Kanye West is back on U.S. turf after weeks of globe-trotting with Bianca Censori, and he’s wasting no time reconnecting with old pals — including A$AP Rocky.
As we know, A$AP’s been attending his high-profile assault trial downtown … and it seems like Ye is showing support, heading straight to his friend’s L.A. crib to spend the night Thursday.
It was a long day for Ye though, ’cause earlier he was spotted cruising the city in fancy cars with his manager, John Monopoly … and they stopped in at a West Hollywood studio.
Looks like Kanye was in a great mood, soaking up some fresh company after his time abroad with Bianca.
Bianca was probably using her downtime to recover from jet lag — oh, and you can bet she’s also plotting her next set of saucy Stateside fits.
In a shocking turn of events, Kanye West has jetted back to Los Angeles and taken refuge at A$AP Rocky’s house amidst his ongoing trial. The rapper, who has been embroiled in legal troubles in recent months, was spotted arriving at Rocky’s lavish mansion in the Hollywood Hills earlier this week.
Sources close to the situation revealed that Kanye sought shelter at A$AP Rocky’s home to escape the media frenzy surrounding his trial and to seek solace from his close friend. The two artists have been longtime collaborators and have a strong bond that dates back several years.
As Kanye’s trial continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how this unexpected development will impact the outcome of the case. Fans and onlookers alike are eagerly awaiting further updates on Kanye’s legal situation and his stay at A$AP Rocky’s house.
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

Two people were critically injured Wednesday afternoon when a small plane crashed and burned near Highway 101 in Goleta, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The aircraft, reportedly a single-engine Cirrus SR22, went down at about 2:15 p.m. on the Bishop Ranch, north of the freeway between Glen Annie Road and Los Carneros Road.
The 4-seat plane caught fire after the crash, and was putting up a large column of black smoke.
Two people — a 29-year-old man and a 32-ear-old woman — were on board the aircraft, according to fire Capt. Scott Safechuck.
Both suffered major injuries, and were taken by AMR ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Their names and details on their conditions were not available.
The crash sparked a small vegetation fire in the area, which firefighters quickly contained, according to authorities.
The California Highway Patrol briefly closed one northbound Highway 101 lane in the area of the crash, and the Los Carneros Road offramp, causing a traffic back-up.
The aircraft appeared to be doing a touch-and-go on one of the Santa Barbara Airport‘s shorter north-south runways shortly before the crash, according to FlightRadar24.
The crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
Personnel from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol also responded to the incident.

The downed plane was reported around 2:30 p.m., with witnesses reporting plumes of black smoke visible from Camino Real Shopping Center, and Goleta Beach.
Zick urged the public to avoid the area to allow for equipment responding to the scene. The area is just a few miles north of Santa Barbara Airport.
The downed aircraft was reported to be a “small private plane” with two passengers aboard, according to Santa Barbara County Fire spokesperson Captain Scott Safechuck. Both passengers have been transported to the hospital with “major injuries.” The downed plane caused a small vegetation fire in the area, which was knocked down by 2:39 p.m.
This is a developing story. Check back for additional details as they become available.

Emma Raducanu suffered a shock first-round defeat to Spain’s Cristina Bucsa as she crashed out of the Singapore Open.
In her first match since announcing she was parting ways with her longtime coach Nick Cavaday, Raducanu was second best in a marathon three-hour battle with the world No 101, who fought from a set down to claim the biggest win of her career.
Bucsa’s 5-7 7-5 7-5 victory at the WTA 250 event will be a huge reality check for Raducanu, who insisted she was improving after her hefty defeat by Iga Swiatek at the Australian Open last week.
In a contest that ebbed and flowed, there was hardly anything to separate the pair and the statistics suggested as much. Bucsa won 119 points to Raducanu’s 118, but it was the Spaniard who bossed it in the big moments.
Raducanu’s second serve told its own sorry story – she landed merely 25 per cent of her points off it – which ultimately allowed Bucsa to dictate from the back of the court, executing her groundstrokes with confidence.
Bucsa is a successful doubles specialist by trade – she won a bronze medal for Spain alongside Sara Sorribes Tormo at last year’s Paris Olympics – but showed she is still a force to be reckoned with on the singles court by toppling world No 56 Raducanu.
Bucsa has a fine track record in Asia, having reached the fourth round of last year’s China Open when she defeated 11th seed Liudmila Samsonova and 24th seed Elise Mertens.
Her father, Ion, represented Moldova in biathlon and was a flagbearer at the Winter Olympics in 1998 and 2002. He has seemingly passed those endurance genes on to his daughter.
The match tipped into its fourth hour when Raducanu, who was broken at 5-5 in the deciding set, fended off two match points. Bucsa, though, meant business, and she closed out victory after Raducanu splayed a forehand wide.
Raducanu had spoken of the “pressure” she invites with her flimsy second serve in the aftermath of her chastening defeat by Swiatek last week. On this evidence, that element of her game is in most urgent need of work as she bids to climb the rankings in 2025.
After her premature exit in Singapore, Raducanu could feature as early as next Monday at the Abu Dhabi Open, having received a wildcard for the WTA 500 event.
Depending on how she fares there, she could then travel to the Qatar Open, which is the first WTA 1000 event of the season. Raducanu entered the tournament last year but fell in the first round to Ukraine’s Anna Kalinina.
British tennis sensation Emma Raducanu suffered a disappointing defeat in the first round of the Singapore Open as her serve struggles continued to plague her game.
Raducanu, who shot to fame last year after winning the US Open as a qualifier, was unable to find her rhythm on serve against her opponent, losing 6-4, 6-3 in straight sets.
The 19-year-old has been struggling with her serve in recent matches, with her double faults and lack of consistency putting her at a disadvantage against more experienced opponents.
Despite the setback, Raducanu remains positive and determined to work on her game and improve her serve in order to bounce back stronger in future tournaments.
Fans will be hoping to see the young star back in top form soon, as she continues to make waves in the world of tennis.

Flight Risk
Ever since I saw the first trailer for Flight Risk, I’ve been a little conflicted. I like the idea of a really stripped down thriller with just three characters. I like the idea of the whole thing taking place inside a plane.
On the other hand, the trailer wasn’t very good and gave away too much. I’ve embedded the trailer below and I strongly urge you to avoid watching it if you have plans to see this movie. I despise trailers that give away such a huge amount of the plot.
The story takes place on a small plane as a U.S. Marshal, Madelyn Harris (Michelle Dockery of Downtown Abbey fame) escorts a government witness (Topher Grace of That 70’s Show who I genuinely didn’t recognize with the glasses) to testify at the trial of a mob boss. They discover along the way that—spoilers!—the pilot (played by Mark Wahlberg in his first real villain role since 1996’s Fear) is actually the assassin. Things go from bad to worse.
Then there is the fact that this is a film directed by Mel Gibson. Setting aside the various controversies that have plagued the actor and all the bizarre and sometimes racist things he’s said, I have a real appreciation for a lot of Gibson’s work. Braveheart came out years before Gibson became a Hollywood pariah and it remains to this day one of my favorite movies. He also directed the excellent thriller, Apocalypto, set during the peak—and near the fall—of the Mayan civilization. Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge was also great. He’s a talented director.
To direct a film like Flight Risk feels like a real step in the wrong direction, especially since (according to the vast bulk of reviews at this point) it’s not very good. To go from historical epics like Braveheart to this feels kind of sad. Sadder than Gibson’s acting career, even, which is far from his glory days of Lethal Weapon, Hamlet and Conspiracy Theory, or even his earlier work in films like A Year Of Living Dangerously or Gallipoli.
In any case, the film is—as of this writing—at 25% on Rotten Tomatoes. Certifiably rotten, in other words. Here’s a sampling of reviews:
Variety’s Todd Gilchrist calls the film a “crude, unimaginative, suspenseless adventure whose tension mostly derives from deciding which of its three main characters will prove the most unlikable by the time it ends.”
The Globe and Mail’s Barry Hertz writes, “A C-grade thriller that is further dumbed down to dunce-cap calibre, Flight Risk might have worked as an enjoyably grimy piece of genre trash had Gibson not made every single wrong directorial decision along the way.”
Others blame the script rather than Gibson’s direction. “To be fair, Jared Rosenberg’s witless screenplay has several stretches that no director could make exciting, or even minimally endurable,” The Wall Street Journal’s Zachary Barnes writes.
Alissa Wilkinson of The New York Times agrees, noting “Where “Flight Risk” fails as a film is not really Gibson’s fault. He knows how to shoot action sequences. The screenplay is instead all over the place, in a way that feels tired and halfhearted.”
Not all critics agree that it’s a total plane-wreck, however. The Hollywood Reporter’s Frank Scheck is one of the few to offer up a “Fresh” rating for the film. “You’ll be shaking your head at the sheer ludicrousness of it all,” he writes, “But it’s a pretty good bet that you haven’t once felt the desire to look at your phone.”
The Daily Telegraph’s Robbie Collin notes that the film’s plot is stupid but “it’s methodically, even artisanally stupid, built in accordance with the classic thriller rules. Every twist plays fair, no matter how outlandish.”
Emma Stefansky over at IGN is also upbeat about Flight Risk, writing “The character types are familiar and the story is simple, but there’s enough panache to keep it in the air right up until its explosive ending.”
It sounds pretty rough, and even the positive reviews note that there are a lot of problems with the humor, dialogue and voice-performances from characters off-screen, but I do genuinely hope that every airline includes this as an in-flight option going forward. And who knows? Maybe it’s fun, warts and all. It’s just a very peculiar choice for Mel Gibson.
And also, what on earth were they thinking with Mark Wahlberg’s hair? I don’t think this is how hairlines actually work.
Male pattern baldness takes a very disturbing turn.
Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg’s much-anticipated new movie ‘Flight Risk’ has officially crashed and burned on Rotten Tomatoes. The film, which was touted as a high-flying action-thriller, has been met with scathing reviews from critics and audiences alike.
Despite the star power of Gibson and Wahlberg, ‘Flight Risk’ failed to take off with viewers, earning a dismal 20% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have panned the film for its lackluster plot, wooden performances, and uninspired action sequences.
Many moviegoers have taken to social media to express their disappointment with ‘Flight Risk,’ with some calling it one of the worst films of the year. One Twitter user wrote, “I can’t believe I wasted my money on ‘Flight Risk.’ What a disaster of a movie.”
It seems that even the combined talents of Gibson and Wahlberg couldn’t save ‘Flight Risk’ from crashing and burning on Rotten Tomatoes. It looks like this film will be one that both actors will want to forget as quickly as possible.

Peacock doesn’t reveal data on viewership, but the show never appeared on any Nielsen top 10 most watched TV show list after it premiered last fall.
Soon after “Teacup” came out, the streaming service released another series shot in metro Atlanta “Hysteria!” set in the 1980s about demon forces that may be overtaking a town starring Julie Bowen, Anna Camp and Bruce Campbell. There is no word if that show is getting a second season, but that drama did receive stronger reviews than “Teacup.”
After much anticipation and excitement, the Peacock thriller series ‘Teacup’ has been cancelled after just one season. The show, which was shot and set in Georgia, failed to garner the viewership and critical acclaim needed to sustain it for further episodes.
‘Teacup’ followed the story of a small town detective who uncovers a web of corruption and deceit while investigating a series of mysterious disappearances. The show promised a gripping storyline, strong performances, and stunning visuals of the Georgia landscape.
Despite its potential, ‘Teacup’ struggled to find its audience and was ultimately unable to generate the buzz needed to keep it on the air. The cast and crew worked tirelessly to bring the story to life, but unfortunately, it was not enough to save the show from its untimely demise.
Fans of ‘Teacup’ are disappointed by the news of its cancellation, with many taking to social media to express their disappointment and frustration. However, they can take solace in the fact that the one season of ‘Teacup’ will forever be remembered for its thrilling storytelling and captivating performances.
As we bid farewell to ‘Teacup,’ we can only hope that the talented cast and crew behind the show will have the opportunity to bring their creative visions to life in future projects. Until then, we will cherish the memories of the short-lived but unforgettable series that was ‘Teacup.’

Novak Djokovic suffered a surprise 7-6 (6), 6-3 defeat to Reilly Opelka in the quarter-finals of the Brisbane International on Friday while the women’s No 1, Aryna Sabalenka, cruised into the semi-finals with a comfortable 6-3, 6-4 win over Marie Bouzkova.
Djokovic was punished for a flat, impotent performance as he struggled to impose himself against an excellent Opelka. The defeat marks another missed opportunity for Djokovic as he pursues a milestone 100th title. He will now head to Melbourne to complete preparations for the Australian Open, a much greater priority, where he will meet up with Andy Murray for their first tournament together.
Opelka, meanwhile, was inspired from the beginning of the match and held his composure in the final moments as he served out to love for the biggest win of his career. Opelka stands at 6ft 11in and the American boasts one of the biggest serves in the world, which he used superbly, firing 16 aces and facing only one break point throughout.
“He’s the greatest tennis player the sport has ever seen,” said Opelka. “It’s difficult being in that position. He can scout me and the other opponents all day long. The reality is we have nothing to lose coming in against him. He’s the greatest player ever so you end up playing more free and you end up going and taking a lot more risks because it’s your only chance.
“If you play your normal level or even above your level, he’s going to win every time. It’s tough in his position because he gets guys who are good players that roll the dice. On a day like this when all the things go my way, that’s how it works out.”
The victory marks a significant step forward for Opelka, who was off the ATP tour for almost two years between 2022 and 2024 after undergoing two wrist operations and a hip surgery. Having been ranked as highly as No 17 in 2022, Opelka is currently No 293 and entering tour-level tournaments with a protected ranking as he tries to return to the top levels of the sport consistently.
“It was tough,” he said. “A lot of months, there were a lot of doubts. I definitely watched a lot of my friends on the TV, I watched Tommy [Paul], Taylor [Fritz], Frances [Tiafoe] and Ben [Shelton] do great, which was fun but also motivating for me, it definitely kept me interested in the sport. I watched Novak become the greatest and then two years on, a lot of the time you find yourself wondering: ‘What would Novak do?’ in that situation.”
Sabalenka, meanwhile, has eased into the 2025 season with a string of solid performances before her Australian Open title defence next week. She has now won 26 of her past 27 matches in Australia, a run that includes two consecutive Australian Open titles, a WTA 500 title in Adelaide and a final last year in Brisbane. She is yet to drop a set in her first three matches this year.
after newsletter promotion
Sabalenka will face a much tougher challenge in Saturday’s semi-final against the in-form 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva, who defeated Ons Jabeur 6-4, 7-6 (2). Andreeva upset Sabalenka in the quarter-finals of last year’s French Open.
“We had great battles in the past and we played an exhibition together in Abu Dhabi so I got to know her a little better,” said Sabalenka. “Nice person, great player and I always have great battles against her.
Aggressive player, serving well, moving well, hitting the ball quite clean so it’s going to be a great battle against her.”
In a shocking turn of events, Novak Djokovic suffered a surprising defeat in the quarterfinals of the Brisbane International tournament. The world number one, who was the top seed in the tournament, was upset by an unseeded opponent in a three-set thriller.
On the other hand, Aryna Sabalenka continued her impressive run in Brisbane as she breezed through to the semifinals with a dominating performance. The Belarusian player, who is seeded second in the tournament, showcased her powerful game and proved why she is considered a rising star in the women’s tennis circuit.
Djokovic’s unexpected loss has certainly shaken up the competition in Brisbane, with fans and analysts left wondering what went wrong for the Serbian superstar. Meanwhile, Sabalenka’s strong showing has solidified her status as a contender for the title.
As the tournament progresses, all eyes will be on Sabalenka as she looks to continue her winning streak and claim the championship. Stay tuned for more updates on the Brisbane International and the latest developments in the world of tennis.
