  • Court Sets First Hearing Date in Blake Lively Justin Baldoni Feud

Blake Lively has moved to depose a key player whose crisis management firm Street Relations allegedly played a part in the smear campaign initiated by Justin Baldoni.

Lively filed a petition in Texas state court on Jan. 21 seeking a court order for a deposition of Jed Wallace, who was named in the complaint the actress filed with the California Civil Rights Department but not the lawsuit she filed in federal court. The filing is intended to obtain testimony for use in an anticipated complaint or to investigate a potential claim in ongoing litigation.

Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni accused Wallace of weaponizing a digital army to create and promote content that appeared to be authentic on social media platforms and internet chat forums. Baldoni’s public relations team that allegedly orchestrated the campaign to undermine the actress would then feed pieces of the manufactured content to reporters, with the goal of making it go viral in order to “influence public opinion and thereby cause an organic pile-on.”

Wallace — who described himself as a “hired gun” and purported to have a “proprietary formula for defining artists and trends,” per the complaint — was retained on behalf of Baldoni and his company Wayfarer, who also brought on veteran crisis PR exec Melissa Nathan of The Agency Group (Nathan is named in Lively’s lawsuit). Lively detailed efforts by Wallace to “seed and influence online forums” on Reddit attacking her and defending Baldoni.

And in a decision that signals it could be receptive to a gag order against Baldoni’s legal team, a New York federal judge moved up a hearing to address an escalating request from Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, to bar Bryan Freedman, the lawyer for the It Ends With Us star and director, from trying the litigation in the press and biasing potential jurors.

U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman ordered that a pretrial hearing set for Feb. 11 be moved up to Feb. 3 hours after Lively and Reynolds’ legal team sent a second letter alleging Freedman continues to violate court rules by making certain comments to the media on behalf of Baldoni and Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer, among other tactics. Lively and Reynolds are represented by Manatt, Phelps & Phillips and Willkie Farr & Gallagher, who first asked for a gag order last week.

“The endless stream of defamatory and extrajudicial media statements must end. It will not stop without this court’s intervention,” states the Monday filing from Lively. “The Wayfarer Defendants’ efforts are being financed by a billionaire, who has pledged to spend $100 million to ruin the lives of Ms. Lively and her family. Mr. Freedman is using that money, his roster of current and former clients, and a blatant media and social media strategy to assassinate Ms. Lively’s character in advance of trial.”

The actress-producer is accusing Baldoni of alleged sexual harassment on the set of the film, as well as orchestrating a smear campaign following the film’s release. Baldoni later filed his own complaint against the actress and husband Reynolds, seeking at least $400 million in damages.

Liman also revealed that the court plans to consolidate the separate lawsuits and set a March 9, 2026, trial date.

Monday’s letter to Liman from Lively and Reynolds’ legal team was sparked by a lengthy statement Freedman provided to TMZ and other media outlets on Jan. 25, including that “when you accuse innocent individuals of something so disturbing as sexual harassment without thinking of the destruction it would cause to not only them, but the entire domestic violence community, this is where accountability for such mean-spirited actions must be taken. We will always respect the court; however, we will never be bullied by those suggesting we cannot defend our clients with pure, unedited facts.”

Counsel for Baldoni and his associates have repeatedly argued that the unfolding events have been “utterly calamitous” for Baldoni and his company Wayfarer, which is backed by billionaire Steve Sarowitz, and that they have been “exiled from polite society” and suffered damages “totaling hundreds of millions of dollars due to Ms. Lively’s scorched-earth media campaign.”

Meanwhile, Lively and Reynolds’ lawyers are also taking issue with a planned website that Baldoni will use to bolster his case by providing certain video, along with text and email exchanges. Lively’s lawyers argue there will be no way of knowing what he has omitted, or even deleted. “Mr. Freedman has made it apparent that he is engaging in this extrajudicial campaign to influence these proceedings and the public perception of legal filings to this Court, and there already is a serious risk that his misconduct is tainting the jury pool. He further has made it clear that his priority is to ‘torpedo Blake Lively’s career for good’ by, among other things, creating a website to release strategically selected documents and communications between Lively and Baldoni,” stated the Monday filing.

Freedman also represents Baldoni in a separate lawsuit against The New York Times, which published a detailed story about Lively’s time on the set of It Ends With Us. The film was financed by Wayfarer and distributed by Sony.

Responding to Monday’s letter filed on behalf of Lively and Reynolds, Freedman said, “The irony continues to be rich for team Lively/Reynolds. Our intention with the upcoming website is to do the exact opposite of what they themselves did when they gave provably false information to the New York Times. We will not be selective, we will not cherry-pick and we will not doctor text messages. Both Ms. Lively and Mr Reynolds do not yet understand that there isn’t one rule for them and one rule for everybody else. If they want to unethically gag the truth by threatening to wield their power in Hollywood, we will fight it every step of the way. We are not scared of them, we will not be silenced by them. Defending ourselves is not retaliation, it is a human right.”

“If Mr. Freedman’s conduct is permitted, it will only result in an arms race of selective public disclosures of text messages to the media,” Michael Gottlieb, a lawyer for Lively, writes in the letter. “The Wayfarer parties initiated their own claims in multiple lawsuits against multiple parties, and in doing so, had a full and unencumbered opportunity to include in their pleadings any and all text messages or other context they believed supported their claims.”

The long-standing feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is finally heading to court, as a judge has set the first hearing date for the highly publicized dispute.

The feud between the two Hollywood stars has been making headlines for months, with both parties publicly airing their grievances against each other on social media and in interviews. The root of the feud remains unclear, but rumors suggest it may be related to a professional disagreement or personal conflict.

Fans of both Lively and Baldoni have been eagerly awaiting a resolution to the feud, and the upcoming court hearing is sure to shed light on the nature of their dispute. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

  • Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni get March 2026 trial date for her ‘It Ends With Us’ lawsuit

NEW YORK (AP) — A New York judge set a March 2026 trial date on Monday and moved an initial conference from mid-February to next week as the public feud between Blake Lively and her “It Ends With Us” costar and director Justin Baldoni continued to grow and accelerate.

And in a new and separate front in the series of legal battles surrounding the film that became a surprise hit last summer, Lively in a Texas court filed a request for a deposition of a man she says was central to turning online sentiment against her during its release and promotion.

The New York federal judge, Lewis J. Liman, told both sides in an order late Monday to prepare for a March 9, 2026, trial.

He also moved an initial conference from mid-February to next week and told lawyers to be prepared to address complaints about pretrial publicity and attorney conduct.

Liman took the actions after Lively’s lawyers claimed in a filing on Monday that an attorney for Baldoni was trying to taint potential jurors over lawsuits the actors have filed against each other.

The lawyers said Baldoni’s attorney was trying to wreck Lively’s career and turn potential New York jurors against her by creating a website to release selected documents and communications between Lively and Baldoni.

The lawyers said attorney Bryan Freedman, representing Baldoni, was “engaging in this extrajudicial campaign to influence these proceedings and the public perception of legal filings to this Court, and there already is a serious risk that his misconduct is tainting the jury pool.”

They added: “The endless stream of defamatory and extrajudicial media statements must end.”

Freedman said in a statement in response to Monday’s assertions that the “irony is not lost on anyone that Ms. Lively is so petrified of the truth that she has moved to gag it.”

“We will always respect the court; however, we will never be bullied by those suggesting we cannot defend our clients with pure, unedited facts,” the lawyer said. “All we want is for people to see the actual text messages that directly contradict her allegations, video footage that clearly shows there was no sexual harassment and all the other powerful evidence that directly contradicts any false allegations.”

In a letter to the judge on Thursday, Baldoni attorney Kevin Fritz accused Lively of a publicity campaign that left Baldoni and other defendants the “objects of public scorn and contempt.”

He said the actions had damaged those she sued so that they were “exiled from polite society and suffered damages totaling hundreds of millions of dollars due to Ms. Lively’s scorched-earth media campaign.”

In the separate filing in Hays County, Texas, a precursor to another potential lawsuit, Lively asks for an order for a deposition from Jed Wallace, a crisis management specialist she alleges was behind much of the social media manipulation surrounding the film that turned public sentiment against her through posts on Reddit and TikTok.

Wallace and his Texas-based firm Street Relations were brought on as subcontractors by publicists working with Baldoni and his production company, the filing said.

“He weaponized a digital army around the country, including in New York and Los Angeles, to create, seed, manipulate, and advance disparaging content that appeared to be authentic on social media platforms and internet chat forums,” the filing alleges.

Wallace is identified in Lively’s federal lawsuit, but he is not a defendant.

Freedman, who the filing says is Wallace’s lawyer, did not respond to a request for comment on the issue.

Lively sued Baldoni, his production company and others in New York in late December for sexual harassment and attacks on her reputation and asked for unspecified damages. Baldoni sued earlier this month, accusing Lively and her husband, “Deadpool” actor Ryan Reynolds, of defamation and extortion and seeking at least $400 million in damages.

The judge said Monday that he’ll likely combine the lawsuits for trial.

“It Ends With Us,” an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling 2016 novel that begins as a romance but takes a dark turn into domestic violence, was released in August, exceeding box office expectations with a $50 million debut. But the movie’s release was shrouded by speculation over discord between Lively and Baldoni.

Lively came to fame through the 2005 film “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” and bolstered her stardom on the TV series “Gossip Girl” from 2007 to 2012. She has since starred in films including “The Town” and “The Shallows.”

Baldoni starred in the TV comedy “Jane the Virgin,” directed the 2019 film “Five Feet Apart” and wrote “Man Enough,” a book pushing back against traditional notions of masculinity.

AP Entertainment Writer Andrew Dalton reported from Los Angeles.

Actress Blake Lively and actor Justin Baldoni have been given a March 2026 trial date for the lawsuit filed against them by author Colleen Hoover over their upcoming film adaptation of her book “It Ends With Us.”

Hoover alleges that Lively and Baldoni’s production company did not properly obtain the rights to adapt her book and that they have infringed on her copyright. The lawsuit has been ongoing for several years, with both parties unable to reach a settlement.

Lively and Baldoni have denied the allegations, stating that they followed all necessary legal procedures and obtained the rights to adapt the book. They are both looking forward to the trial in March 2026 to finally put the matter to rest.

Fans of the book are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the trial, hoping for a fair resolution that respects Hoover’s work while also allowing Lively and Baldoni to bring their vision of the story to the screen. Stay tuned for updates on this developing legal battle.

  • Nvidia Issues RTX 5090 and 5080 Stock Shortage Warning to PC Gamers Ahead of Hotly Anticipated Release Date

The Nvidia RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 launch is just around the corner, with both high-end GPUs due to be released on January 30. However, several reports from retailers and brands alike have stoked fears of shortages of both cards ahead of their release date.

With hopeful buyers already camping outside stores to get one of the coveted GPUs, Nvidia’s RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 are poised to be two of the most coveted graphics cards ever released, despite their $1,999 and $999 pricetags.

Manufacturer MSI (via WCCFTech) said the new GPUs will be in short supply due to the Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year. This will affect the first wave of GPUs, with stock expected to stabilize throughout February and beyond.

Several retailers have also spoken out regarding the supply of the RTX 5090 specifically, with Overclockers UK claiming it has only received “single digits at present.” Last week it said it only had a “few hundred” RTX 5080 GPUs for launch. This stock difficulty was corroborated by U.S. retailer PowerGPU, which tweeted: “The launch of the RTX 5090 will be the worst when it comes to availability.”

To quell the fears circulating online, Nvidia representative Tim@Nvidia posted a statement titled “GeForce RTX 50 Series Availability” on the company’s official forum. It reads:

“We expect significant demand for the GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 and believe stock-outs may happen. Nvidia and our partners are shipping more stock to retail every day to help get GPUs into the hands of gamers.”

With fears of limited stock rising, scalpers are poised to cash-in, with several listings for RTX 5090 GPUs already on eBay as “pre-sale.” One such listing showcases an Asus ROG Astral RTX 5090 as being available to order from a collectibles reseller for an eye-watering $5,750, an 187% increase over the original MSRP for the already expensive $1,999 card.

Nvidia may have a different kind of stock to prioritize this week, even amid the new launch of its latest consumer GPUs. The company’s share price tumbled by 16.86% on Monday following the emergence of Chinese AI model DeepSeek, whose claims of being trained for just $6 million puts Nvidia’s datacenter GPU sales prospects at risk.

Nvidia Issues RTX 5090 and 5080 Stock Shortage Warning to PC Gamers Ahead of Hotly Anticipated Release Date

Attention all PC gamers: Nvidia has issued a warning of potential stock shortages for the highly anticipated RTX 5090 and 5080 graphics cards. With the release date fast approaching, gamers are advised to act quickly if they want to secure one of these powerful GPUs.

The RTX 5090 and 5080 are set to revolutionize the gaming experience with their cutting-edge technology and impressive performance capabilities. However, Nvidia has cautioned that demand for these cards is expected to be extremely high, leading to possible shortages in stores and online retailers.

To avoid missing out on the chance to upgrade your gaming setup with one of these top-of-the-line graphics cards, it is recommended to pre-order as soon as possible or be prepared to act swiftly on release day. Keep an eye on Nvidia’s official website and authorized retailers for updates on availability and stock levels.

Don’t let this warning catch you off guard – be proactive and secure your RTX 5090 or 5080 before they sell out. Happy gaming!

  • Some Disappointing News About The ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 Release Date

At this point it seems pretty obvious that Stranger Things will return in the latter half of 2025, which would make it over three years since season 4 aired. That’s old news at this point, and while the wait is interminable, Netflix may be doing something else that most fans hate about new releases of seasons of popular shows, splitting it up.

According to reporting from What’s On Netflix, their sources have indicated that season 5 of Stranger Things will be split up into two parts. Season 4 of course had a seven and two episode split, one of the first Netflix shows that started chopping up its seasons, but while that was supposedly due to VFX work needing more time, now Netflix has been doing it for what appears to be the sole reason of keeping people subscribed for two months instead of one.

The report says that Stranger Things may end up being split between an October and November release, one month apart, but we don’t know if that’s 4 and 4 or maybe 6 and 2 like last season. There are other debates about its exact release date, but most of those center on November. Netflix has declined to comment about any of this.

I’m not sure I 100% buy that this is happening. It seems likely to happen, but we have also seen some shows either avoid being split or returning to a binge model after splitting previously. One example would be The Lincoln Lawyer going from a split model back to all episodes airing day one in its last season. The return of huge Netflix shows like The Night Agent and Squid Game have not been split into halves. I do believe Netflix may be scaling back on this practice overall, as I wonder if the drop-off in viewership between halves may not be offsetting this idea that people will subscribe for an extra month. And Netflix really wants people to finish its shows as a very important metric for them.

Stranger Things and also Wednesday season 2 will be a big test of this. In that case, I would venture that Wednesday might not be split, but Stranger Things? They may do what the last season did in the form of airing “normal” episodes first, then delaying what is no doubt going to be a blockbuster movie-level finale for the entire series, making it sort of its own standalone event. So even if Netflix is moving back to a binge-only model, Stranger Things season 5 may be an exception. I do think the service overall, however, is trending back toward the way things used to be. I hope this doesn’t happen with Stranger Things, and it may not, but it does seem likely.

    Hey Stranger Things fans,

I hate to be the bearer of disappointing news, but it looks like we may have to wait a little longer for the highly anticipated Season 5 of our favorite show.

Recent reports suggest that the release date for Stranger Things Season 5 has been pushed back due to various production delays and scheduling conflicts. As much as we were hoping to dive back into the Upside Down world sooner rather than later, it seems like we’ll have to exercise some patience.

While it’s definitely disappointing to hear about the delay, let’s try to focus on the positive side – the creators and cast of Stranger Things are working hard to deliver the best possible season for us, and good things come to those who wait, right?

In the meantime, we can rewatch the previous seasons, speculate about what might happen next, and maybe even catch up on some other shows to fill the void. Let’s stay positive and keep the excitement alive for when Stranger Things Season 5 finally graces our screens.

Hang in there, fellow fans. The wait will be worth it.

    Stay strange!

Imavov (15-4-0-1) is ranked fifth in the UFC middleweight division ahead of his UFC Saudi Arabia main event matchup against Adesanya. Imavov is riding a four-fight unbeaten streak. His most recent outing was a unanimous decision win over Brendan Allen in September.

Imavov’s most recent loss came in January 2023 when Sean Strickland bested him via unanimous decision.

  • “There Were No Inhibitions”: Charley Crockett Confirms Release Date for New Album, ‘The Lonesome Drifter’

Charley Crockett has unveiled his new album, The Lonesome Drifter, with the project set to arrive on March 14th. The title-track will be made available this Friday, January 31st 2025.

Previously teased earlier in the week via Crockett’s mailing list, The Lonesome Drifter serves as the ‘I’m Just a Clown’ singer-songwriter’s debut project since signing to Island Records.

Speaking ahead of the release, the enigmatic, traditional-leaning crooner has explained how he teamed up with Shooter Jennings for the project, with the duo recording The Lonesome Drifter in the space of just 10 days at Los Angeles’ Sounds Studio.

Charley Crockett casually recalls how the album came to be, “Shooter and I barely talked about it. I just brought all of my guys out, and the album made itself. It was live without a lot of overdubs. There were no inhibitions. I wasn’t being judged, and I didn’t feel self-conscious. Shooter knew how to cut loose and let this thing unfold”.

The Texas maverick, who claims to be a descendent of frontiersman Davy Crockett, goes on to touch on the inspiration behind The Lonesome Drifter‘s title-track, “I started writing the song back when I was still playing in subways in New York. It’s how I learned to play electric guitar with an amp on my shoulder. While I was waiting for the next train, I wrote songs. A few years later, I was in California working on the ganja farms, and I came up with the ‘Lonesome Drifter’ section”.

Crockett expands, “When I arrived on the West Coast, I worked to stay out there as a drifter, so I could get away with playing music for a living. At night, I was doing heavy electric blues and hillbilly shit at local bars for six hours. Shooter got me back into that mindset. The burden of becoming a troubadour is you’re standing in a position that gives you a clear perspective of the struggles of humans. When all is said and done, everyone is just swinging a hammer to survive”.

In addition to the title-track, The Lonesome Drifter is set to feature an array of never-heard-before offerings, including Charley Crockett’s much-loved cover of ‘Jamestown Ferry’, which originally appeared on his 2017 record, Lil G.L.’s Honky Tonk Jubilee.

The famously prolific artist released two albums last year, along with the cutting single, ‘Hey Mr. Nashville’, with 2025 already shaping up to be another big year for Crockett fans.

  • One Piece Season 2’s Release Date Update Confirms The Netflix Live-Action Show’s Biggest Challenge In Adapting The Anime

Netflix’s live-action One Piece adaptation has proven to be a huge success for the streaming service, and the second season already has a release window. However, it may be a longer wait than most audiences were anticipating. One Piece season 1 came out in the summer of 2023, and viewers have been waiting for season 2’s release date confirmation ever since. While that wait is normal for big-budget streaming shows, this scenario isn’t ideal for such an epic and long-running franchise as One Piece, which has plenty of material to cover.

Thankfully, One Piece‘s creator Eiichiro Oda is invested in the show quite strongly, so the long wait may be a result of trying to get everything perfect. It’s always going to be difficult to translate such a cartoonish show into a live-action format, but the first season did an excellent job of making the anime’s visuals mesh perfectly with a more realistic style. This will hopefully also be the case for One Piece season 2, as the show needs to introduce several new characters and locations before it can even come close to catching up with the manga and anime.

One Piece Season 2 Will Arrive More Than 2 Years After Season 1

It’s A Long Gap Between Seasons That Has Become Common For Streaming

It was recently confirmed that One Piece season 2 will arrive in late 2025, which is over two years since the first season was released. Thankfully, there’s a silver lining to the news; while it’s disappointing that audiences will have to wait another eight or nine months before jumping back into One Piece, it’s encouraging that a firm release window has finally been confirmed. This means the show is well on track to being completed and is likely already in post-production.

The One Piece, an One Piece anime remake from Wit Studio, is currently in development at Netflix.

Admittedly, two years isn’t too long to wait between seasons of a TV show – particularly for Netflix shows, which aren’t always guaranteed renewal in the first place. The only problem is that One Piece’s first season felt like a set-up for what’s to come in the future, and without knowing exactly what that is, it’s hard for audiences not familiar with the material to fully engage with this show yet. There’s no doubt that later seasons of One Piece will only get better as this universe expands, but this wait between seasons risks deterring new audiences from coming back.

One Piece Taking So Long Between Seasons Makes It Even More Difficult For It To Cover The Anime

The Show Will Struggle To Get Through The Whole Story

The main problem with One Piece’s two-year wait between seasons is the fact that Netflix’s show simply has so much material to cover. There are currently over 1,100 episodes of the One Piece anime, so it’s hard to imagine that Netflix’s adaptation will even come close to navigating the whole story if a two-year wait can be expected between each season. This is obviously a result of live-action filmmaking being more complicated and requiring more time to carry out, but it’s still a disappointment.

    One Piece’s Arabasta Saga arcs

    Little Garden

    70-77

    Drum Island

    78-91

    Arabasta

    92-130

Additionally, the One Piece anime is still running – which means Netflix will be lagging for the foreseeable future. It might even be difficult for long-time fans of the anime will get too invested in the live-action adaptation when the original show is still on air, as there’s a constant stream of new material to keep them entertained. With One Piece only covering Arabasta in season 3, the show might need to condense several storylines into shorter, more bite-size narratives that fit within a single season in the future.

Don’t Worry, One Piece Season 3 Might Not That Take Long To Premiere

The Gap Between Seasons 2 And 3 May Be Shorter

Coincidentally, Netflix may be planning a coordinated release strategy for One Piece’s second and third seasons, as they’ve been doing with other popular shows recently. Squid Game is a prime example – the show’s second and third seasons were both renewed at the same time, and the filming process for both seasons was somewhat intertwined. This meant that the gap between seasons was much shorter, with Squid Game season 3 releasing in 2025. Netflix could be planning a similar release strategy with One Piece.

One Piece Season 2 Can Give Us The Nico Robin Scene That Should’ve Happened In The Anime 24 Years Ago

Netflix’s One Piece season 2 has a golden opportunity to add a Nico Robin scene that didn’t happen in the original anime and manga series.

This theory looks increasingly likely when considering the actual content of One Piece season 2, and how easily it could tie into the next collection of episodes. It’s already been confirmed that One Piece season 2 will end shortly before the Arabasta arc, so it may lead directly into season 3 – just as Squid Game did. This would be a brilliant way of tying the two seasons together, but it only works if the wait for season 3 is not as long.

The best solution to overcome these inherent obstacles for Netflix’s One Piece is to view the show as totally separate from both the manga and the anime.

If this is the case, One Piece could definitely become one of Netflix’s biggest properties in the future. This release strategy has proven incredibly successful for the streaming service, as it allows shows to connect their narrative arcs more clearly – and it’s less of a strain on audiences’ memories between seasons. Stranger Things is another great example of this, as the show’s fourth season was split into two parts which were released a few months apart. This made the wait for Stranger Things season 5 much more bearable.

Netflix’s One Piece Has A Virtually Impossible Mission In Covering The Entire Manga

Netflix’s Show Won’t Come Close To Covering The Whole Manga

Even if Netflix’s One Piece manages to condense the anime into bite-size pieces that prevent it from feeling too far behind, there’s virtually no way the show will be able to catch up with the original manga. It’s impossible to imagine that One Piece will go on long enough to cover over 1,000 chapters of storytelling, many of which have plenty of new characters and locations. The decision to save Arabasta for season 3 is confirmation of this – the live-action show isn’t in a rush, and there’s an ocean of material ahead of it.

Ultimately, the best solution to overcome these inherent obstacles for Netflix’s One Piece is to view the show as totally separate from both the manga and the anime. It’s never going to cover the same ground, so expecting that is essentially just setting the show up for failure. Instead, it’s much easier to understand the live-action show as its own story that follows a more traditional release format (as opposed to the 1,000+ episodes of the anime) and takes creative liberties along the way.
