Thirty years later, director Floyd Russ (American Manhunt: Boston Marathon Bombing, Untold: Malice at the Palace) reexamines one of the most-discussed true-crime stories in history in the four-part docuseries American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson. “This is a story that has so many faces and so many elements that when you contextualize it historically it takes on a new form every few years,” Russ says.
The series features new interviews with many of the key figures from the investigation and trial, such asformer LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman, multiple witnesses including Kato Kaelin, attorneys for the defense and prosecution in Carl Douglas and Christopher Darden respectively, and Goldman’s sister Kim. “Our interview subjects have a power to reflect in a new way with the passage of 30 years,” says Russ of his conversations. “Their emotions have evolved, and the way they’re able to talk about it is different than they ever have before. That sense of reflection from the people involved was apparent from the get-go, which made us feel that this story was one that needed to be told in a new and different way.”

Once again, the Big Easy will host the most-watched television program this year as the Super Bowl returns to New Orleans.
When Super Bowl 59 kicks off on Feb. 9, New Orleans will have hosted the big game for a record-tying 11th time, with the Caesars Superdome hosting for the eighth time, the most of any stadium. Miami has also hosted the Super Bowl 11 times.
The last Super Bowl in New Orleans was Super Bowl XLVII, which was played on Feb. 3, 2013, between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. The “Harbaugh Bowl” featured two brothers coaching against each other: Jim with the 49ers and John with the Ravens.
The game was notable because of a power outage in the stadium in the third quarter, with the Ravens leading 28–6 and leading to a 30-minute delay in the game. San Francisco rallied in the fourth quarter but fell short, losing 34-31, giving Baltimore its second Super Bowl championship.

The 67th annual Grammy Awards will still take place Sunday, Feb. 2, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles — though the Recording Academy has refocused its aim to support relief efforts following the devastating Los Angeles-area wildfires.

When does the Grammys start and how can I watch?
The main show will air live on CBS and Paramount+ beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern. Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers can also watch live and on demand.
How do I stream the Grammys?
The Grammys can also be watched through live TV streaming services that include CBS in their lineup, like Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV and FuboTV.
Paramount+ subscribers will be able to stream the Grammy Awards the day after the ceremony.

How will the Los Angeles-area wildfires affect the Grammys?
The 2025 Grammy Awards will go on as planned but will focus its attention on wildfire relief efforts.
Each year, the Recording Academy hosts a multitude of events to welcome the music industry during Grammy week; record labels do the same. However, many institutions have canceled their plans — Universal Music Group, BMG and Warner Music Group among them — and instead are allocating resources to Los Angeles-area wildfire relief and rebuilding efforts.
On Wednesday, the Recording Academy announced it had condensed pre-Grammy week plans to just four events, each featuring a fundraising element.
Events like the annual pre-Grammy Black Music Collective event, Grammy advocacy brunch, and others scheduled to take place at the immersive pop-up Grammy house have been canceled. In all, at least 16 pre-Grammy events sponsored by the Recording Academy have been canceled.
“We understand how devastating this past week has been on this city and its people. This is our home, it’s home to thousands of music professionals, and many of us have been negatively impacted,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. said in a statement.
Last week, the Recording Academy and MusiCares launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort with a $1 million donation. According to the letter, thanks to additional contributions, they’ve already distributed $2 million in emergency aid.
How is the broader music industry responding to the fires?
Universal Music Group, one of the big three major record labels, has canceled all of its Grammy-related events. Those include its annual artist showcase, held on Saturday, and its after-party on the Sunday of Grammy week. Instead, it will redirect those funds to wildfire relief.
BMG will no longer host its pre-Grammy party and a representative for Warner Music Group confirmed to The Associated Press that the major label will not host a party this year and are instead “redirecting funds to support efforts.” Earlier this week, WMG and the Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund pledged $1 million to Los Angeles area fire relief and rebuilding efforts.
Sony Music Group confirmed it has canceled its events during Grammy week and after the ceremony and will instead redirect efforts and money to local relief efforts.
MusiCares, an organization that helps music professionals who need financial, personal or medical assistance, holds its annual Persons of the Year benefit gala at the Los Angeles Convention Center a few days before the Grammys. The 2025 gala will still take place on Jan. 31, this year honoring the Grateful Dead with an additional commitment to wildfire relief.
“At our upcoming Persons of the Year, we will make a special appeal for donations to support our wildfire relief efforts,” according to an email sent by the Recording Academy to its members on Tuesday.

Landman, super-producer Taylor Sheridan‘s oil industry drama, wrapped up its first season in January. While Paramount+ has not officially renewed the hit series for Season 2, we fully expect it to return, especially because the end of Season 1 left everything unresolved.
The season finale left our Michelob Ultra-swigging, highly imperfect hero Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) in several pickles he’ll have to get out of in Season 2. Following the death of his boss, Monty Miller (Jon Hamm), from a heart attack, Tommy is now the president of M-Tex Oil, a job he did not want. He has to complete negotiations on an exploratory drilling deal Monty was putting together that will bankrupt the company if it doesn’t work out, and he has to do it alongside Rebecca (Kayla Wallace), an attorney he does not trust.
On top of that, he has to deal with the drug cartel that’s moving product across M-Tex’s land. Gallino (Andy Garcia) — Tommy’s new, affably menacing point of contact — wants his new “friend” Tommy to help him get the cartel into the oil business, and managing that not-exactly-consensual relationship will be a huge headache for Tommy.
Plus, Tommy’s (ex)wife Angela (Ali Larter) is high maintenance, his daughter Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) is a handful, and his son Cooper (Jacob Lofland) is in a physically and emotionally dangerous relationship with Ariana (Paulina Chávez), the grieving widow of his dead oil field coworker.
Tommy has a lot on his plate — french fries and mashed potatoes, you could say — and he’ll surely get even more problems added to his pile when Landman returns. Here’s everything we know so far about a potential Season 2.
Has Landman been renewed for Season 2?
Paramount+ has not officially ordered a second season yet. But the streaming service says the show is its most-watched original to date, a claim backed up by its high placement on the Nielsen streaming chart. Paramount has yet to cancel any of Sheridan’s shows, and it seems safe to assume Landman won’t be the first.
In fact, though Paramount+ hasn’t announced anything yet, a second season may already be in the works. In May 2024, months before Season 1 premiered, Landman star Demi Moore told Deadline that she expected to start filming Season 2 in early 2025. “I’ve already completed the first season and I’m excited for us to start the second which will be at the beginning of next year,” she said. Again, nothing is officially, publicly confirmed yet, but we’re 99% sure Landman Season 2 will happen.

It’s hard to predict premiere dates for Taylor Sheridan shows. There are so many factors at play — A-list actor schedules, weather, Sheridan’s mercurial creative process — that it’s easier to just say you’ll see it when it’s ready. But if Landman does in fact go back into production in early 2025, the break between seasons won’t be very long. Lioness, another of Sheridan’s Paramount+ shows, which is arguably an even more complex production than Landman, only took 15 months between Seasons 1 and 2, even with the writers and actors strikes of 2023. So if Demi Moore is correct, we would expect to see Landman Season 2 in late 2025 or early 2026.

Jon Hamm only signed on for one season and will not be returning to Landman. It would be strange if he did, as his character Monty died during open heart surgery. “You don’t come back from that,” Hamm told USA Today. “He’s no longer with us.”
Hamm also hinted that Demi Moore, who didn’t do much in Season 1, will have a much bigger role in Season 2. “It’s pretty cool that Taylor said to (Moore), ‘Trust me, I’m going to take care of you. This will be worth your while.’ To say the least,” Hamm said. “Cami’s got so much room to grow and show who she really is. It’s going to be fascinating to watch.”

Landman is based on a Texas Monthly podcast called Boomtown. Boomtown, which ran for 12 episodes between 2019 and 2020, features in-depth reporting on the oil industry in the Permian Basin, America’s most productive oilfield. Boomtown was named one of the 50 best podcasts of 2020 by The Atlantic.
Boomtown was reported, written, and hosted by journalist Christian Wallace, who is the co-creator of Landman alongside Sheridan. Wallace previously worked as a roughneck and as an editor at Texas Monthly.
He told Deadline that some of Landman is “very accurate” about what it’s like to work in the oil and gas industry, while other elements were embellished for the sake of drama and creating compelling characters. “And it’s funny, it depends on who you ask,” he said. “My uncle who works in the oil field for the last 30 years will nitpick every little thing. But I think for the most part, it’s safe to say you get a decent sense of what it’s like working in oil and gas out there.”

Where will the Super Bowl be played?
New Orleans will host the Super Bowl this year. It is the eighth time the Big Game will take place in the Caesars Superdome in the stadium’s 50-year history, more than any other NFL stadium.
Initially, in 2018, the Superdome was chosen as the host stadium for last year’s Super Bowl. After the NFL expanded its regular season to 17 games in 2020, the original date of the Big Game in 2024 was pushed back one week, which would have interfered with Mardi Gras celebrations in the Big Easy. As a result, the NFL moved Super Bowl 58 to Las Vegas and pushed New Orleans’ host status back one year.
It’s been 12 years since the Superdome last hosted a Super Bowl. The San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens squared off in New Orleans in 2013, the year that the game was delayed partway through when, infamously, the stadium lights went out early in the second half. Baltimore came out on top in Super Bowl 47, 34-31.
Jay-Z-founded entertainment company Roc Nation, along with the NFL and Apple Music, announced Lamar would be this year’s Super Bowl halftime show performer on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, the same day as Week 1’s Sunday slate of games. Lamar also posted a YouTube video to help promote the news.
The 37-year-old Los Angeles native previously performed during the Super Bowl halftime show in Los Angeles in 2022, alongside other hip-hop artists Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, among others. It’s possible that Lamar performs with other artists in this halftime show as well, but he will be the main act.

The RT Critics Consensus reads, “Echoing its predecessor while upping the bloodsport and camp, Gladiator II is an action extravaganza that derives much of its strength and honor from Denzel Washington’s scene-stealing performance.”
In addition, audiences gave Gladiator II an 82% “fresh” rating on RT’s Popcornmeter based on 10,000-plus verified user ratings.

Once again, the Big Easy will host the most-watched television program this year as the Super Bowl returns to New Orleans.
When Super Bowl 59 kicks off on Feb. 9, New Orleans will have hosted the big game for a record-tying 11th time, with the Caesars Superdome hosting for the eighth time, the most of any stadium. Miami has also hosted the Super Bowl 11 times.
The last Super Bowl in New Orleans was Super Bowl XLVII, which was played on Feb. 3, 2013, between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. The “Harbaugh Bowl” featured two brothers coaching against each other: Jim with the 49ers and John with the Ravens.
The game was notable because of a power outage in the stadium in the third quarter, with the Ravens leading 28–6 and leading to a 30-minute delay in the game. San Francisco rallied in the fourth quarter but fell short, losing 34-31, giving Baltimore its second Super Bowl championship.
