  • 5 Things We Silently Cringe at in EPCOT

Disney World is incredible, but that doesn’t mean it’s without any cringe.

    EPCOT

No matter how hard you try to avoid them, uncomfortable moments are bound to happen at Disney World. Unfortunately, EPCOT is no exception, and there are 5 things we secretly cringe at when we visit.

Here are a few cringey things you need to look out for during your next trip to EPCOT!

People Who Can’t Handle Their Liquor

Let’s not beat around the bush: EPCOT is a popular tourist spot and it’s not just because of the top-tier attractions. The wide array of alcoholic options as well as the ability to drink around the world draw in adults far and wide.

Sour Beer and Sparkling Wine Cocktail

From festival booth offerings to sit-down restaurants, it’s really easy to get a cocktail or several at EPCOT, and many adults take advantage of this. Unfortunately, there are plenty of folks who participate but don’t know when to cut themselves off.

The lack of inhibition can often lead to sloppiness and bad behavior, and it’s likely that you’ll run into a least one person who fits this category during a trip to EPCOT.

    Blood Orange

As always, we recommend cutting yourself off, staying hydrated, and drinking responsibly when deciding to drink at this Disney theme park. At the end of the day, EPCOT is tailored to be a kid-friendly experience — let’s all work together to maintain that standard.

Hearing Smack Talk Against Living with the Land

We understand that everyone has their favorite attractions and Living with the Land isn’t the most popular. But it’s wonderful, informative, our sweet baby, and deserves some respect.

    Living with the Land

What the ride lacks in thrills it makes up for in spades in relaxation and uniqueness.

Walt’s House in Living With The Land

Highlighting the importance of sustainability, this attraction serves a real purpose and doesn’t deserve any smack.

    Christmas baubles

It also has an adorable holiday overlay, so, ya, know…cut it some slack. You know the saying: If you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing at all.

CommuniCore Hall and Plaza During Non-Festivals

When they opened in 2024, CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza did so to controversy.

    CommuniCore Hall

Guests had mixed reactions, with many confused and let down by how basic the space was, feeling it wasn’t doing nearly enough.

Unfortunately, we kinda get it. While CommuniCore Hall and Plaza get dolled up for the festivals, it still feels like there is a ton of untapped potential.

This area is still pretty fresh though, so there’s plenty of time for Disney to rectify the situation.

    The Pricing at Space 220

Our enthusiasm to eat a meal 220 miles up in space was through the roof when Space 220 was announced. Then we saw the prices…

    Space 220

Offering prix fixe meals, Space 220 charges $55 per person for lunch and $79 per person for dinner. Unfortunately, the food is just ok and doesn’t justify the costs. After our initial experience, it’s safe to say we were a bit shocked.

Once again, Space 220 has plenty of room to improve, and we won’t be surprised if it does.

In the meantime, visit the Space 220 Lounge for lighter fare (and lighter spending).

    Long Wait Times

Sorry folks, waiting is gonna happen at EPCOT whether you like it or not. The E-Ticket rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Frozen Ever After do NUMBERS.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

You can help your cause with Lightning Lanes and virtual queues, but unless you use a Premier Pass, you’re going to likely have to wait a while for some ride.

You could also do multiple days to maximize your chances of getting on everything, as well as prioritizing your favorite attractions.

    YIKES!

All in all, it’s never a bad idea to practice patience.

And there you have it! Let us know some cringey things you’ve seen at EPCOT and continue to follow us here at AllEars for all the latest Disney World updates!

Share some things that make you uncomfortable at EPCOT in the comments below!

    1. People who mispronounce "EPCOT" – It’s not "Epcot" or "Epcot Center," it’s simply "EPCOT." Hearing guests say it wrong can make us cringe every time.
    2. Guests who don’t appreciate the World Showcase – EPCOT’s World Showcase is a unique and immersive experience, but some guests seem to rush through it without truly taking in all the sights, sounds, and flavors. It’s a shame to see people miss out on such a special part of the park.
    3. Overly picky eaters at the food and wine festivals – EPCOT’s food and wine festivals are a highlight for many guests, but it can be cringe-worthy to see someone turn up their nose at the diverse and delicious offerings. It’s all about trying new things and expanding your palate!
    4. Parents who let their children run wild – EPCOT is a family-friendly park, but it’s important for parents to keep an eye on their kids and make sure they’re respectful of other guests. Nothing makes us cringe more than seeing children causing chaos and disrupting the magic for others.
    5. Guests who treat the Cast Members poorly – EPCOT Cast Members work hard to create a magical experience for guests, so it’s disheartening to see people treat them with disrespect or rudeness. Remember, kindness goes a long way in making everyone’s day at EPCOT a little brighter.

  • Wheel of Fortune fans ‘cringe’ over Ryan Seacrest’s outfits in ‘tight’ wardrobe blunder

Since Ryan Seacrest has taken the reins from Pat Sajak as the host of Wheel of Fortune, he’s been fitting into the role quite well , though not everyone thinks the same about his wardrobe.

A certain Reddit thread is brimming with opinions about the 50 year old’s choice of attire for his appearances on the iconic ABC game show. Typically clad in a suit complemented by a tie and dress shoes, Ryan presents himself dapperly, but fans have pointed out some issues with how his clothes fit.

Despite looking sharp, viewers feel there’s something off about the fit of his ensembles.

“I watch this show every night with my mom and I’m starting to believe the contestants dress themselves better than the person who dresses Ryan Seacrest. His clothes almost always look tight on him. Is it just me or do other people notice this?” lamented Redditor @JimNasium1964, reports the Express US .

The sentiment isn’t isolated, a user responding: “A retired tailor here. Cringe,” adding: “It’s kind of like the daisy dukes of suits.” Another person commented: “Does look ridoculous. hes 50 trying to look 21.” A third person wrote: “He definitely has questionable outfits.”

A user suggested the issue might be mainly with Ryan’s stylist, stating: “Definitely need a new wardrobe person.”

In contrast, a user speculated on Ryan’s preference for the snug fits, commenting: “With the regularity with which it happens, it can’t be just random chance poor costuming. It’s gotta be the way he likes it.”

Nonetheless, there are those who stand by the game show host amidst the critiques.

A viewer threw their support behind the show’s new host, revealing: “I like the way he dresses. It’s not the suit and tie look in every single episode. His clothes have a European style to them with the tighter shorter pants. It takes me back to how young men dressed in the 60’s.”

Additionally, they commended Ryan’s approach to hosting, stating: “He’s nice to contestants and not mean and snarky like Sajak was.”

Ryan stepped into the spotlight as the host, replacing the well-known Pat, who is 78, on Monday, September 9, 2024, joining Vanna White, a veteran co-host since 1983. Pat announced his decision to retire from the beloved game show in 2023.

Viewers took to social media to express their discomfort with Seacrest’s tight attire, with many commenting on the snug fit of his pants and shirt. Some fans even joked that they could see every contour of his body, leading to an awkward viewing experience.

  • Family Feud viewers slam ‘cringe’ producers over ‘wild’ survey question: ‘What a smut show’

A recent episode of Family Feud has viewers calling out its suggestive survey questions.

Family Feud shared a clip from the episode on YouTube in a video captioned with a rather peculiar question.

“Fellas, your mother-in-law did what to your bottom??” it read.

In the clip, two opponents went head-to-head at the podium as host Steve Harvey informed them that their team of surveyors asked 100 married men to provide them with responses.

The question that followed wasn’t one anybody expected: “What would you be surprised your mother-in-law just did to your bottom?”

Despite the question’s bawdy nature, the contestants played along as if they weren’t fazed.

Family Feud viewers rant and rave over ‘gross’ survey questions

In the comments section of the YouTube video, Family Feud fans weren’t shy about expressing their distaste for the question.

One YouTube user felt Family Feud producers were “trying to shock Steve with these questions.

Family Feud viewers were left outraged after a recent episode featured a survey question that many deemed inappropriate and cringe-worthy.

The question in question asked contestants to guess the top responses to the prompt: “What is something you wouldn’t want to catch your parents doing?” The options included things like “fighting,” “naked,” and “having sex.”

Viewers took to social media to express their shock and disgust at the suggestive nature of the question, with many calling the show a “smut show” and criticizing the producers for crossing a line.

One Twitter user wrote, “Family Feud has officially gone too far with this question. What a smut show. Disgusting.” Another viewer commented, “I can’t believe they aired that question. It’s just cringe-worthy and completely inappropriate.”

While Family Feud is known for its sometimes risqué survey questions, this latest one seemed to have struck a nerve with many viewers who felt that it went too far. Whether or not the producers will address the backlash remains to be seen, but it’s clear that some fans are not happy with the direction the show is taking.
