months left on his AEW contract and a pretty full dance card until then.
“I have about a year and a half left right now,” The former two-time AEW TNT Champion said. “A lot of business trying to get done in that time, there’s a lot of people I want to work within that time, and I look at it already and I think in the six months I’ve been there I think I’m close to 20 matches already.”

Copeland also stated that he plans to retire after this run of matches, although he did not give a specific date. Instead, he confirmed that he plans to make it permanent this time.
“When I retire this time,” Copeland said. “I truly — I’m going to come home and be dad, and occasionally act, and walk my dogs.”
Copeland originally retired in 2011 due to a career-threatening neck injury, which was expected to end his wrestling career. Despite this, he made occasional WWE appearances until making a surprise return in the 2020 Royal Rumble.
Copeland was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest wrestlers of his era.
More News: AEW Superstar Adam Copeland’s In-Ring Return is Imminent: Report
In a shocking turn, on October 1, 2023, Copeland debuted in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) following the WrestleDream pay-per-view event. Appearing under his real name and the iconic “Rated R Superstar” moniker, Copeland’s arrival marked a new chapter in his storied career.
Unfortunately, Copeland suffered a serious leg injury at AEW Double or Nothing 2024 when he leapt off the top of the cage. Despite successfully defending the AEW TNT Championship against Malakai Black, AEW Executive Vice Presidents Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson (The Young Bucks) stripped him of the TNT title on the May 29 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Despite the setback, Copeland is expected to make his return to AEW “imminently,” with speculation pointing to his comeback at the start of the new year. All things considered, this very well may turn out to be the last rounds of a legendary career.
