SO misleading

This is a hard review for me to write since I really don’t want to be negative about an item that some people would find acceptable but its full of short comings. First off, the item does work and shows a picture, shows your area temp once you add your location, the alarm does work just fine also. The touch screen does work but is extremely sluggish on my model, plus your slide show is limited to 30 photos. Let’s say you select 25 photos to upload into your machine and you want just one to play constantly, then you must pause since it always wants to run a slide show.
Now let’s talk about resolution, they say 2k sorry, but this screen is more like 720p on a good day. I tried to display a 1920x1080p photo and it wouldn’t display right just sections of the photo appeared. Yet they state in the writing on this listing its 2k “FULLJA digital picture frame equipped with 2K IPS panel (ratio 4:3) 2176*1600 pixels”. They claim this is a 4/3 display but its 10 3/4 max BY 9 inches, to be 4:3 it would have to be 12×9 inch display. So, it’s not even 11 inches diagonal as stated and not really 4:3 ration and the resolution are wrong. This is listed at a high asking price, and it only features 16 gigs internal storage whereas other models with the similar specifications are much cheaper. As for videos I couldn’t get the application or that photo apps they have you use to upload anything, but photos and I didn’t add the extra memory card I have on hand. So, I am not sure if you put videos on the memory card and insert the card if the device will show the videos, I know the app wouldn’t for me. Its ok but so many flaws 3 stars max. Would I buy it or give it as a gift? As the item sits right now, I wouldn’t purchase the for my friends unless they fix the issues with the device.

This picture frame comes beautifully packaged. It’s probably one of the most beautiful boxes I have seen for gifting.
The picture frame itself looks like a traditional frame and can be hung, portrait or horizontal. The frame itself is plastic. I feel at this price point it should have been wood.
The reason I got this is because you can load photos via the app or email. Because family is out of state, I can load photos onto the app and have them show up in Grandma and Grandpa’s living room.
I do think at this price point it could have had a little larger memory capacity. But the image quality is really good and the plastic does make it quite durable.
