There were some doubts over if he would be fit, but he’s up and running in Melbourne.

As it stands, Draper is currently ranked as the 18th-best men’s singles player in the world.

This sees him above the likes of Ben Shelton and Arthur Fils, while he is comfortably the British number one.

This means Draper is seeded for the Australian Open, along with Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Sinner.

Draper is the 15th seed but has needed five sets to see off his opponents in the first two rounds.

First, he beat Argentina’s Mariano Navone, who is the world No.47 and was making his Australian Open debut, 4-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

And in the second round he beat Australian home favourite and world No.71 Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-7, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Draper will now take on another Aussie in the form of Aleksandar Vukic who is ranked 68 in the world.

That match will be held on Friday at the Margaret Court Arena and play is expected to begin at 9:30am UK time.

Should Draper win, he will face four-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz in the fourth round.

Alcaraz beat Nuno Borges in four sets to make it through.

Draper conjured the spirit of Andy Murray to claw his way back from the brink of defeat against Kokkinakis.

Two years ago, Murray famously recovered from two sets and a break down against Kokkinakis to win a second-round match that finished at 4.05am.

Asked by John McEnroe in his on-court interview how he had pulled off the comeback, Draper said: “I don’t know, it was a really tough match. Thanasi is an unbelievable player, someone I have great respect for.

“I’m really proud of the way I competed today and I eventually came through. I’m very happy about that.

“I’m getting better each set and I’m really proud of the way I’m going about my tennis.

“I didn’t know if I was going to be fit to come here. I know that my tennis is improving, this match would have really helped me again.

Fortnite Godzilla x Kong event release date, time and how to take down a Titan | Gaming | Entertainment

Fortnite developer Epic Games has confirmed plans to hold a special Godzilla x Kong in-game event.

Just days after the release of update 33.20, Epic Games has detailed the brand new crossover event, which will be available on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Android.

The Godzilla x Kong Titan Takedown event has a January 17 release date. There’s no official launch time, but expect the festivities to kick off at around 2pm GMT UK time.

As you can see from the trailer below, players can potentially cause chaos and take out the opposition by transforming into Godzilla and using its unique powers.

In order to become the titan, you’ll need to be the first player to discover a random portal and jump through.

Epic explains more: “Starting January 17, there’s a small chance for a portal to appear on the Battle Royale map.

“The first player to find and jump through it will emerge as the colossal titan Godzilla, who can Roar to reveal nearby players, send others flying with a Mighty Stomp Attack, and lay waste to players and structures with Heat Ray.”

In order to even the odds and give regular players a fighting chance, a number of powerful weapons and items will be available on the map.

This includes the unvaulted Rail Gun, as well as the defensive Shield Bubble item.

According to Epic Games, the player who deals the most damage to Godzilla will gain the Godzilla Medallion and the Burst Quad Launcher.

Battle Pass owners can complete quests in order to grab the Godzilla Exo-Spine Back Bling, the Crystal Fang Pickaxe, the Mothra Glider, and the Lil’ Godzilla Attack Emote.  If you complete all the Quests, you’ll unlock Godzilla Evolved’s Energized Godzilla Style.

There will also be a selection of items in the shop, such as the Mechagodzilla and Kong Bundle, which includes the reactive Mechagodzilla Outfit, as well as the Proton Drill Pickaxe, Kong’s Battle Axe Pickaxe, Proton Exo-Boosters Back Bling, B.E.A.S.T. Armorplate Back Bling, Roar Power Wrap, Cybernetic Scream Wrap and B.E.A.S.T. Glove Emote.

HomePod mini first came on the scene in late 2020, over four years ago. It brought many of the features of the full-size HomePod in a smaller, more affordable $99 package.

Since then, besides ongoing software updates, HomePod mini’s only change has been the addition of new color options.

But according to Mark Gurman, this is the year HomePod mini 2 finally arrives.

In his big overview of Apple’s 2025 product release plans, Mark Gurman shared that HomePod mini 2 is “planned for release toward the end of the year.”

A late 2025 release is also when Apple’s expected to ship its new Apple TV 4K.

So we’re looking at a spring debut for the brand new ‘HomePad’ product, then HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV 4K near the end of the year.

This probably means October or November debuts.

September is always packed enough already, and this year that will be especially true with the iPhone 17 Air and 17 Pro, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Series 11, and AirPods Pro 3.

But with those launches out of the way, Apple’s calendar clears up with only an M5 MacBook Pro and possibly M5 iPad Pro set to debut.

Throw in a couple of upgraded Home products, and you have a great hypothetical October event.

Dragon Ball Daima episode #13 will be starting in an interesting spot, as both Vegeta and Majin Duu emerged victorious in their Tamagami battles, earning them each the right to a Dragon Ball. With the Dragon Balls all earned, where will the story of Daima head next?

Episode #12 of Dragon Ball Daima picked up exactly where episode #11 left off, with Vegeta forced to deal with the Kraken trying to eat him at the same time as his challenge to Tamagami Number Two. Vegeta managed to overpower the Kraken’s attempts to eat him, blasting his way out of the creature’s mouth with intense energy beams. Majin Duu, meanwhile, nearly blew his lead against Tamagami Number One, demanding chocolate mid-battle. Majin Kuu managed to obtain that chocolate quickly and keep his brother in the fight, enabling him to overpower the Tamagami.

New episodes of Dragon Ball Daima premiere on Crunchyroll on Fridays at 8:45 AM Pacific Time, or 11:45 AM Eastern Time. However, the series is taking one week off for New Year’s. Thus, fans can expect episode #13 to air on January 10, 2025, at 8:45 AM PT/11:45 AM ET. Because of the premiere being so close to the Japanese airing time, episodes will initially be available only in Japanese with subtitles. An English dub of Dragon Ball Daima is being produced, and will also debut on January 10, 2025, on Crunchyroll, although the first three dubbed episodes did have a sneak peek event on November 10-12, 2024.

While Vegeta battled against Tamagami Number Two, the newly created Majin Duu was almost simultaneously squaring off with Tamagami Number One. The two battles looked very little alike; Majin Duu made use of his Buu-like flexibility and durability, while Vegeta aimed more for raw power, and constantly had to deal with being submerged in the water. It took a while for Vegeta to start gaining the upper hand, but once he dramatically transformed into Super Saiyan 3 for the first time on screen, he was easily able to overpower the Tamagami and declare victory.

Majin Duu, however, nearly had a disaster when his sudden desire for chocolate struck mid-battle, prompting him to stop fighting until chocolate was obtained. However, Majin Duu was also ultimately able to claim victory over the Tamagami, and moved on to the secondary challenge, which was mental arithmetic. Fortunately, Majin Kuu’s keen mind was able to calculate the total with ease, slipping the answer to his brother quietly and securing the Dragon Ball for Arinsu. Vegeta’s secondary challenge, on the other hand, was a word problem with a trick answer, but he similarly conquered it, earning a second Dragon Ball for Goku’s group.

What to Expect in Dragon Ball Daima Episode #13

Goku and Vegeta Deal with Some Super-Sized Wildlife

Episode #13 of Dragon Ball Daima is entitled “Surprise,” and based on the preview, it’s shaping up to be a weird episode. Goku was shown sliding down a large vine covered with massive thorns, and then a stampede of fluffy-looking, rodent-like creatures is seen charging at Goku and Vegeta, who appear shocked. It’s not clear yet if these new dangers are part of the First Demon World, or if they’re still in the Second Demon World, but the environment is still a challenge they’ll have to overcome if they’re to restore things back to normal.

The preview also showed Arinsu studying the One-Star Dragon Ball after obtaining it and trying to decide her next move. With Glorio still acting as her double agent, Arinsu may well be aware that the Z-Fighters have managed to obtain the Two-Star Dragon Ball, and thus knows that all three Dragon Balls are currently available for the taking. What she may not know, however, is that there’s a Namekian password on the Dragon Balls, and that using them won’t be as easy as simply owning all three of them at the same time.

One thing is for sure, though: Arinsu’s machinations are known to Gomah now, and there’s no telling how the current Demon King will respond to her treachery. He doesn’t seem to possess any fighters who could hope to challenge Majin Duu in a fight, but he also hardly seems the type to just let her keep going without interfering somehow. Episode #13 of Dragon Ball Daima definitely marks an interesting turning point for the story, so fans would do well to tune in.

While Netflix has established that season 3 of Squid Game is coming in 2025 in multiple promos for its content in the coming year, they may have accidentally let the exact date slip.

Netflix Korea briefly had a video go live that didn’t just have the 2025 release date, but a specific date, June 27, 2025. That would be just six months from now, essentially record time in releasing a new season of a huge show, especially when it took three years to get from season 1 to season 2.

However, if you’ve watched season 2 and heard anything that creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has said about this, you’ll know that this is more or less Part 2 of Season 2, rather than a season 3 in a more traditional sense. Here’s what happened:

“No other particular reason than that I originally envisioned it as a single series, so both seasons two and three as a single series when I was writing it. But then, as I wrote the story along, it became to be too many episodes and too long of a story because you see Gi-hun’s journey where he returns to the game, but also he goes through a revolt, and that is actually the climax of that storyline, where he tries to create an uprising, but then that all goes to failure.”

“And I also saw that aspect of it as yet another game as well, and so I thought that we would divide it into two seasons to have that – Gi-hun’s revolt going into a failure, him ending up losing his best friend, that itself being yet another important climatic event in the first half of the season, so into season two.”

Production on both seasons happened all at once, so part of this three year gap was Hwang making a giant 14 episode arc that was split into two seasons. While Netflix has been doing a “split a new season of a popular series in half” release schedule a lot of the time as of late, that’s usually 4 and 4 or 5 and 5 and a month or so apart. Here, six months apart, with seven hour long episodes each? Sure, I guess I’ll give them the “season 3” badge in this case.

Why so soon? Well, again, I think Netflix knows that people clearly want the cliffhangers of season 2 resolved sooner rather than later, but also the way they’re spacing out content means they probably want the second half of 2025 devoted to its other two massive shows, the final season of Stranger Things, season 5, and season 2 of Wednesday, its two most-watched English series of all time, with Squid Game being its most-watched overall. It is going to be an absolutely huge year for Netflix due to how all this is lining up.

Update (1/3): To lend further credence to this idea that Squid Game season 3 will be released on June 27, we can go to the potential, estimated release dates of Stranger Things season 5 and Wednesday season 2, which I’ve already calculated before this using past filming data extrapolated forward.

  • For instance, filming wrapped for Stranger Things season 5 in December 2024. Using past timing for season 4, that should be eight months of post-production, putting the release in August 2025, though with a bigger season, perhaps closer to October 2025, a good distance from Squid Game season 3.
  • For Wednesday season 2, there are two main options. Using the same calculation with filming wrapped, the release window is probably somewhere in July 2025, which would be right after Squid Game season 3 airs. However, if Netflix wanted to space the show out more and release it closer to when the first season came out, November 23, 2022, that may be the more likely plan, even if it fully extends the gap between seasons to three years. Fans have waited this long, so what’s a bit more?

My final guess is Squid Game in June, Stranger Things in September/October and Wednesday in November/December of 2025. We’ll see if I’m right, but I do think I’m probably going to end up being pretty close. Regardless, it’s about to be a truly enormous year for Netflix.

What is Kawhi Leonard’s injury?

Leonard is dealing with inflammation in his right knee, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania and Ohm Youngmisuk. Leonard’s designation on the NBA’s official injury report is “right knee injury management.”

The issue plagued Leonard to close the 2023-24 season, limited him during the 2024 NBA Playoffs, prevented him from playing in the Olympics and kept him from participating during training camp and the preseason.

Leonard last played in an NBA game on April 26, 2024, Game 3 of LA’s first-round playoff loss to Dallas.

Before the injury setback, the 2023-24 season was a big one for Leonard. Over 68 games, he averaged 23.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 52.5 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from 3-point range.
