Original story: First responders rushed a pedestrian to the hospital Sunday after a serious car crash in North Berkeley, according to authorities and community reports.
The pedestrian was trapped under the car during the crash, which left groceries scattered in the street.
Berkeley police and firefighters were dispatched to California and Ada streets just before 1 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian who had just been struck and was under a vehicle about a block south of Monterey Market.
Officers said the pedestrian appeared to be “barely breathing” as first responders got to the scene and firefighters quickly established a rescue operation.

Once freed, BFD took the pedestrian “Code 3,” using lights and sirens, to Highland Hospital with a trauma activation, according to radio traffic reviewed by The Scanner.
Authorities identified the car as a red Chevrolet Bolt out of Oakland. The driver remained at the scene.

There is no video of the accident but reports state that Hamilton spun backwards through a gravel trap and crashed into a tyre wall.
‘Not repairable’ accident
The crash took place just 10 days after the MP4-22 was unveiled to the public. Meanwhile, a Ferrari spokesperson had said, “Lewis was unhurt but the MP4-22 will not be repairable in Valencia. The cause of the accident is being investigated.”

MIDLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) – A student at Midland High School was killed in a crash Thursday morning.
The crash happened on M-20, just west of South 5 Mile Road in Homer Township, around 6:40 a.m.
According to the Midland County Sheriff’s Office, a 17-year-old girl was driving a Chevrolet Sonic east on M-20 when she lost control on the ice and snow-covered roadway and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado going west on M-20. The pickup truck was being driven by a 41-year-old man from Midland.
The 17-year-old student was pronounced dead at the scene. No other people were in the vehicle at the time.
Police say the 41-year-old appeared to have suffered minor injuries but refused further treatment.
Toxicology results are pending, but police believe road conditions and speed were factors in the crash.
