Throughout Season 9 of RHOP, Karen made it seem like she’d be vindicated in her DUI court case. Instead, she got hit with a guilty verdict and the public release of the body cam footage that she didn’t want anyone to see. On WWHL, Ashley shared her thoughts on the mess.
Andy Cohen asked, “What was your reaction to Karen’s DUI verdict and video that came out and everything?”
“Pure shock, Andy,” Ashley replied. “We had actually seen Karen’s lawyer out and about a few weeks before.”
The “Healing and Thriving” singer explained that she was out with Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant when they bumped into the lawyer. He reassured the ladies that everything would work out in Karen’s favor once they had her day in court. That prediction aged like milk, and now Ashley is confused.
“We thought they had this in the bag,” Ashley admitted. “We thought they knew what they were doing.”
She continued, “When that footage aired, and we saw everything that transpired, we wondered, ‘How on Earth did they decide to go to trial?’”
According to Ashley, something isn’t adding up, and it might be a while before we get any answers from Karen. She was a no-show at the Season 9 reunion, and her reps confirmed that she checked into a rehab program.
