  • ‘Sub in Charlie Woods’: Calls Mount for Kevin Kisner to Be Fired Amid Yet Another Disastrous TGL Outing

Kevin Kisner out. Charlie Woods in. That’s the prevalent sentiment midway through the second match of Jupiter Links. Kisner struggled in the first match itself, hitting into the water, and then pulling off a shank no one ever thought was possible with a wedge. The Kiz Show is still going on in the second match of the Jupiter Links GC. The veteran golfer has the chops for self-deprecation but that’s not the only skill fans expect to see from him.

In the second match in TGL, this time against, Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, and Adam Scott’s Boston Common Golf, Kisner was once again struggling. Jupiter Links threw the hammer on the second hole, confident enough to win and rake in two points.

But Kisner missed the putt forcing Tom Kim to come to rescue. They eventually lost the hammer as Boston tied the hole. In the last match, other than a few haywire approach shots and drives, Kisner’s highlight was the bizarre shank. The veteran pro, who moonlights as an analyst for Golf Channel as well, fired his wedge straight at the flagstick. The ball hit the flagstick and jetted off to the sides

It left everyone in splits. “We honestly didn’t think that anyone could possibly get hit in here. But that was one of the funniest moments I’ve ever seen, Kis hitting that shot like that. We were just dying,” said the Tiger Woods at that time. He still included Kisner in the team in place of Max Homa. Nevertheless, as the four-time PGA Tour winner continued to put the team in a difficult position, some fans actually wanted him replaced and subbed out from the team.

Fans want to see Charlie Woods and it’s not a bad idea

Ironically, Kevin Kisner asked Charlie to come down in the previous match. ““You wanna come and play? Come sub in, man! Bring in the righty.” Some fans would actually want that to happen. “Charlie Woods would probably be a significant improvement over Kevin Kisner who should be permanently benched,” noted one frustrated fan.”Can @JupiterLinksGC sub in Charlie for Kisner?!” wrote one user.  Of course, that is not happening. Not at least in this season. Notably, TGL doesn’t allow substitution within a match as well.

It’s not a bad idea though. Firstly, the veteran golfer indeed looks out of place in front of a simulator. Secondly, Woods Jr., being a teenager with a quite impressive game, would benefit the team more. Plus, of course, you can’t rule out the charm of watching the father-son duo teeing off together week in and week out. Then the teenager is an elite trash talker, who, if mic’d up wouldn’t refrain from throwing darts at his dad’s colleagues. He is actually in the arena and offering tips to his father.

Referring to his shank from the last time, Kyle Porter, former CBS writer and current betting analyst at TGL, tweeted, “I am convinced that Jupiter declined the hammer not because they weren’t going to win the hole but to keep the fans safe from another Kevin Kisner bunker shot.” Alex Myers, Senior Writer at Golf Digest, actually joked that Woods is facing a more difficult task than the 2008 US Open, where he played with a broken leg and still won his 14th major title in a Monday playoff.Tiger Woods winning a TGL match with Kevin Kisner as a teammate would be more impressive than him winning a U.S. Open on a broken leg.

While, Frankie Borrelli of Barstool Sports wrote, “Kevin Kisner walks into the TGL arena and every ounce of skill in his body stays in the parking lot.” The 40-year-old somewhat redeemed himself with a clutch 10-footer putt on the 8th hole. A few minutes before that Kisner actually hit probably his best shot in TGL, a spectacular approach on the 7th. But he still has a long way to go before he has the fans convinced of his worth. Till then fans will keep calling for Charlie Woods.

It seems like the pressure is mounting for Kevin Kisner as fans and critics alike are calling for him to be benched in favor of the young prodigy, Charlie Woods. Kisner’s recent performance in The Golf League (TGL) has been nothing short of disastrous, with missed putts, errant drives, and lackluster play all around.

Many are pointing to Woods as the solution to TGL’s woes, noting his impressive skills and potential to turn things around for the struggling team. With Kisner’s lack of results and ongoing struggles, the calls for his firing are only getting louder.

Will TGL make the bold move to sub in Charlie Woods and give him a chance to shine? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain – the pressure is on for Kisner to step up his game or risk losing his spot on the team. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

Team India Starts Sydney Test On A Disastrous Note

Team India, which already lost two test matches in a row in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy, has started the fifth and final test match at Sydney Cricket Ground on a disastrous note. It got all-out for mere 185 runs in the first innings. People thought Rohit Sharma’s absence would help team in making a strong comeback but India was poor without him too.

As captain Rohit Sharma opted out due to his poor performance, Jasprit Bumrah wore the skipper’s hat this time. While Shubman Gill replaced Rohit, Prasidh Krishna came in the place of injured Akash Deep. Everyone thought India would make a strong comeback as Bumrah returned to captaincy after winning the first test. However, the first day was a disappointment.

After winning the toss, Bumrah chose to bat first. However, it got a poor start as openers Jaiswal and Rahul got out pretty early. Only Rishab Pant (40) played a responsible innings but it lasted very short. Bumrah’s (22) cameo in the end didn’t help either. As a result, India got all-out for just 185.

Scott Boland (4/31) picked up four wickets, while Mitchell Starc (3/49) and Pat Cummins (2/37) took three and two wickets respectively. After this disastrous start, it has to be seen if India makes a strong comeback later in the test.

In a shocking turn of events, Team India has started the Sydney Test on a disastrous note. The team, which was hoping to bounce back after a tough loss in the previous match, has struggled right from the start.

The Indian batsmen have failed to make an impact, with key players getting out early and the middle order crumbling under pressure. The Australian bowlers have been relentless, making it difficult for the Indian batsmen to score runs.

On the other hand, the Indian bowlers have also struggled to contain the Australian batsmen, who have been scoring runs at will. The fielding has been sloppy, with dropped catches and misfields costing the team dearly.

With the odds stacked against them, Team India will need to regroup and come up with a solid plan to turn things around in the remaining days of the match. The fans are hoping for a miraculous comeback, but it will take a lot of effort and determination from the team to salvage the situation.

Stay tuned for more updates on Team India’s performance in the Sydney Test. Let’s hope they can turn things around and make a strong comeback! #TeamIndia #SydneyTest #CricketUpdates

  • Kings reach rock bottom with disastrous collapse in loss to Pistons

Kings reach rock bottom with disastrous collapse in loss to Pistons

Kings reach rock bottom with disastrous collapse in loss to Pistons originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area

SACRAMENTO – Next stop for the Kings: Rock Bottom.

That is, if they’re not there already.

Thursday’s stunning 114-113 loss to the Detroit Pistons was a perfect synopsis of the Kings’ recent fortunes – their inability to hold onto big leads, their inability to hone in on key details and make plays down the stretch, and a general sense of malaise in crunch time.

For the second consecutive game, the Kings were booed by the passionate home crowd at Golden 1 Center, a sign of just how bad things have gotten lately.

That’s five consecutive losses for Sacramento, the Kings’ longest slide since a seven-game skid during the 2021-22 NBA season.

In a campaign with gut punch after gut punch, this one feels like it hurts the most.

The Kings led by as much as 19 and held a 98-83 advantage following Trey Lyles’ 3-pointer with 8:31 left to play. Sacramento’s offense seized up like a bad engine after that, as Mike Brown watched his team go scoreless over the next 3 minutes.

They got outscored 24-13 over the final 5 ½ minutes, and that wasn’t the worst part.

With the Kings holding a three-point lead as the clock was ticking off the final seconds, Detroit’s Jaden Ivey position himself in the right corner for a 3-pointer. Fox closed out a bit too hard and fouled Ivey, who made the basket and free throw for the game-deciding points.

It was a complete breakdown in defensive philosophy that killed the Kings, according to Brown.

“If you’re up three and guys are going to the 3-point line, there should be no closeout opportunity. No closeout opportunity,” Brown explained. “We were OK with the mscoring a two at the rim so you should not be in position to help at all. You should be hugged up to your man at the 3-point line. Everybody should. Why there was closeout by Fox? I’m not sure.

“Tough loss that at worst should have gone into overtime.”

Brown also had issues with Kings’ pace over the final six minutes — “We come to a complete stop with about six minutes to go. Three minutes to go we’re rolling the ball and walking it, going against a set defense every time,” Brown said.

The Pistons scored 37 points in the fourth quarter after getting only 43 combined in the second and third quarters.

“We gotta have some form of mental toughness,” Brown said. “We’re getting hit with screens and we literally stopped and complained to the referee. That’s not winning basketball.”

Fox acknowledged the frustration that the Kings are feeling, especially after letting another game slip away at the end.

“We knew this was a game that was winnable,” Fox said. “We gave ourselves a chance to win going into the fourth quarter and we didn’t do a good job. We gotta be able to finish games better.”

The Sacramento Kings hit rock bottom in a heartbreaking collapse against the Detroit Pistons. Despite holding a commanding lead for most of the game, the Kings crumbled in the final minutes, allowing the Pistons to come back and steal the victory.

The Kings’ defense fell apart in the fourth quarter, giving up easy baskets and failing to get stops when it mattered most. Their offense also sputtered, with key players missing crucial shots and turning the ball over at critical moments.

This loss epitomized the struggles the Kings have faced all season, as they continue to underperform and disappoint their fans. With playoff hopes fading fast, the Kings must regroup and find a way to turn things around before it’s too late.

It’s a dark day for Sacramento basketball as the Kings reach rock bottom with this disastrous collapse against the Pistons. Can they bounce back from this devastating defeat, or is their season already beyond repair? Only time will tell.

  • NC State’s disastrous second half leads to loss at UVA

NC State’s disastrous second half leads to loss at UVA

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. — NC State built as much as a 14-point lead early in the second half, but couldn’t hold on late in a 70-67 loss to Virginia in Charlottesville. Jayden Taylor finished with a team-high 14 points, but hit just one shot in the second half as the Pack shot just 34.4 percent in the final 20 minutes to fall to 1-1 in ACC play heading into January.

Here are the immediate takeaways from NC State’s ACC road opener against Virginia in Charlottesville on New Year’s Eve to close out the 2024 portion of the season.

    Making it Rain Early

Against a team that relies heavily on its defense and frustrating opponents with a slow approach on offense to carry it to wins, NC State’s efficiency was key on Tuesday afternoon. But with Ben Middlebrooks not active due to illness in the first half, the Wolfpack didn’t go inside often against the Hoos, instead relying on its outside shooting early on.

For a team coming in at 32 percent shooting from behind the arc on the season — which ranked 232nd in the country — coming into Tuesday, the Pack looked like an improved team from the perimeter. The Pack shot 6-of-11 from behind the arc in the first half with Jayden Taylor and Breon Pass both draining multiple triples in the first 20 minutes. State also shot 61.9 percent from the field in the first half, which was its best shooting clip in a half against a high-major opponent this season.

Couldn’t Hit Water From a Boat in the Second Half

It must have been the one rim that was working for both teams because the Wolfpack simply didn’t have it in the second half while UVA couldn’t miss. The Pack got several open looks, but started off 1-of-7 from behind the arc and 5-of-19 overall in the second half to watch its lead dissipate from 14 points with 18:30 left to play down to trailing by eight points with 8:02 remaining — a 22-point swing for Virginia in less than 11 minutes of play.

Virginia finally got going from behind the arc by making six of its first nine 3-pointers and 11-of-14 overall in the second half. NC State had multiple scoring droughts of three minutes or more, including a 17-3 scoring run for UVA to retake the lead and ultimately pull past the Pack in Charlottesville. Michael O’Connell had another last-second shot opportunity, but it fell shot from halfcourt and sent the Pack home with its first ACC loss of the season.

Need a Reset to Start 2025

It’s hard to label a game a “must-win” this early in the season, but the Wolfpack really needed a win over a lowly Virginia team on the road to regain some confidence heading into January. Instead, State fell apart in the second half like it has far too many times early on this season against quality competition and couldn’t recover to drop to .500 in ACC play with a tough early portion coming up.

The Pack now heads out on the road against Wake Forest this Saturday before hosting Notre Dame then UNC-Chapel Hill inside the Lenovo Center. State needs a healthy Middlebrooks and has to find a way to put together two solid halves against to claw its way back in ACC play. In a conference where State likely needs 13-14 wins to guarantee a spot in the NCAA Tournament, losses like Tuesday at UVA are potential back breakers for the program’s resumé.

In a shocking turn of events, NC State’s basketball team suffered a devastating loss to the University of Virginia after a disastrous second half performance. Despite leading at halftime, the Wolfpack struggled to maintain their momentum in the final minutes of the game, ultimately falling to the Cavaliers by a narrow margin.

Fans were left in disbelief as NC State’s once-promising lead dwindled away, with missed shots, turnovers, and defensive lapses plaguing the team in the second half. Head coach Kevin Keatts expressed his disappointment in the team’s performance, noting that they failed to execute their game plan effectively down the stretch.

The loss dealt a significant blow to NC State’s hopes of making a deep run in the upcoming postseason, highlighting the need for the team to regroup and refocus in the remaining games of the regular season. With tough matchups on the horizon, the Wolfpack will need to address their issues and come together as a unit to bounce back from this disappointing defeat.

As fans and players alike come to terms with the tough loss, it’s clear that NC State will need to learn from their mistakes and make adjustments in order to finish the season strong. Only time will tell if the Wolfpack can overcome this setback and emerge stronger on the other side.

  • 49ers to repeat formula in 2025 with Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch, despite a disastrous 2024

49ers to repeat formula in 2025 with Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch, despite a disastrous 2024

Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch are set to continue their journey with the San Francisco 49ers next season, despite the challenges faced during the 2024 campaign. Team owner Jed York made this clear in a recent conversation with The San Francisco Standard, expressing his steadfast support for the coach-general manager duo.

York stated, “They’re not going anywhere,” reinforcing the idea that the successful partnership will remain intact. This assurance comes amidst swirling rumors regarding Shanahan’s potential interest from other teams seeking a head coach. York emphasized, “You can write that, for sure.”

Reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter support York’s position, indicating that the 49ers have no plans to trade Shanahan, who has also expressed his desire to stay. Earlier this month, he addressed trade speculations directly, saying, “I don’t want to be any place in the world more than here.” This commitment reflects the long-term vision that both Shanahan and Lynch have cultivated since they joined the organization in 2017.

    York: “They’re not going anywhere”

Lynch shared similar thoughts during a Dec. 8 interview ahead of the 49ers’ game against the Chicago Bears. Commenting on the chatter surrounding Shanahan’s future, Lynch remarked, “I’ve found the whole discussion on Kyle and some of the stuff rather comical.” He pointed out their significant achievements, highlighting, “We have won four of the last five division championships. We’ve been in two Super Bowls. The standard here is to win championships, and we’ve fallen short of that, but we have an excellent head coach.”

The recent struggles of the 49ers have been surprising, given their history of strong performances under Shanahan and Lynch. Following a loss to the Detroit Lions, San Francisco’s record now stands at 6-10, marking their first losing season since 2020. However, the accomplishments of Shanahan and Lynch are noteworthy. In their eight seasons with the franchise, they have led the team to four NFC Championship Game appearances and two Super Bowl runs.

Both Shanahan and Lynch secured multiyear extensions in September 2023, solidifying their roles within the organization. While this season has posed significant challenges, York’s public endorsement underscores the faith in their leadership. For now, any discussions about departures remain speculative, as both Shanahan and Lynch seem dedicated to guiding the 49ers back to championship glory.

The San Francisco 49ers may have had a disastrous 2024 season, but don’t count them out just yet. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch are poised to repeat the formula that brought them success in the past and lead the team to glory in 2025.

Despite facing numerous challenges and setbacks in 2024, including injuries to key players and underperforming performances on the field, Shanahan and Lynch have remained committed to their vision for the team. They have shown resilience and determination, working tirelessly to make the necessary adjustments and improvements for the upcoming season.

With a talented roster and a proven coaching staff in place, the 49ers have the potential to turn things around in 2025. Shanahan’s innovative offensive schemes and Lynch’s savvy roster building skills have been the foundation of the team’s success in the past, and there’s no reason to believe that they can’t replicate that success once again.

So, despite the disappointments of 2024, 49ers fans can look forward to a bright future with Shanahan and Lynch at the helm. With their leadership and dedication, the team is poised to make a strong comeback and compete for a championship in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for an exciting and promising 2025 season for the San Francisco 49ers. #GoNiners

  • One of the Most Disastrous Beginnings in ‘The Rookie’ Turned Into Its Best Storyline

One of the Most Disastrous Beginnings in ‘The Rookie’ Turned Into Its Best Storyline

Typically, when The Rookie introduces a new character out of the blue and gives them a significant amount of screen time, the character turns out to be a villain. This has been the case more than once with characters like Caleb (Michael Cassidy), Detective Armstrong (Harold Perrineau), and, most recently, Dr. London (Danielle Campbell). Because of this, when the show does introduce a new character, it takes a while to believe that the character can be trusted — or that they will actually stick around.

Perhaps no recurring character on The Rookie had a more disastrous introduction than Tamara Collins (Dylan Conrique). Initially introduced as the thief of Lucy Chen’s (Melissa O’Neil) car, Tamara became integral to the show as Lucy’s eventual close friend and roommate. This unlikely close friendship became The Rookie‘s best storyline, thanks to its strong buildup and development. Season 6 sees Tamara moving out of Lucy’s apartment and trying to become more independent, and it is amazing to look back at how far this character has come since her first scene.

Tamara Had a Rough Start on ‘The Rookie’

Tamara Collins and Lucy Chen meeting for the first time in The Rookie Season 3
    Image via ABC

In Season 3, Episode 2, “In Justice,” Lucy is upset because her car was stolen. Nobody else understands why she is upset; her car is an old, barely functioning heap of junk. As Lucy tells Tim (Eric Winter), though, she has had that car for many years and stages of her life, and her car was the only place where she felt safe after Caleb kidnapped her. On the quest to get her car back, Lucy ends up tracking down the thief, and Tamara is initially introduced as a thief.

Lucy arrests Tamara, but quickly decides not to press charges when she realizes that Tamara is a seventeen-year-old orphan who is living out of Lucy’s car. Lucy makes it her mission to help Tamara by finding her a place to live, giving Tamara her car, and making Tamara check in with her every day so that she can look out for her.

This could have been a throwaway and predictable storyline where Lucy helps Tamara, “saves her,” and then sends her on her way, but The Rookie sidestepped that trap and ended up turning that dynamic into a really lovely friendship. Tamara keeps coming back to the show, and gradually, her role shifts from that of Lucy’s “puppy” to that of her close friend and roommate, who has a moving and dynamic story arc of her own.

“You Never Really Stop Being” The Rookie in Bonkers First Season 7 Trailer

The show returns in early 2025 on January 7.

Lucy and Tamara’s Friendship Is the Best Storyline in ‘The Rookie’

Before Tamara, Lucy’s only storylines were either related to the station or her parents. It was so nice to see Lucy take a risk with Tamara and see that turn into a genuine friendship. While the relationship starts with Lucy looking out for Tamara, it becomes more balanced. Lucy helps Tamara work through her past, and Tamara is there to support Lucy through Jackson’s (Titus Makin Jr.) shocking and sudden death and Rosalind’s (Annie Wersching) trial. Tamara often provides much-needed comic relief to the show and frequently acts as a sounding board for Lucy.

Season 6 sees Tamara make the decision to move out of Lucy’s apartment to live with some friends of hers. While it’s sad to see her go, and Lucy takes it very hard, this is a major moment of growth for Tamara. Through her friendship with Lucy, they both were able to grow as people and came out of it better off. The Rookie often makes the mistake of abandoning characters without properly ending their arcs once their storylines are no longer relevant to the main characters. Possibly the worst example of this is Rachel (Jasmine Matthews), who never even got a proper breakup with Tim. It would be a huge mistake if the show did this with Tamara.

Going into Season 7, The Rookie needs to keep Tamara around, even though she and Lucy aren’t roommates anymore. She is an incredibly compelling character with a background and story arc unlike anyone else on the show, and she is Lucy’s closest living friend. Particularly in light of Lucy and Tim’s breakup, this friendship needs to be a significant part of Season 7. Additionally, Tamara is a fully-fledged character outside of Lucy, and the show should continue to follow her arc and honor its best friendship.

Season 7 of The Rookie will air January 7 on ABC.

    WATCH ON HULU

In the hit TV show “The Rookie,” one of the most disastrous beginnings turned into its best storyline. When rookie cop John Nolan first joined the LAPD as the oldest rookie on the force, he faced skepticism and doubt from his fellow officers. But as he proved himself time and time again with his dedication, bravery, and determination, he won over his colleagues and viewers alike.

One of the most memorable moments in the show’s history was when Nolan’s training officer, Talia Bishop, was shot and critically injured during a routine call. This tragic event not only tested Nolan’s resolve but also forced him to confront his own fears and insecurities. The aftermath of Bishop’s shooting became a turning point for Nolan, as he became even more determined to make a difference and protect his community.

Through this challenging experience, Nolan’s character grew and developed in ways that no one could have predicted. The bond between him and his fellow officers deepened, and he emerged as a true leader within the department. What started as a rocky start for Nolan turned into one of the most compelling storylines in “The Rookie,” showcasing his resilience and unwavering commitment to serving and protecting others.

This storyline is a testament to the show’s ability to take a seemingly disastrous situation and turn it into a powerful and impactful narrative. It’s a reminder that even in the face of adversity, there is always the potential for growth, redemption, and ultimately, triumph. And in the case of John Nolan, his journey from rookie cop to seasoned officer is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of perseverance.

  • NFL Playoff Scenarios: Seattle Seahawks eliminated after disastrous three-week stretch

NFL Playoff Scenarios: Seattle Seahawks eliminated after disastrous three-week stretch

The Seattle Seahawks’ nightmarish three weeks of losses and unfavorable results elsewhere has led to the end of their division title and playoff hopes.

Absent a Los Angeles Rams loss to the Arizona Cardinals (spoiler: it didn’t happen), the next best thing for the Seahawks was to avoid having any four of the following six teams winning their respective Week 17 games: Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders, and San Francisco 49ers.

Well, we didn’t even make it to the 49ers game on Monday.

The Bengals won in overtime over the Denver Broncos on Saturday, the Bills blew out the New York Jets on Sunday, the Vikings held off the Green Bay Packers, and while the Browns lost to the Miami Dolphins, the Commanders (led by former Seahawks Super Bowl champion defensive coordinator Dan Quinn) rallied to beat the Atlanta Falcons in an overtime thriller.

The Seattle Seahawks’ path to a strength of victory tiebreaker is out of the question. They are officially eliminated from postseason contention, and the Los Angeles Rams are NFC West champions after starting 1-4 with a slew of injuries on the offensive line and at wide receiver.

This was what the NFC West standings looked like after Week 14:

    NFC West Standings, Week 14

    1. Seattle Seahawks (8-5, 3-2 NFCW)
    2. Los Angeles Rams (7-6, 2-1 NFCW)
    3. Arizona Cardinals (6-7, 2-2 NFCW, H2H vs. SF)
    4. San Francisco 49ers (6-7, 1-3 NFCW)

And this is what it looks like now:

    NFC West Standings, Week 17

    1. Los Angeles Rams (10-6, 4-1 NFCW)
    2. Seattle Seahawks (9-7, 3-2 NFC W)
    3. Arizona Cardinals (7-9, 2-3 NFCW)
    4. San Francisco 49ers (6-9, 1-4 NFCW)

There were few paths where the Seahawks could’ve put themselves from sole possession of first place in mid-December to completely out of the playoff hunt before Week 18, but they found it. Yes, the Rams had some good fortune by winning seemingly every close game they had to win over the last five weeks, but they won them. The Seahawks had one close game they had to win against the Minnesota Vikings and lost it. Almost every other result related to Seattle’s playoff hopes also went against the Seahawks. It happens.

Seahawks miss the playoffs in back-to-back years for first time since 2008-2009

The Seahawks have now missed the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time since Mike Holmgren’s injury-laden final season in 2008 and the horrendous Jim Mora tenure of 2009, in which the Seahawks went a combined 9-23. Seattle has had only one season come remotely close to those teams,

With just one playoff win in the last eight seasons and similarly only one NFC West title in that same span, this is the worst stretch of Seahawks football in terms of playoff success since the dreaded 21-year playoff drought from 1984 to 2005.

Unlike when the Jim Mora succession plan blew up in Tim Ruskell’s face, Mike Macdonald neither a one-year hire nor is general manager John Schneider likely to have the same fate as Ruskell did. Barring something bizarre and completely unforeseen, Macdonald has provided plenty of positives on the defensive side of the ball and turned one of the league’s worst units into an above-average group.

Oh well. There’s always next year. But there’s still the Rams game to be played, and it’ll be interesting to see what Mike Macdonald decides to do with regards to playing starters vs. backups.

Just remember that the San Francisco 49ers cannot win the Super Bowl this year, for they’re also not in the playoffs.

The Seattle Seahawks have been eliminated from playoff contention after a disastrous three-week stretch that saw them lose three straight games.

Despite starting the season strong and looking like a legitimate playoff contender, the Seahawks faltered down the stretch and were unable to secure a spot in the postseason.

With a record of 6-8, the Seahawks are now officially out of playoff contention and will be watching the postseason from the sidelines for the first time since 2017.

The team’s struggles can be attributed to a number of factors, including injuries to key players, inconsistent play on both sides of the ball, and a tough schedule that featured matchups against some of the top teams in the league.

While the Seahawks may be out of the playoff picture this year, fans can take solace in the fact that the team has a talented roster and a proven coaching staff, giving them hope for a bounce-back season in 2022.
